the location
the food the pool (near the sea)
Location overlooking the sea and near to town. Old village style buildings with gardens. Amazing choice of food at every meal. Rooms dated but had a/c, tea & coffee making facilities, choice of view etc. Lovely, helpful staff.
Not enough sunbeds. Never able to get a sunbed until 4-5pm every day. Towels being placed on beds before 7am every day and left there with no one removing them. Long queues at times for meals. In other hotels we were given a choice of time to limit queues.
HOTEL
We were a party of 25 family members celebrating my 70th birthday. The staff, under the guidance of the General Manager Spilios Vlachoulis, couldn't be more helpful. They understood our needs and did everything they could to make our stay the best it could be. We had one or two issues that were quickly dealt with and happily resolved. The food was excellent and again the staff were professional and very helpful. Our thanks to Spilios for a wonderful experience.
No complaints at all.
Fine basseng. Fine rom.

Beautiful hotel which is like a tiny Cretan village. The food was lovely, plenty of choice for everyone. Staff were mostly helpful and friendly. The beach is natural with rocks and small stones which we loved. We celebrated a 70th birthday and we couldn’t have had a better time. When some of our party were ill the hotel management were super helpful and looked after all our needs. I would highly recommend and will definitely return soon.
The Staff were very nice and always helpfull. They provided many activities throughout the day and it was never really boring. The pools were very clean and the commen areas were very well kept.
The food was very repetitive so it became boring with time. You never got hungry though because the offered food nonstop from 7 am till 9 pm. There also weren't that big variety of cocktails in the all inclusive package. The amount of sun beds wasn't that big and people also preserved everything from early in the morning, even though it wasn't allowed, so it was hard to find a place around the pool.
Tutto, servizio, il cibo, gentilezza del personale
La spiaggia troppo piccola e scomoda
The hotel is an absolute gem - designed to act as a Greek village. Great food, 20 meters away from the sea with its own beach. Located at the city center of Hersonissos, but free from the noise of the city. Friendly staff, good drinks. The reason I give 3 stars is one: hordes of noisy English barbarians, acting like a horde of Huns. All sunbeds were blocked from 5 am, half of them empty but with towels on for the whole day long. The staff is ignoring that, even when they have the rules (visible all over the place) that towels will be removed. So, if you are a fan of drunk English hooligans and a pool full of empty but blocked sunbeds, it is a perfect location for you.
Staff not very friendly Room was dirty and in need of repair, wardrobes broken , furniture damaged , bathroom was dirty . Hotel areas were very run down, sat on a chair for breakfast and it broke under me, pool had broken steps , tabels Uneven and wood blown , food very inconsistent so ate out every day and evening on an all inclusive, alcohol was given diffent on the first night and when questioned the second night was different..tastes awful was told it was the same even though completely different brand and bottles i asked the other one and was told no . No air conditioning in communal areas and when asked to put on was told they are not allowed as it cost too much. Was a birthday surprise that was let down on expectations, they take good photos Best part was the wellbeing centre the hotel should take a leaf out of their book , wonderful staff a d clean happy envious
Returned from Silva Beach 10 days ago. Had a fantastic time. Location ideal for loads of bars restaurants & shops in easy walking distance. Food very good always something for everyone. We had a ground floor suite overlooking bottom pool & sea ideal location & spacious room. Staff always very helpful. Entertainment team although only two V-boy & Terrance lovely guys very entertaining. Kostas on the beach bar such a friendly kind guy even though some people forget the basic manners of please & thankyou he was always so welcoming, he made a lovely iced coffee. Peter the matradee at the main restaurant so welcoming & friendly sad to see he had to leave after the first week. Although the hotel states beach, disappinting that theres not much of it & getting down to sea, a climb down the rocks not accessible for those less agile. Hotel rooms & external areas could do with updating & refresher of paint said to see some areas really not very well maintened for such a lovely layout. One area in particular the restaurant viewable from pool where the facia is falling away could be quite dangerous. Decking around lower pool alot of pieces breaking away & causing trip hazard should be replaced with tiles same as upper pool. Definatly be returning to such a lovely friendly hotel & area
We liked Silva Beach. It's not great, but it is good. I wouldn’t go back. But if I did I wouldn’t get the all inclusive package except maybe breakfast. The food is good, and there is a good variety. It’s not great. The Italian restaurant was pretty bad. We didn’t try the mexi burger restaurant. So there is essentially only one restaurant. A buffet. If you like coffee with cream you are out of luck. The milk is boxed and it’s awful and there is no cream. There is no real juice. But there are a lot of options for the food. Sometimes there are long lines but usually not. If you are used to Punta cana or Cancun all inclusives you may be disappointed with the food. The drinks are really bad. The liquor is bottom shelf. You can pay extra for different alcohol. You cant get frozen blended drinks. I asked for a shot of tequila and it was Raki, a kind of awful local alcohol. I feel like that was in most of the drinks no matter what they were. The staff was nice. Not super friendly but not rude. The facility is small, which is great if you don’t like walking. The pools close at 6 pm. WHAT?! That was weird and ridiculous , as there are no lifeguards so why close so early? One day people refused to get out. The beach is tiny but the water is nice. You have to get up before 6 to guarantee a beach or pool chair. We saw one fight over chairs. Not enough chairs. This is annoying and there isn’t anything they can do about it. There are the loudest cicadas of all time in the trees around the pool. The resort is located on a busy street, and a Boardwalk, but you don’t hear the traffic. Good thing about this is there are so many options for restaurants and bars steps away from the hotel.
Hotel beautiful, location was great. Bar staff top bar was friendly. The pool lower bar gentleman was rude and at time disrespectful to new guest about all inclusive drinks. The normal chaos of 6am sun bed rush, broken, old beds but some are newer hence showed up the old ones. Restaurant had two additional ones attached Italian and tex mex both very nice and great menu choice. The main buffet restaurant had a good selection of food if not a little repetitive. My main issues was the poor food labelling to say it was hit and miss would be fair. The staff have no idea what’s in the food, labels said no nuts to only find pistachio on the base of the cake. I asked the chef who also wasn’t sure and admitted some cake bases were brought in not made at the hotel, I’d almost rather no labelling than sloppy half hearted labelling which meant twice I almost ate something dangerous to me. The two day time entertainment guys were brilliant made the holiday but as for night entertainment non existent very difficult to really say it offers anything after hours. The pools open at 10am which is so late, most are 0830 am - 0900am and then to shut at 6pm when u offer no other real entertainment is a bit daft. Would I stay again, probably as hotel setting and hotel design itself was gorgeous but I’d properly not go all inclusive .
The location of the hotel is amazing it is right next to the sea near all water activities and near the strip with loads of places to shop. However I gave three stars purely because of the food, while yes it was nice and there were options, the inconsistency of the labelling of ingredients was quite dangerous from an allergy pov, I’d be told something was nut free and it would have nuts so I had to be extremely careful- if your going to label food allergies at least make it consistent. however the restaurants connected to the hotel were amazing and glad we did book them. Entertainment at night wasn’t the best but the two workers around the pool tried to get people interested and made an effort. Overall I’d stay again quite happily as long as the food problem was addressed in some manner, but our hotel room was spacious and had an amazing balcony.
Just returned from Silva Beach and had a wonderful time. Food was delicious. Rooms a little dated but were ok. Everywhere was spotless and everyone was very welcoming. Only negatives were not enough sunbeds, you had to be up at the crack of dawn to get one and people were putting towels on and not using them all day. Also not enough seating on an evening after 9pm you couldn't get a seat around the entertainment area. We celebrated a birthday whilst we were there and had a birthday cake and bottle of bubbly left in our room which was a lovely touch. Thanks for a great holiday Silva Beach we will definitely be back.
I had a great experience in the spa, Eleni die an excellent job. Had a massage and it was very relaxing.
Eleni was a very professionell, specialized and good spirit. A visit is a must do and can’t be skipped!
We have been going to Silva Beach Hotel for a few years now we have been there eight times and going again in September we just love it there the staff are amazing. The food is amazing. I just cannot fault the place. It’s a great location. The hotel is based on a Grecian Village it be hilly in some parts. They have two lovely pools. The hotel is situated On The Beach the location is spot on Bears restaurants or within walking distance we can’t wait to go back
Excellent experience, very attentive staff, great facilities, great food and excellent massages (thank you Maria and Eleni). Looking forward to coming back.
Výborná dostupnost, blízko moře. Program byl také výborný. Dva bazény, jeden s mořskou vodou, jeden sladkovodní. Program all inclusiv dobrý. Jídlo výborné, je z čeho si vybrat, i odpolední svačinky, stále doplňováno čerstvé. Moře čisté. Kvalitní vybavenost střediska, bary, obchody, restaurace, kluby. Doporučuji.
Hotelu bych nic nevytkla.
Tolle Lage, freundliches Personal, gutes, abwechslungsreiches Essen Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung
the massage from Eleni was excelent! it helped me so much with my neck and it was really comfortable
I had a massage with Eleni, she was delightful! Was asking me about how I felt throughout and made me feel so good!
Really good massages. Very peaceful and very good technique Thankyou Eleni!
I booked a body scrub and Grecian massage, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The spa itself is very peaceful, welcoming and clean. The staff are so friendly, professional and helpful. The treatment was with Stavros, it was exceptional. I have had many treatments in the UK and teach beauty therapy. From start to finish it was perfect. The massage was one of the best I have had, perfect balance of easing muscle Tension and relaxation. My modesty was maintained very well throughout, his is something that can be overlooked. I wish I could have a regular treatment with Stavros.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The facilities were spotless, the rooms were comfortable and well maintained, and every member of the staff was kind, professional, and eager to help. The hotel offers outstanding hospitality and creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A special thank you to Xenofon, who was by far the best waiter and bartender who served us. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, making us feel at home from the very beginning. His drink recommendations were excellent, the service was impeccable, and his positive attitude made our experience truly unforgettable. I will definitely visit the hotel again, and I sincerely hope to see Xenofon again. People like him make all the difference and are one of the main reasons I would happily return. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional stay!
Zwembad, cocktails
Our group ( 4 adults and 1 child ) were in a "Silva Beach" from 02.05.2026 till 08.05.2026. One of the purposes was to celebrate two birthdays. From the staff of the hotel we felt PERFECT ATTENTION AND WISHES TO MAKE OUR REST as best as possible. From the hotel's staff it was organized, that we all ( 3 rooms ) were placed as close as possible to each other ( two rooms - together, one room less, than 1 minute to go to our rooms ). We arrived at late evening ( after 22:00 ), BUT food was prepared in our rooms. Coffe / tea / water was able to be prepared in a room too. When came date of birthday, HOTEL STAFF ( and RECEPTION, and RESTORANE service, and STAFF MANAGERS ) organized, let to the room it will be delivered VERY TASTY CAKE AND A BOTTLE OF SPARKLING WINE !!! And this was done like a surprise ( nobody from our group wasn't asking for that !!! ). I wish to say, that DURING ALL OF OUR STAY IT WAS PERFECT ATTENTION, WISH TO HELP AND REPSONSIVITY at the reception, VERY HELPFULL , KIND AND RESPONSIVES ADMINISTRATORS and RESTAURANT'S STAFF MANAGER, PERFECT WORK of staff in the restaurant ( always was possible to find a table, always enough of very tasty meals ), PERFECT BARMENS ( all drinks were perfectly made and, really, tasty ), unobtrusive but ALWAYS KEEPING AN EYE on cleanliness cleaning staff members !!!!! Additionally I wish to say, that staff is really thinking about their giests: at tha last day we had late flight ( a bus took our group at 19:00 ). The staff at reception helped us to pro-longe ( for additional money, of course, BUT THIS IS NORMAL !!! ) our stay till the evening. AND till our departure from the hotel we were not restricted to use all hotel's services. Regarding rest "under the sun" - there are two pools, near each pool it is possible to find a beach lounger. Near each place for "sun bath" there is a bar. Drinks in each bar are the same ( not like in some Turkish hotels - bar near the sea offers bear and some soft drinks only ). Enough beach loungers are near the sea beach too. The beach line is interesting: there is no "standard-wide sand-beach" near the hotel, but shallow place for "not very good swimmers" are organized. And that places are fully enough to feel the charms of the salty sea water. And for "snorkling-lowers" it is really VERY GOOD PLACE ( of course, there is not Red sea beauty, BUT FOR Mediteranean sea it is really interesting ), as there is good enough access, let to go inside the sea, and later look to the beauty of underwater life of the underwater rocks, which are changed by sandy seabed.
Beautiful hotel ♥️ We arrived on the 6th May until the 12th May 2026. We didnt arrive until midnight (a long bus drive as we were the last stop but short bus drive on the way back to the airport). On arrival we were shown to our room which we didn't find ideal. After discussing with reception we were moved the next day to a gorgeous room with pool view. The entire complex is so clean and the staff were outstanding. The weather was perfect for sunbathing during the day and exploring the surroundings during the evenings. The food was exceptional with a huge choice for the all inclusive with a wide variety of alcohol drinks. We would like to give a special shout out to Clement Herve who was part of the Good Times animation team. He went over and above to include everyone in the activities. His customer relations skills were outstanding always chatting to customers and constantly bringing high energy to our stay. Thank you Clement you really made our stay special. 10/10 Silva Beach we will definitely be back.
Arrived late at night 1/5/26. Check in was long and winded.. Had to fill out a form, the reception staff were not the quickest.. We were shown to our rooms, With it being late didn't really inspect it. Went to the pool bar, to be told the all inclusive finishes at 11pm.. Wasnt paying for a drink until sampled 1st, and so glad I didn't.. We went back to our room, Checked what we had in the fridge, which was a large bottle of water and two stale Chicken Nugget Cobs.. There is a Kettle with Two sachets of Coffee, Sugar and Two Milk Pots.. Which all wasnt replenished during our stay.. Bed was comfortable. Woke up to not a good room after all. The shower room was dirty, hair around the door stopper, shower wasnt the best. The outside wasnt great either, Broken tiles and the garden area was over grown.. As we had just arrived we didn't want to complain straight away, thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt.. As the days went by, the room only got mopped, no cleaning of the shower room, had to ask for clean towels as the maid would fold our dirty ones and put back on the rack.. Same with the bedding aswell.. The rooms are very dated but can cope with that as it gives it character but the cleanliness has to be desired. The pools are good... We always used the bottom one with the sea view. Beach is man made..its rocky.. There is a beach bar. There's activities going on with the animation team.. There's a Table Tennis court observed by the life guard, which will hide the equipment so you dont disturb her peace, sat in the corner in her bomber jacket. God forbid if anyone should need help, because shes in a blind spot. The floor around the pool is decking, in Which some panels are loose so be careful.. Maintenance work was being carried out during our stay.. No health and safety regulations are required... There are 3 bars, Lobby, Pool and Beach.. Pety who runs the Lobby bar is great, always has a smile and is very efficient.. You cant help yourself to tea, coffee or Juice as the machines are situated behind the bars, The one in the pool bar is always breaking down. There's two in the restaurant , only one was working when we was there. The Food.. I always say I never get why people moan about Food saying its repetitive. But I do now.. Omelette 3 times a day.. Followed with Pork in the hot plates and Pork being cooked on the station.. There's plenty to eat but its the same everyday..Mainly Pork.. There is a Chinese restaurant attached to the main one which is usable during meal times no booking required. There's also an Italian and Tex Mex restaurants booking is required, and is worth the visit.. All in all. The Hotel is in a great location, its just a shame its run down, it needs a good clean alot of maintenance work including the gardens.. Which all should have been done before opening up to guest...
Eleni was brilliant, she was very accommodating. It was a really relaxing experience and would definitely recommend!
Our second time at Silva beach and it was again Great! There are a lot of people we met last year and came also back Because they thinking is amazing as well. 1. The food is delicious and Every time you can choose other things. Besides, there is enough to choose 😍 2. The rooms are nice and clean. Every day there were people who cleand the room so that is Great 3. The hotel is right across the sea. Every day we come to the small bar at the sea, wich is also from the hotel, to drink Something and Watch the most Beautifull view. There are also a lot of nice places to walk to from the hotel. A lot to do close by 4. The staff like 😍 I have never seen such Nice people working at a hotel as here. They are all so kind and always making sure that you have the best time during vacation. Someome like Zoi who I see for the last 2 years as the most kind woman at the eating area downstairs. Also Hanna who is always helping and smiling during work time. And not forget xenophon who is very charming and for sure a hard worker Every day. Just look for this people When you are going to Silva, Because they will make your vacation even better! Overall this hotel is just amazing. We can’t wait to come back next year 🫶🏻🌞
We highly recommend this hotel. We’ve had an excellent stay here for a week, lovely weather in May not too hot. The hotel is very clean comfortable staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is spacious offering 2 swimming pools. A large restaurant with plenty of food choices & nice bar snack food in the daytime, some evening entertainment and the local wine is not bad at all. We even enjoyed a nice massage at the spa. Everyone at the hotel is friendly, welcoming and can’t do enough for you. I would highly recommend and we look forward to returning hopefully next year. 👍😎✈️
Most points previously covered in other reviews but to sum up:- Pros- Good food and drinks, staff very efficient, pools very clean and the hotel very kindly provided a lovely cake for our anniversary. Cons- Room dated with some poorly maintained furniture, rooms near the pool are noisy until midnight due to music/entertainment, infrastructure a little run down albeit I appreciate this is early in the season and works were underway painting etc. Overall this is a nice place but just needs a bit of upgrading however at the right price it is a solid choice.
This was our fifth stay at Silva beach in the last 2 years and it better than ever,it's the people that make this place where you want to keep coming back, all the staff are so friendly and can't do enough to help and advise ,food really yummy as usual ,the burger restaurant has expanded its menu to include Mexican food and this was excellent ,really good Fajitas!! The Italian restaurant has also expanded its menu and now includes a very fine sirloin steak option. Asian corner In the main restaurant is now included every day which gives you so much more choice. Entertainment is good and not at all pushy so you participate if you want. Hersonissos is a lovely location with a nice walks either side of hotel with lots of shops ,bars and restaurants at close hand. Silva beach is very clean and constant improvements are been undertaken. Overall couldn't fault the place which is why we come back as you know what you will get!
All-inclusive hotel with dated decor, back-maintenance, cleaning inconsistent, public areas look delepetated, sheets and towels not changed regularly, amenities not provided, replaced or filled up, fontein-cooldrinks, repetitive food. Beach facilities are minimal and beach is not cleaned daily. But good value for money, nice pools, good entertainment, some really good dishes in the restaurant and very friendly staff. Make sure that you know what room you are getting, very few real seaview rooms. Well-located to go to shops and harbour. Harbour is being renovated, so minimal dining facilities open there.
Goed eten en vriendelijk personeel
Bedden liggen niet comfortabel
I stayed at the Silva Beach hotel for a week with my dad in mid-October 2025. I had not been on holiday for 12 years, so I was looking forward to it. After a 20-minute transfer from the airport, we arrived at the hotel. We were greeted by a nice receptionist and booked in straight away. We filled in a form and paid 10 euros per day per room as we expected. We were given our keycards and then taken to our rooms by a lovely porter that carried both of our cases. Our rooms were nice and clean, with tea/coffee facilities and a mini fridge with bottled water. Complimentary toiletries were provided in the shower room, also a hair dryer to use. Pool towels were provided in the wardrobe. I had a nice terrace with a table and chairs, and it was lovely to sit out there first thing in the morning with a coffee. The layout of the hotel is beautiful, set like a Creten village. I especially loved walking along the paths around the hotel! There are two swimming pools, one in the main part of the hotel and the other close the sea. Unfortunately, I cut my leg on the first day, so I didn’t go in the pools during my stay, but I did dip my toes in. We were able to find a couple of sunbeds in the sun by the main pool bar in the afternoons, but most were taken by the pool towels and no one there. The sunbeds at the swimming pool by the seafront were all taken, however you could go to the seafront where there were sunbeds available. You can’t access the sea directly, as it is mainly rocks, however there are some lovely beaches not too far away! The food at the hotel was fantastic! I tried lots of new things and enjoyed every single meal. The restaurant staff worked very hard making sure food was topped up and cleared your plates straight away. You can help yourself to drinks including tea, coffee, water, fizzy drinks and wine at stations in the restaurant. I didn’t see any fresh juice which would have made it perfect, especially at breakfast. There are two bars at the hotel. The main bar is by the pool which had a nice seating area outside, and one by reception which has a quieter feel to it. The pool bar staff were friendly and ready to take your order. One thing that did disappoint were the cocktails. They are not made with real fruit juice, but a fizzy drinks like fizzy orange/lemonade. I am not a big drinker, but I did not like the taste of most of the drinks. Instead, I drank tea/coffee available on the AL and brought the occasional frappe from the pool bar which were delicious. I wish the frappe were included in the AL, but I didn’t mind paying 2.50 euros for one a day. The cocktails were really my only downside to the hotel. All in all, we had a fantastic holiday. So much so I have booked to come back myself towards the end of April. I had such a nice stay at Silva Beach hotel and I am keen to explore more of Hersonissos!
We have stayed at this beautiful hotel for a number of years now and love everything about it. The hotel’s Manager and Assistant Manager, Haroula Zervou, are the loveliest, most friendly and helpful people and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming and can’t do enough for you to make your stay the best it can be and we are always welcomed back like old friends. Eleni, on reception is always so helpful and friendly, as is Sissi. The food is amazing, lovely Greek food especially, but there is something for everyone. The pools are so clean and kept beautifully and so inviting. The hotel is more like a Cretan village, with pretty little pathways adorned with beautiful trees and plants all the way around. Wherever you are in the complex you only have to walk a few steps to reach the beach and promenade walk to other bars and restaurants and in the other direction, through reception to the street for the shops. The restaurant Manager, Lefteris, has been at the hotel many years and keeps the restaurant running so well and is always so welcoming and very friendly. The Pool bar and beach bar are run by Zacharius and Kostas, who again, are both super efficient and have been there many years and greet us like old friends, which is lovely. Everywhere is kept so clean at all times and the beds are very comfortable and the walk in showers are very good for anyone with mobility issues. We have been to many Greek islands and this hotel is the best and friendliest we have stayed at, we highly recommend this beautiful hotel/complex.
Arrived late in the evening staff were very friendly we had a nice ground floor room with a terrace where it was nice and quiet. Room was a bit dated but was comfortable and clean. Bathroom had a couple of issues loose toilet seat and plug in sink broken we did report but it didn’t get fixed properly but didn’t spoil our Holiday. Food was excellent a lot of choice at breakfast, Lunch and dinner with Greek specialties every evening. Pour yourself beer and wine in restaurant which was good. Tried the Al a carte restaurants Italian and burger but wasn’t impressed the Buffet restaurant was better. Sunbeds were always busy some people putting towels on beds early and not going on them until mid afternoon which I think should be policed better. But we did get sunbed most days. Nice cove at Scorpio beach for swimming to use if you don’t use there sunbeds there is no charge just walk down the path to it to the right of hotels beach pool. Staff friendly and efficient Pety in the bar and Maria front of house in restaurant always smiling. Will definitely be back.
Silva beach hotel was recommended to my sister in law and I after asking Tui for a hotel with a beach which we could access easily and have regular swims. On the first day of our holiday we walked down to find the hotel had no beach, sand yes abd loungers but then just rocks and low cliffs which made it almost impossible to enter the water, so having a swim 5 minutes down from our hotel was not possible There was a little cove at the hotel next door but u had to pay for their sunbeds and the walk down to it was dodgyy including a huge pit in the middle of the path covered with a few old planks We tried the hotel on the other side this turned out to be too rocky and slippy and the steps accessing the beach had no safety rail. After my sister in law fell off the steps and ended up in a wheelchair we found 2 other people who had fallen on the same steps trying to find a beach as they like us thought the hotel had one The ramps at the hotel are not fit for purpose They are so steep it took strong men assisting us to get her back up the ramps after leaving the restaurant which is at the bottom of a steep hill The first couple of days the porters helped us but then the reception told us they were not coming anymore so we had to rely on some very strong holiday makers to help us.Dont go there if ur in a wheelchair disabled access is hopeless. The staff were very helpful at mealtimes and cleaning our room. The bar staff were lovely The main pool got very slippy and u had to go by it to get to the bar.The railings down into the pool were loose and shook. The food was ok but didn't change much from day to day we got bored with it. The evening entertainment was ok but not much variation same people all the time. The place was very pretty but health and safety didn't exist . Would not go back again
ešana bija lieliska - visa ēšana
We stayed at the Silva Beach, as an older couple, in early October. Check in was easy although a bit of an ouch for the hotel tax and the hire of a room safe. The receptionist tried to insist on cash for the hotel tax but was out of luck as I did not have enough euros. Paid by credit card instead. We were taken to our room by a lovely guy who pointed out where things were in the grounds as we went along. He also carried our cases up to our first floor room. The rooms are perfectly adequate, very clean with a very comfortable bed. It needed a bit of slight TLC in that a lick of paint would not go amiss and the bathroom door did not close properly. Presumably this will be dealt with in the close season. No issues with hot water and the housekeeper did a great job every day. We asked for a quiet garden room and it was just that apart from the odd drunk who needed a volume control. Be aware though, the walls are very thin! Food is excellent with lots of choice and a bias towards Greek dishes which we totally enjoyed. Asian Corner made a nice change too. We tried both the bookable al a cartes and both are worth a visit. Pizza in the Italian is very impressive. Drinks are adequate, beer and wine are both palatable. Spirits are local and are weak which is understandable as they do not want people legless drunk. Some people did treat it as a challenge though. There is supposed to be a dress code in the restaurant but it is not enforced even though the Hotel matrie de is always present. It is a nice restaurant and the ladies make a real effort to dress up but the men do not bother. The way some dressed, Wetherspoons would have turned them away. Top tip, go to dinner when it first opens or you will be queuing outside. Usual sun bed warriors who think they will die if they do not get the same sunbed every day. There were sunbeds always available away from the pool but the hotel was not full. Peak season I guess would be a different story. The grounds are beautifully kept and are a pleasure to walk around. Staff are wonderful never came across a miserable one. They cannot do enough for you and the smiles brighten up your day. With a little investment and some tweaking this hotel would be excellent. I have marked it down only because of the sunbed situation and the lack of dress code enforcement. If you have rules, enforce them or get rid of them and create a fair playing field.
Just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel, the reception was very pleasant, Konnie on the desk was very polite and helpful, the porter was polite, he even came out of the hotel, crossed the road to fetch our cases. Once in the room it was spacious and spotless clean, pool towels were already on the table, and water in the fridge, air conditioning was already switched on. The hotel was very Cretian looking as we walked around the grounds which made it feel really inviting and relaxing, the pool bar was great, ZACK was brilliant and nothing troubled him to have a good conversation with him, the main buffet restaurant was amazing, if you couldn’t find anything to eat here there must be something wrong with your taste of food, the variety was excellent. Morning, noon and night.it was the last week of the hotel before shut down, we thought the quality of food might of dropped off abit with so little guests BUT NO IT DIDNT !!. The quality kept the same (perfect). The staff in the restaurant were fantastic, polite, smiling, and soon as your plate was finished with it was taken away, the place was spotless. Also the weather gods must of been looking down on us because we had hot weather all week, 24 to 30 degrees, brilliant just what us brits need before we go into our winter 🥶. We would highly recommend this Hotel it’s a beautiful place, it’s not a concrete jungle, as I said earlier it’s very Cretian, warm and welcoming. Xx
We stayed as a family with two teenagers in the last week of the season. We arrived at 11.30pm and we were escorted to our room. We were pleasantly surprised to find four meals in the fridge and bottles of water . This was very welcomed. The room was a great size and very clean. You would never have known this was the last week as the staff were very attentive and there was a lovely welcoming atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We thought the food was fabulous - lots of choice and we enjoyed the Asian corner, Prime Burger restaurant and the situation of the Italian on the main road made it feel like we’d eaten out . Both pools were spotless and well maintained and the views of the beach, sea and mountains are stunning. There are sun beds on the beach if you prefer, however it was very accessible from those by the pool. The hotel has the feel of a little tranquil village with all the cobbles, walls and separate buildings, however there was still atmosphere and music/entertainment in the evenings if you wanted. We all really enjoyed it and would all stay again. The beautiful cats sleeping on the walls also seemed to look as happy and relaxed as we felt.
Le cadre / le restaurant / calme
We recently had a holiday at the Silva Beach Hotel and would like to say how fantastic the hotel and staff were throughout our stay. The reception staff/porters gave a very warm welcome when we arrived and offered a thorough guide of what the hotel had to offer. The hotel was in a great location with public services virtually right outside the hotel if required. The room was clean and comfortable with double and single bed with a nice patio area outside overlooking the pool. We went all-inclusive and were not disappointed. The food and choice each day was fabulous and special mention to the executive chef . As a coeliac who requires to eat gluten free food the executive chef took time out everyday to go through my dietary needs. Nothing was too much trouble for him and for that I was truly grateful as that was my main worry travelling. The facilities were first class with choice of the two pools and more than enough sun beds to lounge around on with even more by the beach area. The hotel staff even left a birthday cake and lovely letter in our room which was amazingly thoughtful and really showed they care about their customers and make sure they have a great stay. Big thank you for the gesture.. Thanks again Silva Beach Hotel for making this a fantastic holiday and definitely hope to return in the near future.
My husband and I enjoyed another stay in this nice hotel . This was our 6th stay here arriving late on 30th September for 9 nights . We were in a nice room we’ve been in before as it’s got such a lovely view from our balcony . We were taken to our room by the nice porter . All the hotel staff are so pleasant and helpful and can’t do enough for the guests . Especially Pety, Sissy. zach and Maria who are so friendly . There are less sunloungers than when we started staying in this hotel but we still Managed to find some as many guests still reserve them with towels by 7am.. Great choice again with food and drinks . Not so much entertainment as we would like to see maybe bingo ? We would recommend this hotel . Thanks again for another lovely stay . We also enjoyed our night in La Strada restaurant . We also met the manager Spilios who is such a nice man .
Location very good, paths either way to walk along the sea front, bars and restaurants very close. Good choice of food for lunch and dinner and decent quality. Most of the staff really nice and helpful.
We had issues at check in and with the condition of the family annex room, they are very tired and in need of renovation. Very little of the services or the hotel match any other 4 star we’ve ever stayed in. All inclusive drinks basic. Room noisy, electric board that buzzes, leaky loud air con, fridge that rattles and buzzes all night.
We stayed for 10 nights room was OK a bit dated we were up by the main strip so bars across the road were playing loud music into the early hours but that's out of the hotels control cleaning of room wasn't great did not do a lot didn't change our sheets in 10 days other than that staff are very nice and friendly food and drink was great usually eat out a couple of time not on this holiday food was so good 2 nices pools always go a sunbed what ever time of day would stay again but would want a room away from the main road
From the get go the staff were obviously well trained and happy in their work. They interacted very well with all nationalities and bent over backwards to help. A special mention must go to Pety who was such a nice person. Zac and his compatriot (sorry can’t remember his name) were great in the outside bar, another pair of smilers! The room was respectable and clean, given what we paid. and the house service staff were lovely and should be congratulated on their hard work. For an all inclusive hotel with a large amount of people to feed the food was excellent, it was not repetitive for the most part with some staples that I’m sure some would say repetitive. They were not, they’re just things people would want every day. I had some interaction with the manager, Spilias. Equally a lovely man and an ambassador for quality and customer satisfaction. I applaud their Maitre’d, who appeared to work a 12 hour day! It must be like herding cats! Keep up the A La Carte restaurant work it’s great. Finally, a firm thank you to any staff not mentioned. We had a great stay and we would highly recommend your establishment because of the above and we have never been to a place where ALL the staff were happy.
Lovely hotel in a great location in the midst of hustle & bustle but from the moment you're through the doors at reception you're in a peaceful haven. We loved the Cretan village style of the hotel complex. Couldn't fault the staff who are friendly and ensure you have a lovely holiday. Pools (although cold) were decent sized & plenty of sun loungers. Food and drinks were great. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic spa treatments. 100% recommend. Such value for money and wow does Maria know how to treat you well. I have never felt so refreshed. Thank you!!!
I arrived around 10 pm Sissy on reception was very helpful and checkin was quick You do have to pay tourist tax on arrival for ten nights is €100 also there are safes in the room at €3 per night The porter helped me to my room and showed me where the pool and restaurant was as we walked through the beautiful pathways and how to work everything in my room A lovely cold plate of food and water was in the fridge and some fresh fruit as I arrived late The room is a good size its a typical Greek hotel room bathroom is very small but big enough for what I needed You get tea and coffee making facilities I took my own mug and just left it there as you get disposable ones in room and I like a bucket for my first cuppa Also shower gel is provided towels and beach towels too Food - All the food is buffet style and plenty of choice there is a burger restaurant and Italian included but I did not try either of these as enough choice in the main restaurant something for everyone in my opinion breakfast buffet is a mix of continental and cooked which is Greek style not English style Lunch and Dinners so much choice the salads are amazing good choice of hot and cold and a great choice of desserts Help your self to wine and beer and soft drinks in restaurant Late breakfast and snacks in pool bar too Lobby bar great service with a choice of wines spirits a few cocktails and soft drinks. Beach bar open in the day Entertainment I did not go to this but they have darts aqua aerobics and some evening entertainment The hotel is like a small Greek village with lots of little passages and so pretty My room on the ground floor with a lovely terrace overlooks the beach one side and the pool the other side and so peaceful but when you go to the front of the hotel you are on the main road with shops and restaurants and bars Rooms cleaned daily if you want it done Free WiFi which is good and can reached everywhere including the beach bar Staff work very hard in all areas but Sissy who works on reception and restaurant is lovely along with Pety in the Lobby bar both always have a smile and ask about your day
Visited for 1 week on 8/10/25 on a girls holiday.Close to airport.Hotel is in lovely setting.Room 220 was very close to main restaurant & romantic Bar & saltwater swimming pool that we used every day. The weather was beautiful during our stay.Room was basic but nice & kept clean on a daily basis. The bathroom could do with a deep clean on outside of shower etc but fine for 1 week.Shoutout to Sissy who checked us in & also allocated guests to tables in Restaurant-Sissy is a credit to Silva Beach with friendly, caring & genuine excellent customer service skills. All hotel staff were courteous. There were mainly German guests at this hotel and the entertainment offered reflected this.Speciality Burger restaurant was nice.Food choice in main restaurant was of very good choice & standard. We didn’t need to eat out at all.We did go out most evenings for a drink & there are a lot of lovely bars to visit. I would return to Silva Beach in a heartbeat. There is one big negative & that is the saving of sun beds that arnt used for most of the day resulting in guests wanting to use the pools not able to secure a sun lounger. We adopted the if u can’t beat them join them attitude which requires alarms to be set to do sunbed dash, not ideal when you work all week.
Absolutely loved it here, perfectly situated, near to airport & lots of shops & bars The hotel was so lovely like a little village which was so cute, food was excellent & lots of choice at every meal Hotel was clean & gardens were kept beautiful, beach was lovely despite not being able to walk straight into the sea, walk along the pathway & there’s steps down to a gorgeous little cove, but you will have to pay for sunbeds if you stay on the beach Fresh bottle of water left in your room daily which is a nice touch Will definitely be returning to Silva Beach, just the most perfect holiday, thank you to all of the staff for being so welcoming
Stayed at silva beach for 11 days with my partner. The location was perfect. The hotel was a little dated in places but overall a lovely place. The staff are really friendly. Sissy at front desk and Pety on the top bar. They were really lovely, always smiling and chatty. I loved both pool areas pleasant to relax around and swim in. The food got repetitive and we ended going out for food now and again but this is expected for 11 days all inclusive. Overall a lovely holiday.
Sehr freundliches Personal Große Auswahl an frischem Essen Jeden Tag eine Vielfalt an Nachtisch Schöner Strand + Meeresblick
Location - spot on. Close to the main centre. The hotel is a little tired but I felt it added to the authenticity and the feel of a Cretan village. Our room was spotless and refreshed daily. Staff were helpful, friendly and you could feel they wanted you to have the best stay. Food and drink were good although the local restaurants made a nice change on a couple of nights. We would recommend Yamas for a traditional Greek experience. We tend not to return to the same place when we holiday but would have no problem recommending Silva Beach.
Food very good staff fantastic great location bit of a shock €140 tourist tax. Beer and wine only okay. The best thing was certainly the staff ALL spot on. The Burger bar well worth a visit and the Italian okay both included in the all inclusive package. Local bars are much better beers and wine but coming from the north found them a little expensive (certainly not Spanish prices). Forgot to mention Chinese also included I think 3 nights that’s very good.
Wonderful hotel! Excellent location — we loved the design, which felt like a Greek village. We stayed in a second-floor room with a balcony and a partial sea view, and it was perfect. Most of the day we were out exploring, as we rented a car, but we spent our mornings and afternoons at the hotel. The meals were excellent — very diverse and delicious. We especially loved the Greek dishes. Even the snacks between meals were perfect — you really don’t need anything more. The alcohol included in the “all-inclusive” package was great; we particularly enjoyed the local beer and wine. The beach is simply beautiful — rocky and stunning. There are plenty of lovely spots to sit and have a drink: by the pool bar and the beach bar. We came with two teenage daughters, so we didn’t need noise or entertainment at the hotel — the peacefulness was actually a blessing. In short, everything was tasteful and well done. We had a wonderful time.
There are a few small things that felt a bit petty. For example, charging for the safe that’s already in the room — that’s a bit strange. I’ve never encountered that in any other hotel. Also, charging for weighing suitcases in the lobby… how much can they really make from that? Why not just offer these services for free? In addition — this didn’t bother us much since we arrived toward the end of the season — but the air conditioner in our room was very noisy (like a tractor). It wasn’t fixed despite our request (I assume it’s not something that can be repaired on the spot). As mentioned, we barely used it, so it didn’t really matter to us. Twice, the doors to our rooms didn’t lock properly — they literally stayed open. A technician came and fixed it, but it’s not pleasant to discover that your room door won’t close. The bathroom door also closed with difficulty (probably the wood had swollen). It didn’t bother me personally, but others might find it annoying. In other words, the hotel is a bit “old.” I personally didn’t mind, and it didn’t spoil my stay — but for someone who’s very particular, it might be an issue.
We’ve just finished a week at Silva Beach and overall had a lovely time but can’t understand the 4 and 5 star reviews personally! 🙈 It’s definitely more of a 3 star hotel. The pool by the sea front area was quite dirty (a bag and tissues all floating around the bottom), the food was generally nice if you find something you like. Some nights we didn’t really find anything for us! We ended up eating out 3/4 nights even though we were all inclusive which is a shame. The drinks again are okay. There’s a few cocktails which when done properly were quite nice. We found that the beach bar didn’t seem to always do them properly and sometimes the Pepsi tasted like cleaning products if you had a drink first thing 🙈. The room we stayed in was desperate for an update and it was quite far away from the main hotel area (annex). The sunbeds at the pool by the beach are nice and we enjoyed sitting on the day beds on the beach. Staff are really nice, room was always clean (minus the floor), excellent location there’s lots to do. Overall we had a lovely time and would definitely return to this area but unfortunately not to Silva Beach.
Stayed at Silva Beach for one week with grown up family , Lovely location,Nice comfy rooms , great pools, Good selection of food and drink . Would definatly recommend at this time of year and would stay again
Not sure if this is 4 star as more like a solid 3 star hotel Rooms basic bit clean Food - repetitive and not as much choice as I was hoping for but burger restaurant and Italian were an added bonus to break it up - both were ok! Pool are was fine and staff were excellent Location is fab and lots of restaurants, bars in immediate area Don’t think I would return as family of 3 paid £3500 for 10 days just before school broke up for summer and feel I could get better value for money
Me and my husband went to this hotel and it was the best vacation I could wish for, there are amazing views everywhere you look, the room view is so good and the staff is especially friendly and nice, though I would like for there to be more options of food that don’t include pork. The staff like I said they treat you so good and I liked on guy more than the others his name is Sifis if I remember correctly, the way he speaks gently and the way he works and helps you, you can see that he does his work from his heart and I like that very much and just because of him I would come back to this hotel (and also the views).
Silva Beach Hotel is on the main avenue of Herniossis, Crete and the hotel grounds extend to the sea. The rooms were clean and modern. There were two pools, plus space available to lay out on the beach. Also, available is a Spa with massages and other treatments - these were not included in the all inclusive part of the stay. The main crowd was European, mostly German, as can be seen oh the television which has 8 German channels versus two for English. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks plus drinks and certain cocktails are all included. You can have drinks at the cocktail bar overlooking the sea. My only minor negative was the food - it was good. But you have to remember you are in Crete which has so many restaurants with great food. Overall, Silva Beach is a great economic option, but consider going outside the grounds once in a while and experience the great cuisine of Crete.
The Massage from Antonis was the best in my live. I would come back every time. A absolut need in the vacation !!!!!!!!!!!
This hotel is amazing, it has perfect views everywhere you go, the rooms are excellent. We took a room for four people tho I would like there to be more charging ports because there wasn’t enough. One thing or to be specific one person stood out and he is called sifis and he is such a sweet person, he helped us with everything that we needed showed us the place، he was so cheerful and I liked that so much. He made my stay at this hotel much more pleasant Than it already was and I would come back here again.
Had a lovely stay with our friends. Food was lovely, very clean. Special thanks to V boy and noe for making our stay more enjoyable.
