Hotel Sirius

There is a beautiful view. The building is very classy and well maintained. The staff was accommodating when we had to leave early and set up a quick breakfast for us. It is close to the local restaurants and other attractions without the noise and hubbub.

La ubicación ideal, cerca del centro historico, del funicular y de la terminal de buses. El hotel tiene lindísimas vistas, una pileta bárbara. Además tiene parking que hay que reservar con anticipación.

A charming family operated hotel that evokes an ‘old world hacienda’ feeling. Much of the hotel maintains its original design/fixtures etc, which may bother some, but we loved it! You could feel there was a real history here. Slightly dated, but amazing views, a comfy bed and a beautiful breakfast. The staff were a delight and had us smiling/laughing the whole stay.

The pool area furniture needs a little refreshing and potentially some soft music by the pool and the restaurant to create some ambience.

Staff were excellent especially Claudia her kindness and sincerity was first class. I am head of Operation’s and I know about what is excellence and customer experience and this lady was a credit to the company I hope she reads this review thank you Claudia and to the team at Hotel Sirius.

L’emplacement était idéal, à 5 min à pieds du téléphérique et 10 min du centre ville, une vue mer magnifique, le personnel adorable et surtout Fabio à l’accueil du soir !

Les murs étaient fins donc nous entendions entre les chambres, une fois une dame est même venue toquer à notre porte car « nous rigolions trop fort » …. Mais bon cela ne nous a pas empêché de profiter de notre séjour !

You pay 300 euros for views and location and 100euro for at most 2-star cheap hotel. Tiny rooms, tiny bathroom with no way to put toiletries next to sink. Cheap shower gel. No regular soap. To charge phone you need to disconnect lamp. Breakfast made from absolutely cheapest ingredients. Owners of the hotel have no pride at all in running this hotel. Staff was nice but with limited English skills. Pool opens at 10am !?

Das Hotel hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und das Personal wahnsinnig freundlich. Die Zimmer waren ebenfalls sehr schön eingerichtet und die Aussicht ein Traum.

Wir sind mit unserem kleinen (sehr ruhigen) Hund angereist und haben das Hotel u. a. deshalb ausgewählt, weil angegeben war, dass man sein Haustier mitnehmen kann. Dass der Hund im Hotel sich aber eigentlich nur im Zimmer aufhalten und weder ins Restaurant noch an den Pool darf, war leider nirgends angegeben und das fanden wir auch nicht sehr haustierfreundlich. Zudem war im Vorfeld auch nicht klar, dass für den Hund zusätzliche Kosten anfallen würden. Während wir absolut nachvollziehen können, dass er nicht zum Pool durfte bzw. wir auch nie davon ausgegangen wären, dass er in den Pool selbst springen hätte dürfen, wäre es trotzdem schön, wenn die Information, dass er sich nicht in der Nähe des Pools aufhalten darf, im Vorfeld irgendwo in der Beschreibung vermerkt gewesen wäre.

The location was excellent, with water views and about a 5 min walk from the main shopping street, walking distance to most restaurants, shops and activities, and right by the gondola down to the beach. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed an afternoon by the pool with a spritz (or two). While the parking ramp was slightly terrifying, we really appreciated having the option to park there at a reasonable price (and that they offered to park our car in the tight quarters!).

The rooms were perfectly clean and comfortable but the style/decor just looked a little old. We’d still recommend it though for the location, pool, staff, and value!

ביקשתי להשאיר את הרכב בחנייה של המלון עד לשעה מאוחרת יותר אבל לפני התחלת הצ'ק אין של אותו יום ואמרו לי שאי רפשר כי הכל מלא ובלית ברירה חניתי ליד בחניון אחר (נדרש תשלום נוסף). כשחזרתי לאסוף את המזוודות גיליתי שהחנייה חצי ריקה.

Amazing hotel on the ridge, sit in the morning with a cup of espresso and watch the sunrise. It is a five-minute walk from the old city. And five minutes to the cable car down to the beach, there is parking. The staff is very kind and gives explanations and tips about the city

We had such a pleasure stay! it is a very charming hotel, with a beautiful view at wonderful location. Staff were brilliant, everyone was very nice and helpful.

Excellent location being close to the bus stop, cable car, main street and the ancient theater. Staff at the reception are very pleasant and helpful. Vito helped me with my luggage upon check in and out which I really appreciated! Thank you for the wonderful stay.

The hotel is beautiful, with incredible views and an excellent location. I particularly enjoyed the pool area and balconies. The decor is dated but interesting and adds to the charm.

The very strong fragrance throughout the hotel made my stay difficult. I hope the hotel considers removing the fragrance bottles placed on the tables in the hallways, it’s completely unnecessary and extremely overpowering. I was in a panic on arrival as it was inescapable. I managed to work around it with help from a kind staff member. I'm writing as a warning to anyone who is sensitive to fragrance, you might want to follow up with the hotel prior to booking.

Parking is very very limited and you need to let them know in advance to make accommodations, it is not a quick park on the street or other places.

The hotel is goregous. Very much like a museum. I loved all the diffrent histocial art and pottery. Fine dinning and the lovely breakfast room with espresso or cappuccino to order fresh made and included with the free breakfast.

Our room was very small. The beds were extremely small and very firm. I did not like that the pool closed at 7pm. I do enjoy a nightswim while on holiday so this was very disappointing.

Sono anni che andiamo al Sirius di Taormina. Ci troviamo sempre benissimo. La posizione è ottima, sei in centro, hai il parcheggio, se decidi di spostarti con l'autobus, a pochi metri c'è il capolinea di molte corse, tra cui quella per andare a Castelmola. C'è la piscina, ma sei a due passi dalla teleferica per scendere al mare...e poi sei vicino ad un ottimo ristorante, da Nino.

We loved this place, still authentic with fabulous views on the coast and a great swimming pool. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Great breakfast buffet. Ideally located 5 minutes away from the cable car and the Messina porta.

Can't thank Fabiola enough - We were apprehensive about booking a hotel for a group of 15 online, but she managed this booking from the minute we contacted her in February for a July 2026 stay. She made sure all rooms were organized and correct ensuring a seamless check-in experience and organized all transportation to and from the hotel. Even better, she sent our group to an amazing dinner and organized taxi to and from. Lastly, she sent us to a great beach club nearby and did all of the organization ahead of time so it was a very easy beach day. You can tell she goes above and beyond for each and every guest and she lifted a huge weight off of our shoulders as a group of 15. The family owned and operated feel and approach and connecting rooms! The pool was great and breakfast excellent! The staff were highly responsive to our needs. The location is excellent - close to shops and cable car.

L’emplacement était parfait. L’hôtel est magnifique avec une vue splendide sur la baie de Taormine. Le personnel de l’hôtel est vraiment très gentil, aux petits soins. La chambre était magnifique, spacieuse, bien décorée avec une jolie terrasse qui donnait sur la mer. Tout le personnel a été d’une grande gentillesse, nous avons pu profiter de la piscine après le Check out c’était parfait. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et le buffet est généreux.

We were made to feel deeply unwelcome. The woman who owns/ manages the hotel aggressively told off children (mine and others) for merely SPLASHING in the pool. She says there is a law against it in Italy. Obviously, there is not (I checked). I can understand diving or dangerous behaviour is not allowed but these are polite kids who are not being a nuisance in any way, just being kids. The other guests were similarly dismayed by her behaviour. The hotel shouldn't let families with children book and take their money and then police their every move. Taormina is beautiful but stay somewhere else. It's a shame because the other staff have been kind and lovely. One told us they were embarrassed by their boss.

The hotel is located high up with stunning views of the sea, particularly from the restaurant. Only a short walk to the lively high street and the cable car to reach the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was easily the best we had during our tour of the island.

Beautifully located with stunning views, close to the old town & gondola. This hotel had an old world charm, set in the hillside, beautiful decor and such friendly staff that couldn’t do enough for you. I would absolutely come and stay here again.

Breakfast was fabulous, views amazing, staff knowledgeable and full of recommendations, and the position was perfect - close to the action but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful.

View was incredible, worth paying for the sea view balcony, breakfast had lots of options and nice coffee and the location was fantastic- perfect for getting around but also the Hotel is so lovely that you can happily stay there and relax all day long!

Location, staff and hotel was fantastic and highly recommend.

I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it, I would though suggest in summer, the inside part of the restaurant and bar were air conditioned and operating it would make for a really amazing place to sit for guests. I also think some ambient music in restaurant, breakfast and around the hotel would remove the really quiet feeling and guests hearing each other talk. Nothing major, just my opinion. Amazing hotel.

Great location - 2 minutes from the bus terminal and 5 minute walk to Via Umberto with all the shops & restaurants. Very nice hotel with beautiful Sicilian decor, amazing views and great rooms & pool area. Delicious Sicilian breakfast.

One small thing - the bathroom did lack some amenities and the shower was a bit small / tight.

We love this hotel and have returned once again. It is in an ideal position close to porta Messina and a short walk to the main shopping strip of Taormina and also to the cable car to go to Isola Bella. The staff are amazing, friendly and always accomodating. The cute bar next to the pool makes the best pizza and cocktails. The outlook is sublime. Free towels for the pool with comfy deck chairs. Love the interior of the hotel. We stayed in a room with a large balcony and terrazza. We will return again.

The location was perfect. We were a very short walk to the bus terminal for excursions and a brief walk to the main town area for food and shopping. Also a brief walk to the chair lift down to the beach and Island.

The staff was not friendly at all, there was no available water to drink throughout our stay except one bottle upon arrival. We were directed to the pool bar for bottled water that was priced higher than anywhere else we had been in Italy. Typical water is .70 -1.00 euro and they wanted 3.50 for something that should be provided daily as they advised us not to drink the tap water. Breakfast staff was also unfriendly. There was a decent offering of breakfast items but the eggs were undercooked and had a strange texture and the bacon was also just a pile of limp undercooked meat.

Bardzo wysoki standard. Świetne położenie. Doskonałe śniadania. Wspaniała obsługa. Zachód słońca obserwowany z tarasu na 5 piętrze… Czysto, pięknie, komfortowo.

Pizza serwowana w barze przy basenie to sucharek, będący w czołówce najgorszych pizz jakie miałem okazję kiedykolwiek jeść. Oczywiście jest drożej niż kilkaset metrów obok, gdzie polecam np. Restaurację Sapori di Mare. Śniadania są tak świetne, jakby były z innej bajki niż słabiutka pizza. Panowie w barze zapomnieli o zamówionej sałatce. Zajmują się też basenem, może dlatego nie bardzo mają czas na przygotowywanie jedzenia.

Breakfast was very good. I also liked the ambience with antique furniture and objects. The hotel has a lovely terrace for evening meals. My room was very quiet with no light pollution from outside. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is very near the bus terminal, cable car and the start of Corso Umberto. Also only a short walk to the public gardens.

I didn't like that the pool closed at 6.00pm and that it was not even possible to sit in the area with tables and chairs. It was very hot, the evenings light and most of the customers were reluctant to leave so early - many complained. Even 6.30pm closing time would have been more reasonable. It is the one thing that would stop me from booking again.

Frühstück wäre draußen schön! Der Frühstücksraum ist nicht sehr gemütlich, vor allem wenn schon viele Leute drinnen sind. Leider ist auch der Kaffee für italienische Verhältnisse und das Preisniveau des Hotels nicht sooo gut.

The location being across from the bus station (best option from Catania airport) and is affordable place to stay. The views are amazing and the staff is excellent and dilligent.

My AC went out twice in 3 days time however was fixed in a timely manner
