Embassy Suites San Marcos Hotel Conference Center

Super clean and everyone was great!

Very clean

Super clean, spacious and very polite employees

Everything

It's very clean & staff is friendly.

The elevators are kind of slow, but that didn't bother me too much.

Excellent location!

The whole experience was good.

Not being able to stay longer.

Great staff, clean lobby, and great breakfast.

Our room 305 had ants and the restroom sink was clogged. However your great staff was able to give us credit for the inconvenience.

Beautiful hotel and professional staff

Breakfast was wonderful, the rooms are big and spacious. The grounds were kept clean. The bartenders were very friendly and accommodating.

Our room kinda smelled like stinky feet. Most likely from a dirty vacuum cleaner. Could use some room fresheners in each room

Hotel was amazing and so was the staff

The beds were very comfortable, cold AC and Hot water in the shower. The TVs were large enough to see and the staff was very friendly

One of the beds wasn't clean but staff was very apologetic and moved us to a new room. The staff was very apologetic and appalled that the room wasn't perfect.

Everything

Short stay

Breakfast was amazing. They had many options and the omelet made to order was delicious

I don’t have any critiques

Everything was great! Loved the environment.

The beautiful scenery in the lobby

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like

Great location, excellent rooms, a great nightly free cocktail and snack bar hours!

Nothing!

Nada !!

Location

I like the location and the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food

We found a German roach in our room, crawling on the table… One of the small ones that usually have friends

Did not say I had to pay for parking when I booked the room

Just the parking

Clean rooms that are more modern than they have been in a long while.

The check-in process was lousy at 1 am. The key didn’t work, and I had to go 3 times down to get the key refreshed. Finally, they put me in another room. I also didn’t think the desk staff was that friendly.

Location, rooms, bar & breakfast were great.

Our room smelled like cigarette smoke. I have never had that happen before and have stayed there many times.

Everything

Few roaches

Absolutely incredible. From the moment I booked our stay, they've gone above and beyond to meet our needs. Despite having several conventions and camps booked at the same time as our stay, we never felt unseen by the employees. This was my children's very first hotel stay, so I requested a special treat for them... but I had no idea Embassy would go the extra miles it did to give them an experience they won't forget! Not only did the housekeeping do a cute towel creature (which is what I thought they'd receive) they added some treats for each of my two kids, made a large sign welcoming the kids that EVERYONE signed, and the big shock was they had a cap and water bottle made with both of their names! I couldn't believe they'd spend money on us, but wow. I was speechless. The cherry was the fact each employee I talked to seemed to already know who we were, just as excited for our stay as we were, and asked my children, by name, if they were enjoying their first stay--carefully paying attention to them with eye contact and being interested in each of our adventures for the day. Incredible job to the hiring department, you found real gems. And because of how we were treated, we will NEVER not stay at an Embassy. Gold standard customer service worth comparing all other hotels to.

Leaving! We wanted to stay longer!!

Very clean. Atmosphere was desirable.

No complaints.

The accommodations were wonderful!

Having to pay for parking when it's not even a downtown area, and the microwave was missing a foot and wobbly.

Amenities, cleanliness and family friendly environment

Bar staff

Check in was easy.

The AC in our room was out. They were quick to fix it, but they overrode the system so the AC wouldn't shut off. We were freezing the next morning. Bathroom sink didn't have hot water. Cold line was connected to both levers. AND the hotel was full with only ONE of THREE elevators working. There were a lot of people carrying a lot of luggage, angry about elevators.

The buffet.

The elevators, it has 3, but 1 is not working. It took me over 20 minutes to get down from the 3rd floor. Not to mention the AC when I got to the room. Wasn’t working, it was at 81 degrees, I tried to fix it with no avail. I called to the front desk and luckily someone came immediately to fix it. It was a bad experience for too much money that I paid. I could have get a better deal in another hotel for less money. I like Embassy, but this experience maybe think for other options for next time.

AC didn't work nor did the elevators

Amenities

I liked everything.

Long line for omelette.

Easy to get to and easy to access a variety of places to go.

I love the location!!

Happy hour

The air-conditioned was really loud. We barely slept. We had a long drive the next day and we're do tired. For the price of the room the air could have been quieter

Nothing

Management gave my room away. When I went to check in they said they called me to confirm my reservation. I was at wedding and did not have service. I arrived only to find out I had no room. They tried sending me miles down the road. The problem with that was we were with the wedding party. When I mentioned that they wanted to give me another person's room. I told them that they are probably with the wedding party. I tried calling Hilton since I'm a member and Hilton has been a disappointment. Hotel denied the case so I had to reopen it. Ha I to drive and hour back home because of not answering the phone is absolutely terrible.

Location was convenient and facility was clean.

The staff member I spoke to at the bar during happy hour was not the nicest. One of the elevators wasn't working and there were a lot of people due to conferences, etc...

breakfast, pool, gym, lobby

Omlettes and pancake good..grits and oatmeal too dry. Egg had weird taste.

Elevators took way too long had to use service elevator.

Great staff!!

Got there late and exhausted. Had to take multiple trips from room door to front desk because of a faulty lock.

Clean & spacious, Happy hour & the Gym

Customer service and spacious of the room was really nice.

The water in the sink didn't get hot enough and there was no vent in the bathroom.

Breakfast staff was awesome! The food was very good and hot. Room service was quick and very easy to order online. Happy hour was very relaxing, and well stocked snacks were provided throughout the happy hour.

The food from room service was cold and not very appealing. We had the trio dips and the cheese dip was water. The sliders were cold.

Everything except my bedroom t.v. not working.

My t.v. in the bedroom didn't work. When I told the manager on check out there was just a sorry.Nothing else offered for me not having a t.v. all night.

Beautiful property,great layout nice views.

I booked this hotel but didn’t stay at the property. They were over booked so the made me accommodations at a cheaper hotel but I still payed the price of this hotel. What a scam, the manager told me I would be in there the next day, never received the call to come.

The staff was nice everyone was willing to help and assisting any way. The room was clean large space and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing.

The outdoor pool. Embassy Suitesbis known for the indoor pool and we missed it but thanks to Texas weather we got to swim outside.

Well kept and the maintained staff has done an excellent job of mitigation day to day repairs

Excellent staff and perfect location

There’s nothing I didn’t like about the property

Comodidad, limpieza, happy hour.

Good selection

starbucks closed. no coffee machine in lobby. reception lady ws rude kept me waiting while they were chatting amongst themselves

Perfect Location, great happy hour, awesome breakfast.

Perfect Location, Amazing staff, Amazing cooks.

All good

clean adjacent to outlet

none

Breakfast was great on the days it was offered. Bed was super comfortable.

Breakfast was not served one morning, which was disappointing, but we were comped a few nights parking. Why were we charged $15 per day for parking? There were tons of spaces and it seemed ridiculous to add this unnecessary charge when there is no other way to get to this hotel, than to drive. The hot water in the shower went out one night, but we called maintenance and the hot water was back on the next time we used it.

Clean spacious rooms

The attention to detail there was no body soap in shower i was missing a bath towel

I loved that it was spacious and where it was located at.

Short visit lol

The room, the facilities overall, the cleanliness.

There was NO breakfast today, according to the staff the cooks were sick, but this is no valid reason to not offer a full breakfast which most of the people choose this hotel for. Plenty of unhappy customers were down in the breakfast area. Embassy Suites should have a contingency plan to act when this things happen.

Everything

Food wasn't that good

There was an adult anime conference going on and we were traveling with kids.

Bebidas gratis y el desayuno

El elevador se tarda mucho

It took too long for the water to get hot

Disappointing hygiene and aggressive tipping culture - Not up to Hilton standards I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites in San Marcos, and unfortunately, the experience was far below the brand's standards. 1. Poor Hygiene & Housekeeping: The cleanliness was shocking. Upon checking in, the floor hadn't even been vacuumed, and the glasses in the room were dirty. Furthermore, basic amenities were neglected; they failed to restock the toilet paper when it ran out, leaving us without a spare roll. 2. Hidden Fees & Parking: I was charged $15/night for parking in a standard open lot with no real security features. It felt like a hidden fee just to squeeze more money out of guests. 3. Aggressive Tipping: Most surprisingly, there were QR codes placed everywhere—even inside the bedroom—soliciting tips for staff. I have never seen this at a Hilton property before. It felt incredibly tacky and intrusive given the high room rate and poor service. Overall, this felt like a budget motel experience at a Hilton price. I would not recommend staying here until management addresses these issues.

The shower emenities

Check in earlier

Location breakfast reception

7$ per water bottle charge in the room.

Amenities

Continued trouble checking in with 3rd party reservations, desk clerk could not find my reservation and said it was cancelled through booking. Waited 30 min till problem was cleared. Frustrating

I like the renovation and cleanliness

The breakfast, the bakery was terrible

Stayed here for a conference, and a completely different group came in to our conference room prior to our meal and stole our food so not everyone got to eat. That was the story that we were told. At the end of the day, I would not recommend this place.

Great location, staff was helpful and professional

The property itself was wonderful and the staff were very friendly.

I had a big problem with the “breakfast!” We got down to the lobby an hour before the breakfast was to close. We were disappointed to say the least. I will share my picture to help me explain. The juice was watered down especially the orange juice. The other machine wasn’t even working. Many items were already gone and never replaced. I feel like the staff was doing their best with the few crew members present. We plan to stay here again in May for Texas State graduation. I hope to find the breakfast fixed!
