Stilwell Hotel

The location, the room itself, and the courtyard are all excellent.

They should go the extra mile and greet return guests, provide turndown service, etc. They charge what a high-end hotel would charge without providing the same amenities.

Clean and new

Rooms was pretty small

Everything!! Thank you. Wonderful visit.

The hotel is absolutely lovely! Such a peaceful vibe, gorgeous property, lots of exterior seating areas. Our room was very pretty, lovely decor, comforts us bed & pillows!

Parking is tight

Wonderful and modern hotel

Nothing. Converted motel, stark, rooms were very small. We had booked 3 days, but ended up staying just one night. The noise was awful. Booked a bunch of yelling children running up and down stairs. All night there was noise. I travelaround the world, have stayed in many top cities, and this experience has to be one of the worst ones. Staff was not even answering the phone, another company did, because no one was in the office. The price was over the top, and I’ve stayed in Carmel many times. Regrouped, and left to our old digs, much happier. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely, modern, comfortable in the heart of Carmel. Delicious European-style breakfast. Dog friendly! Fabulous!

It's pricey, but on par for the area.

The rooms were small

Contemporary design, great location, friendly staff , quiet, pet friendly

Room was nice but not outstanding or worth the price.

It is really beautifully finished with exceptional attention to detail

Loved it!!!

It’s gorgeous! very high end! Didn’t miss a detail! we come back each yr and so happy each time!

The Stilwell is a new hotel that has been thoughtfully built and furnished to a very high standard. The rooms are lovely with spacious bathrooms and fabulous showers. Attention to detail such as magnifying bathroom mirror. Low lights that are motion sensitive when you get out of bed or go into the bathroom. Lots of lovely white towels and face cloths and tissues that are not always available even in 5 star hotels. The staff are brilliant and greeted us with a glass of champagne. There is plenty of parking. Although there is not a restaurant they offer evening pizzas and snacks served in a lovely courtyard with lots of seating and outdoor gas heaters.

Súper cómodo hermoso

יחס ממש חם מיקום מעולה

Conforto do quarto, ar condicionado, serviço. Fizemos uma reserva de última hora, tarde da noite, apoia descobrirmos que o hotel que originalmente reservamos nao tinha ar condicionado. Apesar de chegarmos tarde da noite, fomos muito bem recebidos e tratados com atenção.

Great location. Lovely and comfortable rooms. Very relaxing environment. Evening cocktail area is really nice.

The rooms facing the street are a little noisy.

Beliggenhet

The location is great because you can walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The motel was recently renovated.

We booked our room 6 months in advance for our anniversary get away weekend. When we arrived, we watched the two couples check in ahead of us receive welcome glasses of champagne and given water bottles for their rooms. We got neither. Our first room was above a restaurant and very noisy. We asked for a different room, and they said there were none. The second day the power in our room kept going out so we got a different room. No apologies. They told us we needed to move within 20 minutes because they needed to clean the room before check-in! Parking can be an issue because of limited spaces. It is a refurbished motel that is way overpriced. There are many better options in Carmel.

Loved the design, breakfast

Room was on the small side but great

2 night stay. Very comfortable and with excellent parking. Very well located for restaurants and shops. I really liked it and Carmel!

Café da manhã

Very cute, nice decoration, comfortable bed, great location, on sight parking. We did have a bigger room. The regular room might be small but still nice.

The black out shades did not black out all the light

Location-walk to everything

HVAC controls unnecessarily complicated.

Excellent service, nice room that was very clean. Great bathroom. Great location

Great location, modern with well thought out amenities, great breakfast, friendly staff.

Felt it was a little pricey for our room with a view of a parking lot and a parked car just outside our window!

Very modern and comfortable

The outside area was very enjoyable to sit around and relax. Also the breakfast was excellent !

Nothing

Too loud around the room

Elegant and clean. Fernando at reception was incredibly helpful. Dede and Angel with the restaurant were personable and wonderful. The breakfast was unbelievable. Very impressed with Stillwell. I would definitely return.

Loved it all

Minimalist decoration, friendly staff, and very pet-friendly atmosphere. A lovely place to relax and enjoy a drink.

A bit pricey.

It had very nice design, great location and it was clean and pleasant.

It's very nicely designed hotel, but .. in this price range, I'd expect there is a spa and/or gym. I also struggled with getting the room dark enough for sleeping because outside from the bathroom window there's a green exit sign and bathroom door is made out of class .. the room wasn't very dark because of this window.

Great location, modern clean well appointed room, excellent healthy breakfast choices.

The location was excellent; close to everything we wanted to see. The design of the hotel and especially the outdoor common areas were exceptional.

Nothing!

The crew at the pizza oven was fantastic

The staff was very nice and helpful

Rooms are smaller and more expensive than Japan. Found it impossible to get the room dark very bright led lights outside all night and windows coverings let the light in

Bed and beddings were super comfortable. It’s peaceful and has delicious dinner choices on site.

Breakfast looks good with lots of choices of food. Wish taste is as good as look

breakfast was great. room was double queen room, first floor, off interior courtyard, facing pariking lot

Beautiful

Great location, Nice and healthy breakfast included

Would have liked a bath tub/jacuzzi

Clean room, finally was able to be moved to a floor level room to an upstairs room and it is a much better experience

I did not realize this is a motel. The room we were originally in had a car parked right at our back window and the front window offered zero privacy either. We were met with a very rude attitude when we asked if we could move upstairs. The motel was not to capacity and the rooms were available so it did not make sense. Eventually we met a nicer man who helped us get moved. For $800 a night it was a very odd exchange.

Hotel was at Perfect location and very clean. Staff was friendly, especially the young happy guy at the breakfast buffet.

It lacked a bit of personality and coziness….event though it was a cozy space, it lacked a bit of heart and soul. But overall I would definitely stay there again!

Location and clean

It was in a very convenient location.

We asked for a 1st floor because I have difficulty with stairs. We were put in a dungeon like environment with almost no light. Hip-hop music was played outdoors all day and into the night so there was a constant base thump in our room. Also the lighting in the room was weird. Lights would come on under the bed as you stepped out of the bed and bathroom lights would come on and off at weird times. It was raining so there was constant noise from the downspout right outside our room.
