This is a lovely property, close to the main shopping/restaurants of Carmel. Our room was on the 2nd floor in the back of the Inn. Parking was easy, on sight close to our room. Elevators were available if needed. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the breakfast room. Nothing fancy but appreciated. Our room had a fireplace which we used to take the chill off the cool mornings and evenings. We enjoyed the balcony and had a lovely, distant view of the sea and sunset. I would love to stay here again.

The Inn seemed a bit far from the beach, we never walked down to see the coast.

Breakfast area was nice, overall pleasant stay, staff friendly, perfect location, just enough parking.

Toilet had a slight leak during our stay. It was minor and probably just a one-off issue. Shower head had an intermittent drip also.

The location is great! It is such a walkable town, that it is great to be able to park a car and leave it and go out on foot. We were close to the beach/shops/restaurants, which made our stay even more memorable!

The rooms were clean, but there was a really strong detergent smell that we couldn't get rid of, even with the window/screen door open all day.

Very good hotel for one night close to Hearst Castle. The rooms are large and well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The lady (owner) who welcomed us was adorable and super efficient (including cookies and little toys for the kids).

Breakfast is simple but fine. You have to drive to Cambria to find good cafés and restaurants (less than 10 minute drive, however).

Our balcony was HUGE and overlooked Carmel by the Sea. We spent so much time just looking at the beautiful scenery.

Wir hatten bei der Buchung extra um ein ruhiges Zimmer gebeten und bekamen dann ein Zimmer direkt an der Straße. Ab 6:30 Uhr morgens fuhr der Müllwagen eine geschlagene Stunde extrem laut auf und ab und an schlafen war nicht mehr zu denken. Die Zimmer sind altbacken eingerichtet und sehr düster. Der Teppichboden sieht unappetitlich aus. Wie man den Pseudo Kamin bedient, steht nirgends. Das Bad ist klein, und am Waschbecken gibt es so gut wie keine Ablagefläche. Es gibt Seife und Shampoo, Bodylotion nicht. Außerdem fehlte der Stöpsel. Es gibt keinen Safe.

Emplacement parfait en plein centre de Carmel, tout en étant dans un quartier très calme. Chambres spacieuses et très propres. Parking pratique.

Location was nice within walking distance. My issue was the pool closed early and the town closes early. So after arriving it would have e been nice to take a dip. The town has Jack the Ripper type fog and no lights. But the breakfast was good and helped save money.

All in all it was a good stay. Comfortable King Bed and very well located. Clean and nice personnel. Parking was included in the price and had a small pool.

Breakfast buffet is available but unfortunately there are only paper plates and cups, and plastic cutlery available. The Roll-bed for kids seems to be damaged and extremely uncomfortable/painful with a very thin mattress. I would totally discourage to request for it as it occupies space but it is unusable. My son slept on the mattress on the floor.

We couldn’t have asked for a better location, close to the shops and restaurants but tucked up into a quiet corner. There is a market next store for all of your needs, and a park across the street for our toddler to play. We were able to walk everywhere.

A good hotel with an excellent location. The city center is within easy walking distance. The hotel offers parking and a swimming pool, which are great advantages. Everything matches the description, and the facilities are well organized. A good choice for a comfortable stay and exploring the city.

The location is charming, plus the entire layout of this motor inn is very pretty, as well as the rooms.

Check-in receptionist could be nicer. Acoustics are problematic - whenever someone in the floor above walks you hear it, and adjacent showers also create exceptional noise.

I didn’t like how thin the walls were and you could hear everything!! It wasn’t the cleanest but it was okay.

Loved the location and the vibe. It was close to the beach and the shops. Facilities were very good.

The outside area (balcony) was a little dirty with cobwebs. That’s the only bad point I can find.

Is it fancy? No. Is it well maintained and cute, absolutely. The flower boxes have flowers, grounds are kept up nice. There is an outdoor pool. It is an older property with multi floors. It is in a GREAT location for walking down to the shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The king room was a great size with balcony and fireplace. The bathroom was on the smallish size but we have stayed in smaller. We only asked for fresh towels and trash to be emptied during our four night stay which was taken care of by the time we got back. We wanted a central location where we could drive to see several things and this fit what we wanted. They do offer breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, bagels or pastries, cereal, some fruit) which is a pretty typical free hotel breakfast; the coffee was good. This hotel appeared to be very similar to others that I saw around the town (on the outside). The only thing that made me cringe a tiny bit was it was a carpeted room which you don't see as much anymore. We would definitely stay here again!

Location is the best there is in Carmel. It's a block away from Ocean Avenue, and close to all the restaurants and shops. It's just a 10 minute walk away from the beach too.

Reggel sétálni mentünk, bőröndjeinket már az autóba tettük, ám némi személyes dolgot a szobában hagytunk és nem checkoltgunk ki. Mire - időben - visszatértünk, már kirámolták a szobát, a takarító eltüntette illetve kidobálta az ott hagyott dolgainkat. Ebből néhány tétel a szemétből visszamenthető volt, de nem minden. Végül, sokadik panaszra 50 USD kompenzációt kifizettek, a hibát elismerték.

Our room was so clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, having the fireplace and ocean view really made it feel luxurious. We loved being able to walk everywhere, including down to the beach for sunset.
