The location was great. So close to the lively part of town and to be able to access the beach from the lift in hotel was super convenient. The decor of hotel lobby and restaurants was so beautiful.

The service beside the pool was terrible. The staff did not assist with towel service or offering drinks etc.

You pay for what you get. The level of service, care and professionalism from all the of the staff was amazing. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels once or twice a day. The view from our room was absolutely stunning!! The breakfast buffet had a wide range of options and the terrazzo dinner was some of the best food ive eaten!

We got some laundry done and I felt it was very expensive but it was all washed and folded beautifully

Far exceeded our expectations. Lovely hotel with incredible views and walkable to everything. Staff was beyond wonderful!

We had a very good stay at Hotel Continental. The location is excellent, right in the center of Sorrento, and the hotel was comfortable, well maintained and had very good service throughout our stay. The highlight for us was definitely the hotel’s private elevator down to the lower level by the sea and port. This was incredibly convenient. We could easily go down to the beach clubs, bars and marina, and even use it with our luggage when heading to the port. In Sorrento, where there is a big difference in elevation between the town and the waterfront, this is a huge advantage and something I did not fully appreciate until we stayed there. Our room was very comfortable, the bed was excellent, and overall the staff and service were very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for anyone who wants to be centrally located while still having very easy access to the sea and the port.

We stayed here for 5 nights and had a lovely time , the hotel is a great location and within a few minutes walk to the main square and all the shops and restaurants The hotel itself is a real mix of old and new which works very well and has a an old Italian feel to it , Very nice pool and always found sunbeds without any issue Rooms very spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was very good with lots of hot and cold choice , the staff all dressed immaculately!! They have a rooftop restaurant and bar which offer beautiful views of the sunset and bay of Naples Would definitely recommend this hotel

The best place to stay in Sorrento. Location is great, staff is friendly , knowledgeable and helpful! On-site pool is great and Beach is superb! Will stay here again.

Amazing location, with a scenic view of the sea to catch the sunset right on the hotels doorstep, but also very nearby all the shops and port. The hotel also has a lift you can take down to the beach clubs and a short walk from the port

Shower a little outdated. It’s a small fixed head in the wall, could do with there being a handheld shower head too.

Our stay at Hotel Continental was full of luxury and excellent service. The hotel's location was fantastic! It was just a few minutes' walk to the Old Town, and the hotel's own elevator down to the beach was super convenient. :)

Where to start. Amazing service, including the little things like a weather forecast note for the following day, each evening, with a little chocolate. The staff were kind, remembered who you are and always, always smile and greet you. The room was amazing with a sea view, the bed comfortable and two comfortable pillows. Breakfast had a wide variety and it was a pleasure every morning to listen to the gentleman on piano while you ate. I could go on and on. It was very special for two ling distance hikers where this was our holiday post 62 days from Vienna to Rome. Thank you team Hotel Continental. Oh, and the pool was perfect.

EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT.

Pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this hotel was. The gorgeous decor as you enter, the elevator to the beach, the lemon trees by the pool, you can’t beat that. The rooftop at sunset was the best aperitivo hour in town. I will definitely be back!

Absolutely phenomenal hotel, all staff brilliant, but the rooftop team made the stay exceptional.Giovanni and his protigie Antonnio were brilliant.....can't wait to return again.

The property was perfect!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel is in an ideal location especially if it is your first time visiting Sorrento. Close to the beach and the main areas for shopping, food and drink. The pool is nice at the hotel with plenty of sun beds. The views from the rooftop are gorgeous.

The hotel is super expensive for drinks, it was like €18 for a cocktail which is too much for a small drink. During the day we usually like to have a few drinks by the pool but you couldn’t have much here with the price of everything. The room itself was not very comfortable, the bed squeaked anytime I turned over or even moved slightly. Breakfast was also quantity over quality and I did not enjoy it. Overall I think this is a good hotel but for the price they are charging for rooms per night I would expect a much higher standard

Our stay at Hotel Continental was wonderful from start to finish. The staff was incredibly attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed, even checking in regularly to see if we needed fresh towels. They added thoughtful touches like chocolates, and our room was cleaned impeccably every day. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options each morning. The location is perfect, you can easily walk to all the shops, restaurants, and attractions in just a few minutes. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sorrento

The hotel is a bit expensive for what it offers, and some of the amenities could use updating. While those were minor drawbacks, the exceptional service, spotless rooms, delicious breakfast, and unbeatable location made our stay worthwhile.

Amazing hotel with wonderful staff and an excellent breakfast. A special thank you to Giovanni for his warm hospitality and for making our rooftop and restaurant experience so memorable. My mother and I had a fantastic stay, and we’ll definitely be back!

The room was very nice, well kept and comfortable. We had a nice view from our balcony. We wnjoyes the swimming in the pool. The free breakfast was good and they had some American style choices. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The property felt like we were stepping back in time to the 1960’s. Everything was very clean and well-maintained though it looked dated.

This hotel is classic luxury. The room was beautiful, clean and provided every amenity. We loved the pool. Breakfast was wonderful and plentiful and the live piano playing was such a nice touch. The views from our terrace were incredible. We also had a very relaxing massage with reasonable prices.

Wish the pool and pool bar were open later. Closes much too early for summer heat.

The view is fantastic, loved the location walking distance to shopping and other attractions, like the ferry for Capri was close enough for us to walk over to.

The staff was great in particular Antonio and Giovanni who made our lunches memorable. Dinner at the terrazza was fantastic, I had the best linguini and clams ever.

Room was small, bathroom needed upgrading in particular the shower. Breakfast did not offer omelets or eggs to order. We have been to many other hotels in Italy where it was offered.

The hotel continental is our favorite hotel in sorrento. The management/staff, amenities and location are perfection. It’s a must stay on our amalfi trip every summer, can’t wait to come back!

Hotel Continental exceeded the description online. It is a beautiful old world hotel with artistic decor, a stunning rooftop bar and restaurant, great pool and beach access, terrific location near shops, restaurants and the heart of Sorrento. Our room was small, but with lovely decor and notable cleanliness. The breakfast room is grand and gorgeous with a delicious buffet and soothing piano music.

Size of room was small, but not a problem for only 2 days. It is what I paid for.

The hotel is in a perfect location. It has the prettiest top of the hotel views of the sunset and there is a singer there that does such a good job. Has an amazing voice. She performs on Sundays. The wait staff for breakfast is amazing and the kindest. The lady at the reservation for the restaurant upstairs has rbf but once u break through she’s kind. Remember Americans are different type of creatures. Some have southern hospitality in their blood the Italians do not have that even in a 5 star hotel so remember that when you are checking into the hotel. The warm, fuzzy feeling doesn’t exist. Make sure you communicate with the front on everything and say it couple times. The beach downstairs is not a private beach. It’s a public beach with a million children everywhere. The hotel has an agreement with company down there for no reason. U don’t get perks or comps for using downstairs. Go to whichever beach u want. First of all they force you into getting an umbrella even when u say u don’t want it. 2 chairs and umbrella is 50 euros. The rude woman at the front with the big massive Italian man tell you where to say even if u don’t want to sit there. U r forced. The hotel should understand not the best arrangement.

The room had a soaking tub with a showerhead, which made it quite difficult for my wife to get in. Now this was in every room they brought in a seat so she can get into the tub. That's the only thing that was a problem.

I absolutely love this hotel. Best location in town. Beautiful rooftop bar that looks over the coast and walking distance to everything including the station, ferry port and about a hundred shops and restaurants. You have everything you need at this hotel. I even enjoyed a massage at the spa. The staff were super friendly, the breakfast was amazing and the added piano playing and occasional singing from the breakfast staff added to the atmosphere. The pool area was great for an afternoon dip and drinks. I honestly did not want to leave after 5 nights.

Hotel was beautiful, location was great, and breakfast buffet was amazing! We had our own patio & terrace that had a view of the pool below & ocean between the buildings. Do many choices for breakfast, unbelieveable!I’ve never seen so many types of juice, 13 different varieties. Eggs, waffles, meats, cheeses, breads, fresh fruit, pasteries, 4 flavors of sorbet, champagne, & everything else offered were delicious! There is also a piano player in the background. They thought of everything for a wonderful stay

With 4 stars Hotel pool should be heated and it was noisy even at the 4th floor...Some of the reception stuff was arrogant,opposite of kitchen stuff...They were extremely generous and polite.

Stayed from 4th to 8th May. Hotel is in a quiet area in Sorrento but close to the marina, shops and restaurants. They are minutes away. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely. We had a small balcony and a view of the sea even though it was not a sea view room. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and plenty of fresh items every morning. We had fresh fruits, hot items and pastry. We looked forward to the breakfast every morning. The only complaint we had was that one morning we wanted to catch a ferry and were in a rush. We decided to take the lift that goes down to the beach from the hotel. We ran through to the tunnel and were stopped by a locked gate. We could not get through so had to get the lift back to the hotel and go to the beach another way. I suggest a small sign in the lift saying “no access to beach”. We would come again if we return to Sorrento.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the hotel. It’s a beautiful, old world hotel in a perfect location. Situated within walking distance of great restaurants and shops, it affords convenience in a quiet oasis of the city. As you walk out the front door, a beautiful view of the water engulfs you and there are many places to read and relax on the grounds. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating to any request.The breakfast is superb and the wait staff so nice.The rooms are spacious and very clean. We had a small porch which was a nice surprise.

This property was beautiful!! It is right by the water and piazza. We had a balcony . It was nice to go out and have drinks or coffee and listen to locals singing and playing music. The breakfast is spectacular! The staff was amazing and greeted you every time you came in.

O único detalhe que nos incomodou, foi que nos dias com ventos, as persianas ficam trepidando e gerando ruído a noite toda.

very nice hotel , amazing breakfast , and staff . the roof top bar is way too expensive € 9 for a 330mm bottle of beer . double room was kept tidy , but is very small for two people with luggage . shower is in the bath which can be difficult for older people to get in and out of . better with a floor shower . but apart from that I would highly recommend
