El de recepción Muy grosero .se te ponía al tu por tu .al los dos días me comentó la señora de recepción que ya lo habían corrido..pero ya me había dado la habitación que el quiso .y Muy altanero .si querías usar el area de la playa un consumo mínimo de 25 dólares ..si no no podías pasar ..de vdd reglas Muy limitantes. Y el personal nada amable por lo general todos .nunca tuve internet ni de mi plan ..se lo comenté al de recepción y no hizo nada. Por apoyarme..y otro huésped se quejaba de lo mismo. Hasta le dijo mejor te voy a rentar el lobby en vez de la habitación por qué solo en el lobby hay internet...no me permite subir vídeo de evidencia de las cucarachas su página. Pero tengo el vídeo de que estaban las cucarachas en la habitación

I stayed at Blue Chairs Beachfront Resort and overall it was just okay. The room was simple but comfortable. The AC worked great, the shower was nice, and it had everything I needed (no safe though). The bigger issue is the resort itself—it felt pretty rundown, and the pool water was green when I arrived. The rooftop scene is fun with music, drag shows, and dancers, but the music is loud and you’ll hear it from your room if you’re trying to sleep early. Location is a big plus—right on the beach, close to other LGBTQ+ spots, and about a 10-minute walk the downtown part of Zona Romántica. I felt safe walking around, and the beach service, drinks, and chairs were all good. Breakfast was included but very basic. The worst part was checkout—they tried to charge me for a random person who never stayed in my room. It felt like a scam and left a bad impression. Overall, I’d give it 2 stars. Great location and decent room, but the condition and checkout experience make it hard to recommend.

The hotel in general is in extremely urgent need of a makeover. Paint, decorations, finishes and furnishings look that they haven't been renovated in ages, may even from last century. There are much better options close by in a similar price range.

After 6 months they finally answered my review, saying it was all expediest fault, but I tried to call them for several weeks prior, and they pretended that no one spoke English, I wrote them three emails and they never replied to any and then when I finally called them within the two week time period they said oh no you have to call Expedia, and then Expedia said oh that's their cancellation policy of two weeks, I'm sure they'll wave it for you because you've been trying to contact them, and then Expedia call me back and says no they refuse to waive their policy.

Reception was brusk and uninterested on arrival or leaving. Going through the script. The rooms, whilst adequate and I'm being kind, do not have coffee making, fridge or safe. In general, this a 1990's hotel Which desperately needs basically gutting from the ground up. As a caveat, the elevator works fine and the rooftop bar is great. So, if you want location, do not drive and only fly/ taxi. Then yes, go for it. You will get 3 star max on s good day,

The resort is old and falling apart 🏚️. The room doors were making noise all the time 🚪😖. The floor was super dirty, like it hasn’t been properly cleaned in years 🤢. The bathroom was in really bad shape 🚿❌; no water pressure, and the toilet was basically in the same space as the shower 😑. Even the bedside tables were worn out and damaged. The WiFi didn’t work at all 📶❌. The pool area was also in poor condition and had no proper service 🏊‍♂️🚫. The staff (especially reception) were rude 😒. When I shared my concerns about what was happening in the city (which I understand is outside the hotel’s control), the response I got was “that’s not our responsibility either” in a very dismissive and disrespectful tone. Overall, this is a terrible hotel; poorly maintained and with staff that clearly don’t know how to treat guests 👎 ❌ I do NOT recommend it at all.

expected the location to be a plus but the staff just block off the chairs near the water for their friends and we ended up on the sand on a towel instead of 'blue chairs' with an umbrella. Air conditioner was nice and quiet, bed reasonable.

no amenities (no tissue, no cup, broken furniture, no safe, no drawers, one towel, no chair) We had to pile our clothes on the floor or use the one luggage rack between us to keep things in the suitcase.

Location was nice. staff were Friendly. TV sound was bad. I was not too effected as I brought my Chromecast and a Bluetooth speaker.

The room contains no amenities like a coffee maker or bar fridge. the bed was a concrete platform and a tired mattress. bathroom light over vanity was not operating. Pictures on website are very old when compared to the actual space represented.

The location was great, and the view was amazing.

The building is literally falling to pieces. My room had a missing tile that had fallen out. Paint all over the glass balcony. The balcony was dirty, the floor was dirty. There was a sad plant with nesting pidgeons on the balcony. There was paint splecks that had fallen from the ceiling.

The rooms are dirty and in a state of disrepair. The single towel in our room was stained beige/brown. The room was absolutely disgusting. The photos are not representative of the space in any way.

This is not a typical hotel. No safe in the room. Loud music until midnight every night. Maintenance seems to be a struggle. The pool was dirty and unusable for at least 2 days after the pool party. Our bathroom door was old and worn out, needed rebuilt. Towels are scarce and thread bare. Front desk struggled to get us our breakfast coupons. The restaurant was slow and not friendly service for breakfast. Elevators are questionable and slow. The drag queens are C grade at best. The drinks are weak. I would not stay here again. The kids peddling weed and cocaine on the beach and at the hotel entrance are annoying.

Oceanfront

Pigeons had crapped all over the balcony and the fabric chairs. Had to wash them in shower. Disappointing they weren’t cleaned for our arrival. And looked as though hadn’t been cleaned for months considering the amount of crap on them. Water pressure was low.

Was told to come a bit after 11:00 which we did. There were no more tables and nothing close to the stage. Food was good and plentiful. Entertainment was average...Cher was great. We don't drink and we're told we could substitute the mimosa for a non-alcoholic drink of coke or something. We were told to pay for our non alcoholic drinks, which we had to argue with them. All in all average experience to below average. I would not recommend this show.

Where to begin… The sea view was not as described. That was upsetting in the first few seconds. The Sea view is part of the experience. No phone in the room to reach the front desk. At the front desk, we constantly complained about basic needs. No chair in the room next to the desk. (got much later). The desk was appalling to see. Reflects an attitude, we don’t care. See picture below. Even regular PV visitors (other friends) to the resort were appalled at that desk. Every day, AND several times a day, complained about the lack of shower towels, hand towels, face towels, shower matts. Also, shortage of shampoo and shower gel. On the first couple of days, did not even change the pillowcases. We had to ask for two glasses. Why were they not there? And they were never cleaned. Rarely was the floor cleaned, upsetting. Shower curtain rack was weak and fell. Took a day to fix. Then suddenly the towel bar disappears! Who would take a towel bar? Only days later did they indicate a staff member did this, and yet they took no action. Several complaints and days later, had to force them to put one on again. The Wi-Fi was one of the worst ever experienced. The amount of time we spent complaining at the front desk about these and other things, took time and energy away from the trip. This was the most disheartening. And soured our view of beautiful PV. Customer service attitude was, we don’t care. We are not accountable. We listen to you. We won’t deliver. You have to complain many times, and we might do something. Every single customer service representative was beneath any standards of care. The only consistency of customer service was there’s no customer service by all. Salvador was good at pretending to help you. A smooth talker. Only with constant nagging, did he do the basic things we asked. Enrique was asked to do some basic things, several times. Nothing done, we just saw him eating at the desk. Aldo did not do anything we asked, despite indications he would be better than all the others. Others at the desk who did not do basic things we asked, were Victor and Rebecca. Which is basically the entire team for the week! The only person, heroic, if you will, who always did the things we asked, and quickly, and nudged the other staff members to do, was Francisco. But, Francisco was the Security Guard! It’s not his job. But he was genuinely empathic, believed in accountability, and customer service quality. We highly praise him! Everything about customer service starts from the executive team. Clearly, management does not have a customer service ethos. Ultimately all these are their problems. To emphasize, even regular PV visitors could not believe these often shocking experiences. Obviously we’ll never step foot here again when we go back to PV. Rarely post. Seasoned traveller (tens of thousands of miles). This was so uniquely bad, it had to be documented. Will also do a rare Google Review.

The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful. The location on the beach was great. The restaurant was decent.

Our room was dark and dingy. The floor was covered with sand even after cleaning. There was a half inch gap between the door and frame. People could see into my room if they wanted. The bathroom needed a good cleaning. The railing on the balcony was rusting through. The entire facility clearly needs maintenance. The hotel is very loud. At night there were 2 competing discos that didn’t end until early AM making sleeping difficult. There was a problem one day with the charging system. I was unable to pay for our cocktails with my credit card. I then tried the ATM to pay cash, but that didn’t work either. I had to charge the bill to my room. I got a separate credit card charge, and when I was checking out they charged me again. I showed them my credit card bill and they didn’t care. I paid the duplicate bill knowing they ripped me off. There were always hustlers in front of the hotel aggressively trying to sell drugs. Instead of being a luxury resort, I stayed in a dirty party place. It was once a nice place but has seriously gone downhill.

Blue Chairs is in a great location being beachfront in the Romantica Zone. However if you are a pool side sun seeker you will be disappointed. The pools receive limited sun due to their location. There is also a lack of poolside furniture. One issue with the beach is of course the crowd. An additional issue is the local vendors selling goods. They are like an Army they just keep coming. You will be approached repeatedly all day long. This is an older property that suffers from deferred maintenance. However it is a good value considering its location. The restaurant serves quality food at a reasonable price. If you cannot climb stairs you will spend a lot of time waiting on the elevator. If stairs are a challenge request a room on a lower floor. The rooftop bar offers entertainment including drag shows and Go Go Boys. The entertainment is quality. The wait staff can be over flirtatious in their efforts to earn tips. They were doing some improvements to the property including painting. The room I was assigned was not in the best condition. It needed painting and the sofa sleeper was soiled and stained. I would suggest you request to inspect the room prior to acceptance. The upside is location, rooftop bar, restaurant, and level of service. Down side is beach only for sun along with deferred maintenance

We had an sea view (ocean front) room . The view of the bay and beach was amazing and we could also here the sound of the waves from the room (if there was no music blasting)

It was very noisy , it was new years and we expected some noise for the 31st. However the neighbouring hotel had outdoor beach dance parties for 5 days with very loud music. Impossible to sleep or rest. They should advise of this at time of booking.

I booked a trip and had to cancel, I reached out to the hotel three times and they ignored me, so I finally called them and they said I had to call Expedia. I called Expedia and they said they had to reach out to the resort and now it was too late and the resort was keeping my $500. So be very careful with your booking.

We travel a lot in Mexico and the Caribbean and I have to say, this place has blown me away. We were welcomed with smiles and excitement and the friendliest staff. Raphael the MGR made us feel life family from the second we sat down. The beers are so cold they burn. The guacamole was hand made and fajitas were some of the best! Oh and the whole time here, not one single fly! The music is pumping some classic disco and it made it hard for me to leave to get in the water. Prices are great and it’s just a gorgeous place. We can’t wait to come back!

Customer service was some of the worst I’ve experienced. Will never recommend this place. Stole my money. Wouldn’t give me a copy of my contract which is against the law.

We reserved a beachfront penthouse - when we arrived our room was facing the back of the property, ocean no where to be seen. We were moved the next day to what we reserved. Two days without hot water!! The penthouse itself as dirty and musty If you did not take a quick shower the water would run over in the bathroom. The towels were like sandpaper. and sheets musty.. I could go on - the photos proved of the rooms must be 20 years old and reviews fake!! I have stayed in many hotels around the world - this is one of the worse. The only bright spot was the bar and service staff across the street at the bar!!

Exceptional value and great place to stay.

This is a party hotel in desperate need of a renovation. They are good about seeing that the music is over by midnight but be aware if you choose this place that you are where the action is at.

For the price, location, and safety, can’t be beat.

Me and my husband and my suegra ate at blue Chairs every night we stayed. The food was amazing. And if you're thinking of coming to the restaurant ask for Antiono. He is so amazing. He makes you feel like family.

Building is in disrepair. All pools have chips or missing tiles. During my one week stay the only pool that ANYONE used was the small rooftop pool in the bar. The staff is neither friendly nor not friendly. Bar staff is friendly. Air conditioner unit on balcony blows hot air onto the balcony making it uncomfortable to sit and enjoy the views. Beautiful location, beautiful views from ocean view rooms. Food and drinks are good. For the cost (off season), it’s an acceptable place. Next time I would spend a little more to stay in a better maintained hotel

The hotel is average, not extremely nice or modern. My room seemed clean. The hot water in the shower did not work. Even leaving it running for 5-10 minutes, the water never got warmer than room temperature. There was one night where someone was blasting music in the alley (not sure they were affiliated with the hotel) which made it very difficult to sleep. Really enjoyed the restaurant out near the beach - food was good and the service great. Also enjoyed the rooftop bar and drag show. I wish the pools were more well maintained. They did not seem inviting. The beach in front of the hotel was amazing, also with great service.

The service was absolutely out of this world! From the beachside to the dining area near the bar, Paulino took incredible care of us. Mind you, there were 10 of us on the first day and 6 of us the second time we visited. Paulino was attentive, hilarious, and made the party an absolute blast. The drinks were delicious, and the food was even better — I highly recommend the agua chile! Thank you, Blue Chairs, for being fabulous and making our friends’ trip even more memorable. Anytime I visit PV, I will always come back to Blue Chairs!

The staff is super friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. The outside of the property coud use a facelift, however, you are not staying outside. This is probably my 5th time staying at blue chairs and I will definitely stay again. They have adult shows every night on the rooftop patio so you don't have to in town for a drink and a show. The ocean views are to die for!!! For the price and those views its totally worth it!

I was extremely dissatisfied the day of our arrival and was prepared to give this property a terrible rating. After waiting several hours and changing rooms three times, we were finally given a room that was acceptable and had working air conditioning. The facility itself is in terrible shape and in bad need of upgrade. What changed my mind and made me rate this property as okay is the staff. Most of the employees are exceptional and go out of their way to provide an exceptional experience for their guests, in particular the beach, bar and restaurant staff. The housekeepers also do a good job keeping the rooms clean and stocked but again, the facility itself is rundown and in bad shape. Air conditioning doesn’t work properly, plumbing barely works, there were things broken in the room, and there were times I was not certain the elevator was going to make it safely. In conclusion, I was very disappointed in this property but we still had a good time purely because of the employees. We made the best of it but I probably would not book at this hotel again. It’s unfortunate because the location is desirable in the Zona Romantica and very close to the beach and the place has so much potential.

Unlikely what some friends staying next door thought, the rooms and roof top were clean, remodeled and well maintained. The food at the restaurant was fresh and tasty. Cannot get better for the money! Beach front, great views, awesome music at roof top bar, and great performances.
