The locations views was simply spectacular. We had one great sunset due to the weather. Food options were plentiful but some of it was not to my taste. The staff were very accommodating. Bed was a little firm.

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. The scenery was good. The gym was good and so was the pool. Ishara at the bar was so attentive and exceeded expectations. He was everywhere helping out and is such a great asset to the hotel. He is such an amazing staff member.

Some of the staff need proper training as the service was way below expectations.

I liked the view at night of the towns lights glowing in the distance and the buffet was delicious there was various types of food 😋

We had a wonderful stay at this charming mountain hotel. The views are simply fantastic and never seem to get old. Being welcomed with a lovely cup of tea while taking in the scenery was a particularly nice touch. The swimming pool was great, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The entire hotel and our room were spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The decor may be a little dated in places, but everything was perfectly in order and added to the charm. A lovely place to relax, enjoy the views and simply take it all in. We would happily return!

The pool and spa were fantastic and exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. And my goodness… that view! Waking up surrounded by those breathtaking mountains was something else entirely. The misty hills, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere make Amaya Hills feel like a little escape tucked away above Kandy. From the beautiful bride-to-be surprise to the delicious food, relaxing spa, pool, spacious room, wonderful hospitality, and those unforgettable mountain views, we truly enjoyed every part of our stay. Greate room, wanderfull view, amazing facilities (pool, bar, resturant, billiard table, ping-pong... ) , nice food, all were greate. We all loved it! Staff was really nice as well.

A bit up in the mountain, which provide the greate view but also the drive... Can use a bit more renovation in a few spots, but the rooms were very very nice,

The staff were the highlight. Nalaka and Senuka at restaurant were exceptionally friendly and eager to help. We had a spare room due to a sudden illness and reception helped us to cancel extended night without further charges. Properly is bit dated but staff is such a fantastic bunch. Keep up the good work.

We went there with our family for a couple of night as part of our Sri Lanka tour and every thing was perfect. Special mention for our waiter Nalaka, thank you so much for the outstanding service and special attention. We will definitely be back!

I had a wonderful experience at Amaya Hills. The hotel has a beautiful atmosphere, excellent hospitality, and very friendly staff. The service was truly outstanding, especially from the Front Office team, who were professional, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. What an experience, an outstanding, beautiful hotel in an exceptional setting with the most amazing staff and hospitality. We arrived for just one night as part of an arranged tour - relaxing in a stunning and relaxed bar environment with above and beyond service from our wonderful hostess Rashmi (and the team behind the scene.) Followed by an incredible buffet dinner that honestly stood out from the many buffet meals we had all experienced so far on our tour. Special thanks also to Nalalea who looked after us in the restaurant and made sure we all had the best time possible. Our true appreciation to all the staff working together to provide such a wonderful resort experience - as a group our one wish was to have stayed just a bit longer. The staff and the entire team was quite hospitable. On day one we had a small issue, and late evening F&B manager helped us and moved us to another room. The view is amazing and the hotel rooms are very clean. Throughout our stay and specifically during BF and dinner time team was regularly asking us if everything is ok on our side, which made us all quite comfortable. At the restaurant Chaminda was very kind to us and made sure that all our family is well taken care off. Thank you so much to the entire team.

Overall, our experience was amazing and the entire staff was hospitable and took good care of us. The hotel rooms were clean, and the staff was always there to help us. At the restaurant, “Chaminda” was kind enough to ensure that we are well taken care off both during BF and dinner time. My wife and I have travelled extensively over the years, and from time to time you come across a resort that is truly exceptional. Amaya Hills in Kandy is certainly one of those places. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming. We arrived a day earlier than planned, which was no issue whatsoever. There was no fuss or hesitation — before we knew it, we were in our room and unpacking. The management were highly professional and made us feel completely at home throughout our stay. The general staff were always polite, friendly and accommodating, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. The location is simply brilliant, nestled in the hills above Kandy with the most amazing views across the city. What a knockout! The food and presentation were something else. The balance and quality were exactly what you would expect from a resort of this standard, with a vast range of international and Sri Lankan cuisine that changed daily. We could choose to eat inside or outside, and fortunately the weather was perfect, so we chose to dine outdoors. The bar area was also a wonderful place to enjoy a quiet drink after a busy day — or sometimes after doing absolutely nothing! It was a great way to finish the day. The bartenders were extremely capable, attentive without being intrusive, and there was never any waiting. Whatever we required, they were only too happy to provide. I also observed two senior managers at various times during our stay, and it quickly became obvious why this hotel operates at such a high standard. They were constantly looking for ways to improve, quietly guiding and directing staff while allowing them to learn along the way. It was brilliant to watch. To the managers of Reception, Food & Beverage( Dinesh) and Housekeeping, along with all your respective employees, we offer our sincere gratitude for the exceptional service you provided throughout our stay. We had a wonderful stay at Amaya Hills. The atmosphere is simply beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking mountain views. What impressed us the most was the front-line team—they were absolutely superb, friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. A special mention for their excellent pre-arrival service. They even contacted us via WhatsApp before our arrival to make sure everything was arranged and to check if we needed any assistance. This level of care made us feel welcomed even before reaching the hotel. Overall, a fantastic experience with a great atmosphere and an outstanding front-line team. Highly recommended! El hotel es simplemente fantástico, las habitaciones grandes, las vistas increíbles, una piscina con vistas a la montaña y el restaurante muy buena relación calidad-precio. Sin duda para repetir!

Le personnel a été aux petits soins pour notre anniversaire. Les chambres sont bien fournies et le sommier nous amène vite vers morphé. Petit dejeuner européen et local (grand choix). La piscine agréable.

They upgraded our rooms to a better view of the beautiful mountain and pool. Thanks for that; much appreciated. The downfall was that my elderly mother had to use the steps to get to the room because there was no elevator for these rooms, but there was one available in other areas. The beds are very comfortable, and the room amenities were excellent. The breakfast and dinner buffet is excellent, and many European and most common and delicious Sri Lankan cuisines were available. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help with our meal requirements.

Since the hotel is at the top of the mountain, you need your own vehicle or a taxi to get to the city.

De gastvrijheid, ambiance, uitstraling van personeel en het uitzicht waren geweldig!! Het eten was prima, wel veel keuze en voor ieder wat wils. We hebben genoten van alle faciliteiten, het zwembad met geweldig uitzicht en de comfortabele kamer. Mocht je een massage interessant vinden dan zijn ze hier goed in gespecialiseerd, het was heerlijk.

Er kwamen veel extra taxes bovenop de prijs, standaard 10% fooi bij iedere rekening en extra toeslagen. Hierdoor lopen de kosten snel hoog op. De locatie is prachtig maar moeilijker om vervoer te regelen.

Non è assolutamente un 5 stelle. La pulizia è carente, la camera rumorosa e maleodorante. L'odore proveniva dal bagno ,penso abbiano problemi con le fognature. Questa catena non vale un centesimo di quello che si paga, mi dispiace scriverlo ma è cosi! Andate altrove.

Location, weather and room is great.

Food allergy products and Hotel Responsibility about it is really wasn’t there. My sister got food allergy and had to admit to hospital after the dinner. The hotel was clearly informed about the seriousness of her food allergy before, but still she got it after the dinner. And then when she is taking to the hospital, none of the staff supported and in mid of the night finding the hospital was terrible with dark and steep roads. And even after everything went, none were spoken taking responsibility and they only talked after we explained the responsibility of them for what had happened.

The breakfast buffet had a fantastic variety of options, from fresh fruits and pastries to a live egg station. Everything tasted fresh, and the staff specially Chathuka were quick to clear plates and refill coffee. A great start to the day .

We have been visiting this lovely hotel many times and it has been the same all the time and we are really enjoying our stay at Amaya hills Kandy . Everytime we visit Kandy we make it a habit to visit Amaya. We were served by two young lads Sachith and Yohan at the restaurant . And they are so kind and nice . Overall each holiday has been a memorable holiday, that is the main reason why we always visit this hotel . From the management team down to the line they treat us very well , and we enjoy the hospitality of them . It was a lovely weather this time , no much rain and lot of sunshine . Rooms are clean and kept nicely . Welcome at the reception was lovely . If I don’t mention the chef’s brigade i feel it bad , from our arrival date to the departure, the food was amazing with a vase variety of the buffet and the lunch set menu was wonderful we could not expect anything more than what we got . We look forward to visit Amaya soon as possible . And Sakithma Gunaratna stayed at room 16 and 17 with my parents from June 29th to July 2nd.

Booked 2 rooms and placed 2 adults. I Was under the impression that 2 adults per room. Hotel has overcharged huge amount for additional person in each room. I will be careful booking with Booking.com or may change to other hotel booking platforms.

Best Cappuccino I ever had in Srilanka. I have tried coffees from many 5 star hotels in srilanka during my travels, however Shehan from Amaya Hill Kandy made the best cappuccino.. thank you and great job

A stunning location and friendly service. Amaya Hills is located in the hills above Kandy, as you enter the view of the valley is breath taking. The rooms are lovely and clean, however the bathrooms are a bit tired. But we didn’t book this place for the bathroom. If you get sick of the picturesque view from your balcony you can move to another lovely location by the pool side, another balcony or bar where you can access a lovely selection of beverages and small meals. The service staff are very friendly and attentive, we were lucky enough to have Yohan look after us each morning. If you have the time you can also take advantage of the onsite spa that offer fantastic massages and facials.

Gosh what a beautiful place to see a sunset after a quick dip in the pool. The food and beverage staff were amazing especially after our group was one setting short on the table for dinner. Within several minutes the issue was sorted before our very eyes. Erandi was our waitress and she ensure that our dinner experience was special and she always had a smile and was relaxed. The next morning we were greeted by Erandi and we had breakfast outside so we could absorb the view before setting off in the bus. Future guests need to be aware that some our room had a shower over the bath which could be difficult for some guests

Had such a wonderful experience! The staff were ( Chef Pathum, Ravindra and Dharshana) incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the customer service was excellent from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious and every dish was full of flavor. What made the experience even more special was the location — surrounded by a beautiful misty vibe with breathtaking hill views. The pool area was stunning, and the dining area is set in such a mind-blowing scenic atmosphere that makes every moment feel relaxing and unforgettable. Definitely a place worth visiting again!
