Really liked the location and the security of the property! The room has a vintage style which I enjoyed. Caterina was amazing and while at the breakfast she told me a few historic facts about the gallery.

The location was ideal as there were plenty of places easy to walk to. Lots of restaurants and stores all around the building.

The bed was very hard and we had issues with the wifi.

Very overrated …. Rooms are basic , no WiFi, safe didn’t work. I think because it’s in the galleria building it is hyped up . There is better to be had for the price.

I checked out very early. The lights were out in the hallway and the desk clerk was asleep on the couch. He was very rude and unhelpful.

Decoração lindíssima, atendimento da equipa irrepreensível. A senhora do pequeno almoço que nos recebia todos os dias com um sorriso na boca e alegria. Pequeno almoço variado e bom. A localização impossível ser melhor

O elevador é castiço mas por vezes aborrecido por ser muito antigo. Mas faz parte de todo o pacote de escolher algo dentro das galerias, para nós não foi um problema, foi uma aventura.

The hotel is in a very good location. The hotel met our needs, and the breakfast was even better than we expected.

It's a pity that they don't pay more attention to caring for the plants on the room balconies; one of the plants on our balcony was completely dried up due to a lack of watering.

Lali gave us the most welcoming arrival we ever had! Katherina also helped with her warm support. The Hotel is wonderful, feel free to book, everything is great and its really something special.

Expect to hear some people at night if your window is towards the inside of the galleria. But wonderful view and good temperature.

El desayuno muy bueno y variado. El equipo humano del hotel ha sido siempre muy amable, servicial y atento a las peticiones.

El millor , sens dubte, ha estat la ubicació. A les mateixes galeries Umberto, conjunt arquitectònic espectacular. L’hotel és un antic palau que conseva l’identitat del passat. Decoració clàssica majestuosa. Habitacions que et transporten al luxe aristocràtic de fa segles, però amb totes les comoditats actuals. L’esmorzar molt bo i complert. El personal amabilíssim, el que és d’agraïr. I en especial, vull fer esment de la Carolina, qui ens va atendre a l’esmorzar amb una simpatia i amabilitat bestial. Si mai torno a Napols, se quin serà el meu allotjament

Secondo soggiorno in questa struttura ubicata all'interno della Galleria Umberto I; la vista dalla camera si è rivelata, nuovamente, emozionante e splendida. Ambienti eleganti e raffinati

Purtroppo, rispetto al primo soggiorno i servizi si sono rivelati di livello inferiore. Oltre a qualche lacuna nelle forniture (l'asciugacapelli si riscaldava continuamente e rendeva difficile l'utilizzo, nella camera non risultavano presenti pantofole di cortesia) l'aspetto più deludente è stato il comportamento del personale durante la colazione: nella prima mattinata del soggiorno, pur essendo arrivati con un quarto d'ora di anticipo sull'orario di cessazione del servizio, abbiamo trovato una cameriera intenta già a sparecchiare che, appena ci ha visti, ha sottolineato come fossimo arrivati troppo tardi e dovessimo fare in fretta. Nei successivi dieci minuti ci ha sollecitato altre due volte. Il giorno successivo, per evitare un analogo trattamento, siamo arrivati con mezz'ora di anticipo. Un'altra cameriera ci ha accolti sorridente e molto loquacemente, poi però, nell'imminenza dell'orario di termine della colazione ha iniziato a metterci fretta, trattamento invece non riservato ad un altro gruppo di avventori, di lingua tedesca, seduto nel tavolo limitrofo.

Tolles Hotel in hervorragender Lage, eigentlich schon im Herzen Neapels. Von hier aus ist man zu Fuss gleich am Hafen, die Metrostation ist auch ums Eck. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet, aber schon ein bisschen älter. Die Klimaanlage war super, bei unserem Besuch hatte es draussen nachts nie unter 27 Grad. Frühstück ist top, auch die Aussicht vom Frühstücksraum auf die Galleria Umberto ist super. Das Personal ist durchwegs sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, besonders Catharina vom Frühstücksteam versprüht permanent gute Laune und erklärt auch alles was man übers Frühstück wissen möchte. ;)

Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, besonders Geräusche aus der Galleria Umberto sind nachts deutlich zu hören. Da wir aber grundsätzlich mit dem Einschlafen kein Problem haben, war das für uns kein großes Problem.

This was my first time in Naples, and I didn’t know the area very well. I wanted to stay somewhere central, and I had quite high expectations for this hotel. It is a small hotel, but what really caught my attention was its unique location inside the Galleria Umberto, as well as its beautiful, classic, and distinctive décor. I have to say, it did not disappoint. The hotel is beautiful, charming, and quite unique, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The lady in charge of breakfast was always very kind and attentive. Angelica at reception was also extremely helpful and friendly. I was given a room upgrade (junior suite)because the room I had originally booked was fully occupied, and they gave me an even better one. So, thank you very much for that! The room was beautiful and very spacious, with a lovely view of the city. The location is perfect, as it is close to everything, and being inside the Galleria Umberto is definitely one of the highlights. It almost feels like a little peaceful escape from the busy and lively streets of Naples outside. The hotel is very clean, the breakfast has a great variety of options, and I really enjoyed my stay.

Più che un soggiorno è stata un’esperienza, decisamente positiva. Camera elegante e pulita. Personale accogliente e professionale. Un particolare ringraziamento a Caterina che durante la colazione ci ha raccontato la storia della galleria.

Posizione centralissima, nel complesso una bella struttura. Personale gentile e disponibile, camere belle e spaziose con balconcini attrezzati e comodi. Soffitti affrescati bellissimi.

Ascensore a pagamento (i soldini da utilizzare li fornisce l’hotel) però ascensore lento e molto tempo di attesa. All’ingresso in stanza spina di fianco al letto rotta, chiamo subito la reception e mi dicono che avrebbero informato il tecnico…in 4 giorni di soggiorno non è arrivato nessuno e ho dovuto caricare uno dei due telefoni in bagno. Niente cappuccino a colazione ma solo caffè.

The breakfast was amazing! The room was so big compared to other hotel rooms I’ve stayed in in Italy. The view from the room was incredible, looking out into the galleria. The hotel itself was small enough to have a homey feel, but the staff was so professional that I felt like I was staying at a large chain with all of the resources I’d want. The walls and ceiling were decorated by hand (and you can tell because the line strokes are unravel). I found this so charming and beautiful - my fiance didn’t love it as much. The bed was quite comfortable as well - on the harder side - but still very good quality. I loved the elevator. I’ll preface by saying I’m scared of elevators (an irrational fear), but I really enjoyed the experience of putting in a coin and going up and seeing the entire surroundings. I was a little scared (because of my fears), but the elevator felt completely safe and smooth - no jerking or pauses!

The only thing that could have been better was the shower/bath. Our shower head broke (sometime before we arrived), because it was wasn’t attached properly. We notified the staff and there unfortunately had to order part, which wouldn’t arrive until after our stay because of the holiday. The staff did everything they could and were understanding when our showers made large pools of water on the floor. We felt very badly about this, but the staff was very helpful and offered additional towels to help!

L’ambiance global de l’hôtel, on a l’impression d’être dans un autre monde, le service était top très agréable surtout Catherina au petit déjeuner qui était très attentionné et qui avait toujours une recommandation pour nos excursions. La localisation est parfaite pour les visite ou les transports (métro, train, bateau)

Humidité Manque d’entretien Climatisation qui ne fonctionne pas très bien (surtout avec la canicule, la chaleur étouffante alors que je suis asthmatique) Ils nous ont donné une chambre donnant sur l’arrière de l’hôtel (alors nous avons bien demandé depuis janvier 2026 (plus que 6 mois d’avance) une belle chambre donnant sur l’intérieur de la Galleria Umberto soulignant qu’il s’agit de la célébration de nos noces de Saphir (16eme anniversaire de mariage), apparemment notre demande est restée « lettre morte » malgré notre gentil rappel au Check-in mais l’agent d’accueil à notre arrivée semblerait « très froid » (manque de sensibilité et d’empathie). L’emplacement donc donné nous a pénalisé avec la remontée des fortes odeurs provenant des restaurants/poubelles en bas ! Les jus servis lors du petit dej ne sont pas naturels/frais (comme il se doit pour un hotel 4* ) ! Le buffet du petit dej n’est pas assez riche pour un hotel 4* !

Very good location and breakfast. The building is beautiful.

The bathroom was very disappointing. Lots of black mould in the shower and the shower hose was very dirty. The bathrooms need upgradinf. We were also over-charged on city tax which was only identified when we were leaving and overheard someone else checking in and paying the tax and then queried how much we paid. There was more noise than I expected at night. On our last night there were loads of kids playing football within the shopping centre until midnight which was very noisy. Would also be good to have key cards to get in and out rather than relying on reception opening the doors.

Amazing location! The ladies at reception & at breakfast we wonderful- so attentive & helpful. Katerina, who assisted us every morning at breakfast was amazing!! She was so kind, helpful & attentive, especially with my 80-year old mother, whom she made a real point of chatting with & attending her.

The only fault I could find was that, for 2 days/nights, we did not have a kettle in our room...the first day when asked, the lovely lady at reception swiftly brought us hot water to make tea. The second day however, the gentleman on reception was very reluctant to do so & when I asked about the possibility of having a kettle, was a little dismissive & eventually brought a small pot of water. On the third day, I asked again about the possibility of a kettle & this time, another kind gentleman on reception managed to do so promptly. I felt awkward for keep having to ask & it is the only reason for not giving the highest of scores for the hotel.

Speecless! Such a unique, one of a kind historic building is rare to encounter. We are still under the impression of its whimsical beauty of another, long lost time. Every corner, every detail is a true masterpiece! This place is a true museum of art and beauty and elegance, with its lavish and opulent design. Here every detail tells a story and speaks of Naples' rich history and culture. We also feel the need to commend the courteous and accommodating staff, as well as the wide range of breakfast choices, including a vast array of traditional Neapolitan pastries. The position itself is incredible, right in the heart of the city and situated in the gorgeous Galleria, with a direct view of it from the breakfast hall. The room itself, other than being wonderfully decorated and generously sized, was well-equipped, as well as the bathrooom. This was a truly royal stay and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

Mi è piaciuta moltissimo questa struttura. La posizione è davvero stupenda, perfetta per visitare la città e raggiungere comodamente tutte le principali attrazioni. Lo staff è stato sempre disponibile e attento: abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema che è stato risolto con grande prontezza e professionalità. Una menzione speciale va a Caterina, che con la sua gentilezza e disponibilità ci ha fornito preziose informazioni e ottimi consigli, contribuendo a rendere il nostro soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Consigliatissima!

L’hôtel est mal insonorisé c’est très bruyant, la chambre sentait l’humidité, il y avait d’ailleurs des traces de moisissures au-dessus de la baignoire. Le parking à proximité (celui du château) est très cher 35€ pour une nuit !

Wonderful location within the beautiful Galleria Umberto I, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and although this is not a modern hotel it was comfortable with wonderful staff, an excellent breakfast and it was a very pleasuable stay.

The property is centrally located, making it convenient to explore the area. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained. Breakfast offers a good variety of options, providing a satisfying start to the day.

The rooms facing the mall are not completely soundproof, so some noise may be heard from outside.

Wir waren mit unserem Aufenthalt rundum sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel war sehr sauber und das gesamte Personal ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders geschätzt haben wir, dass wir schon vor der offiziellen Check-in-Zeit unser Zimmer beziehen durften. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich, frisch und sehr lecker. Wir würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen und können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen

The location was superb for our wants! It was clean and the facilities were good. They served a really good breakfast.

You have some steps to climb with suitcases from the taxi drop off area outside. The entrance is inside a gate and sometimes it was closed and we had to wait for someone to come out to go inside to access the elevator to the hotel.

Nos gustó la ubicación en el barrio español donde se vive el ambiente napolitano. Cerca del lungomare que ofrece vistas al Vesubio . En si el hotel está dentro de una bella galería modernista. Hicimos un walking tour y uno de los puntos de visita era esta galería.

Breakfast was buffet style with a nice choice. The Hotels location was excellent for my needs. The staff all seemed very pleasant and helpful.

The room needed a good lick of paint, marks on the walls etc. The bathroom was missing a sink plug, big empty hole, needed a lot of work to get to a 4* standard, plus the water pressure in the shower was pretty useless.

Por lo demás coincido con la mayoría de los usuarios en una opinión muy favorable en lo referente a instalaciones, limpieza, y al encanto particular de este hotel que, además, goza de una ubicación inmejorable.

Lo mas destacable es la Ubicacion , dentro de la Galeria Umberto I que es una bellez y en pleno centro. y el Desayuno muy completo y delicioso con la pastelería destacada de lo mejor de Napoles. Caterina nos atendio espectacular en el desayuno, nos preparó más Pan que se habia acabado y nos explicó cada bocado de la pasteria que nos permitió disfrutarla aun mas.

Da unser Flug nach Berlin früh morgens ging bekamen wir ein Doggybag. Sehr nett. Das Zimmer war großartig, Bad und Dusche alles nagelneu. Der Blick aus dem Fenster: direkt in die riesige Galleria Umberto II, Wie in Mailand, nur größer. Schon sehenswert. Gegenüber am Porto fährt der Alibus ab. Zum Flughafen für 5 Euro. Neben dem NH Hotel ist noch ein Italiener, der ganz wunderbar war.

Wir wußen nichts vom praktischen Alibus, und hätten fast unseren Flug verpasst, weil die Taxen streikten. Der Concierge hatte zwar gesagt, dass wir uns keine Sorgen machen sollten, da der Streik nur an unserem Ankufttag sei; dem war aber nicht so. So sind wir mind. 45 Minuten mit Koffern rumgeirrt, bis uns jemand vom Alibus am Porto erzählte. Stress! Dickes minus für den Concierge! Ach so: für Italienfans... Neapel ist unsere Meinung nach die häßlichste, schmutzigste und uninteressanteste Stadt von Italien. Dagegen ist sogar Palermo sauber und entzückend.

Der Frühstückraum ist unglaublich, da man in den Innenraum der Galleria Umberto blickt. Die Frühstücksdame ist sehr herzlich und erfüllt jeden Wunsch. Großes Kompliment an - ich glaube Christina. Danke für die schöne Zeit!

Die Matratzen vom Bett machen bei jeder Drehung Geräusche. Ansonsten sind die Zimmer sehr groß und gut ausgestattet.

Location, Location, Location!!! Right inside the Galleria was SO beautiful with windows opening to the domes Galleria! The staff was very helpful explaining how to navigate Naples, breakfast was outstanding and the hotel was very convenient to the port, many landmarks and restaurants!

Well, as iconic as the darling old elevator is, it is quite slow. It does take .10 Euro which the hotel makes sure to give guests.

I think we were unfortunate to have our room next to an office. Both mornings we were woken by staff scratching around behind our wall and lots of chatter at 6am.

The location was very central and in the middle of everything, so it was very convenient to get around the city even by foot most of the times. Since the hotel itself is located in the Umberto gallery, the architecture was very grand. The room had high ceilings and was tastefully decorated in the style of its surroundings. I am very fussy about cleanliness and was surprised to see that the room and bathroom room were very clean. The staff was amazing and very friendly. Special mentions to Teresa at reception who was super helpful in her recommendations. Also to Caterina in the breakfast room for her hospitality and sunny disposition. The breakfast spread was elaborate and had a lot of choices. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room and the quality of the services provided by the hotel. Would definitely recommend!

Not something the hotel can control, the area could be a bit noisy at night. Also, my room was located at the back where the bins were being collected quite early in the morning. Since I’m a light sleeper, that was a bit disruptive for my sleep. However, the pros outweigh the one con - so my recommendation still remains!

Perfekt läge mitt i centrum av Neapel. Lite knasigt med hissen som kostade 10 cent när man skulle åka efter klockan 16 men receptionen höll oss med mynt😄

Vi hade blivit lovade tre enkelsängar men fick en dubbelsäng och en bäddsoffa/enkelsäng i stället. När vi anlände fick vi besked att det skulle rättas till men det blev inget av det, resårmadrassen var dubbel så den hade ändå inte gått att dela. Det var stopp i badrumsvasken och en del myror, mycket små i badrummet men dom tog receptionisten hand om. Frukosten var superbra och allt man kunde önska sig fanns. Frukostvärdinnan var en härlig solstråle som såg till att frukosten blev en positiv upplevelse.

La camera assegnatamemi a al di sotto delle mie aspettative perchè le pareti erano sporche sia della stanza che del bagno. Da un palazzo così importante, con un arredo storico ed anche una galleria d'arte nel corridoio del 3 piano mi sarei aspettata una cura maggiore nella pulizia. La stanza era pulita quindi non mi riferisco a quella ma ad una cura generale dell'ambiente, il bagno datato. Mi sarei aspettata un livello più alto dei dettagli
