Reviewed Sep 6, 2026The charge to have a pet in your room was too high I have a 13 pound dog who doesn’t shed and I paid an extra $100 for her for 2 night. If I had stayed 4 nights the charge was the same. I don’t mind paying $25-$50 extra per night but felt your fee was ridiculous

The room was a little noisy at night, the ac was loud, sound from the hallways, toilets flushing from other rooms, etc. The room was clean but smelled a little musty.

Fridge had a bad odor due to previous guests. I let staff know when I checked out and then said they would take care of it. They were very apologetic and understanding.

The floor on one side of the bed was wet the first day. There was no water provided and had to be purchased, even as a Hilton member. The room service for food came quickly, but was not very good.

Reviewed Jun 25, 2026The first impression I had walking in this hotel was that I felt the desire of the owners of is to make it obvious that they are not interested in investing in it, but to be sure to take your money. I stayed in many Hilton Garden Inns and this one shows signs of what I just mentioned. 32 cedar trees all dead around the pool area, chairs in the restaurant that are covered with a fabric so they don't have to upholster them, carpets in the room and chairs with obvious stains and, to top it off, they make a campaing for the guest to return their room keys in the elevators. You will say that this is not much to write about, I will add that these are NOT regular HGI standards I expereienced. Even the meeting board is an 8.5 x 11 sheet almost invisible on the wall facing the main entrance. Even the staff agrees with us when we mention these defects... All is not dark though. I found Gemma, restaurant server, to create a nice connection and knows how to interact with patrons. The two other servers were not as pleasant however they put the plates properly on the table... The Front Desk staff was, for the most part, afable and were saluting us when passing by...but it deos not appear natural.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2026Exceptional customer service, particularly from Brittany who helped me sort out a problem. Whenever we’re visiting in the Ajax/Whitby/Oshawa area, this is our hotel of choice. The rooms are very comfortable, it’s central to everything and again, the customer service is exceptional. We would whole-heartedly recommend!

They have installed these water saver shower heads. The showers are not good now. Water pressure and flow is not acceptable. How can you charge a higher price like other hotels which have much better showers and even hand held shower heads with much better flow and pressure

The rooms aren't too sound proof, could hear a baby crying for a little bit from across the hall and when walking in the hall definitely heard some kids.

Toilet paper single ply. Have to wonder if this place is being run properly. Seems like budget concerns with all the cheap features going on! I have stayed at this hotel since it was new almost 20 years ago. Never experienced this at this hotel

Shout out to Rose at the front desk. First impressions set the scale of the experience and Rose exceeded my expectations. Nice that exterior doors can be accessed into the hotel from parking with your card key.

We are plow operators we had been working through the storm and we were checking in late at night , we first tried the homewood suites next door and received the worst customer service before even entering the building so we drove across the parking lot and I am so glad we did as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted so nicely by the employee . We got checked in quickly the employee thanked us for the work we do he was beyond helpful asking if we needed late check out or anything. Room was very clean , bed was one of the most comfortable hotel bed ive ever slept on.

The staff was very rude, the room had a smell, there was no gym, they promised tea/coffee in the lobby and there was never any there. Front desk was no help at all and had an attitude. The floors were always dirty and sticky and had a lot of stains on it, coffee stains all over the tiles. The halls and elevators were also very dirty as well.
