Golden's Cove Apartments at Sneem Hotel

Fabulous location, the apartments are clean and comfortable and only 5-10 minutes walk from the village, we brought our dog and he loved it!

Beautiful location within walking distance of sneem. Good location for further day trips.

Stayed here about 19years ago still the same brown sofas, badly need updating as low and uncomfortable.

Fantastyczne położony obiekt nad brzegiem zatoki. Świetne miejsce wypadowe na wycieczki w Killarney National Park, przepiękne plaże w okolicy. Ogromnym plusem pralka z suszarką o apartamencie.

Słabo wyposażona kuchnia w naczynia. Brakowało mi dużej miski i dużego garnka.

Les photos du site ne ressemblent pas à l'appartement. C'était propre mais il y avait le minimum. De vieux sofas. Pour 4 personnes, 4 verres, 4 assiettes, 4 couverts. Pas de sel, poivre. Etc.

Clean, very spacious and unbelievable views

Toilet didn't flush properly and shower didn't drain very well.

On avait demandé 4 lits simples et nous avons eu 1 lit pour un couple et 2 lits simples. L'équipement était minimaliste : 4 couverts, 4 assiettes, 4 tasses, bref aucune possibilité de préparer à manger sans avoir à laver des couteaux ou assiettes. Bref, c'était cher et la qualité n'a pas été au rendez-vous.

Great food lovely staff

Self-catering so took provisions, but there was a well-equipped kitchen in the apartment with complimentary tea, coffee, milk, etc. The take-away menu was reasonably priced and easy to order and collect.

Too many dogs - not pleasant to see dogs "performing" on the grass outside the windows. Not keen on being barked at when returning to the apartment. Would be good to be advised about this in advance and to know if dogs had been permitted in the apartment.

Spacious apartment, with lovely surroundings. Very friendly staff., and overall good location. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

Slightly limited options in terms of kitchen utilities; personally I would have preferred not having to use the dishwasher for a single plate and cup...

Apartments were lovely, very well equipped. Beds very comfortable. Very quiet location.

We were up 4 flights of stairs, no lift. In future I'd ask for a first floor apartment.

Location was great and the facilities. Apartment had everything we needed. Fully stocked kitchen, fridge and dishwasher. The area was nice and quiet and the staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to village.

I requested a ground floor apartment for mobility for older guests. I found the customer service was excellent. Beautiful spacious apartment, lovely and warm. I loved the seaweed bath also.

Lovely place with awesome views. Nice walkways around the hotel including the lovely "FairyTrail". Great food at the restaurant. Free EV charging. An awesome stay.

Apartment looked a little dated in some places. Washing machine was extremely loud, not all hobs of the stove did work.

The views from the apartment were absolutely stunning! Lovely walk around a cove and shops, bars and restaurants only a short drive or walk! 2 bedrooms with ample space. TV in the second bedroom which was a pleasant surprise. So many places to visit from this location such as Sneem and the Sneem seaweed baths, Kenmare, Killarney, Dingle, Tralee and we also visited the maritime museum in Limerick! Amazing short break.

The apartment was spacious , beautiful view from the balcony . Next to the hotel for easy access for facilities. Beds were very clean and comfortable. Towels lovely and soft .

The smell that remained from the carpet cleaner . The smoke alarm was very easily triggered but there was advice on how to easily turn it off.

Beautiful location and walking distance from the village. The grounds of the hotel are beautifully maintained and in keeping with their natural surroundings. Very helpful and pleasant staff .

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, they could not have been more helpful. We loved meeting Red, the dog! Our apartment was clean, spacious, with amazing views. It had everything we needed.

The apartment kitchen was badly stocked with kitchen utensils

I was able to collect the keys from reception from a very nice welcoming lady. She was able to answer all my questions about the bedroom configuration and when I explained it was advertised wrong, she was willing to change our apartment but we were happy with it so she immediately had a roll in bed sent over to us. I have no complaints they did everything to make our stay good and comfortable. We have stayed a few times in the hotel and loved it also.

The apartment was advertised as having a double and a single bed in both bedrooms but there was only a double in one and two singles in the other.

It would have been nice to have had cleaning equipment / materials and shampoos conditioners etc. available.

Size of the apt

No power for one hour when we arrived. Restaurant was nowhere near 4 start hotel standard...big bar and TV on

The small walks around the hotel were very enjoyable.

Bar food was not very impressive.

Modern and comfortable apartments. Great place to explore the Skellig Ring without driving too much. Sneem is cute with nice restaurants and a supermarket. I recommend D O'Shea Bar for eating.

The kitchen could be better equipped. Cleaning utensils were missing.

The appartment was clean, confortable and very big. The two bathrooms were big, clean and the shower was great. We could have a breakfast in the hotel, and the quality and variety was really nice.

Kitchen short of utensils. Missing lids from saucepans. Breakfast coffee not hot enough. (Perhaps pots not heated with boiling water before being filled?)

Clean, comfortable beds, had everything we needed and when we asked for a bathmat and hairdryer they were brought immediately. Good breakfast. Helpful and courteous staff.

TV small and lacked a menu. Booking.com assured all apartments sea view but ground floor didn't due to trees. Also Booking.com hadn't reserved; fortunately the hotel had an apartment.

Location was super. Apartments were spacious and spotless.

The food in the restaurant was pricy and underwhelming. We bought a voucher for afternoon tea and when I went to book I was told they weren't offering afternoon tea.

Location: it was in walking distance to the village, but it was not possible to swim in the sea. Receptionist had no clue about breakfast options and times.

The apartments are very suitable for families. We had a ground floor apartment which was ideal as we have children aged 6,4,2. There was plenty space in the apartment. There was lots to do around the hotel grounds with the fairy trail and other trails from the hotel into the village of Sneem. We enjoyed the beautiful views. We had dinner on a few occasions in the hotel which was top quality. The staff were very friendly and lovely to our children.

The only thing I feel the hotel is lacking is a swimming pool. It would be a good addition to the hotel at some stage. One evening for dinner, we were kept waiting for an hour before we got our meal. The staff apologised but it was really not acceptable due to the young age of our children. I also feel the apartments should be serviced more frequently. I had to ring on 2 occasions to ask for towels and toilet roll (which was brought to us straight away) but I felt we should not have had to make a phone call if the apartments were serviced regularly enough. Our stay was a week long.

The apartments needed some maintenance. Lamps not working in bedrooms. Shower head in the main bathroom cracked water leaking.

In need of modernisation. Considering paid€750 for wkd we could have received a welcome pack ie milk bread , toiletries etc as in gleneagle apts !!!

Beautiful location with excellent View of Kenmare bay and the mountains. A few minutes walk from Sneem village with several decent dining options. Good parking. Nice walks and well maintained grounds. Easy check in/out.

Sound proofing is not great between bedrooms. Couches would benefit from cushions for comfort. Appliances including TVs are dated. Only one channel on TV in bedroom. (Apt 17) Broken and cracked tiles on stairwell need attention.

Spacious and quiet environment . Plenty of parking for guests. Helpful front desk service on checking in and not forgetting the friendly hotel dog that comes by every evening.

Paying higher than the usual rate. Black PVC sofa looks dated.

I loves the location, it's beautiful. Apartments are really clean and so comfortable.

I didn't really like the food in the restaurant, I'm not saying it was bad it just wasn't for me.

I loved the very spacious apartment lovely soft towels nice cotton bed linen etc! It was great that tea coffee sugar & milk were there when arrived …that was an added bonus! Love the fact that the apartment is close to the hotel &also loved the short walk into Sneem!

As we travelled from overseas I would have liked there to be a hairdryer available! It is a bulky item to pack! We had torn curtains in the bedroom & also stains on the carpet in the sitting area….it would be so much better if that area was tiled all the way to the kitchen! We bought delicious soda bread but there was no bread knife to cut it!

Breakfast had very good choices,plenty of wholesome food,gluten free bread available, staff friendly courteous and attentive..fabulous view from dining room and lovely outdoor terrace overlooking Kenmare Bay

Could have had more pops of colour in apartments which were very good quality and spacious. A dish washing scrub or more Delph if we were to use the dish washing machine.

location is perfect on the beach private and safety all good for this price ,we happy after weekend . i think we come back to this property

can by little cleaner and furniture in living room verry uncomfortable and outside be handy to have some barbecue spot all rest of is very good

Lovely apartments. Clean, roomy, very central and hotel is next door so very convenient. Good value for money.

We were checked in by a lovely young guy at reception (Saturday - 4pm approx.). He was helpful and efficient. We asked to book tickets for a show that was on in the hotel that night. However just as we were paying for the tickets a female receptionist started giving out to him in front of everybody at reception about how he was taking our details for the show. She was really rude and nasty to him. Totally unnecessary and very unprofessional.

Beautiful view from balcony. Enjoyed seaweed baths on the shore. Did not use the hotel while we stayed in the adjacent apartments. Really good value and based in thr village of Sneem.
