Good location, polite friendly staff

The food in the restaurant was excellent and great value for money.

Tv channels were sparse.

We travel to Auckland every 3 months for medical reasons. For the last 18 months Alpers Lodge has been our "go to" place to stay. This time we received a fantastic rate. Our request for a ground floor room (Room 4) was auctioned within an hour online. We didn't use the restaurant but have in the past. Very good food (with a 15% discount this week).

Can't fix stupid, like the driver of the pre SUV who parked so close to our rental car that I could only open the door about 200 mm when we needed to leave. Try climbing over the centre console a few weeks after a full knee replacement. Not the venue's fault, like I said, can't fix "stupid).

Breakfast was a little expensive as I ordered but then needed to buy orange juice which could be inclusive. Or maybe provide the buffet breakfast

The car parking was tight in the corner otherwise nice a close to the room.

The lovely welcome, the quaint gorgeous room, the ambience of the redtsurant, the vslue for money, we wrre treated so well, gorgeous meal and wine. Lovely linen and facilities in our room. Very reasonsble. We will stay every time we are in Auckland.

No wine glasses. No coffee sachets. Dirty bathroom curtain. Most properties now have Sky Tv.

Nothing, we had everything we needed

Didn't feel like a delux king. Just ordinary. Not large. No power points beside bed. No proper area for kettle. Had to put it on top of microwave which was high already, as no other power plugs. Paint pealing in bathroom.

TV not up to date, basic no ability to cast phone to for Netflix and Sky sport especially given it was All Blacks vs Ireland and we didn’t want to go to pub to watch with our younger 14 year old. Very trivial issue. Overall great place to stay!

Lovely motel. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Cost us $7 to Uber into the CBD. All for a great price too. Thank you!

We were upgraded into a family suite as the room we were given initially smelled terribly of fish. The room we were given was a good sized room, comfortable but run down. Staff were friendly and accomodating.

There was a lot of hair on the bathroom floor

Back for my second visit. So comfy and close to Newmarket and the pools that we were visiting for water polo

Location excellent - we have stayed here before. Beautiful wool blanket for the extra blanket was lovely to see.

There were no plugs next to the bed, and the bed was not that comfortable. The shower went hot and then cold a few times while I was using it.

5 minute off peak drive to City Hospital/ Starship Hospital .Quiet and very simple traditional single floor units. Restaurant meals and breakfast available onsite. Very friendly and helpful breakfast chef. Very helpful when I arrived at short notice, tired and needing an early check-in.

The staff were friendly. The room was large and had a good sized kitchenette. The location was very convienent to new market, with the mall within walking distance. Free parking onsite was very handy

The internet was a bit on the slow side, but was consistent and did not drop out.

Rooms was very clean and had everything you may need in it (fridge, microwave, jug etc, table and chairs) Location is great for Newmarket and central city. Free parking was a definite bonus.

This was a last minute booking after a long drive to Auckland for an Emergancy Vet appointment. On arrival the property looks more like an old Auckland shelter of some sort, once inside we found it pretty dated but clean and sufficient for our purposes.

My room was in an adjacent building which is older than the main accommodation. The rooms are a bit more basic, but provide the usual amenities and are comfortable for a short stay. Kitchen facilities are available, which are not in the modern block rooms. My room was a back one, so traffic noise was less obvious. The heat pump warmed the room up - my first night there was a bit chilly - and there was an extra snuggly blanket available for the bed.

My door rattled in the breeze during the first night, so I had to take care of it to avoid further disturbance. The in-house restaurant is not open on Sunday or Monday evenings. Fortunately a selection of dining is available a few minutes' walk away in Broadway, Newmarket.
