It is la vielle dame, the old lady od Palermo hotel institutions. Its location is fantastic.

The hotel needs renovation, its bathrooms are already leaving something to be desired. The use of the gym should be paid additionaly, which is difficult to accept.We like the wallet service, ideal for tourists. Even the breakfast could be improved, the ham was of a mediocre quality, as well as sausages.

The room was lovely and exceeded- spacious and clean with a well equipped bathroom. The shower was great too. We had reflexology in the spa and the lady who did it was amazing - the best reflexology we have ever had. The staff generally were friendly and helpful.

The common parts of the hotel are desperately in need of updating. As you enter, the carpet is worn and filthy and does not make a good first impression. The lounge area is old fashioned and feels very unloved and rather sad. The breakfast room is appalling and like something from the 1970's - the breakfast too was rather disappointing. We just had the coffee and left to go elsewhere.

Am avut o experiență foarte plăcută la acest hotel și m-am simțit excelent pe toată durata șederii. Personalul a fost foarte amabil, atent și primitor, iar atmosfera a fost una relaxantă și plăcută. Camera a fost curată, confortabilă și bine întreținută, iar serviciile au fost peste așteptările mele. Totul a fost organizat foarte bine, de la cazare până la plecare. Se vede că se pune accent pe confortul și satisfacția oaspeților. Cu siguranță voi reveni cu drag și recomand acest hotel tuturor celor care își doresc o ședere plăcută, liniștită și fără griji. Mulțumesc întregii echipe pentru ospitalitate! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Grand Hotel Wagner. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, and the hotel bar and lobby are a great place to start an evening with a good drink.

Oltre alla posizione, alla camera gradevole, silenziosa e pulita, oltre al letto comodissimo ed alla colazione, ho apprezzato tantissimo l'attenzione del personale che, tra l'altro, a fronte di un piccolo inconveniente in cui sono incorso durante il soggiorno e di cui mi sono reso conto in seguito, si è dimostrato impeccabile per professionalità e cortesia.

Staff was great, breakfast was top and the feel of the hotel was what we looking for. The location was also very close to most attractions and also easy to come by car and leave.

Great hotel at the very centre of Palermo. Easy to walk anywhere - never used taxi for 4 days. High standards of cleaning. Very nice breakfast (prosecco made it even quite special). Room was quite spacey - even despite there were 3 of us.

Está muy bien ubicado, cerca del centro histórico y de las avenidas de la parte más moderna de Palermo. El hotel cuenta con servicio de ballet parking muy conveniente. El personal es muy amable y nos dieron buenas recomendaciones de lugares. Tiene un buen sauna que pude utilizar en el Momento que lo pedí. Desayuno bufet muy completo

La struttura e' molto bella e rifinita, la camera bella e accogliente, il personsle molto professionale, attento e cortese; la colazione molto varia e di qualita'.

La posizione non e' centralissima ma comunque il centro e' raggiungibile a piedi on pochi minuti; in generale e' una bella struttura ma forse sarebbe piu' corretto assegnare 4stelle o 4 stelle Superior piuttosto che 5 stelle.

The Hotel is Beautiful! Very well located with really good restaurants close by.The staff were all very helpful and pleasant 😀 Breakfast was excellent with a selection of hot snd cold dishes 😋 We got the hotel taxi transfer from the airport as our flight arrived in evening. The driver met us in arrivals.

ארוחת הבקר הייתה טובה מאד , טעימה ,עשירה ומגוונת.צוות המלון בכל המקומות (ארוחת בקר , קבלה , בר , בל בוי ועוד) היו כולם אדיבים וחייכנים ונתנו לנו שירות מעולה.המיקום הוא כמובטח מרכזי מאד , במרחק כמה מאות מטרים ממה שצריך ואפילו החום הכבד לא מנע מאתנו ללכת ברגל למסעדות ולקניות.העיצוב של המלון מקסים , נראה מלפני 100 שנה אבל הכל במצב תחזוקה מעולה.

בכניסה למלון חייבים לעלות מדרגות , לא יודע אם יש פתרון לנכים (לא היה רלבנטי לנו ). החדרים , גם הרגילים , מרווחים אבל אני הייתי בתפוסת יחיד בחדר שמוגדר זוגי (בקומת הלובי) והוא היה קטן יותר

Wat een top hotel, midden in het hart van Palermo. We hebben gebruik gemaakt van de valetparking en werden hartelijk ontvangen. De kamer was mooi, schoon, met airco, een heerlijk bed en hele fijne badkamer met douche. Het personeel was vriendelijk, het ontbijt heel uitgebreid, lekker iets drinken in de bar na het struinen door de warme stad. Een oase van rust. Ook genoeg restaurants voor lunch en diner op loopafstand.

Er was niets op aan te merken.

Die zentrale Lage war sehr angenehm, und das Frühstück hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer war groß, jedoch leider sehr dunkel, da das Fenster in einen kleinen, wenig ansprechenden Innenhof zeigte, wodurch man es kaum öffnen konnte.

Lo staff è stato molto gentile e simpatico. Ci ha coccolato dal nostro arrivo fino alla partenza. Francesco ci ha fatto ottimi caffè ed è stato celere nella preparazione della consumazione in camera che abbiamo ordinato. Davide, con la sua simpatia, ci ha dato molte indicazioni sugli itinerari possibili. La struttura è veramente bella e pronta a soddisfare ogni richiesta in breve tempo. Assolutamente un hotel da consigliare.

I had an amazing stay at the Grand Hotel Wagner. The hotel is truly grand and beautifully classic, with a wonderful vintage elegance. The team was exceptionally kind, attentive and welcoming throughout my stay. If I visit Palermo again, I would definitely choose the Grand Hotel Wagner again. A beautiful and memorable experience!

Excellent central location. Elegant and classy hotel. Old school decor won’t be to everyone’s taste but we loved it. Excellent buffet breakfast with all you could want on offer. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Very good air conditioning. Brilliant value for money.

Unser Aufenthalt im Grand Hotel Wagner war von Anfang bis Ende einfach perfekt. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr willkommen und bestens umsorgt gefühlt. Schon bei der Ankunft war der Service hervorragend: Unser Auto wurde direkt geparkt und unser Gepäck wurde selbstverständlich bis auf das Zimmer gebracht. Überhaupt waren alle Mitarbeiter durchweg unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Das gesamte Hotel sowie unser Zimmer waren sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Zimmer bot alles, was man sich für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt wünscht – es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Auswahl war mehr als ausreichend und es war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Davide, der einfach außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich war. Er hat unseren Aufenthalt mit seiner sympathischen und zuvorkommenden Art noch besonderer gemacht. Vielen Dank dafür! Ein weiterer großer Pluspunkt ist die zentrale Lage. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und Geschäfte sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar, sodass man Palermo wunderbar erkunden kann. Alles in allem stimmt hier einfach das Gesamtpaket: Service, Sauberkeit, Komfort, Lage und vor allem das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir würden das Grand Hotel Wagner jederzeit wieder buchen und können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für diesen wunderschönen Aufenthalt!

L’établissement est vraiment magnifique, bien situé en centre ville, le parking (payant 25€) est extrêmement pratique avec son service de voiturier. Le personnel était vraiment serviable, le rapport qualité prix pour un 5* est parfait. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et très varié !!

Lovely older hotel located in the centre of Palermo city. The service was very good including the doorman who stepped in when the cab driver tried to rip us off. Rooms were old style but quite big and the bed was very comfortable. Large buffet breakfasts upstairs were very good. We walked to most attractions which wasn't far, there's also some nice restaurants and cafes very close by. Mondello beach was lovely and only a short bus ride.

Need some sunblock curtains in the breakfast area as it was very warm

It is very charming old hotel, very city centre so you can walk to all the attractions. It is relatively peaceful but we have stayed on the third floor so cannot comment on lower ones. The staff in the hotel is super helpful and very friendly.

Breakfast options are rather poor. The hotel for sure had its glory time in the past as the bathroom needs renovation or at least grout cleaning in the shower.

Sehr netter Empfang, obwohl die Fähre Verspätung hatte und ich relativ spät angekommen bin. Die Taschen wurden mir vom Portier abgenommen und auf das Zimmer gebracht. Das Zimmer ist sehr schön mit allem Komfort ausgestattet. Täglich gibt es eine Flasche Wasser auf das Haus. Es gibt zudem eine schöne Bar, einen gemütlichen TV-Raum, in dem ich die WM verfolgen konnte. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet auf der wunderbaren Dachterrasse. Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen, man ist schnell in der Fußgängerzone und in der Innenstadt sowie am Hafen.

Ich bin mit der Vespa angereist. Parkplätze gibt es in einem Parkhaus etwa 7 Gehminuten entfernt. Leider musste ich für zwei Nächte den vollen Preis für ein Auto (€ 30,00) bezahlen, obwohl ich mit der Vespa nur ein Eckchen und keinen ganzen Parkplatz benötigt habe. Bei der Abreise habe ich meinen Roller vor der Tür geparkt, um die schweren Taschen nicht so weit tragen zu müssen. Ich wurde von einem Mitarbeiter aufgefordert, den Roller auf die andere Straßenseite zu stellen, weil er dort ein Gästefahrzeug parken wollte. Platz wäre für das Auto auch gewesen, wenn ich stehen geblieben wäre (hätte sowieso nur 10 Minuten gedauert). Außerdem bin ich genau so Gast, eben nur mit einer Vespa und keinem Auto. Da war ich etwas sauer.

Hotel was decorated beautifully, in an old grand European style. The front desk, breakfast room staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the bathroom has some counter space which is pretty rare in a lot of European hotels. Breakfast buffet was great with many offerings. The location was very convenient, about a 10 -15 minute walk to old town. The front desk arranged an early morning taxi to the airport, and it was on time.

Nothing not to like. This hotel is a bit on the pricey end but if you want to stay in a nice facility in a good location do yourself a favor and stay here.

If you want to stay in a traditional 5 star hotel with olde world surroundings and want to enjoy the service and travel experience from a previous age, this is the place. Bell boys (men in fact) in red uniforms, suited reception, maids with caps and pinnafores, evening turn down service with bedside mats and change of towels; I was reminded of a bygone age. Best of all was how helpful and friendly everyone is. This is a credit to Gisella the Hotel Director who has obviously ensured that the hotel’s culture is reflected in the staff. Previous reviews have commented on the street noise. Yes it can be noisy but correct use of the wooden external shutters dampens this down. They need to be closed and the shutter slats closed. We noticed quite a difference when we did this. The hotel is very centrally located for everything (restaurants, shops and sights) and is very walkable. If you want a taxi, ask reception to book one which means it will be metered. Usual issues with having to negotiate otherwise. We also used the bus service in Via Roma. Hotel side of Via Roma if heading towards Central Station. Buy tickets from the tabac and endorse in the bus on machine near the driver. Many buses have inspectors who you can pay instead. Recommend taking the bus 101 for frequency. We waited a long time for the 124 to Capo market. There is also a free transit bus. Get map from the hotel. Buffet breakfast was enormous and a treat. There is even prosecco if you feel like it. Cooked breakfast, fresh fruit, continental breakfast and especially all the cakes and sweet treats. There is something for everyone. We can only thank the staff (too many to mention by name and we didn’t get everyone’s name) for everything they did for us during our 8 day stay and before we arrived. Special thanks go to Wim and Roberto on Reception for dealing with our multiple queries and booking restaurants, calling taxis, etc. Wim also booked our day in the Lido in Cefalu for us. Alessia in the breakfast dining room for remembering our drinks order in the morning which was appreciated. Alessio the bell boy who helped me out by pointing out that the easypark app had my car in the wrong location and helped me use the parking machine. We hired a car from Sicily by Car in Stabilo Marine and had an excellent experience. Use the app for a cheaper rate but make sure you get roadside cover too. There is parking around the hotel but it is challenging to get a car space as it is free after 8pm until 8am. It is also very tight parking. Also best to use the parking machines as easypark app can get your car location wrong and it is mainly apcoa (different operator not on the anpp) around the hotel. The machines can start the parking time from 8am the next day so no need to get up early. The hotel can arrange parking if you can’t find a space. Be aware there is a ZTL Palermo in operation which requires daily payment and registration if you enter the zone. The hotel is outside the ZTL but Wim can help you with this if necessary. Highly recommended to stay. You won’t be disappointed. We used SicilyTransfer to go to Palermo airport and the hotel can book this for you as they are on its central reservation system. Nice knowledgeable driver (Giacomo) in a Mercedes van.

Para quem vai de carro, apesar de ter estacionamento, o hotel fica numa ZTL (zona de trafego limitado). Muito dificil de chegar (cheque antes sobre ZtL). Ar condicionado central muito ruim em alguns quartos.

It is truly a lovely place to stay the pictures. Don’t even do it justice. It was just a charming, beautiful hotel.

Really only one thing we’d like to have a mirror in the bedroom not just in the bathroom that’s for quick fixes or quick check ups when the other person is in the bathroom.
