Hotel Il Pino

The staff generally were very responsive and accommodating to arrange transfers, water taxis, reservations. It’s a very intimate hotel so you will know everyone by name which makes it feel very warm and family oriented. Their restaurant is great, definitely the highlight of the restaurant. There’s a cute little italian man that will come sing with you and hug you, it was like a scene from a movie.

For the price, the rooms are very dark and unfortunately the beds are uncomfortable. They feel like a cot with a thin sheet over them. We had to leave two days early because one of us was sick and needed to get home. We asked the hotel about leaving early before we got there but we were still charged for our entire stay. It’s fine that’s their policy but it’s good for eveyone to know because previously we’ve had different, more accommodating experiences. However, I think the thing that was hardest for someone older was the music by the pool was house music and blasting to the point we could hear it all throughout the day and into the evening from inside our room. It felt like a mini rave was happening downstairs. At the pool, it was far too loud to concentrate or read your book which was unfortunate because it made the experience far less relaxing.

L'accueil et les services parfaits. Personnel très sympathique et aux petits soins, merci à Mario et Rosa, et à tout le personnel. Hôtel de petite taille et donc très familial. La chambre parfaite, la piscine agréable et une vue magnifique depuis tous les étages, et des chambres. Bus, ou location de scooter, ou taxis.... très pratiques. L'hôtel s'occupe de tout. L'établissement est très propre, et très agréable. Merci à tous, c'est une belle découverte.

Struttura di dimensioni contenute, in posizione centrale e dotata di tutto ciò che serve a chi vuole trascorrere una bella vacanza. Bella la piscina, pulita ogni giorno con cura e attenzione. A fattor comune, la pulizia è estremamente curata in ogni locale della struttura e nel giardino. Colazione ottima sia per assortimento che qualità. Il personale merita una menzione particolare: cortesia, simpatia e disponibilità caratterizzano ogni componente dello staff. Una bella squadra molto affiatata.

Unica sorpresa negativa un problema tecnico all'ascensore che non è stato risolto nei nostri cinque giorni di permanenza presso l'hotel. In ogni caso niente di particolarmente grave, che riguardava soltanto i movimenti tra due dei quattro piani dell'edificio.

The Hotel: The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The receptionists truly went above and beyond to help with any questions or requests we had. The hotel was also very clean, and every room has its own balcony. The location was another highlight—you’re just a 5–10 minute walk from the water taxi, swimming spots, beach clubs like Gavitella Beach and Torre di Grado. And of course, the breakfast buffet was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. The Location: Praiano is perfectly situated between Positano and Amalfi, making it an ideal base for exploring both towns and the surrounding beaches. It’s also much less crowded and touristy than Positano, while still offering stunning views. We loved staying here and would absolutely recommend it!

Every employee we encountered was incredibly sweet, kind, and helpful, and their hospitality truly made our stay special. The staff went above and beyond to help us throughout our visit. They recommended some amazing restaurants, helped us arrange private transfers, and even assisted us with getting taxis whenever we needed them. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they always made us feel like they genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible. One of the sweetest touches was the goodie bag they gave us filled with snacks for our journey back to Rome. It was such a thoughtful gesture and perfectly captured the warmth and generosity of everyone at Il Pino. A special mention goes to the breakfast staff, who were wonderful every morning—so kind, attentive, and welcoming. They were also the ones who thoughtfully prepared and gave us the goodie bag for our travels, which made the gesture even more meaningful. The hotel itself was immaculately clean, comfortable, and beautiful. The pool area was absolutely lovely and a wonderful place to relax after exploring the Amalfi Coast. And we have to give a special shout-out to Andréa at the pool bar! He was amazing and truly helped make our time at the hotel so much fun and enjoyable. He was friendly, welcoming, and always made our time by the pool feel extra special. His personality and wonderful service were a highlight of our stay! We cannot say enough wonderful things about the entire team at Il Pino. Their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome from beginning to end. We would highly recommend Il Pino to anyone staying in Praiano! If you are looking for a beautiful, spotless hotel with an amazing staff who will go above and beyond to make your stay memorable.

Soggiorno davvero piacevole e ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. La struttura è pulita, curata e accogliente. Un punto di forza è sicuramente lo staff: tutti molto disponibili e professionali, dalla reception fino ad Andrea, responsabile della piscina, che è stato gentilissimo e attento nei nostri confronti. Ti fanno sentire a casa e si vede che sanno come prendersi cura degli ospiti. Pulizia ottima e, nel complesso, esperienza assolutamente positiva.

Se proprio devo trovare una piccola pecca, direi il parcheggio. La struttura dispone gratuitamente di soli quattro posti auto e, quando sono occupati, bisogna affidarsi a un parcheggio vicino alla struttura , con un costo un po’ elevato. È comunque un aspetto secondario che non ha assolutamente compromesso il nostro soggiorno, che è stato davvero piacevole. Anzi, torneremo sicuramente molto volentieri!

Il Pino is an elegant, comfortable hotel with friendly, generous, extremely competent staff and delicious food: the breakfasts deserve special mention and our evening visit to the adjoining restaurant (same name though different management, I believe) was a dinner to remember, for all the right reasons - no mean feat in a part of the world stuffed with excellent eateries. The views from your balcony and the pool area are stunning; and there is a delightful spot for sea swimming in a small, public cove 400 steps below the hotel.

It's hard to think of anything to complain about.

An excellent destination, perfectly located between Positano and Amalfi. The hotel was spotless and offered every comfort we needed. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, while the pool overlooking Positano was simply breathtaking. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always willing to help with any request. A special mention goes to the restaurant, which served outstanding food and offered truly wonderful hospitality, making our stay even more memorable. (Specially the old man)!

Staff are exceptionally friendly and cannot do enough to help make your stay one to remember. The views from our balcony are breathtaking so it is worthwhile looking at rooms with the larger balconies as the bedrooms and bathroom are small. There are parking facilities limited but staff will assist to find location and park your car. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The pool is another highlight of the hotel. With panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast, it’s the perfect place to cool off, relax, and soak in the incredible scenery after a day of exploring. Every morning, the breakfast was the perfect way to start the day, with a great selection and beautiful views to enjoy while eating. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely wanted to make sure I had the best possible experience. As someone who plans every detail of my trips, I emailed the hotel several times before arriving, and they were always quick to respond with helpful advice. One piece of advice for future guests: let the hotel help you! Transportation was by far the biggest logistical challenge of my Amalfi Coast trip, and the staff arranged reliable drivers and provided excellent recommendations that made everything so much easier. They can also help organize a fantastic boat tour, making it easy to experience the coastline from the water. They really can take care of everything you need during your visit. A special thank you to Rosa at the front desk, who went above and beyond throughout my stay. Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help made a wonderful experience even better. I also loved staying in Praiano. It’s much quieter and more relaxing than Positano or Amalfi while still offering incredible views, wonderful restaurants (including the hotel’s own restaurant), charming local shops, and plenty of scenic walks…just be prepared for lots of stairs! I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Il Pino and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Gorgeous hotel in a fabulous location with lovely private balconies overlooking the bay. The standout was the staff - they were just wonderful, especially Rosa and Mario - so kind and helpful with recommendations. Praiano is a great spot away from the crowds of Positano, and easy to get around by walking or buses if needed.

Veldig fornøyd med å h valgt Priano som var mer autentisk enn nærliggende Positano og Amalfi. Mange trapper til terrassene ved havet så det egner seg best for de uten problemer med førlighet. Veldig god frokost og hyggelig personale. Fikk hjelp til alt vi trengte. Rommene var helt standard og sengen en smule hard, men det er alikevel et supert sted som også ligger flott til om man vil ta en tur oppover turstier❤️👍

Posizione spettacolare e vista mare incantevole, impreziosita da un maestoso pino che rende il panorama ancora più suggestivo. Lo staff è stato sempre gentilissimo e disponibile per qualsiasi necessità. Molto piacevole la piscina, con un rilassante angolo ombreggiato sotto il pergolato ricoperto di gelsomino in fiore. È stato inoltre un piacere scambiare alcune chiacchiere con Andrea, persona estremamente cortese e accogliente. Apprezzato anche il balconcino privato della camera, dotato di tavolino e sedie, perfetto per godersi la vista sul mare. Colazione semplice ma buona, servita da personale sempre cordiale e attento.

La camera e il bagno erano piuttosto piccoli. Inoltre, in camera era presente una sola presa di corrente, mentre una seconda si trovava nel bagno: una soluzione poco pratica, soprattutto quando si devono ricaricare più dispositivi elettronici contemporaneamente.

Wonderful staff, clean and beautiful views!

Hotel il Pino was the perfect place for us to stay for our first time in the Amalfi Coast!! Located in Praiano, it provides a getaway from the busy surrounding cities while not being too far from Positano and Amalfi Town. There are bus stops within walking distance of the hotel and a shop directly across the street to buy bus tickets. We definitely recommend using the transportation company through the hotel for transport to and from the airport. The service was seamless and reliable. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Special shoutout to Mario who helped us with anything we needed during our entire stay. We booked the triple room which consisted of one double bed and a single bed along with a balcony. The room (and the entire hotel) was very clean and well kept. The hotel restaurant was very convenient for nights that we didn't feel like going out. A small touch that impacted our stay was the breakfast gift bag we received at check out. Stocked with fruit, croissants, juice and water, this helped us during our long 7am drive to the airport.

Each evening, Mario welcomed us back with warmth and genuine kindness, making us feel right at home. Mornings were equally delightful thanks to Patricia, who always greeted us with a smile and even remembered our favorite coffee drinks. Vincenzo, Andrea and the rest of the staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive. What truly sets this hotel apart is its personalized service and welcoming atmosphere. We highly recommend this special place to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway.

I can’t say enough great things about Hotel Pino. U can’t get a better view of the ocean and Positano. The staff, especially Rosa was amazing. Without her we would have been lost. Breakfast was great. All the staff at this hotel were great. Very charming nice little sanctuary with awesome views from our room in the middle of a very busy Amalfi coast.

The only real downside for us was the location which would actually be nice if you could rely on the bus. But unfortunately even in early May riding public transportation was a nightmare. Always full and sometimes not stopping at pickup locations at all. We were forced to use taxis which were very expensive.

The hotel is clean and well located. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The staff (at reception and at breakfast) is so friendly and helpful. They really made our visit fun.

The room itself isn’t very cozy or homey. It feels impersonal. The desk is in bad condition and the shower needs a seal. There are no warm touches to make you feel at home.

The hotel is stunning, our room faced the sea and Praiano has the most beautiful sunset of the whole Amafi coast. The hotel also has a restaurant, where we had one of the best meals during our stay in the Amalfi coast and Naples. I just wished we had stayed longer. Rosa was also super helpful, she arranged the transfer for us from Sorrento and assist us with the public transport, where to go.

The view from our balcony was magnificent Directly looking at the sea with Capri in the distance and Positano up the coast. No buildings between us and the water. Bird song delightful and no traffic noise. The property was old and characterful, lovely ceramic floors and ornaments adorning alcoves. It was immaculately clean. The included breakfast was lovely with new baked delights each day. Patricia was friendly and welcoming and proudly explained the menu she had prepared. Vido was very professional cleaning up after guests departed. The tiered gardens were spacious offering sun lounges and shaded space. The pool would be super in season but not yet open in early April. Rosa at reception was efficient and very personable

Our room and bathroom were very small. Perhaps that’s true most places on Amalfi coast given the challenges of building on the steep cliffs. The hotel is on the main coastal road-easy access with luggage compared to other properties up narrow steep streets. But walking along that busy road was intimidating as is the case everywhere on the Amalfi coast.

The location was spectacular, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Το κατάλυμα ήταν εξαιρετικά προσεγμένο , πεντακάθαρο με τέλεια δωμάτια και φοβερή θέα ! Το πρωινό ήταν πλούσιο και πεντανόστιμο . Το προσωπικό ήταν εξυπηρετικότατο και το κλίμα τόσο φιλόξενο ! Ιδιαίτερα η Rosa στη ρεσεψιόν με την καθοδήγηση και τις προτάσεις της έκανε την διαμονή μας στο Praiano μαγική ! Επίσης ο κύριος στην πισίνα αλλά και οι άνθρωποι στο πρωινό όπως και οι κυρίες της καθαριότητας ήταν όλοι πρόθυμοι χαμογελαστοί και φιλικοί σαν να ήμασταν δικοί τους άνθρωποι ! Πολλά συγχαρητήρια σε ολη την ομάδα του Il Pino , το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα .

La ubicación es excepcional! Si bien están sobre la ruta Amalfitana y a penas llegamos todo el tránsito parece caótico! Pero después nos acostumbramos a manejaros sin el auto y a usar el bus, que es toda una experiencia en sì misma. Lo mejor la vista panorámica!! Es realmente única!! El personal es muy gentil, Vincenzo y especialmente Rosa, muy profesional.

El desayuno es muy básico, por las características del hotel y el precio. Podrían mejorar la variedad de panes, facturas, fiambres muy pocos, etc. Lo mejor la atención de Patricia siempre dispuesta a servir el mejor café. Las habitaciones son algo pequeñas pero muy funcionales, lástima que se escucha todo lo de la habitación de al lado. Lo mejor, el balcón con vista panorámica!! Es fantástico!!

Our room was right by the outside street with no hotel door to protect this area of the property. Seemed it could be dangerous and open to the entire public. Also, the bus stop was a little dangerous to get to.

Hotel il Pino was lovely...the views are gorgeous, the staff is very helpful and professional, and the restaurant is superb. I took the cooking class at the restaurant and must say it was at the top of the list of the many classes I've had in Italy.

Eine fantastische Unterkunft. Tolles Zimmer, super Aussicht, ein Pool. Überragendes Restaurant, man sollte aber einen Tisch reservieren. Frühstück auch fabelhaft. Der Parkplatz ist sehr klein aber das Personal kümmert sich ums einparken.

The staff are amazingly accommodating and helpful. It was the end of their season and I’m sure they were tired and in need of their own holiday yet nothing was too much trouble. The view is stunning and having a restaurant on site is a bonus. Easy walking access to many local restaurants and bars. Short bus ride to the other towns.

The bus stop to Positano is right infront of the hotel and we visited positano twice so transportation was easy. The views are absolutely insane and the restaurant at the hotel was delicious. Would highly recommend staying there and would definitely book again if we visit Praiano in the future!

Wonderful service from Patricia and Weido, missing their smiling faces and cappuccinos already. Thank you to all for making our 6 night stay perfect. Pool great with service.

This was the perfect hotel for us. Great location, rooms and beautiful views and pool. Hotel staff was so friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend!

We loved our stay! The hotel is situated right on the main Amalfi road, making getting around somewhat easier. Massive thanks to Rosa and Vincenzo for helping us make plans. Especially Guido, who picked us up after almost getting stranded in Capri late at night! The hotel went to great lengths to ensure our trip went as smooth as possible. We also enjoyed the poolside snack service in the afternoons, especially with Andrea’s goodnatured sense of humor. The breakfast saved us a lot of money and we enjoyed the service there as well. It was also so nice to have our rooms cleaned daily. The entire staff was so friendly and the whole hotel was immaculately clean. I can’t recommend this place enough!

We were so happy with everything at this hotel. The location, stunning views, pool, great breakfast, and outstanding hotel restaurant for lunch and dinner. Rooms were perfect and clean. But most of all the staff here Rosa, Vincenzo and everyone else including the owners were so kind and helpful to us. Arranging and providing transport, suggesting restaurants and helping with planned excursions and anything else at all we needed. They do treat you like friends and family and made our stay perfect. We will never forget this wonderful place and the people who make it so special - Definitely recommend!
