Parking . Great position
The dinner in the pub part was extremely poor. I only ate about 20% The cleaning was suspect. I the lavatory pad there was the remains of a previous use - putting it politely!! Not impressed
Old world character
Great historic hotel on a wonderful historic High St. Sadly we only stayed 1 night and arrived late(ish), but we were flagged as 'Guests of the day' lol and got a nice small box of chocolates in our room. Bed was lovely and comfy and the room had a tranquillity about it that we loved. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were great, especially the lady on reception on Sunday morning, so friendly and engaging + helped us get a cab - we were trying to book an Uber but the lady told us they don't really cover the area, so thank you very much for helping. We'll definitely stay again. (Only giving a 9 because nothing is a 10).
That we only had 1 night.
Location was very convenient, room was clean and had all needed
2nd night option was overpriced, issue with light in room.
The location & staff
Cleanliness of the room & carpet No water in the room The TV controller did not work even after staff changed the batteries No soap by the sink No hairdryer Shower head needs descaling
A lovely pretty pub with rooms in the heart of Amersham. Parking is convenient and secure in a central attractive courtyard. Evening meal and cook breakfast were both very nice. Very generous meal portions. Bed was comfortable and room reasonably nice.
The only drawback was the bathroom was dated, flaking paint and awkward to access up and down a narrow flight of stairs from the bedroom. Anyone elderly or needing the toilet in the night would have struggled. This was potentially particular to my room so check allocation on booking if this would be an issue.
Historic “black and white” coaching inn with modern accommodations in back, bar, restaurant, and free parking. Close enough to Heathrow for a stay that’s not an airport hotel.
Great breakfast and comfortable room. We've stayed before and will stay again as it's all we want in a room close access to Heathrow journeys. Lovely town also.
All good.
Clean, staff very polite and helpful.
All good. No complaints.
The cosy pub feel
No issues

Well-appointed room, comfortable bed. Very friendly receptionist. Decent breakfast choice.
Everything, it was incredibly beautiful, historic, pristine and comfortable.
It couldn’t have been nicer !!!
The food was very good,(fish and chips). The female who greeted me was very friendly and reassuring. Nothing was too much trouble. Shower was good with plenty of power and hot. Total included breakfast. I didn't have hot food but good choice of continental
One cushion on bed had few stains on cover.
The room was very clean and spacious Helpful reception staff.
Having arranged to meet friends for an evening meal we booked in advance. Told dinner in bar rather than dining room as hotel busy with wedding Uncomfortable seats and Friday night bar customers made it noisy And difficult to chat with friends Such a shame as my friends are a bit infirm and I travelled some distance to meet up. Dining room had no one in it Required early breakfast to enable me to get on long journey Slow service as staff busy setting up fir wedding guests breakfast Overheard conversation with chef” does she want a cooked breakfast “? I was only person in dining room and had never been asked Didn’t want a cooked breakfast anyway but tea would have been good Receptionist was doing waitressing and pleasant. Just all a bit disappointing and embarrassing and just wanted to leave. So much so I left my handbag and had to contact my friends who then had to collect and forward on to me. My thanks to the receptionist for looking after it
A superb historic building with fantastic staff
Lovely old coaching house with original features, what pubs should be like.
Not much to not like really.
On site parking. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast choice was superb.
A bit of noice from ajoining rooms (the shower and WC),corridor and the car park.
The staff were all absolutely excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful, and good at their jobs.
Our accommodation. We were told on checking in, that we'd been upgraded to a suite because I'd stayed there before. This was poor. The suite was on two floors. Upstairs was a poorly furnished bedroom with a very uneven floor and only one bedside table and poor lighting. The refreshment facilities were down a very creaky staircase and cups of hot drinks had to be carried up. There was nowhere a couple could sit and enjoy them where they were made. Carrying them up the winding stairs was a big challenge and we were elderly. Also off the entrance lobby was a bathroom with the toilet. It was adequate, but there was nothing attractive and the toilet roll was just placed on the floor, there was no holder fitted. It also contained the only mirror in the suite. As we had to negotiate the very noisy stairs in the night to use the toilet, the noise and having to turn on the lighting, inevitably woke the sleeping partner each time. Each night this was 3-4x. I'm 86yrs old and this accommodation was very poor. I had requested a ground floor room if possible.
Property was lovely so much character and history
We were upgraded for my partners birthday into a suite but there was no air con luckily I brought my fan but still it was pretty unbearable so didn’t get the best nights sleep
Nice modern room with air conditioning. Great staff Lovely old pub with good outside seating
Breakfast was good apart from the toast which was thin standard sliced bread. It could have been better bread
Good breakfasts. Good sized air conditioned bedroom.
No significant failings.
Aircon didn't work, made dreadful noise. Room was not made up, ie just pulled over duvet and damp towels rolled up. Broken window lock, so could get any air on very warm eve ings.
As above
room was situated in new extention, very quiet, and relaxed, cooked breakfast was absolutely beautiful,(sausages amazing)
nothing
Lovely little option in a charming part of Old Amersham. Friendly staff, very clean and a great breakfast (vegan options always much appreciated - thankyou)
Room was a little small and it was difficult to find the TV remote (not a biggie though).
Comfy bed, good breakfast
Had a junior suite in the older party of the hotel - would have preferred a more modern room
The shower is the best I have ever used in any hotel room. It was roomy and very easy to use. We had dinner in the bar. The food was very nice but the portions were huge.

Lovely room in the hotel. Friendly staff and the restaurant food was delicious although we opted to eat in the bar. We sent compliments to the chef as it was that good. Full English breakfast was equally as good Great location on the High Street with ample free parking.
Nothing negative to report.
Lovely location with parking on site. Very oldy worldly but with all modern conveniences. Lovely well appointed room and comfy bed.
Window needed cleaning. Needs proper blackout curtains. Can’t recommend the expensive Sunday roast sadly. Gravy not separate, beans were not fresh and not enough green veg. 10% off was useful but still expensive for what was offered. No cranberry sauce to accompany chicken 🙄.
Brilliant staff and beautiful location. Dinner was excellent for a pub.
Ants in our room, coming from a desk that was full of crumbs and clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time.
Excellent position for my needs. Air conditioning, comfortable room. Good parking.
Disappointing food.
Old world charm, pleasant staff. Clean well maintained rooms. Nice atmosphere in the bar. Good food. Old Amersham charm, good choice of cafes, restaurants, pubs, independent shops.

Aircon was a bit noisy
Nice room, good food and friendly staff. Room had aur conditioning which was a bonus.

Great location and good breakfast
The bed was uncomfortable
Erinomaiset vuoteet, ystävällinen henkilökunta, siistit ja tilavat huoneet. Kaunis miljöö vanhassa kaupungissa.
The bar area was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. The Breakfast staff were very polite and efficient.
The original room we were given was beautiful and had a bath in but also had an ant problem so the reception team moved us to a different room. Unfortunately this new room was in the roof space of the building so was very small and had sloping ceiling which i kept having to duck under to get around the bed. I didn't feel this room was worth the price we had paid to stay at the property.
We were attending a funeral at the Kings Chapel and so it was perfect. Staff were helpful. Great rooms. I had booked 4 and all 4 were excellent.
The breakfast said ‘2’ poached eggs and two members of my family only received 1. Not a big negative but if something is advertised then it should be available.
Very old and interesting,beautiful
All good
Friendly & comfortable-lovely staff
Ample parking, delicious menu, comfortable and spacious room, beautiful surroundings. Also, we attended for a family funeral and your staff were more than happy to accommodate our extended family members in the lounge with coffees afterwards, for an unplanned get together in the late morning, and at the last minute. We can't thank you enough. It was much appreciated.

Location, Kings Arms is a stunning building in Amersham. Food was very good. Rooms were excellent and included air conditioning which was a huge plus point. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and a good size. Would definitely go back. Very good car parking on site.
Nothing
Great location and sufficient for our needs
Central position in Old Amersham and private Parking
No instructions for air con and room windows wouldn't open or close. Net curtains would increase privacy as room looked out on to car park.
Comfortable and friendly
Nice location, the rooms were clean.
The air conditioning made noise, so we had to turn it off. the toilet cover was broken. The chef was sick in the morning so we ate breakfast at a different hotel.
Modern clean room and bathroom, great shower and great food, friendly staff. We ate dinner there too as incredible menu, safe car park
Breakfast was lovely, room comfortable and in period building preserved.
Nothing to add
Atmospheric bar with a decent choice of pub food and real ales. Car park at the rear. Ideal for exploring historic Amersham.
Nothing we did not like.
Having stayed at Kings Arms on a few occasions, I have always found accommodation, staff and food of excellent quality.

Fantastic building and lovely location
Staff were pleasant but breakfast host wasn’t very welcoming. No greeting or explanation about breakfast service. I felt like I was putting him out. A ‘Good morning’ and a smile would have been nice. The food was lovely but the croutons on my Caesar salad and the hash brown on the breakfast tasted like they had been cooked in stale oil.
Inclusive breakfast.
Foam pillows
The location and size of the room
The room was noisy and I could overhear things outside my room, there was cobwebs and general cleanliness of the room was poor, the bedsheets were noticeably worn, the door didn't close properly flush which mean I could see out into the hallway.
Location
The bedroom was freezing
The staff ...so pleasant and helpful.
Nothing be
The room was spacious and well decorated , the bed extremely comfortable!
It was very noisy! There was no sound insulation so every movement from upstairs was heard . This was extremely annoying when someone came back very late and then got up really early.
Staff were very helpful and friendly
Bedroom had low headroom beams ( not advertised and husband 6ft!.. unfortunately the windows opened above the patio bar with very loud people chatting late at night, then bins scraped over gravel drive from 5.30am 🤦♀️ Food ok but only served in bar which was very noisy!
Great location/ breakfast great
Only card payment in restaurant and bar no cash
friendly efficient staff

Clean and friendly. Great location. Parking was good.

Great rooms actually kind of luxury rooms to be fair
Very characterful, lovely bar area,
A bit dated and tired bedroom and bathroom.
The breakfast and location perfect. Would consider going back at some point. Room lovely and amazing 15th century building and surroundings.
Only 1 gripe was early deliveries with small trolleys entering and egressing the court yard and waking you up early. The trolleys were very loud pulling up the cobbled surface. I would suggest any deliveries not to take place until after say 9. Am .
The room was amazing. Loved the free standing bath
Breakfast could have been a bit better - server didnt offer the choice of eggs like on the menu
It’s a beautiful old building I love it
I liked almost everything jus my room is advertised as over 2 floors but it isn’t
Breakfast good. Maybe a larger coffee pot.
No serious concerns
Staff very helpful. Clean. Comfortable bed. Amazing bath.
Towel rail was never on so towels didn't try. Sink too far away from edge of counter. Only half a toilet roll in the room when we arrived. Some coat hooks by the door would be good.
Beautiful surroundings, lovely old pub with character and charm.
Everything was great
Great location and the bar and restaurant was cosy
The carpets in the room were not clean. The windows were not sealed making the room cold. It had a coffee machine but no coffee pods . The cost was way over priced
The reception was so helpful and friendly. Lovely sleep and great food.
Quite cold but reception sorted that out very quickly.
Great location
Having to get the tv remote from reception was not helpful
Location is wonderful. Exactly what we wanted for a weekend retreat. Historical town with a few nice resaurants. Breakfast in the hotel was great.
We were surprised that nobody had offered to take our suitcases to the room upon arrival, especially as the stairs were a little precarious as you would expect from a 400 year old building. When we entered the room, it was very cold. The heating systmem was not working. Instead, there was a temporary mobile radiator unit in its place - but it hadn't been turned on. We set the radiator up ourselves and left to go for a walk and by the time we returned, the room was still cold. We asked for another radiator which they delivered to the room on our behalf and all was good by the time we returned from a second walk. The bathroom however remained cold and it appeared that the heating in there was not working either. We wanted to have a coffee and chat in the dining / lounge area of the hotel before going to dinner in town, but there was a 'wake' party in the room and no accommodating the hotel guests, so we went out to a cafe instead. Slightly disorganised but shedding no blame on those poor folk who had just attended a funeral.
Staff were very nice and welcoming
Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable more so the pillows than the mattress. Staff helped change the pillows for me. There was an event on downstairs in the pub so unfortunately it was very noisy.
Lovely comfy bed, well decorated room that was very clean. Breakfast was fantastic, and the beer was good.
The restaurant service was a bit slow. The waitress was great, but she seemed to struggle to get round everyone on her own.
Loved the huge bath!
Comfortable room, good facilities and pleasant staff.
The room was very hot and a little 'tired' but nothing that we couldn't resolve.
Staff were friendly and whilst accommodation was clean and beds pretty comfortable. Really good size rooms and ensuite.
Some of the decor was a little tired but did not detract from the stay. I felt the food was not value for money. We had the burgers for £18ish. Was an ok size but was dripping with fat onto a flat wooden platter.
Great location, good value, nice modern bedrooms, clean, breakfast very good
Arrived about 9pm and no food available in the hotel or nearby
beautiful location really lovely hotel

Excellent room easy parking and good breakfast .
Staff were welcoming and the room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was cooked to order.
