Hotel Graal

Incredible views from the rooms, pool, restaurant and bar. The hotel is also in a great location just outside of the main Ravello square and steps from the SITA bus stop. Our room had a balcony with a small table and chairs that we enjoyed some wine on with the view. The hotel staff was very helpful in booking a transfer from the hotel to Salerno.

Nothing really. The only thing that could be improved is a bit of repainting the exterior walls near the pool, but it didn’t detract from our experience. Maybe replace the white metal bars at the pool area with a clear/glass divider for unobstructed views.

De balkons van de kamers, het restaurant en de bar hebben een magnifiek uitzicht. Ik vond het eten in het restaurant smakelijk. Het hotel bevindt zich zo'n tien minuten lopen van het centrale plein van Ravello, wat erg prettig is.

De comfort kamer heeft een jacuzzi, met daarin een douche en geen aparte inloopdouche. Het is heel ongemakkelijk voor een oudere deze douche te gebruiken. In de gewone tweepersoons kamer schijnt de zon volledig binnen, waardoor de kamer erg heet wordt. De prijzen van de kamers zijn erg hoog.

Wunderschöne Lage mit Sicht auf die Küste und in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Zentrum. Sehr freundliches, herzliches Personal, vor allem Portier, der auch mein Auto parkiert und wieder gebracht hat.

Excellent location - very short walk from central square and bus:taxi stop. Excellent sea views and quiet. Relaxing pool area with friendly bar staff.

Sometimes there was a bit of a smell of gas around the pool area in the far corner. It would have been better if the pool opened at 8am rather than 9am for those of us who like a swim before breakfast.

Location was as described. Staff were all welcoming and friendly. The pool area was a bonus especially after a day exploring.

Un véritable coup de cœur ❤️ Notre séjour à l’Hôtel Graal à Ravello a tout simplement été parfait, du début à la fin. La gentillesse et l’attention du personnel, la qualité de l’accueil, notre chambre, cette vue absolument incroyable sur la Côte Amalfitaine, les repas, l’ambiance de l’hôtel, les équipements… tout était réuni pour nous faire vivre quelques jours exceptionnels. Nous avons également énormément apprécié la disponibilité de l’équipe, jusque dans les petits détails, notamment leur aide et leur accompagnement concernant notre voiture de location. On sent ici une véritable volonté de prendre soin des clients et de rendre leur séjour le plus agréable possible. Il y a des hôtels que l’on apprécie… et puis il y a ceux que l’on quitte avec un petit pincement au cœur. Le Graal fait clairement partie de ceux-là. Un lieu magnifique, une atmosphère chaleureuse, une équipe formidable et cette sensation d’avoir trouvé une adresse où l’on se sent simplement bien. TOUT, TOUT, TOUT était parfait. Notre grand coup de cœur de ce séjour en Italie. 🇮🇹❤️ Nous reviendrons avec un immense plaisir et, surtout, nous recommandons cette adresse les yeux fermés. Merci à toute l’équipe du Graal pour ces merveilleux moments.

The location is great and the views are spectacular

Great views from the rooms, stretching across Maiori and Minori. Swimming pool, with similar infinity-pool-like views. The restaurant was amazing, and the chef made an exception for us and stayed a bit longer when we arrived late. We really, really appreciated and enjoyed it.

This was a dealbreaker, and the reason why we only gave 1 star. It's a great hotel and we would sincerely recommend it, but we had a rather disappointing experience. There was a problem with the lock on our door. Despite closing the door, it would not lock, and would leave the door open. To lock it properly, one had to slam it or close it in a very specific way. We only discovered it on the second day by accidently leaning on the door while in the corridor. When we reported it to the staff, they sent over a maintenance man but he did not manage to fix it - he only adjusted the mechanism so that the door would lock if it was closed in a specific way. The desk staff promised to inform the housekeeping team so that they would make sure our door is locked after making up the room. Unfortunately, this did not happen and on several occassions we came back after a full day out to find our day unlocked. Our belongings, credit cards, passports and other important documents were open for anyone to grab or take photos of all day long. The staff completely shrugged off our concern about potential identity theft and the seriousness of the situation. Eventually, with our stay coming to an end, we agreed that we would lock the door ourselves and put on the "do not disturb" sign on the door so that the housekeeping team don't enter our room. However, the housekeeping ignored the "do not disturb", entered the room a couple minutes after we had left, and our room remained unlocked again... The desk staff checked their entry system and there was a clear entry log, showing who and when entered our room despite the "do not disturb" door flap. The employee denied the fact that they entered our room, lying in front of everyone. Effectively, our room remained unlocked for the majority of our stay. Having your belongings secure is not a luxury - it is a very fundamental service, and they were just very blaze about it.

The noises were from the dining room located directly above the room.

The pool view and room view is amazing of the sea. Francesca one of our servers a few nights was the best and the sweetest woman we met. The entire staff was amazing and we had such a nice stay. Great food too!

L'albergo è in ottima posizione, dista dalla piazza principale 5 minuti . La vista sul golfo è spettacolare, le stanze ,la piscina, la sala colazione sono rivolte sul panorama. Colazione variegata e completa di tutto ,sia di dolce che salato. Tutto lo staff è gentilissimo e professionale. Per un pranzo o la cena si può usufruire del ristorante all'interno dello stesso albergo. la piscina è comoda, con lettini ed ombrelloni a disposizione, con un piccolo BAR .

Tutto perfetto . 2 CONSIGLI : avevamo la stanza con balcone ma completamente al sole, impossibile usufruirne, se ci fosse stato un piccolo ombrellone sarebbe stato bello. In bagno cambierei la vasca jacuzzi ormai datata con una comoda doccia. Per una persona anziana o con problemi fisici scavalcare il bordo vasca lo trovo pericoloso per eventuali scivolate...Per il resto tutto ok.

We loved location of the hotel with it's stunning panoramic view of the coast. The pool was fantastic and the highlight of our stay here- we were always able to get a sun lounger and was great to be able to order drinks and food poolside. The location of the hotel is minutes from the heart of beautiful Ravello with its many restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the buffet breakfast was excellent.

Room was a little dated as was the bathroom and we did report that our shower was spraying out of the pipe on our first night but this was not rectified. However, we could have reported this again but decided to just manage with it as wasn't a massive issue.

The location

The pool could do a lot better than to serve coffees in cheap nasty plastic cups. On hot summer days there was no affogato to get a coffee fix as well as desert. The focaccia was terrible and not worth the cost neither were the coffees so it made our stay worse.

We moved rooms as the one we hade been allocated was noisy at night and, in our view of poor quality for a Superior room. Our replacement room was significantly better. In both rooms the bath/showers need replacing.

The location was beautiful, and the staff was very kind and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade and enjoyed a room with a large terrace, which made our stay even more special. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of quality products. Thank you for your hospitality and for making our stay such a pleasant experience. We look forward to returning soon!

Our three-night stay at Hotel Graal was absolutely wonderful and one of the highlights of our honeymoon on the Amalfi Coast. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their kindness, friendliness, and willingness to help with anything we needed. Ravello is stunningly beautiful, and Hotel Graal served as the perfect home base for exploring this charming town and the surrounding area. The hotel provided a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere that allowed us to fully enjoy and appreciate the beauty of Ravello. We would especially like to recognize Antonio and Roberto at the hotel bar, as well as Francesca at the hotel restaurant, Al Ristoro del Moro. Their exceptional service, warm personalities, and genuine hospitality made our stay even more memorable. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Our dinner at Al Ristoro del Moro was outstanding, with delicious food and excellent service. Breakfast each morning was equally enjoyable, offering a great selection of fresh and flavorful options, all served by a fantastic staff who started each day with a smile. The combination of beautiful surroundings, comfortable accommodations, excellent dining, and outstanding hospitality made our stay truly special. We are grateful to the entire Hotel Graal team for helping create such wonderful memories during our honeymoon and would gladly return in the future. Highly recommended!

Hôtel très bien situé, au sud de Ravello, au calme mais à 200 mètres de la place principale, et toutes les chambres ont une vue splendide sur la côte Amalfitaine. Excellent confort, personnel avenant et très professionnel, petit-déjeuner en buffet extrêmement varié et copieux dans une belle salle avec vue également. Piscine parfaitement entretenue et avec la même vue magnifique sur la côte.

Schitterend hotel! Personeel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt, aanbod is ruim en zeer goed. Ontbijtruimte alsook restaurant en bar geeft zicht op de baai. Mooi!! Bijhorend restaurant is heel lekker en verzorgd. Personeel ook top. De kamers van de comfort kamerkeuze zijn heel ruim. Nette badkamer, groot bed, ruime kast. Frigo en koffiezet aanwezig. Groot terras. Hotel ligt op 150 meter van schiterend dorpsplein van Ravello. Bus naar Amalfi op 50 meter.

Enige minpuntje voor mij: douche is in het bad.

The location is perfect, close to the bus stop and the main square of Ravello. We booked the sea view room and it overlooks the beautiful Amalfi Coast. All staff of the hotel are lovely especially Francesca and the lady running the breakfast buffet.

Showers were uncomfortable but doable

The view was stupendous, as was the pool, and I was glad to have it open so early in the year. We loved the story of the hotel, with the prolific artwork of Bruno Canova and the design features by Filippo Alison who was a disciple of the Scottish arts and crafts master Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Canova's personal story as a prisoner in a Nazi concentration camp may not be every holidaymaker's idea of an interesting feature, but for us it made this luxury hotel also a real place and an artistic adventure. I would praise as well all the usual features that people love here: the exquisite breakfast, the fine food and wine culture of the restaurant and the charming, helpful staff.

Parts of the hotel need upgrading, specially the bathrooms. We were happy to move to a larger room with a spectacular balcony -- a privilege we could enjoy when the hotel was quiet. For me I could have done without ambient music in the bar. I can't stand it anywhere and I find it everywhere. It means I can't enjoy public spaces in hotels. In fact I didn't like super-touristy, super-expensive Ravello at all and regarded the hotel as my refuge from all that kitsch. Yes, even gardens can be kitsch when they're built out of architectural salvage and fake history! I'd happily come again to swim and read and relax but it would be difficult to avoid the packed town with its bad food and constantly crowded bus stop. Amalfi down below is even worse.

La prima stanza assegnata era minuscola, fredda e inadeguata al prezzo e alla durata del soggiorno. La poco empatica Nataly ha detto che non c’era possibilità di spostamento. Per fortuna il giorno dopo la bravissima Daniela ci ha accontentati e salvato il soggiorno.

Wow, wow, wow! Waking up to the view of the sea, Minori and Maori was awesome, uplifting and amazing. It's a view that will remain with us forever and will force you to come back again!! And the staff were awesome. And I never seen a view from a bar like the one in Hotel Graal. And we were there in October 😜

The location was perfect for walking to restaurants and sites. We loved the beautiful vista views of the sea and mountains from our room with a balcony, as well as from the breakfast room, restaurant, bar, and pool. Breakfast was very good with lots of food choices. We enjoyed two very delicious dinners at the restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The staff was responsive and efficient. We had a car valet parked and it was always retrieved promptly. The restaurant is very good, with high quality offerings professionally served. The view was stupendous!

The room was a little worn. It was small with little space to unpack and leave our luggage, so the walls were marked up. The sounds from the bar were quite loud at times on our balcony.

Great view, great staff, very friendly. Really liked my stay there. Rooms are spacious, clean.
