Easy to find. Good food at the restaurant. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed.

The shower was over a bath and was slippery. There was a door somewhere banging loudly a lot until nearly midnight with people coming and going, so not a quiet room.

Tidy room, park right up to room, breakfasts excellent.

A number of potholes down side to room, but we'll away from room.

All of the stay was excellent, at the time of stay there was staff shortage due to sickness hitting the area

It cater our needs. APOLOGIES for children laughter as we had a few noise complaints but other than that excellent condition. It was my husband one year memorial when he passaway. So we all wanted to be together

The room is stuffy....no windows, no fresh air!!! Suffocating....very uncomfortable and woke up many times at night....there was an air-conditioning but NO FRESH AIR COMING IN as no windows. I questioned but was told "you can open the door a bit". Excuse me? Opening the door to sleep at night???? Not happy.

Great room; warm, comfortable, well-appointed and spacious. Always a great stay.

We couldn't get the TV to work (very minor), and the roast meal we had at The Grill was dry (also very minor in the big scheme of things). But that's not a criticism from us it's feedback which I know as a business owner is important. Will happily stay again.

Good value for money. Excellent dinner in the restaurant and friendly restaurant staff. Parking outside our door. Lovely gas fire to sit beside in the lounge. Easy drive from Wellington.

Disappointed that the heated pool was too cold to swim in. Spa was not warm enough either.

Loved the service at breakfast and the very helpful staff.

There were stains on the bed sheets and blanket at the foot of the bed. I was charged on my credit card for the shower cap and soap I used in the bathroom.

It is an old tired and noisy motel.

The indoor pool & spa until 10pm was an amazing first experience for our family of 4.

The road on the right side going to our room 412 can do with a repair.

I think the breakfast is very average. We went and had a look on Saturday morning, but decided to go to a local cafe.

Indoor pool was really the highlight of our stay. My liitle one loved it.

The 2 bedroom apartment was actually a 1 bedroom with a bed in lounge, not really suitable for work people. It said on my booking that we had an inner courtyard, garden and pool view, we did not.

Overall the hotel has good facilities and well set out.

While it was a quieter weekend and not many people at the hotel, we decided to eat in The Grill restaurant for dinner. Food was good but the bar had closed so drinks were no longer able to be served. Thats all good but the staff could have notified diners for last call.

Bit of a delay checking in as weren’t enough office staff around. By when they could attend, were very helpful.

Checking in took almost an hour - they only had 1 person on the desk at check in time and there was no urgency at all which was as bit confusing given the amount of the people in the line.

My Children and I enjoy almost everything

We were told our breakfast was included when checking in , We had the breakfast buffet explained to us . On the third day we were approached by a very rude staff member saying our meals were not included . After she had gone away to triple check she was right , she later came back and told me not to worry about it . All solved she said , well this was very incorrect. As soon as we left I was sent an invoice for all of our breakfasts meals. Ive since called the receptionist 3x to sort this matter but seem to always be directed to voice mail . This hotel is still sending me the same invoice 1month later demanding a response from me . Without responding to my calls , very confusing and very disappointing after a wonderful stay.

The room and beds were very comfortable.

Made us wait 3 hours for check-in. They had a few housekeepers sick and were very delayed servicing the rooms. They didn't allow us to use the pool while we waited for check-in. The hotel exterior and common areas are quite rundown.

Pool was great - heaps of fun with a 6 year old. Having a restaurant on site was also great. Staff were very friendly and parking outside our room was perfect.

It was very cold walking through the connecting hallways to the pool - they could be kept warmer as it was freezing walking back to the room when we were wet. The only other thing was I found a used cotton bud in the room which was gross.

The range of amenities - tennis court, indoor pool, gym, squas court. The reasonable price.

Slowish service in the restaurant and dry chicken.

When I went online to book my stay, it had said that a bathrobe and slippers would be provided. When I checked into my room, there weren't any. So I felt overall my stay was good, but I wouldn't say it was value for money.

Location and reception staff were very nice

I had to move rooms because the door couldn’t be opened from the corridor. The next rooms fridge didnt work and I could turn up the heating on a very cold night. The corridors were cold to walk through - very old and tired looking and at breakfast i wasnt even asked if I wanted a hot drink when i sat down

Overall, it suited our one night stay, easy to find and comfortable. Considering the age of the Solway the maintenance is very good and I would return.

pool was too busy and some kids poorly watched and proceeded to do bombs and endanger others.

Unfortunately I became unwell during our stay. The staff were very kind and accomodating of our situation. We ended up extending our stay as I was unable to travel.

The location was good and rooms nicely appointed, although the bathroom was a bit worn. The doors from the corridors are older type doors, meaning that sound from the hallway was a real issue.

The beds were uncomfortable and poor for roll together. Only one pillow was provided per bed. The room could have been cleaner. The bedroom mirror was grubby and the bathroom floor not properly mopped.
