Too small room perhaps was a single double use.

We had been hiking for 2 weeks in Switzerland and scheduled the Grand Hotel du Lac at the end of our trip for relaxing before the flight home. It delivered in every way. We left feeling pampered. Thank you

Es war alles exquisit! Das Personal war ausgesprochen zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Die Lage war perfekt, man konnte von der Terrasse direkt die Promenade erreichen. Ein sehr schöner Ort, um ein paar Tage abzuschalten. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen!

Dieses Feld ist hier überflüssig, es war alles top!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Zimmer war sehr schön, gepflegt und sauber und bot einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf den Genfersee. Besonders gefallen haben uns auch die schöne Terrasse und Veranda sowie die gepflegte Gartenanlage. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Beim Frühstück erwartete uns eine reichhaltige Auswahl, und die Lage direkt an der wunderschönen Promenade von Vevey ist einfach ideal. Ein sehr schönes Hotel in bester Lage, das wir gerne weiterempfehlen, wir kommen gerne wieder!

L’espace piscine n’est pas très agréable, la piscine n’est pas chauffée ou pas assez chauffée et elle n’est pas très belle Chambre supérieure côté ville qui donne sur rond point donc assez bruyant en journée

Nice, quite , romantic

Luxe, calme, charme et intimité. L'hôtel du Lac a gardé un cadre historique, rénové avec goût , l'accueil est convivial, avec la bonne distance, et la restauration excellente.

The Grand Hotel du Lac is expensive but the beautiful location and views, quality of service, rooms and food did not disappoint. The swimming pool is a little smaller than anticipated but it is so close to Lake Geneva that, if you want more than just a 'quick dip', it is easy to swim in the lake. A very enjoyable couple of days.

The general vibe of the hotel is quite, sophisticated and relaxed. However, the Buddha Beach Bar, which serves less formal food played music (not a problem) but with a heavy, banging, base beat - not at all in keeping with the hotel and not conducive to relaxing by the pool. My room also overlooked this bar which could have been incredibly annoying but I have to say that brilliant double glazing meant it wasn't a problem in the room - just by the pool!

Precisamente eso es lo que más me gustó del hotel, una profusa decoración de hotel señorial de hace un siglo, unas salas maravillosas, una galeria para cenas y desayunos excepcional, una salida al paseo del lago a traves de jardin que le da una elegancia muy especial. El Grand Hotel du Lac es uno de los pocos hoteles que han sabido conservar ese maravilloso ambiente de lujo decadente. Además, el desayuno es espectacular, cuidan cada detalle; el restaurante da muy bien de cenar y dispone de una pequeña piscina al aire libre muy agradable.

Pedimos una suite junior con vistas al lago y capacidad para tres adultos. Aunque la llaman suite junior, no es mucho mayor q una habitacional normal (el baño sí es mas grande) y el tercer adulto dispone de una cama supletoria, mucho peor que las otras dos, puesta en una esquina de la que tienen que retirar las mesas y sillas q se amontonan en la otra esquina. Eso es una habitación doble con una cama supletoria, no una habitación para tres adultos. Además, dada la situación de la habitación en un extremo del edificio, las vistas al lago eran limitadas, se veían más los arboles y el parking

Excellent location, clean and luxurious

Breakfast service was sub standard for a 5 star hotel.

Very nicely decorated. Great location.

Service was spotty. In the tiny pool there is no service and it was hard to get Marina staff to serve us a drink. Buda Bar only opens at 4:30PM. No doorman, had to carry bags when leaving. The mismatch between decor and service was a bit odd.

Beautiful hotel, exquisitely decorated but not overly stuffy feeling. Great location on the lake. Good spa. Lovely staff.

I booked a lake view room not knowing it was smaller and had a queen size bed. I guess I overlooked it. The view was nice, but in my opinion not worth the tiny room. They switched us to a bigger city view room with a king size bed. The shower was in a bathtub and while the pressure was good, I slipped getting out so be careful. Last comment is about the ac. It works but you have to ask them to change the limit in the system. Otherwise it was 23c, too hot for me. The rest of the hotel was rather warm.

Tolle Lage, tolle Einrichtung, feines Frühstück, ingesamt tolles Hotel.

Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, das Hotelzimmer sehr schön. Wir sind mit den E-Bikes angereist. Hier gibt es noch keine Möglichkeit, das Bike in einem Keller mit Lademöglichkeit unterzubringen.

Parkmöglichkeit für E-Bikes.

This hotel was incredible. Five stars and more. So clean and the staff couldn’t more if they tired. The food was first class. The location was perfect!

The spa facilities were not great only treatments available and a sauna/shower. But this wouldn’t stop me staying here again.

Le bâtiment est magnifique, l’atmosphère est magique, le personnel est irréprochable et le paysage est exceptionnel.

The hotel is beautiful, the gardens and the pool are so comfortable not to forget both of the restaurants they are amazing. The location of the hotel is great the best I would say. the staff is so nice we feel like at home with family.

Lage perfekt! Frühstück 45 Franken auch etwa teuer aber sehr gut, also rechtfertigt den Preis. Abendessen auf der Veranda ein Genuss.

Parken ist mit 40 Franken pro Tag etwas teuer, ansonsten alles top!

Wonderful. Best hotel in vevey

Inadmissible pour un hôtel 5 étoiles de ne pas vérifier que la clim fonctionne à notre arrivée. Il faisait 27°C dans la chambre alors qu'il en faisait 20°C dehors. Nous avons ouvert les fenêtres mais impossible de dormir avec les bruits des bus et des passants. L'hôtel nous a changé de chambre mais il fasait 26°C dans l'autre chambre. Nous avons payé 350chf pour une chambre minuscule, avec vue sur la rue, sans petit déjeuner. Un supplément de 50chf pour le chien. C'était notre nuit de noce pour notre mariage civil. Bien gâché.

The staff went the extra mile to make sure our experience was excellent. From the welcome doorman, the reception staff to food and beverage team, all really looked after us.

No doubt a five star experience except for the poor soundproofing due to this being a historic building. If you can live with this, it‘s perfection.

Everything lack. Lack of space in spa-parking-lobby-restaurants-terrace-bathroom, just one lift you wait, lack of staff skills, of cleaning, no pool inside spa. Not enough balcony. Lack of luxury- choice- tranquillity. Cheap services but expensive prices not justified. It's not an unique experience. We didn't expect perfection or zany dw;rf tossing. But at least excellence.

Ein traumhaft schönes, freundliches Hotel mit einem ausgezeichneten Service. Alles sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, ein richtiger Wohlfühlort direkt am See und der Uferpromenade und Blick auf die schneebedeckten Alpen.

Zum Frühstück kam ein junger Mann mit Muscleshirt. Ich sagte dass ich von einem Hotel dieses Ranges mehr Etikette erwartet hätte. Die überraschte mich äußerst positiv. Man hat den Gast gebeten, das Hotel zu verlassen. Chapeau!

Room was warm (overheated?) but rest aspects were very good so it did not bother us much and we would return whenever coming back to this area.

Our Family stayed at Grand Hotel du lac and had a lovely time. The hotel was beautiful, the location was excellent and the staff were truly the exceptional. Patrick made our morning breakfasts a memorable and special experience. His genuine kindness was felt deeply. The reception staff were also very helpful in providing wonderful tips and recommendations for things to do, places to eat and what transportation was best. We had a wonderful experience overall!
