Beautiful property Excellent service and food
nothing
Very relaxing
Beautiful venue, staff so professional & friendly. Loved the spa and pool.
Nice environment and great food
They have a real problem with flies and made sitting in the bar and restaurants quite uncomfortable
Dinner in the Catalina restaurant
given a different room to the one booked. no air conditioning
Excellent breakfast and service all around
Nothing
The lodge suite was fantastic. Unexpectedly it even had a full kitchen! The view of the 5th green from the lodge was beautiful. The breakfast buffet with ordered options was top notch. The Faldo course was beautiful and also top notch.
Nothing.
The staff were all very warm and welcoming.
Our bedroom was a bit warm, however there was a fan in the room
The location was spectacular with beautiful walks to suit all abilities. It was the perfect setting for some R&R. The room was very comfortable with plenty of lighting options v tastefully styled and decorated.
I was very unhappy I did not realise that booking through booking.com meant I was not able to use a gift voucher I had received, making my stay double what I intended to spend! Also booking.com have yet to respond to my email on the issue.
Situato in un luogo incantevole Camere molto spaziose e bagni puliti e grandi
Nn lo riteniamo un hotel 5 stelle nn è curato nei dettagli Non c’è l’aria condizionata infatti faceva molto caldo
First time staying and everything was amazing. Staff were so polite and friendly, room was amazing size, food was delicious. Looking forward to our next stay!
A truly special resort with top facilities. Staff were excellent and we felt at home and comfortable the whole time.
Nothing to dislike
Location beautiful
Dear Lough Erne Resort, I wanted to provide some honest feedback following our recent stay. I began my professional career in the luxury hotel industry in 2006 and have stayed in five-star luxury hotels throughout Ireland, the United States, and Asia. Because of that experience, I have a good understanding of the standards expected from a genuine five-star property. Unfortunately, our experience at Lough Erne fell well below those standards. In my opinion, it felt much closer to a three- or four-star hotel than a five-star luxury resort. The dining experience was particularly disappointing. Your wine list lacked any premium or fine wines, with even the bottles we saw being closed with screw caps. That was surprising for a hotel that markets itself as a five-star destination. I can only hope guests dining in your fine dining restaurant receive a significantly better wine selection, because it certainly did not reflect a luxury experience. The service in the bar restaurant was comparable to what I would expect in a café rather than a five-star hotel. We were left wondering on several occasions whether our server would even return to take our order, and communication was difficult because we could barely understand what was being said. This led to repeated misunderstandings throughout the meal. The food itself was equally disappointing. My partner ordered the Beef Bourguignon. The sauce had clearly caught or burnt during preparation, yet the beef still managed to be dry. The presentation consisted of what looked like half a pot of mashed potatoes piled onto the plate with bread on the side. It was heavy, uninspired, and felt more like a winter comfort dish than something I would expect to see served in August. It lacked any sense of seasonality, refinement, or attention to detail. The reduction had not been properly executed, and the overall dish simply did not meet the standards expected of a five-star kitchen.
Beautiful hotel on a very relaxing setting. The lake is fabulous to look out at
The service in the restaurant and bar wasn’t the best.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, set in a stunning location, and the golf course is exceptionally well maintained. We were also impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff. Everyone – from the reception team and housekeeping to the restaurant and bar staff – was friendly, welcoming, and professional, making our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely return.
We only have two suggestions for improvement. Firstly, the lack of air conditioning was quite uncomfortable at times, especially during the warmer days. Secondly, while the food in both the restaurants and the grill bar was good, we felt that there was a limited selection of fresh vegetables, salads, and fruit. We also missed dairy-free (especially lactose-free), soy-based, and gluten-free options for guests with dietary requirements or allergies. These are usually readily available in most five-star hotels, so a wider selection would make the dining experience even better.
The lakes, the comfortable room, friendly staff including Derek, Pat and Neil the doormen. The restaurant especially the fish chowder. Attended a wedding and it was very well staffed and managed. The steak was great. Breakfast was good. And the poop, sauna.

Great staff, service, ambience, top class location by the lake
Housekeeping could have been better. Inconsistencies on that front
setting
More tired then previously, spa/ swimming and hydro areas very tired, not commensurate with 5 star rating
Location and setting is outstanding . Young girl in the bar named Sarah is a real asset to the hotel so pleasant and always smiling great at her job .
Nothing
The property was just perfect, would have no complaints, everything was very well done, staff where excellent, the food in the restaurant was lovely and staff where very welcoming, definitely will be back❤️
Had nice walks around the grounds. Good breakfast and friendly staff at breakfast.
Poor customer service - initial greeting from reception staff on arrival was lack lustre, bar staff slow to take orders and quite dirty, flies all over breakfast buffet - below average for 5star hotel. Quite small and plain for a five star. Strange layout with doorways between bar and seating area blocked off. Doors to sit outside only opened one way so you couldn’t reenter bar area if you took your drink outside. Room service food quality poor. Lack of mirrors in suite. One mirror for a junior suite with lots of empty wall space. This feels like a decent four star but nowhere near a five star hotel experience or level of detail.
The staff were very friendly, from being greeted at the front door to reception and beyond to all staff. Even the cleaners, said hello. Lovely to have music in the evenings. Fine dining in the Catalina restaurant was excellent and I would thoroughly recommend. Our room was very comfortable and spacious.
The service in the Blaney bar was not good. From ordering a drink until you received it was at least 15mins and then you would have to chase it up. There was plenty of staff but it appeared to be the system they were operating. Staff again very pleasant but delivery to customer is something that definitely needs to be revisited.
It’s really hard to fault this place, the atmosphere is so relaxed, everyone there respects that this is a break away from all the noise, staff are amazing, food and drinks amazing and the rooms are lovely!
I would say for it being a 5 star spa resort, I did expect a little more from the spa facilities, definitely the hot tub needs upgraded, very outdated and small but the pool, sauna and stream room is lovely! Small issue
Breakfast was very nice. Unfortunately I need knee replacement and first morning staff member said I could order full irish and it would be brought to me from kitchen.. 2nd morning when I ordered tea and toast and the full itish the staff member told me it buffet this morning. Concierge staff very helpful .
See above. Also no teaspoons on any cups 2nd day.
I booked this for my daughter and partner as a birthday treat.. They lived it. Chocolates were left in their room.... It's the little things!! They had a lovely time and great reports. They said the room was gorgeous and the staff were so friendly.
The scenery was outstanding you can see why the hotel is so extremely popular. The food in the bar was delicious and was only bettered by the service.
I honestly can say there was nothing negative about my staff.
Staff are very friendly. Rooms are lovely!
Nothing.
The property, the proportions of the rooms and the location of the hotel are all fantastic. The staff are very friendly and professional.
Everything was excellent.
Room was excellent
I paid 40 pounds for breakfast and it was stone cold and was not impressed, it really took the shine off a nice stay
Ubicación
Para ser un 5 estrellas el momento de check in fue malo. Nadie se ofreció a llevar equipaje a habitación.
The staff were incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful, our rooms were super comfortable. The restaurants on site had plenty of options and the food was delicious. Particularly loved the library, very tranquil. The surrounding countryside and the golf course was lovely.
Everything was wonderful
Breakfast was the only small letdown.
quality was not great
We stayed for my sons 30th and we had a wonderful time. Staff were very accommodating. The hotel was stunning and the grounds were beautiful. The breakfast was excellent and the meal the Lough Grill was fantastic. Loved everything about the stay, very relaxing.
Surroundings, decor, food, beds, spa facilities, service from Kian in Blaney bar and welcome each time from David at front door all exceptional
If you're going to give folk bottled water, choose bottles than someone without super human strength can open. At wedding on Saturday bar gad only opened in Ross suite daughter ordered an espresso martini and bar maid actually rolled her eyes at her. Men's toilets had option of shampoo ot body lotion to wash hands with. Same empty cigarette packet sat on a table outside spa for 2 days, enchanted trail so overgrown and rusted, couldn'tsee littlefairy houses...not massive things in isolation but given cost of weekend these little details just pulled it down a little....also disappointing we had a car park view staying 2 nights when others just staying the one got a lough view
The setting is incredible. It was very nice to be able to walk around the resort and enjoy the space.
Although being in a lodge room was nice and quiet with lovely views, it made the trek to breakfast uninviting, especially in the rain.
It’s a lovely old style luxury, very peaceful , well kept , the staff were the best part.
I think it’s for an older crowd. At the bar in the evening my wife and I were prob the youngest ones there by at least 10 years. It was mainly pensioners.
View from the room was amazing, lake with swans and rolling forestry fading into the mists in the distance
Very small feedback - On previous afternoon visits for lunch I wondered if they could have some music in the background in the bar area - would add to the atmosphere and allows for better conversation - think AI could provide any type of music now without a licence
Beautiful setting
The food was very average
Superb relaxing resort, something fir everyone
Reception staff need to improve their customer service and welcome skills
Beautiful location.
Nothing
Staff were so helpful and friendly. Resort is kept extremely clean and the facilities are fantastic.
Great hotel, great staff
Pool quite small
The Hotel is very nice & in a beautiful tranquil setting by Lough Erne with views of the Lough & the 18hole Championship Course
I didn't like the music in the bar, I think something more classical would have suited the atmosphere of the hotel better. It was more like pub music.
I thought the breakfast was exceptional we throughly enjoyed.
That I couldn’t stay long enough.
Food, hotel room, location
Spa is quite small
Everything 🤩🤩🤩
The resort, the staff, the food all amazing!
The spa was great, friendly staff! Food was lovely and accommodating to food needs

Sehr schöne Lage, sehr freundliches Personal und sehr gutes Essen.
Das Interieur und die sanitären Anlagen entsprechen nicht dem gehobenen Standard
All food elements were excellent. Service was superb with friendly staff.
I had a Stay Anywhere in Ireland gift card and could not use as deemed not in Ireland. Could have been explained better at the reception desk for reasons not to use
The location was great, the facilities fantastic, staff really helpful, food was top top quality
The heat in our room was off had to report to reception to get it sorted but it didnt heat up proper and it was an uncomfortable coldness in the room all night and the next morning
The location was splendid. The cleanliness was very good.
The staff at the bar were very not accommodating and fleet not very welcomed. I sat at the bar and no one come to take my order. I went to the counter to order and they didn’t treat us properly.
Absolutely stunning views and the staff were all so friendly. The food in the blaney bar was so good! I had the chowder and my partner inhaled his burger. The bar and grill was also very tasty we went for the sharing steak and the crème brûlée for dessert, best dessert we’ve ever had! Keep up the good work team!! We look forward to another stay!
The greens on the golf course were not good. Just about playable.
Settings where fabulous on a calm night or morning if your into photography this is the place to be before sunrise or sunset. the staff were all fantastic and attentive.
Just the spa its a little bit dated but its not a deal breaker.
Beautiful hotel & stunning views . Thanks Sarah for checking us in very pleasant as was lady at the spa/ pool . Our room was a lough view room beautiful views very spacious , clean & comfortable . Breakfast was beautiful ( we ordered ours to room ) . We didn’t try the bar but won’t hesitate to return to lough erne resort . Thank you for our beautiful stay
Nothing whatsoever to dislike about this property
