Great hotel been many a time good food and so close to the village of sneem
The night porter washing or drying knives and forks at 11 at night when your crying to have a quiet drink every night banging is not on.
Location and view from restaurant was good. Breakfast was good.
Really hard pillows.
Bellissimo hotel, ottima cena e colazione.
I loved it
I did not book a room on the lake
Ev friendly always a bonus polite staff and very helpful to we both really enjoyed our stay.
Really big room with good soundproofing. Sofa and comfortable armchair. Comfortable enormous bed with quality sheets. Bath as well as shower. Soap/shampoo etc very nice and not in little plastic bottles. Housekeeping was excellent. The room was spotless. Beautiful view from the breakfast room. Free electric vehicle charging really brilliant.
Lack of a fridge in room where there has obviously been one. The 'Mountain View' room should really be 'car park View' but that's just being mean. Breakfast was disorganised and staff looked unhappy and I felt sorry for them. Unclear instructions from greeter on arrival so that people were getting their self-serve breakfast and then waiting ages for tea and toast which was not self-service. The coffee was weak and tepid when it came. (Request coffee from the machine!). The breakfast itself especially the eggs looked tired and unappetising. Suggest doing smaller batches of scrambled egg?
Make sure to get a sea view room as it is amazing. Rooms are massive. The bar was very congenial: thank you for your beer expertise, Carlos!
Es war alles bestens, mit nur einem Manko...das Wasser auf dem Zimmer smeckte stark abgestanden und eklig...aber bei dem Rest alles bestens...
beautiful setting
Most beautiful and comfortable room I have ever stayed in! Beautiful views and very friendly staff.
Nothing
Nice location, nice breakfast
Main issue was the bar manager, short brown haired lady. When we walked into the bar she gave us an awful stare down as if to say what do these 2 want, far from a warm Irish welcome, it really irked us, had 1 drink and left.
Setting wonderful
the view is beautiful , we walked the river bank all the way into town. The breakfast was lovely lots of choice.
Modern clean comfortable and a stroll to the village
A shower curtain in the bath / shower rather than a glass pane. Breakfast table was very tight for space with four people.
Établissement propre, très grand, un personnel très accueillant et un petit déjeuner de qualités. Nous avons même pu avoir accès à notre chambre bien avant l’heure de Check in annoncer
Location, the views to die for, breakfast was really good value and quality.
The fact i had to leave.!
Beautiful scenery.
The camping bed that is offered if there are not enough beds in the room is hard enough to lay on and was not to my liking or my family’s liking.
The view is outstanding. Breakfast standard was good and bar food was good.
Outdated, in need of refurbishment. Asked for a room change as the room booked stated mountain view, but looked out on the carpark. The receptionist did accommodate us for an extra single night charge, to change to an actual mountain view.
Camera molto ampia e vista bellissima
This was a very peaceful, well presented place with a lovely view. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room clean and comfortable and the breakfasts sumptuous. The vegetable soup was the best I have ever tasted -I couldn’t eat anything else for dinner as a result but it was so nourishing!
Quite place away from noise
The menu and the food selection was not good at all. Also the glass were still dirty with lipstick mark. That should have been spotted when making the dinner table ready. Food variety is missing they need to introduce more options. Restaurants and food 2 star out of 5.
This is a Wonderful Hotel, in a Beautiful location, so quite and peaceful, with amazing views,! it was spotless clean, very friendly and helpful staff, the food was great, breakfast was plentiful from full Irish Breakfast to pastries and fresh fruit. The Village of Sneems just a few minutes away with lovely little shops. Would certainly return, 5 stars all the way!
Maybe a small fridge in the room, to keep drinks cold.
Location the room was spacious
No comment
Not value for money
Felt there was a lot of maintenance up grade needed no atmosphere in hotel very bear no fresh flowers
Nice big room! Very comfortable. Full-service hotel with all the amenities you’d expect. We ate dinner in the restaurant both nights. Very good and excellent desserts. Breakfast buffet was very nice and added great value to the stay. Parking was plentiful. Beautiful property with a deck for eating outside. It was nice to see so many families staying there plus many older couples like us. Elevators are awesome - very fast!
Staff was very friendly, room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and location was great for the places we wanted to visit.

breakfast was cold everybody leaving the cookers open
Asked for another coffee never came. This hotel is in great location. But feel it could do with a facelift its gone little bit shabby . Attended a wedding there 10 years ago and it was super but things are bit faded now.
It’s a modern hotel in a beautiful location. Food was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.
A swimming pool would have been brilliant.
Great location
Some dining staff grumpy and service very slow
It was located really close to Sneem and a lot of local sites of interest.
The double bed was two single beds pushed together with a double sheet over the top. The bar was outdated and uncomfortable and the staff were unhelpful.
Location and view . Staff excellent. Work hard to provide good service!
Dinner was fair . No water in room . No entertainment at nite.
One of my kids described this hotel as a bit like a nursing home. No atmosphere. Rooms extraordinarily hot and you can only open the windows a tiny bit and the air con was rubbish. Felt very claustrophobic. Breakfast was awful. We left halfway through and went elsewhere for decent coffee and food. For the price we had expected so much more. By far the worst ( and most expensive) hotel on our trip. Def would not recommend.
Amazing view, very helpful and pleasant staff at breakfast.
I booked a mountain view room, very difficult to see, even from side of room. Net curtains were torn in room 104
I can’t say enough about this hotel from the genuine lovely staff the food the location, absolutely excellent. We stayed in the luxury balcony room and oh my god it was stunning, spotless clean and what a view. The breakfast was so nice, with lots to choose from the buffet and also you could ask if it wasn’t out. The two people who stood out and went above and beyond for us was Mary and Samantha at breakfast, every morning they were so nice and made us feel so welcome from sitting us at the window to asking if we needed anything else and so friendly with everyone. One of the nicest hotels we have come across in a long time Can’t wait to stay again
Location, hospitality and efficiency of the staff
The barman wasn't very professional and pleasant to us on the evening we stayed there.
Die Küche (Frühstück und Abendessen) waren sehr gut.
We recently had our wedding reception at the Sneem Hotel and couldn't have asked for a better venue. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. We loved sneem from the first time we went there! Every time we went to sneem hotel there was always a relaxed atmosphere, it made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, and so many of our guests commented on how lovely the meal was. Louise was really helpful throughout the process anything that we wanted she was able to get it sorted for us. We have such wonderful memories of our wedding day, and Sneem Hotel played a huge part in making it so special. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue or simply a lovely place to stay. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our day unforgettable! Hotel is lovely and very clean. Staff were very helpful and so accommodating, nothing was a problem. The only disappointing thing was that it was advertised as having bar food and dining room food but when we asked to book the dining room we were told food was been served in bar and only bar menu available.
This hotel offers fantastic value for the price. While it might not be over-the-top luxury, it was absolutely perfect for what I needed. The staff were incredibly friendly and gave me a happy upgrade to a "sea view" room instead of the mountain view I booked. It is honestly more of a quiet lagoon look, but still incredibly beautiful. The continental breakfast buffet has a great selection of standard options, and the Liege waffles were a personal highlight. The patio area is an incredibly peaceful spot to enjoy your breakfast or just relax outside during the day. The basement gym is straightforward but functional. It has a treadmill, stationary bike, rowing machine, dumbbells, and a few cable machines for a full-body workout. Nothing fancy, but you can absolutely get a good session in. Highly recommend for an easy, peaceful, and excellently priced stay!
My daughter held her wedding here in July. Over 180 people attended. The hotel was brilliant, - the staff, the service, the food, spacious venue, great views, lovely rooms. I would highly recommend it as a wedding venue or to anyone visiting Kerry. Easy walking distance to the nearby scenic village of Sneem. Ann Burns
Hi this is our favourite hotel of all times had a brilliant stay for our anniversary View from our room amazing food first class and staff were brilliant so friendly Thank you for a fab 2 nights We can't wait to come back Margaret O Dwyer
We stayed here on Saturday with our 4year old daughter and we loved absolutely every moment of it ! The staff are all amazing and super friendly, the wagu beef burger with blue cheese was to die for and the night time entertainment was fabulous. A personal favourite of mine was Red the hotels red setter dog ! The views from the room and from the outdoor dining area will definitely recharge your batteries. Make sure you book a seaweed bath with Brendan it was such a tranquil experience and the baths are situated on site over looking the water. We cannot wait to come back !! Thank you to all at The Sneem Hotel 👏🏼
The view from the decking at the back of the Hotel is spectacular!!! We could’ve sat out there all day. Peaceful, tranquil setting.
Rooms were large but very basic. Outdated decor. No replacement of water after room clean despite it being a heatwave at the time of our stay. The service in the restaurant/bar was a bit slap dash, with the exception of one young lady who said she was from Sneem. She was attentive to all guests, lovely manner and very very efficient. The food was disappointing, my steak was well done & dry when I asked medium/rare.
Beautiful large rooms and the ones with a sea view area really worth paying for, just for the view. The hotel is nice and quiet just lacks a little atmosphere and the likes of the bathrooms could do with some modern tweaks like glass shower doors instead of the shower curtain that sticks to you. The food is really good the Thai yellow curry was the best I had ever, the staff are really helpful and polite, it is really close to the town with plenty of bars and restaurants, I would without a doubt return to the hotel it is a lovely place to base yourself for a few days to explore the area
Location
It’s a bit tired and could do with a makeover
This is a hotel that I would say was Soulless. But there were positives as well as negatives Positives: Big rooms with a very comfy bed and nice linen, along with air con which was much appreciated in the current heatwave. We had dinner on the patio with a beautiful view. Starters are HUGE and we ended up with way too much food that we didn't eat which was a waste of food and money. Lourdes, who was serving us was great. Negatives: Dining area in bar and breakfast room was basic and no ambience. Soulless! Breakfast was mediocre...fried eggs all hard and swimming in oil and toast was limp to say the least. Fruit salad was 90% apple and choice of one cheese and one cold cut if continental breakfast is your thing. Waitress was clearly not enjoying her day so overall a 3/10 for breakfast. Staff weren't rude but not over friendly. Overall VERY expensive for what you get and certainly not a memorable stay.
The Sneem Hotel is a fantastic property situated in the village of Sneem along the ring of Kerry. I've driven the ring of Kerry many times and this hotel is my favorite to stay at! The owner takes great care of his property and the staff take pride in their work. The views of the bay and mountains from the rooms and restaurant are unbeatable. The rooms are clean, comfortable, very spacious, and the food in the restaurant is superb! I've been here as a couple as well as with family and it's perfect for both. The self-catering apartments are a nice option for families who want a kitchenette and laundry. The hotel dog Red is a sweet presence! Also the seaweed baths on site did wonders for my husband's excema. This place is 10/10 and I highly recommend!
Had a lovely stay in the Sneem hotel for a family wedding. Staff were very helpful & friendly…felt like we had the hotel to ourselves for the wedding. Would recommend
Everything! Location Staff gave us an amazing upgrade

Beautiful hotel! Everyone was so welcoming! Our room was huge and so comfortable! Breakfast was delicious and our view was like an oil painting - gorgeous! And, we loved meeting Red the hotel’s Irish setter!
Perfect stay at Sneem Hotel - beautiful location , especially loved the warm welcome at reception on arrival and the friendly bar staff, excellent staff throughout this hotel - bedroom with lovely views, very comfortable, excellent facilities. Good choices at breakfast too.... lovely relaxing place to stay and unwind ....
Locatie en schoon fantastisch uitzicht
Iets gedateerd en geen mogelijkheid te sporten
Lovely location, great food, very friendly and helpful staff.

Location is great with ample parking and gorgeous grounds, bedrooms and bathrooms and restaurants are outdated and badly need modernizing and brought to higher standards. Bed was huge but new mattress was needed. The hotel was very quiet when we were there but there was no atmosphere so we went up to the village which is great!
Too expensive for family for one night
Too expensive
We had our wedding at Sneem Hotel in May, and the only way to describe the entire weekend is simply perfect. We were incredibly lucky to have beautiful weather, which made the stunning surroundings of Sneem and the hotel even more special. Our guests travelled from all over Ireland and from around the world, and so many of them commented on how breathtaking both the hotel and Sneem village were. For many, it was their first visit to Kerry, and they couldn't believe how beautiful the location was. From the very beginning, Louise was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Planning a wedding from Australia could have been stressful, but she made the entire process so easy. Nothing was ever too big or too small, and she was always just a phone call or message away. Her support, professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding. She truly went above and beyond for us, especially when we had a last-minute reception music cancellation just days before the wedding. Louise immediately stepped in and helped us find a replacement, taking so much stress off our shoulders. The feedback from our guests was overwhelmingly positive. Everyone spoke so highly of the hotel, the exceptional staff and the incredible food. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, friendly and genuinely invested in making our weekend special. The small details and thoughtful touches throughout the hotel did not go unnoticed and were commented on by so many of our family and friends. We honestly could not have asked for a better venue. Sneem Hotel exceeded all of our expectations and gave us the wedding weekend we had always dreamed of. We would highly recommend it to any couple looking for a truly special wedding venue. It was everything we hoped for and so much more.
Lovely hotel, staff were very friendly and professional. Room was very large and bed comfortable. Lots of seats at reception to relax and chat/read. View from the back of the hotel was stunning with a lovely small forest walk to bring you into the village. Few minutes walk to village
The location was great, very relaxing and the views were incredible
The staff were very rude. We were sat in the bar for 20 minutes only family there and had to ask could we get tea and coffee while they were cleaning a table beside me. The older staff werw extremely rude to the younger waiters and ir was made very noticeable to us all. This unfortunately tainted this trip for us and we wont be returning
