The location is excellent, with shops within easy walking distance. The location on the beachfront is second to none. The facilities at the Ramada are fantastic. Great food, with the buffet breakfast the best I have experienced anywhere. Last but not least, as always, all of the staff were amazing!

Everything. The staff are absolutely amazing, kind and helpful, the house keeping - so sweet! The rooms are very spacious and although its a big resort, its veery easy to walk around. The pool is perfect, the bar as well. We were 3 rooms and enjoyed so much...

The only thing I would say can easily get better is- coffee - the machine in the breakfast is not good... and the pool table - was missing parts :) very easy to solve...

Great hotel, great staff,great food. If someone is looking for a nice, relaxing holiday in a beautiful place, this is it ! The resort is not too big, with a nice atmosphere and an excellent location. It's not a party place, more quiet and relaxing yet, countless bars and restaurants are around, all in a short walk, also is the big market. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, recently refurbished. The bed was a bit hard for our liking but it was fixed in no time with a mattress topper. They also have a pillow menu so good sleep is guaranteed. The staff. I don't want to mention any names, from A to Z they are all nice, friendly and helpful with a big smile. This was our third time in Ramada Khao Lak, hopefully we can come back again soon 🙂

Everything about it was great. Rooms were spacious and the staff were very attentive. Right on the beach and close to a lot of restaurants. This was the third day place we stayed in Thailand and was definitely my favourite. Wasn’t over crowded so was very relaxing.

No non-dairy options for milk. Seats next to the pool bar was the only place we got bitten a lot.

The Ramada Hotel is located on the beach with guest use only sun beds. The view of the sea from the infinity pool is stunning. There's a swim up bar for drinks and the outside restaurant also faces the ocean for the perfect lunch. There's music playing at both the bar and the restaurant but neither are too loud and the atmosphere is a happy and relaxed one all round. There's an indoor cafe with seating for use of the computers should you need to work, the air con is on in there, making it very comfortable to sit in. There's also a gym with decent equipment. The rooms are spacious, a twin room comes with double beds, there's a bath and seperate shower. The rooms were clean and bright with a mini fridge and TV with access to English channels (as well as German and other languages). Pool/beach towels were replaced daily. I had a garden room with a decking area and sun loungers, but we were so close to the pool, we didn't really use them! The hotel has a couple of restaurants opposite, which we didn't visit as the main bars, restaurants and shops are a 5-10 minute walk away! There's so much on offer, you won't struggle to find places to eat or drink, and it's very cheap to eat out! There's a 7-11 down the road so we stocked the fridge up with a few drinks and snacks! We went for bed and breakfast because it was so cheap to eat out, even having lunch and drinks at the hotel was very reasonable! There's a taxi rank at the bottom of the road, two minutes walk from the hotel with a list of destinations and set prices, we went to the turtle conservation at the Navy base and the driver waited for us and brought us back again. The set prices gives you peace of mind that's you won't be ripped off but the charge is one way, so you'll pay the same on return. Bang Niang market is on a few times a week from 10am to 11pm, it's an 11 minute walk, there you'll get your cheap bags, watches, clothes, etc, the street food is lovely, but make sure you agree a price before they cook it! Some will charge a lot once you've eaten!! And if you see something you like in one stall, get a price and compare it to others, I found bartering a bit awkward but you'll get ripped off if you don't! Overall we absolutely loved it here, we booked a trip to see the elephants with a temple tour and bamboo river cruise, highly recommend that and the three temples tour! This is a lovely part of Thailand, the people are so welcoming, we could have stayed for much longer! Try to avoid rainy season if you can! The end of our second week was very wet but it doesnt usually last long. Prepare for 100% humidity and frizzy hair!!

We loved the Ramada at Khao Lak. We've been travelling to Thailand (from Australia) every year for many years now and stayed at some wonderful places. This Resort is equal to the best. The rooms were fantastic - we upgraded to a Lanai Room. Every staff member was helpful and friendly and our cleaner was exceptional. All the food was great and we loved the pool. We'll be going back!

A beautiful resort with beautiful staff. We stayed in a ground floor room which was perfect as we were could access the pool, beach and restaurant with ease. Location of the Ramada was great. Right on the beach & just a short stroll to bars, restaurants, 7eleven and ice cream stalls for the kids! Room was clean and comfortable and housekeeping was very prompt and always available if we needed anything. Amenities were great! Ping pong & pool table got used by us every day. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve ever been to, delicious selection of foods, juices & coffee. We had a massage at the spa and it was heaven! Can definitely recommend the coconut oil massage.

Great hotel, good pool and nice spacious grounds. The hotel is not too large and being off season, had no trouble finding seating around the pool area or at breakfast. We had a ground floor room which gave us direct access to the pool, but also our own sunbeds which were totally shaded and suited us perfectly. Direct access to the beach. Great sized room, comfortable bed, and and attentive staff. Would certainly recommend the hotel.

Limited options of local cuisine or bread for gluten free people at breakfast, however Sassies Beach Club were able to accommodate for other meals.

A piece of paradise where the world stood still. The hotel has an exclusive beach front, void of any noisy sports activities that mar many others. Rooms are clean, spacious, well-stocked and comfortable. They have beautiful Villas (Pool or Beach front), and even the Restaurants fronts the beach, with sunsets as your view as you unwind. Unlike many other areas, the neighborhood is quaint; most of your touristy needs are fulfilled without being overly over-developed. Impeccable service all round, and a wonderful retreat for that perfect relax-cation. Value-for-money resort not to be missed.

Enjoyed the relaxed feel of the hotel its attractive grounds. The room was spacious, clean and well designed with ample storage. For breakfast, there was so much choice of food which was nicely presented and delicious. The hotel was a short walk from local shops and a large choice of good restaurants serving lunch and dinners. The hotel staff were all really friendly and welcoming but also discreet. Plenty of sun loungers poolside and on the beach and we loved the pool itself with its pool bar.

Ramada served as a perfect place to relax and unwind after our hectic schedules, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Perfect rooms, hospitality, location...the spa facilities were good too.

Had an amazing week at ramada. Was treated so well by the staff, had an amazing on site massage, fantastic selection for breakfast, cute little touch when they turned down my room at night and left a little gift, good selection at the on-site restaurant. Can't think of any downsides to staying here. Loved the location away from the hustle and bustle of phuket.

Overall we enjoyed our stay thanks to the wonderful staff. We visited for 10 nights in wet season, so the hotel was only half occupied. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and were surprised to be allocated a room with 2 single beds. Very odd for a married couple. We struggled to sleep well in one tiny bed, as we kept thinking we would roll onto the floor. The room is set up adequately, but needs improvements. There is no where to sit, as there is only one desk chair in the room. No sofa to sit and read a book, even though there is plenty of room for one. The only other place to sit is on the bed. This means if one person is sitting on the desk chair, the other has to stand or sit on the bed. There is a table and 2 chairs on the balcony, but being monsoon season we could rarely sit outside due to the rain. There is a very small bench for a single small suitcase. Luckily we had the spare bed to put our cases on, but if you have a clam shell style bag you will not be able to open it flat on the little bench. There is also a very odd metal bar over the suitcase shelf. I hit my head on it 3 times as I bent to get something from the suitcase. We could not work out what it was for. The bathroom is very very large. It has a weird louver panel wall that does not fully close, meaning you can see and hear the person using the bathroom from the bedroom. It has a giant tub, but no bubble bath to use in it. We just ended up putting the wet towels in it. There is no towel rail to dry your towel, only 2 hooks, so you have to use wet towels as they only supply 2 towels in the room each day. The shower was impressive with plenty of hot water, good pressure and a choice of regular, or rainfall shower heads. The staff are what make this hotel. Every single staff member would smile and greet us whenever we passed. We had the breakfast buffet to ourselves most mornings and the Sassi beach club was never crowded. The staff at the restaurants were attentive and remembered our drinks orders from almost the first day. We particularly want to mention Wawa, Pop, Nine, Nook, Bow, Aui, Field and Nonny in the restaurants. They made us feel like family. King and Pong from the front desk and driveway were very helpful and also need recognition for their service. Aside from our disappointment with the room, the hotel itself is lovely. The benefit of being so small is they offer personalized service. The hotel is well located with many excellent restaurants, massage services and convenience shops all within walking distance. We would return here without hesitation, purely because of the amazing staff and excellent location.

From the moment we arrived the staff made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We also used a Luxury Escape package which was fantastic value and found the staff super accommodating and knowledgeable. Rooms were spotless and as we arrived super late to check in there was even complementary food/fruit in our room.

We really loved our stay. We couldn’t fault anything at all. Good sized rooms all of which overlook the garden and many have a view of the pool and ocean. Well appointed bathrooms. The pool is large but only about 1.3 metres deep and it was very warm in May. The ocean was a nice place for a swim. Breakfast is great with so many choices and refreshing juices. Food was delicious. We had a Luxury Escapes package which included daily lunch or dinner for our 8 night stay and there was a generous range of choices. The Spa was excellent. Thanks Tik Tok. The restaurant staff were amazing and always ready to help. Special mention to Joe, the Food and Beverage Manager, and his team including Aui, Nony and Pop. You are friendly and professional. Package purchased through luxury escapes as many before. I would class this property as 3 stars even though clean & adequate. Good spot on beach. We were treated differently as luxury escapes customers. Meals smaller, hapy hour cocktails tasted as mixed with home brew (tasted like ethanol?) & staff not even allowed to use blender as "luxury escapes package". Lack of english & extras.. pool towel station, no courtesy bus, no call taxis etc coffee shop basic, etc. Rooms nice, some lovely staff (Aui & Nony) pool area nice but resort looks tired compared to other resorts in Thailand. Other nicer resorts nearby. Staff try hard but has a tacky atmosphere.

Everything about my time at this small resort — from the facilities to the food, the hospitality and especially the caring, super-friendly staff — was first class. I had a wonderful time!

We were fortunate to spend 7 wonderful nights in a Private Pool Villa. What truly sets this resort apart is its exceptional staff. Every interaction was warm, genuine and professional and the level of hospitality made our stay unforgettable. Special thanks to Wawa, Am Okay, Pop, and the lovely young receptionist at the onsite spa — each of them is a real asset to the resort and played a big part in making our holiday so memorable. The resort itself is modern, beautifully positioned on the beachfront, and within easy walking distance of plenty of shops and restaurants. We also thoroughly enjoyed dining at Sassi’s Restaurant onsite, which was excellent throughout our stay.

Our return visit to the Ramada Khao Lak was fabulous as always, making it one of our cherished resorts in Khao Lak. The warm welcome, delicious food, excellent service, beautiful surroundings and wonderful amenities, including daily classes of yoga and stretch classes, contributed to a great stay. All staff are very friendly and accommodating and I would like to specially mention Aui, Hua, WaaWaa, Kan, Lak and Nonny. We have already booked for October.

Regarding the GM's response to Alessio from Poland's dissatisfaction with the sunbed issue. We were there and saw the whole sorry incident. The GM did manage to calm both parties down, however, we can understand how the issue occurred as the four front row beds were 'commandeered' every morning by the two parties living in the the adjacent beach front villas. They seemed to feel that they had a god given right to these beds, and were guilty themselves of not occupying all of them at any one time for well over 45mins. Albeit, leaving just one person at times to 'cover' the beds. It became a daily game for us during our stay to see who occupied said beds. And finally, there definitely was an 'arrogance' shown from said four bed hoggers. We had a great holiday by the way.

This resort is in a great location, right on the beach with shops, restaurants and markets in walking distance. Other hotels in Khao Lak are quite isolated and require transportation if you want to see something else. The rooms, pool and grounds are very well maintained. The staff is outstanding and deserve 6*! The smiles and greetings are genuine and the breakfast service and Sassi's staff members remember your choices or room number and treat you warmly and accomodating. The food offerings are very tasty and cater for Thai and Western taste. I felt truly welcome. This has been my third visit and it won't be my last!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ramada resort. Hotel was on the quiet side when we stayed but this just helped towards a relaxing atmosphere. Room was clean and a good size, pool area never crowded and sunbeds were always available, and the same for the beach which the hotel is situated directly upon. We stayed full board so used Sassi’s (the on site restaurant) very frequently. The food here was always good quality, one of our party is vegetarian and they found it a little limited towards the end/10 days into the holiday, but otherwise plentiful selection. Our children appreciated table tennis, pool and some of the other games around the hotel, and it was great to experience Songkran whilst we were there. The staff could not be more friendly and willing to help, in particular the restaurant staff and many thanks to Pop from Sassi’s who always made sure we were well looked after. The hotel is quiet on an evening but there is plenty going on in the surrounding area, but overall a perfect location for a relaxing break in Khao Lak, and very pleased we chose this for our first ever trip to Thailand. Thank you to all the staff at this resort.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. What shocked me the most was the clear difference in how guests are treated. During my stay, my towel was moved from a front-row position other guests while we were havingbreakfast, without any communication or respect. It was simply taken and placed elsewhere, as if my presence did not matter. What made the situation worse was the impression that certain guests, particularly guests from a specific country, were allowed to behave as they wished, while others were treated as second-class. This created a very uncomfortable and unfair atmosphere. Hospitality should be about respect and equal treatment for all guests, regardless of nationality. Unfortunately, this was not my experience here. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures that all guests are treated with the same level of respect in the future.

Wenn ich sehr lange suche, fällt mir nur ein, dass lange Spaziergänge am Strand nur bei Ebbe möglich sind ...oder beim Zahlen einer kleinen Gebühr für das Traversieren des Flusses.

Vanaf aankomst tot vertrek waren alle medewerkers erg betrokken. Door de relatieve kleinschaligheid herkent de staff je snel als je meerdere dagen blijft. Heel fijn. Het ontbijt was uitstekend en zee hygienisch. Alles werd goed bijgevuld. Het zwembad is heel mooi gelegen met ook nog een poolbar zelfs. En met uitzicht op zee. Wat ook heel fijn is dat is de tuin tussen de gebouwen en het zwembad, deze open ruimte geeft écht een resort gevoel. Wat ook heel fijn is dat je direct in een gezellige drukte komt met veel restaurants, winkels en massage shops. Gewoon al na 5 minuten lopen. Heerlijk en niet overdreven druk En zelfs de GM, de heer Zimmerman, loopt overal rond en maakt een praatje en zorgt dat alles goed verloopt. Ga zo door!!

We stayed here as a family with our 18-month-old son and would describe the experience as mixed overall. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. However, the hotel was not quite as suitable for families with young children as we had expected. Breakfast was okay, but quality below what we had expected for a property in this category. Overall, this is not a bad place to stay: it is a small and centrally located hotel with large, clean rooms. However, for families with young children, we would only recommend it with some reservations. In our view, the overall experience did not reflect what we would normally expect from a property listed as 5-star on Booking.com, and it felt as though there are better alternatives nearby in terms of value for money.

Location, Atmosphere, Rooms, and services were fantastic and we enjoyed our stay there. I highly recommend this hotel to whom looking for a relaxing place.
