This is a deserved top rated hotel. Not cheap but very nice throughout. Fabulous breakfast. Excellent location.

Very convenient and quiet location.food is good.

Inconvenient on our first two days stay because of security check every time going back to hotel due to some VIP guests also stayed in the same hotel.

My partner and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff were very kind and friendly. The hotel breakfast was very rich, tasty, and varied. The gym is fantastic too! There's a swimming pool and more unique equipment like a power plate and a yoga room. The front office staff, especially Mr Vagrent Fu, helped us a lot with our luggage and checking out smoothly. We hope to be back!

It's a little bit far from a subway but very convenient to call a Didi and walkable from Chunxi Road. So not a big deal! Otherwise all great.

The best hotel in Chengdu. Super good hotel staff. Mr. Tyler Wang was extremely professional an helped me a lot. I will be back here.

What's not there to like about the Shangri-La. Mr. Vagrent Fu (Assistant Front office Manager) was excellent in his assistance to us. The breakfast was sumptuous, the spa was v good and even while the security was hyped up to accommodate the president of Ecuador who was also staying at the same time, we didn't feel inconvenienced at all. They also have an afternoon offer for 2 people at 170cny each to drink a lot wine... We celebrated a birthday and they gave us a lovely cake & champagne too We shall return to the chain, as long as we can afford it :)

Early check-ins. Our booked rooms are never available so we either get an alternative or an upgrade. This time we got an alternative room but was kids themed so we had a small tent, slide and some duck based stuff in the room! Which they then helpfully removed... Also, their bar area has an amazing selection of whiskies but only 5 of them are available by the glass:(

We had a wonderful stay, and one of the highlights was the daily buffet, which offered a great variety of dishes and particularly good choices of meat. We really enjoyed having such a wide selection available every day. Another highlight was the exceptional hospitality from the staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely willing to help. A special mention goes to the three young men on the concierge team — William, Bob, and Jason. Bob was extremely helpful in resolving an incorrect charge from a Didi taxi, and he handled the issue with great patience and professionalism. William went above and beyond when my wife needed some medicine, helping us find a local pharmacy and even arranging for the correct medication to be delivered to the hotel. Jason was always ready to assist, especially when communicating with taxi drivers and helping us find things to do and places to visit. Their kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to go the extra mile made our stay truly special. They are a real credit to the hotel, and we sincerely appreciate everything they did for us. We would be very happy to stay here again!

It’s an icily cold flawless glass tower hotel. Everyone who works there is sort of…scared? So efficient and effective they practically don’t know what they’re doing anymore. Everything was perfect, I have nothing to complain about except intangible nonsense like “soul”. Or something.

The service is superb! The staff allowed us to check in earlier as there are rooms available. Buffet breakfast is rich in varieties and the team is doing well to allocate seats for guests. Food is nice too!Walkable distance to many restaurants and food stalls. We rent the bicycle right in front of the hotel and cycled around that area. A small tent inside the room for the kids to play and they were so excited! Thanks for the arrangement of hotel and we would definitely return. Swimming pool is a bit too cold, would be good if this can be improved. The rest are all good! Very good management of the hotel! Bravo!

The service and buffet breakfast are excellent..Location is good with many restaurants nearby. We can easily ride on the bicycle and go shopping mall. Friiendly and professional front counter, speedy arrangement for breakfast well explained the strong management from the group. Will definitely come back again.

Although the hotel is quite old but the quality still maintained. Good spread of breakfast and the Shang Palace as good as ever. Location is good and staff are friendly and helpful.

The indoor swimming pool is not great as it gives you the vibe of a public swimming poo; The room is rather tired - the carpet, curtains and furniture could all do with a new look.

Wonderful breakfast with excellent variety, great location in a relatively quieter location right close to busy city centre, easy for car pick up and drop off. Hotel staff were very polite and courteous. Fitness suite extremely spacious, well equipped and easy to use.

Ordinary indoor pool - need to use google translate with some occasions to communicate. Overall is ok .

Sumptuous entrance with attentive staff. All courteous and helpful as one would expect with a 5* hotel. Hotel positioned at the heart of Chengdu with the Bridge a mere 3 minutes walk. It’s a labyrinth of a hotel and easy to get completely lost in. We stayed in room 2019 on the Horizon floor for 5 nights - spectacular views over the city and river. The bedroom was comfortable and nicely decorated. The second room was sparse and decorated without thought or imagination. Uncomfortable sofa - cheap & cheerless! The horizon lounge was pleasantly decorated and staff great but the food was poor. Breakfast was spartan, mid afternoon tea with beautiful little cakes & canapés that lacked any taste or flavour. 5.30 supper was once again pretty unexciting and without a modicum of imagination whether you’re Chinese or European. There must surely be a European to ask advice from? Shame as many in the group are so much better prepared and actually have made an effort. Gym is great, hot spa, sauna and steam room also good but the towels are really very titchy especially for the larger gentleman or lady!

On our last day in Chengdu, we dined at Shang Palace restaurant and informed the server about the 50 US dollars (340 rmb) in hotel credit that my credit card offered. This credit was valid for restaurants, cafes, and spas. However, when I reviewed my credit card statement, I discovered that the credit had not been redeemed and that I had been charged the full amount of 370 rmb. I had to contact the hotel to request a bill review, as this was an unusual experience for me. Chengdu Shangri-La, if you’re unfamiliar with the credit card benefits, I urge you to reconsider your cooperation with credit card companies.

Morgan at the front of house was brilliant and appreciate his kind words and smile in the mornings. He has only been there for a week but shows great promise and is an asset to the hotel

L'emplacement est idéal, confortable et les chambres sont spacieuses. Nous avons été accueilli par plusieurs membres du personnel des la sortie de notre véhicule et l'expérience fut fluide. L'accès au Lounge y est aussi très agréable avec une belle vue sur la ville et la nourriture y est plus que correcte.

Une tasse moisie et un personnel peu souriant. C'est tout et uniquement pour être totalement transparent.

Great location, walking distance to great food, sights, and shopping. Staff extremely professional and helpful. Facilities are spotless. Spacious rooms with all the expected amenities. Quiet, peaceful. Dining options are delicious. We ordered from the 24 hour menu when we first arrived late at night, and were so happy with the meal.

As the Diamond member of Shangri-la Group, I feel completely dismissed by this property. I will not come back.

Hotel piuttosto datato. I fiori finti presenti ovunque e i palloncini verdi nella hall danno un’atmosfera poco curata e non all’altezza della struttura. I vetri della camera erano sporchi, cosa che non permetteva di godere appieno della vista per cui abbiamo pagato. Inoltre, la camera non disponeva di finestre apribili e il bagno era sprovvisto anche di ventola. Mi aspettavo decisamente di più da Shangri-La Hotel

Great sized room and bathroom. Really nice facilities in the gym, spa and pool area. Great restaurant at the bottom of the hotel.

Silicone in the bathroom sink and shower appeared to have mould. Cracks on the shower floor. Bath tub drain plug didn’t work. For a five star hotel this was quite disappointing. Hotel is located quite far away from the main shopping areas and can be quite inconvenient to get to and from when doing a lot of shopping.

Location is great, close enough to station, local nightlife and attractions. Staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. Fantastic Breakfast.

The building was confusing to navigate, multiple entries from various sides of the building, didn’t even notice the main entrance until my 5th time entering the hotel. Too much going on, weddings, conferences and popular restaurants.

The spa shouldn't be segregated between men and women. It was a massive disappointment not to be able to go to the sauna with my partner.

I spent three nights at Shangri-La Chengdu and had a great experience since the time of my check in. Nancy Lan (兰达琼), the duty manager, was very helpful and kind. During the stay, two of the cleaning ladies, Lucy Xu (徐云琳) and Feng Fanjun (冯凡骏), were super kind. They provided wonderful service and tried to clean my room even very late in the afternoon. The breakfast and lunch were outstanding. Although constantly filled with guests, the staff were patient and professional. Thank you Shangri-La Chengdu!

Not a sound proof room, you can hear the adjacent room noise and outside it’s a bit noisy
