Le cadre, la tranquillité, l accueil et la nourriture qui etait excellente. Un petit déjeuner excellent.

L accés a l hotel. Autrement RAS. Bonne adresse pour une tranquillité à Kandy.

Le lieu est magnifique, au milieu de la flore tél un petit coin de paradis idyllique où l’on entend les oiseaux et parfois apercevoir les singes jouer dans les arbres. Les chambres sont très bien décorées avec un grand lit très confortable. Fabrice ainsi que tout le personnel de l’hôtel promettent des services haute couture tout le long du séjour dans une ambiance chaleureuse et familiale. Nous avons pu faire beaucoup d’activités grâce à Fabrice et sa femme (avoir des places pour le PoyaDay, faire les 3 temples en tuktuk avec Isuru, découvrir Kandy et ses traditions, se faire masser par des professionnels Ayurveda,…) Aussi, le petit déjeuner est formidable ! Avec du bon beurre et des œufs faits à la demande. Je vous conseille aussi leur curry maison le soir a leur restauration près de la piscine, c’est un vrai voyage pour les papilles ! Encore merci pour ce séjour formidable ici.

La seule chose qui nous a embêté (en août) était l’humidité omniprésente due au temps et l’emplacement, ce qui n’était pas de leur ressort mais aucune affaire ne pouvait sécher de la pluie.

Tolle Lage mit tollem Garten. Gastgeber erfüllt einem jeden Wunsch. Frühstück war sehr umfangreich und sehr lecker. Insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt!

Zimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber die Dusche war klasse.

De locatie is ver buiten het centrum wat heel fijn is in Kandy, want het is een drukke stad. Je zit midden in de natuur. Beste Bedden van Sri Lanka, met goed eten en heerlijke wijn.

Vraiment très surprise par les avis négatifs dont 'ius n' avons heureusement pas tenu compte.bRien de ce qui a pu être écrit ne ressemble à l' expérience mémorable que nous avons vécue au sein de cet établissement. Tout était parfait et les prestations étaient largement à la hauteur des prix affichés. De notre côté nous avons passé deux nuits dans cet hôtel à l' accueil impeccable. La chambre était très propre et bien équipée, eau chaude et pression dans une vraie douche dans un cadre tout simplement wahoo! Le gros gros point fort est le cadre digne d'un resort haut de gamme...la jungle les oiseaux etc... Il nous aurait fallu un peu plus de temps pour tester la piscine très bien entretenue... Nous reviendrons sans aucune hésitation.

L accès est un peu tortueux mais c'est aussi le charme de la jungle et le prix à payer pour entrer dans ce petit paradis.

Geen minpunten maar de accommodatie is in eerste instantie lastig te vinden.

Tatsächlich gab es in diesem Hotel nur eine einzige wirklich tolle Sache! Die Lage! Man hat um sich herum Wälder und eine schöne idyllische Atmosphäre mit vielen Tierstimmen! Das war es mit dem Positiven aber auch schon leider!

Vorweg: Wir hatten zwei Zimmer! 1.) Die Zimmer sind sehr veraltet und explizit die Bäder sind keines Wegs ansprechend. Durch die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit riecht es in den Zimmern vermodert und schimmlig. 2.) Das Frühstück ist bis auf die Säfte jeden Morgen gleich und extrem "einfach" gehalten. Das Schlimmste aber waren an einem Tag in 3 von 6 Toast kurze schwarze Barthaare! 3.) Der Eigentümer ist sehr aufdringlich und will ständig Ausflüge andrehen, da hierfür natürlich eine ordentliche Provision für ihn abfällt (auch wenn er dies verneint) je mehr man bucht. Des Weiteren hat er uns im NACHHINEIN für das Frühstück bei Anreise jeweils 10€ berechnet ohne vorher den Preis angekündigt zu haben! Ein Frühstück auf Sri Lanka kostet fast überall max 3€! Absoluter Betrug und Abzocke! Fazit: Absolut nicht empfehlenswert und zu teuer für diese Zimmer und Frühstück!

Le personnel très gentil. Le directeur de l’établissement étant français cela facilite les choses. Tout étaient organisé parfaitement. Je conseil le restaurant aussi. On y as mangé 2 fois. De plus il nous as organiser des visites de Kandy et alentour pour les prix plus que correct . Cerise sur le gâteaux pour les enfants il y avais un petit minigolf de 6 trou qui les as amuser .

Eigenlijk niets. Het eten is heerlijk (franse en sri lankaanse keuken) maar wel aan de prijzige kant). Hetzelfde geldt voor de wijn en het bier.

Prachtige plek, mooie tuin, alle dieren, geweldig! Vriendelijke eigenaar. Heerlijke bedden. Een trip door Kandy via het hotel geregeld was erg leuk.

Moeilijk bereikbaar, geen idee dat er zoveel (buiten) trappen waren, zwembad vonden wij minder uitnodigend, stoelen niet echt gemakkelijk zittend. Het hotel was niet open als we terugkwamen uit de stad. Onhandig om binnen te komen. Een bel zou heel handig zijn!

La chance de cet hôtel est d être sur les hauteurs en pleine jungle ce qui l éloigne et rend l accès difficile du centre ville.

We went to Kandy for the cricket and the location was just a bit too far from the stadium.

Sehr schön gelegenes kleines Waldparadies mit hervorragendem Service und Französisch-Sri Lanka Küche. Hier serviert der Deutsch-, Englisch-, Französisch-sprachige Hausherr auch guten Wein bei guter Stimmung. Hierher komme ich gerne wieder.

Fabrice a le sens de l'hospitalité, le lieu est magnifique, directement dans la jungle, la literie était la meilleure de mon séjour et une vraie douche avec un vrai débit, ça compte aussi ! Le petit déjeuner était bon et copieux. Vous pouvez réserver je vous le recommande.

The location was great, 10 mins away from the noise and bustle of Kandy, but easily accesible. The staff were fantastic, helpful and polite. The food in the Hotel was delicious. We have just stayed for 4 nights at the Le lepart d'argent. Fabrice and all the staff were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is set up in the hills from Kandy. It's a little oasis of peace and quiet. Our room was very comfortable with a large bed. We had our evening meals at the hotel. The food was fantastic with a large selection to choose from. It was lovely after a day out to take a swim in the fresh water pool. Fabrice was also able to organise all your excursions at very reasonable prices.

We verbleven hier 5 nachten en hebben echt een fantastische tijd gehad. De kamers zijn ruim en schoon en het bed is echt mega comfortabel. De tuin/omgeving is heel mooi met allemaal planten, het zwembad is heerlijk. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ook moet je hier echt eten want het eten is FANTASTISCH. Ook kan je de was laten doen en hebben ze een minigolf en jeu 'd boule baan :). Wij raden iedereen aan om hier meerdere dagen te verblijven.

La lumpieza de las habitaciones y de las instalaciones y amabilidad del propietario, Frabrice es francés y hizo todo lo posible por ayudarnos durante nuestra estancia, ante cualquier necesidad poder contar con su ayuda fue una gran suerte. We have been just amazed by this small hotel. We did not know it before as we have stayed near the town the former stays we made to Kandy. As it was off-season, we have been the only guests. But felt as if we were staying within family there. The manager of the hotel was abroad but his deputy did a great job to make us feel comfortable and welcome. He organized a friendly and nice guide for our sightseeing tour to Kandy (the hotel is about 20 min by car from the city centre). Because of the location, we did had all meals at the hotel (except one evening). And the kitchen was just outstanding! We had to order our meals 2 hours prior the time we wanted to eat. And it was delicious, lovely presented and tasted just as heaven. Especially the Banana fritter dessert was our favourite! But also the breakfast was just outstanding. We will come back again.

Das Hotel liegt traumhaft inmitten des gepflegten Dschungels. Idylle pur mit Vogel gezwitscher und Schmetterlingen. Das Hotel liegt ca. 20 Mintuen vom Zentrum entfernt. Das Essen war sehr gut. Besonders das Curry mit 12 vetschiedenen Currys war spannend. Wir waren zwei Tage mit Isuru und seinem TukTuk unterwegs. Er hat aufmerksam unseren Kindern geschaut und uns unbeschwerte Tage beschert.

Dinner is a little expensive compared to other places (but the food is good!). Breakfast is not very special and every day the same.

So ein friedlicher Platz in den Hills von Kandy!! Tolles Porzellan und wunderbares Frühstück - gute Luft und ein wunderschöner Garten mit Pool. Wir haben gerne Boule gespielt mit den Kindern und das lecker Essen genossen. An meinem Geburtstag wurde ich mit lecker Rumbananen und einem Geburtstagslied der kompletten "Crew" überrascht! Die Geräusche der Vögel, Affen und Tiere waren toll - da man ohne Aircon schlafen konnte, waren diese gut zu hören. Nach einem Tag in Kandy, der perfekte hideaway!!

L’hôtel est sur les hauteurs de Kandy dans un cadre calme et verdoyant. Dans le magnifique jardin il y a une piscine, un terrain de pétoncle et un mini-golf. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et le restaurant le soir est très bien aussi, même si les prix sont un peu élevés pour Sri Lanka. Si vous cherchez la tranquillité, hors de la ville de Kandy (bruyante et polluée) cette adresse est pour vous. Le propriétaire est très disponible pour organiser les sorties et vous conseiller.

Rien. Il faut juste savoir que vous êtes un peu loin de la ville et il faut un tuktuk ou taxi pour sortir le soir par exemple. Il y a pas mal de marches, qui pourrait être un souci pour certains. Il manque juste un petit frigo dans les chambres.

Mooi hotel op prachtige locatie verscholen in het regenwoud. Hartelijke ontvangst met vruchtensapje. De Franse eigenaar doet er alles aan om het iedereen naar de zin te maken en ziet daar nadrukkelijk op toe. Je kunt er fantastisch eten. De steak is hier perfect, niet de taaie Sri Lankaanse rund die je in dit land vaak geserveerd krijgt. Mooi zwembad, maar hebben we geen gebruik van gemaakt.

Niets, de weg er naar toe kan als spannend ervaren worden. Erg steil en bij vertrek had onze chauffeur moeite om op het pad naar de weg omhoog te komen, maar dat lag denk ik ook aan het gebrek aan profiel op zijn banden.

Schitterende plek. Zeer vriendelijke franse eigenaar. Wat wil je nog meer: Ontbijten op het terras met spelende apen in de bomen. Mooie kamers en alles zeer netjes verzorgd. Heerlijk ontbijt. Ligt relatief ver van het centrum, dus vandaar dat je er ook kunt dineren. Heerlijk gegeten en een mooie kaart voor een familie hotel. Het verblijf als je Kandy bezoekt!

El concepto de “hotel en el bosque” tiene encanto, muy recomendable si quieres pasar unos días alejado del bullicio y en contacto con la naturaleza sin salir del hotel. La cama es cómoda. Lo mejor son las zonas comunes y la piscina, que ni siquiera pudimos disfrutarla porque llovía y estaba cerrada. Nos ofrecieron un cocktail a nuestra llegada, lo cual fue un detalle. Los locales que trabajan allí fueron muy atentos y amables, se ofrecieron a llevar nuestro equipaje desde el momento que llegamos (bastante pesado) y nos ayudaron a sacar cuesta arriba el tuktuk al finalizar nuestra estancia, ya que nos parecía bastante complicado.

Sin duda: su acceso. Creo que debería destacarse el hecho de que este hotel se encuentra bastante alejado de Kandy. El acceso consiste básicamente en sucesivas curvas y cuestas que terminan en mitad del bosque, con un camino muy pendiente, sin iluminación y sin asfaltar para llegar al hotel. En nuestro caso, este hecho hizo de nuestra estancia una verdadera pesadilla, ya que íbamos en un tuktuk alquilado, llegamos totalmente a oscuras y hacía mal tiempo, sin saber cómo salir de allí al día siguiente. El dueño, un hombre francés, parecía reírse en nuestra cara cada vez que nos veía preocupados por salir de allí al día siguiente. Nuestra idea habría sido llegar, hacer el check in y dar una vuelta por Kandy para conocerlo, cenar en algún sitio de nuestra elección, dar un paseo, etc. pero la situación prácticamente nos obligó a cenar allí recluidos hasta el día siguiente, que nos fuimos a primera hora. En cuanto a las habitaciones, sin más. La nuestra olía a humedad, la mosquitera no servia para nada porque era corta y el agua de la ducha empapaba todo el baño. Hemos recorrido la isla con hoteles mucho mejores y a menor precio.

Fabrice was so welcoming and a really true host. The French cuisine was exceptional and a good wine list. Lovely grounds, terrace and swimming pool. Very comfortable enormous bed.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The weather was not perfect but it did not affect our stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and facilities good. We played crazy golf and enjoyed walking in the countryside. The restaurant food was excellent and each day we looked forward to our wonderful meals. We stayed 5 nights and not one meal disappointed. It was lovely being outside the busy city and in the hillside. We would highly recommend.

If you want to be right in the centre of a busy city this is not the hotel for you but if you want tranquility with great food, stay here.

Eigenlijk was alles perfect: de kamer, de douche, de locatie, de tuin. Het eten was echt voortreffelijk. De franse eigenaar was zeer attent richting ons. Ook het overige personeel was zeer voorkomend.

Waar we erg van geschrokken zijn was de houding van de eigenaar richting onze lokale taxichauffeur. Hem werd een slechte kamer aangeboden en slecht eten. Ook werd erg bot tegen hem gedaan. Een andere chauffeur werd het toilet geweigerd. Dit onderscheid in behandeling van de gasten en de lokale chauffeurs geeft ons een nare bijsmaak.

Il proprietario Fabrice e lo staff ci ha accolto e ci ha aiutato a trasportare le valigie fino alle nostre camere. Quello che abbiamo apprezzato maggiormente sono stati gli asciugamani profumati, l'acqua calda (faceva fresco) e la pulizia delle camere.

Abbiamo incontrato una piccola blatta e un millepiedi (comune in vari hotel in Sri Lanka, soprattutto se localizzati in mezzo alla natura) e la stanza aveva un odore di umidità. La posizione dell'hotel è parecchio isolata e la strada stretta e in salita, ad una buona mezz'ora da Kandy.

Struttura immersa nella natura, giardino perfettamente curato; Ideale per chi vuole rilassarsi e sfuggire dal caos della città. Personale molto attento e sempre disponibile. Abbiamo cenato con menu ampio e variegato con possibilità di cucina europea.

Jungle Feeling pur. Ja, das ist etwas außerhalb-aber das weiß man ja vorher. Der Besitzer hat uns einen tollen TUKTuk Fahrer organisiert, der uns am Bahnhof abgeholt hat. Für 1000 Rupien (ca.3 Euro) kommt man günstig und einfach mit dem TukTuk in die Stadt. Mit dem Fahrer haben wir auch den ganzen nächsten Tag auf Sightseeing-Tour verbracht - und viele spannende Infos bekommen (8000 R). Wenn es vielleicht mal etwas muffig in den Zimmern riecht-liegt das an der extrem hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit und nicht an mangelnder Pflege etc.. Wenn die Klimaanlage läuft ist das dann auch nicht bemerkbar. Das Abendessen war lecker - es ist zwar etwas teurer aber aus unserer Sicht angemessen.

Der Eingangsbereich sieht ein wenig traurig und wenig einladend aus :-)
