Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Staff were excellent and went above and beyond! We made a mistake in our reservation and they were able to fix it last minute and get us a pair of rooms for the day we arrived. The cleaning staff did a great job to get it ready for us fast. They also were very helpful with our bikes and arranging secure storage. We also appreciated that they let us leave our vehicle in the parking lot past checkout so we could spend the afternoon using the bike park and visiting the village shops.
Some parts of the building and rooms looked like it could use a freshening up. New curtains, shower curtains.
Staff were great, room was great, kitchenette was great.
Hot tub was unavailable. Extra fee for parking was very annoying. Should include in total price.
The staff
Nothing
Location,
Too many dogs in hotel
Room was spacious and clean
The AC was loud and kept turning on and off
Location was excellent, breakfast was not included.
No air conditioning, room was uncomfortably warm, no balcony. Thought parking should have been free or at leaat less expensive.
Very convenient location, great staff. It was also awesome that they allow clean bikes into your room as bike security is often an issue when traveling and staying away
Nothing
A bit dated property but clean and right in the village and have coffee shops and bakeries downstairs
Good size, helpful staff
part of window didnt have blinds or curtains
great access to local business, great accessibility for riding, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, room was much more than expected
25 min from Kamloops, worth the drive. Atmosphere was happy village. Room was impeccably clean. Bed very comfortable. Value excellent. Room has heat only but with provided fan and an open window it was fine. Lots of people were there, displaced from the wildfires and we could hear laughter and cheering from outside the window down below, which didn't bother us, but someone more sensitive may be affected. Several meal/ coffee/ deli options and shopping too
Super Lage, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, Küche im Zimmer
Keine Klimaanlage, Mückengitter nur bei einem winzigen Fenster
Lage ist toll;
Die Kosten für den Parkplatz im Sommer sind doch recht hoch.
Location and staff were excellent
The Sundance is very well located in the centre of Sun Peaks. Our room was very comfortable with balcony on which to enjoy the long summer evenings.
Good location.
Old rooms that need maintenance. It was barely above 80F during the day and the rooms were so hot we were unable to sleep. No ventilation in rooms or hallways.
location
cleaning was terrible. filthy dish racks, dust behind furniture, sticky tables, no duvet covers, no pillow covers
No air conditioning, there is a fan but the room is warm.
No breakfast but a great location
Cleanliness of carpet and in the elevator and the temperature in the room
Location
Ideal location in the heart of the village right by the lifts and a couple of lovely bars The staff were friendly and helpful
Great location, and fairly well equipped kitchenette. Spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The lack of AC or more windows that you could open made the rooms difficult to cool down at night. The room was clean enough, but some of the kitchen equipment needed proper cleaning.
The location was perfect My dog was comfortable too I love having a kitchen Beautiful view
Only things were air conditioning may have been nice and the ice machine wasn’t working. All in all totally great
Staff was great, location good, liked that there was underground parking, beds were comfortable.
Could use updating, looking worn, but then the price reflects this.
Great location. We stopped here just for a night during the summer so it functioned very well as a place to sleep to break up the drive to Jasper. Very big room. Comfortable bed and good price. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Bathroom could do with upgrading but was very functional and wasn’t a problem. Also, had to pay for parking which seemed unnecessary but access was easy and spots were nice and big.
All went well, good to have hot tub etc
Coffee machine was not cleaned
It was lovely. It was an overnight stay on our way to Whistler. It would be and amazing place to stay during winter.
Wonderful hotel. Great atmosphere, good food. Amazing manager Robyn, she was really efficient, friendly and she has great knowledge of the whole area. Brian who ran the bar was super friendly, we had a great chat with him. The bar is lovely and full of atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great location! Nice room with full kitchen and everything we needed. Nice and quiet too.
Can’t get any closer to the slopes and chairlift
Some of our windows had no blinds or curtains which meant we had light coming in all night. Unsupervised kids using the one elevator as a playground everyday was annoying for guests trying to go up or down. Some reception staff were great, others pretty disinterested.
Great location
Room (216) was almost right above the bar and restaurant Bottoms which is located in the hotel. That would make it loud on regular Friday and Saturday nights, but the weekend I was there was the Altitunes Electronic music festival. I was not made aware of the festival (in advance or at check-in), or that Bottoms was hosting the after parties Friday and Saturday which ran until 1:00 am and were EXTREMELY loud (to the point where the windows and building were shaking). There was no where to move to as the hotel was fully booked. I made my reservation four months in advance and was not attending the festival, so did not make sense that that room was assigned to me. The situation could have been avoided if they had been proactive and contacted guests and advised them about the festival and after parties and assigned rooms like mine who were attending those events. In the end the hotel refunded me the cost of the two nights (out of four) given that it was impossible to sleep.
Closest to main lifts & helpful staff!
The location and room layout
The keys didn’t work half the time
Spacious with Mountain View
During weekends, downstairs was quite noise. And it was around 1am already.
Can’t get better ski in/ski out location. Lifts on your doorstep. Rooms are ok. Couple of things to note. Absolute minimum plates and cutlery provided and no dishwasher so if you are cooking/eating in unit you pretty much have to do washing up immediately. Parking garage has height restriction and will have to park outside near the entrance. In theory it is for lodge users only but does not seem to be policed and overflow over height parking is a short walk away. Enjoyed our stay. We got a slightly reduced rate. At the full rate I would argue that a bit overpriced but the location is great.
What can be better than Ski in/Ski out. The staff was great. The spa very clean and tidy. Having a kitchenette is good too if you didn't want to eat out.
N/A
Of course, the biggest advantage of this place is the location. It’s the closest lodge to the lifts, and it has the best café with an entrance directly from the hotel side.
The biggest downside is that the hotel feels quite dated and hasn’t been renovated in a long time. From the somewhat unpredictable, very old elevator to the aging appliances in the kitchenette and the worn carpets, many elements show their age and could definitely use an upgrade.
Great location, genuine ski in, stones throw to cafes and restaurants, spacious room, large outdoor spa
Great location and value for money. All staff were very helpful and friendly making it very difficult to leave as we had so much fun staying there.
Having to pack up and leave as was the best location on the mountain.
Great bed friendly staff
Lobby not attractive or welcomInh
The kitchen set up was great and the views of the ski hill was amazing
The parking underground Way to tight for a pickup
今回2度目の滞在です。ロケーションが良くホテル施設も良い。
So close to the mountain for true ski in ski out. Good option for food and drinks in the bar attached but close to other options too. Nice hot tub for post ski soaks
Location, staff interaction.
The aging quality of the rooms, the kitchen supplies provided.
Great location, very convenient for skiing
very outdated hotel, not romantic in my opinion.
没有早餐,地理位置非常好。
床太软。
Wonderful staff and excellent location
The location was perfect, central to everything. The hot tub was a lovely perk.
The overall organization of the staff seemed uncoordinated during our stay. We arrived at 4 p.m. and discovered there was no shower curtain in our room. It took a very long time for one to be brought to us. The following morning, our bathtub backed up, and we had to call the front desk approximately five times over the course of two hours before someone came to address the issue. The maintenance personnel did apologize for forgetting about us, but the delay set our day back by about two hours. Additionally, the hotel was very noisy. A dog across the hall barked constantly, and loud noises—sounding like furniture being moved—began around 6 a.m. on Sunday. Overall, these issues made our stay far less comfortable than expected.
Location
In the kitchenette, the dish washing scrub was used.
Nice gym that actually has a barbell press, right beside the main lodge and chairlifts, nice warm semi private hot tub attached to the gym. The staff were super kind and helpful. I’d stay again
No AC in the rooms so in summer it can be warm, but it is a older ski resort
Great location , very spacious for 2 couples or a small family
Nothing to say
Great view and the bar was amazing the drinks were awesome
Great location and wonderful staff.
Hotel on a ski resort. Our stay was just a stop over whilst travelling. Not a lot seemed to be open around the Hotel yet as we went outside of ski season. The room itself needs a little upgrading, the beds were uncomfortable and the carpet tired. Little kitchenette had dirty dishes in the cupboard and cutlery in the drawer, think this could be down to guests washing their own, but still should be checked.
Great location and nice hot tub. However, room was dirty, in particular the carpet, and kitchen items such as the kettle and toaster were filthy. Would not book again.
My stay at the Sundance Lodge this past weekend was great. A staff member went above and beyond for me. I lost a sentimental gold necklace and pendant, the front desk staff promptly put the lost item on a local Facebook group. I learned later that Caitlyn not only found the necklace but she physically went to the supermarket and retrieved it on my behalf and brought it back to the front desk so I could pick up upon my return to the hotel. I am extremely grateful to her and would recommend the Sundance to anyone, super location and obviously great staff!
Perfect location.
It was a more affordable option. Parking was easy. The walkability to other locations was perfect. The elevator was broken down so we had to take the stairs. Our room was directly above the bar Bottoms, it was very loud at night. The Hotel is very dated.
Was nothing remarkable, but would stay again.
Great service and comfortable room.
View was lovley. Robin, on the front desk, was kind, helpful, and very processional. She made our stay very pleasant.
Broken elevator not know about until we checked in was frustrating l.
Best location, view and hot tub right overlooking the chairlift. Very friendly staff. Elevator wasnt working but only a minor inconvenience
overall very good, air conditioning would be nice and while we were there there was no elevator, clean, good price,no daily room service just 3 in 10 days, but extra towels etc were easy to get
Scenery was lovely, lots of room for my family in town for a rugby tournament
My husband, baby, and dog came to stay one night to celebrate our two year wedding anniversary. We just wanted an easy relaxing night in together. It was a terrible experience. The worst part was that the room was 35 degrees (mid September when it’s cool outside) in the room even at night! No AC, no fan. We slept in separate beds on top of the sheets and barely slept. On top of not sleeping, the washroom was gross. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned in the bowl or behind it. The bathtub hadn’t grime in it. On top of that, the elevator was broken so you have to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs with luggage, a baby, and a 10 year old dog that limps. Annnnnd their parking was full so we had to park half a kilometer away. Annnnnnd the lock was broken so our key worked 50% of the time. We also requested a travel crib that wasn’t there when we arrived. They did fix that for us, but all these details seem to slide through the cracks. I hate complaining but this is ridiculous. I could let one or two of these things slide, but all of them together is inexcusable. The worst night in a hotel I have had! Save yourself the money and don’t go.
We had a wonderful two night stay at the Sundance Lodge. We picked this hotel as it is pet friendly. The room we had was spacious and it is awesome to have the small balcony and kitchen. For us it would have been even better to have one bed in the room and a sofa where there other bed was. We very much enjoyed having the doors to the balcony open and having that outside space. The bed is comfortable and everything is very clean.
The room was a little too hot for us so we ended up sleeping with the balcony door open
Beautiful location. The room was hot and there was no air con but there was a fan in the room. Easy access to restaurants and shops. The parking fee ($24) was waived due to a lift issue.
No ac, dirt sadly. Elevators out
Great staff, location, room, love this place.
No air-conditioning or fan.
Parking not great if your oversized 6.5' vehicle Elevator not working apparently for awhile Wife has Parkinson's so should have walked away then Scheduled Power outage Sunday 7am to 8:30 and 6-7 pm Bathtub drain almost completed plugged for shower Bathmat soooooo old the sides looked as if rats had eaten them No AC (which is ok) but room was closed up, no fan and outside temp reached high 20'sC Dated carpet, adjoining room, No reflection in room pricing ??? Sad reflection on Whistler type property. Front desk very Friendly Powder Hounds Restaurant First rate !! Nicky thumbs up!!! Maybe a good place for ski bums not couples getaway! Stay somewhere else in area for now.
Had a great stay, would gladly stay here again.
Very accommodating and friendly staff. Clean room. A little warm but that was expected for the summer. Overall a great stay.
A great location and friendly staff. I would say 5 star but no AC in the rooms. It was so warm in the room even with a fan. The staff were very understanding when we checked out after the first night and issued a refund for the other nights.
Staff were super friendly. Very pleasant. Room was clean. The fact that there was no air conditioning or fan for air movement made it somewhat uncomfortable. The window opened but the screen was broken.
no airconditioning and elevator not working and too late to rebook for another hotel
All good
A basic hotel but could do with some updates. The elevator was not working during our stay.
