Ganz schlechte Matratzen, Bad durchaus renovierbedürftig, überteuerte Minibar (Wasser 3 Euro, kleines Bier 5 Euro), Last but not least, an Wucher grenzende Gebühr zum Laden des E-Bike pro Tag und Fahrrad 4 Euro, in Summe 48 Euro (Kosten Strom in IT ca max 40 Cent pro Komplettladung) Eines Hauses das sich als außergewöhnlich mit 4 Sternen rühmt, absolut unwürdig. Und außerdem wird bei booking com erwähnt alles mit Steuern Gebühren bezahlt. Aber es fielen erneut 40 Euro Kurtaxe an. Insgesamt schon überteuert.

A peaceful oasis in the mountains. This is truly a gem of a hotel. Beautiful rooms, lovely pool. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. One of our favourite places to stay.

The property is a unique and historic gem in an idyllic location. Being a former convent, it exudes an aura of peace surrounded by nature. Views of the famed Christ Redeemer statue are everywhere. The friendly staff welcomed us with a refreshment and provided details about the amenities, as well as an excellent dinner recommendation. My room was lovely and quiet, with an outdoor patio that overlooked the fairytale-like town. The pool area is its crowning jewel -- relaxing, beautiful with spectacular mountain views. I enjoyed the satisfying breakfast buffet, with eggs made to order. The walk to town takes barely 10 minutes. Being a mountain town, there are uneven steps and inclines. So normal caution is advised. I also loved being surrounded by the hotel's tasteful collection of antiques and folkloric art. La Locanda is ideal for rest and rejuvenation.

Non mi è, purtroppo, piaciuta affatto la prima colazione. Non c'era prosciutto, formaggio, uova, bacon e quant'altro sarebbe necessario in un hotel che definirei almeno pretenzioso. Immagino che lo stesso valga anche per la clientela straniera. Non si possono somministrare fettine di prosciutto cotto quadrare e prive di sapore alcuno. Molta perplessità insomma. La colazione non era certo all'altezza della magia del luogo

Like many properties in this beautiful, hilly area, there are some stairs to navigate. While we aren't usually fans of stairs, they are wide and not steep at all, which made them very manageable and easy to use.

Eine wirklich außergewöhnlich schöne Unterkunft mit einer tollen, sehr persönlichen Betreuung. Das gesamte Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam – man fühlt sich rundum gut aufgehoben. Besonders begeistert haben uns der wunderschöne Poolbereich und der Garten, den wir regelmäßig genutzt haben. Durch die ruhige und schattige Lage ist der Garten perfekt zum Entspannen. Die Lage am Berg ist traumhaft. Vom Pool aus hat man sogar einen tollen Blick auf die Christusstatue von Maratea. Das Hotel selbst ist ein ehemaliges Kloster, was man auch heute noch wunderbar spürt: Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr verwinkelt, charmant und voller kleiner Ecken, sodass es immer wieder etwas Neues zu entdecken gibt. Uns hat genau das besonders gut gefallen. Auch die Poolbar haben wir regelmäßig genutzt – das gesamte Angebot der Unterkunft ist wirklich hervorragend. Das Frühstück war für italienische Verhältnisse sehr abwechslungsreich und gut.

Eigentlich gibt es für uns keinen wirklichen Kritikpunkt. Durch die Lage am Berg sind natürlich einige Stufen zu bewältigen, und auch innerhalb des ehemaligen Klosters kann man aufgrund der verwinkelten Bauweise anfangs etwas die Orientierung verlieren. Beides hat uns allerdings überhaupt nicht gestört und gehört für uns zum besonderen Charakter der Unterkunft. Wer darauf Wert legt, sollte sich dessen vor der Buchung einfach bewusst sein.

La struttura è molto ben tenuta. Lo staff eccezionale sempre disponibile. La proprietaria ed il figlio erano sempre presenti in struttura e sempre disponibili per qualsiasi esigenza. Dispongono di vari park auto e di un servizio di car valet molto efficiente. La piscina sempre tenuta bene ed il servizio al bar/rist della stessa(solo piatti freddi) disponibile fino alle 15:30. La posizione dell' hotel molto vicina al centro storico e disponendo del park gratuito dell'hotel è stato molto facile spostarsi in auto sapendo che al rientro avevi il park garantito a poco piu di 100 mt dall'hotel.

Un très bel établissement avec piscine très agréable, jacuzzi (à vérifier son bon fonctionnement), une décoration soignée. Un petit déjeuner très complet mais qui a perdu au fil des jours sa très grande variété (moins de vienoiseries, par exemple) mais qui est resté très correct.

Le personnel est certes aimable mais était ce parce que c'était la fin de la saison estivale, on a ressenti un manque certain d'enthousiasme et de dynamisme...

La struttura è un vecchio convento ed è bellissimo, ristrutturato con attenzione ai dettagli e con accenni arabeggianti , molto affascinante mi è piaciuto molto l’accoglienza sapere che qualcuno ti attende appena arrivi c’era già una persona ad aspettarci per i bagagli, ci hanno portato la macchina al parcheggio, e offerto un drink di benvenuto, La posizione è strategica comoda per il paese , bellissima piscina e alzando lo sguardo, vedevi il Cristo di Maratea

Bellissima struttura di pregio; un convento ristrutturato con sobrietà ed elegana, dove staccare la spina in tutta tranquillità. Accoglienza impeccabile, camera pulitissima e struttura che garantisce quanto promesso. Unica cosa a cui fare attenzione: le indicazioni del navigatore che portano a una strada, solo per residenti, ripidissima che ha messo alla prova le mie capacità di guida della moto. Ovviamente non dipende dalla struttura e lo staff mi ha indirizzato verso la strada più comoda. Infine spazio piscina per il totale relax, anch'esso di primissimo livello. Tutto perfetto.

La struttura si trova in un’ottima posizione,con una splendida vista..piscina e idromassaggio sono il fiore all’occhiello della location,per passare una giornata all’insegna del relax.Avremmo preferito una stanza con una vista migliore,ma era pulita e con bagno grande e moderno.Mettono a disposizione anche i teli per la piscina durante il soggiorno.Lo staff accogliente e molto disponibile,ci ha dato consigli e indicazioni..al momento della partenza sono andati a prenderci la macchina e l’hanno portata davanti alla struttura per non scendere con i bagagli.Davvero un posto in cui tornare.La distanza dal centro è davvero molto breve e il parcheggio a disposizione è comodissimo.

Ci sono circa 40 gradini per salire dal parcheggio all’hotel,inevitabile vista la posizione.

The location is simply magical — nestled in the historic centre of Maratea with lovely views and a sense of quiet elegance. Being a former monastery, the architecture involves quite a few stairs, some of them fairly demanding. This is something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues, but for us it was part of the character of the place.

We stayed two night at the La Locanda Delle Donne Monache on "the top" of the city of Maratea. We really enjoyed the place, and especially the outdoor area with sunbeds and swimming pool. The room was nice with a small private terrace. A good breakfast, to be enjoyed next to the pool area. Walking distance to the city centre with shops and a broad range of restaurants and pizzerias. Very friendly and helpful staffs, including parking the car and helping out with the luggage.

The beds were a bit hard for our taste (by far the hardest of 6 places we stayed on this vacation). The hotel has a lot of levels and stairs and no elevator, no problem for us, but you kind of need to be fit and have good legs to get from the lower floor (were we stayed) and 4-5 levels up to the reception.

Simply amazing! Breakfast was great too. Incredible pool. We loved it

hard to describe this place - it is simply stunning!! The building itself with all the nooks and crannies, the gorgeous pool in the lush garden, the view over the old town...The fact that there is safe parking, which is actually not that hard to access (sometimes, a place will have parking, but it's tough to even get there). The staff were all outstanding, too. It's a bit more than I normally spend, but it was absolutely 100% worth it, and we got a much appreciated upgrade (which was great, bc the room we had booked would have been quite small for us and our two large suitcases. It seems like they give upgrades quite often, when they are available). I would have loved to stay there for longer!!

There was nothing I didn't like, except maybe we would have had dinner there if they had a restaurant that serves evening meals (they do a nice breakfast buffet, and you can also order from a light lunch menu, which we didn't do). In my opinion, a restaurant isn't really needed as there is a number of places within easy walking distance. Just be aware that the location requires quite a few steps down to the old town and back up - if you are not reasonably mobile, this is probably not the best location for you!

This was our first trip to Italy, and it was amazing! Thanks this wonderful hotel for making our vacation unforgettable. The hotel has a fantastic location in the upper part of the city, offering breathtaking views of Maratea. We enjoyed swimming in the pool overlooking the old town, spending time in the luxurious garden with beautiful flowers, and admiring the unique collectibles that decorate the hotel. This hotel resembles a true museum, and we were very pleased. The breakfast was superb, with delicious cappuccino and tiramisu served just like in a restaurant. The staff was very welcoming. We were traveling with a dog, and our little friend was also greeted warmly. Upon our arrival, a bowl and treats were prepared for our dog in our room. The ancient city of Maratea itself, which is 1,300 years old, amazed us with its beauty and authenticity. The world's second-largest statue of Jesus Christ towers over the city and right above the hotel, and we had a chance to visit it. I can't even describe how grandiose it is! Every day, we took the city bus to the beautiful beach. Our vacation was simply unforgettable this summer in Italy❤️

Tutto bene, dal check in , gentilezza del personale, a tutto l' ambiente dell' albergo fino alla stanza che era bellissima, pulitissima, molto spaziosa . Colazione molto buona , ottimo caffè e cappuccino. Bellissima anche la piscina. Parcheggio privato gratuito un po scomodo per via delle scale ma il personale è prontissimo a portare la macchina al/dal parcheggio.

Durante il nostro soggiorno non abbiamo trovato motivo di lamentarci di niente.

We were offered a free upgrade which was much appreciated! Our room was easy to get to and had a balcony with a beautiful view on the charming old town below. Bed was very comfortable, large bathroom & shower was really nice, lots of hot water. Staff was very helpful regarding dining suggestions within walking distance. Breakfast was wonderful with many choices, by the poolside & exterior lounge areas.. Staff was very helpful with luggage & valet parking.

We missed the hotel entrance driving up the steep access road & came back, but was a one way road! The road is narrow so there's not much space to unload luggage. Unfortunately the church facade that backs up on the pool was under restoration which disturbed the view slightly, but no fault to the hotel. It must certainly be beautiful once completed.

Location ristrutturata con molto buon gusto in ottima posizione nel centro storico di Maratea. Immersa nel silenzio, colpisce per gli ottimi servizi sia in camera che in tutta la struttura.

Per com’è strutturata, ci sono molte scale che uniscono le varie parti dell’hotel ed inizialmente bisogna ricordarsi la strada corretta per tornare in camera, ma appena ci si ricorda la via giusta, anche questo particolare diventa un punto a favore per addentrarsi nello spirito della locanda ristrutturata

Das Hotel war perfekt in jeder Beziehung. Bei uns leider nur für eine Nacht, deshalb nur ein kleines Zimmer, aber alles sehr io. Die Lage ist ruhig, aber ein netter Spaziergang bis zum kleinen Zentrum. Frühstück sehr ansprechend, Personal aufmerksam und alles mit einem wunderbaren Blick zum Garten. Pool wunderbar und alles sehr gepflegt sehr schön ausgestattet.

Our suite with a private terrace was very nice and plenty of space. The restaurant/bar staff were very attentive. Our host, Carlo, gave us excellent suggestions for the nearby beaches. The valet who parked our car was a welcome addition.

Too many stairs!!! If you cannot manage 50 stairs you should stay elsewhere

Wonderful location over Maratea. Staff were great at organising taxis, room upgrades etc. Breakfast was great, healthy with amazing coffee. Lovely pool and wonderfully comfy loungers.

A little noise from the plumbing from the neighbouring room but not enough to disturb. A really great place to stay.
