It's a truly magnificent property. The room we had was huge and well appointed. It is a a little dated, but the place made up for it with all the amenities and the cleanliness.

Breakfasf was great. I enjoyed the stay. The staff is friendly.

The (Dinner) was not great. We had fish and beef fillet. The spa was closed and we were looking forward to enjoying that facility.

The room was exceptional. Beautiful courtyard view, very quiet and the finishes and amenities were amazing. Had an amazing New Year’s Eve set menu dinner and service during the stay was amazing. Special thanks to Terrance and Ishmael.

The guests that checked in the last night were making a lot of noise, banging doors so we struggled to sleep

The food was excellent. The staff was amazing. The grounds and the spa were lovely. The furnishings and public rooms were beautifully decorated.

The restaurant, the spa, and the building with guest rooms were all separate. One of the days we were there it was raining. Although they had many umbrellas, it was wet and slippery walking from one area to another. The bathroom in our room did not have a full door - it was a folding louver door so that when one of us went to the bathroom at night, turning on the light disturbed the other person who was sleeping.

We had a fantastic stay! The room was spotless, spacious and the staff were incredibly friendly, and the spa services were top-notch. The fireplace added to our overall pleasant experience as it was cold. The only downside is that the Spa treatment areas are not warm enough. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel especially for couples The rooms offer great privacy and the staff respond promptly to all requests. The Sunday live music sessions are cool and a great way to end your weekend. We liked that it doesn't get too crowded and rowdy line other Sunday music sessions we've seen. It's a very classy establishment.

Absolutely Everything! From the moment I arrived, everything about this property exceeded my expectations. The décor was elegant, and the spacious suite was simply stunning. Every detail, from the luxurious furnishings to the thoughtful amenities like bath salts for the tub, made my stay unforgettable. The service was exceptional from check-in to check-out. I can’t praise the staff enough—especially Yvonne, Mogomotsi, Smiles, and all the attentive porters. Nothing was ever too much to ask. When I requested a breakfast table for 10 to celebrate my grandmother’s 80th birthday, the team handled it with grace and genuine care. One of the most special touches was the personalisation throughout the property, especially the Mandela photos. It was a true honour to stay in a suite once occupied by the great leader himself. Every staff member I encountered demonstrated what exceptional service really means—professional, warm, and deeply committed to guest comfort. From being met at my car and having my bags taken, to being welcomed with friendly smiles, this experience was five-star in every sense. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

The One Thing I Would Change: If I could change one thing, it would be the selection of body wash and creams. For a property as sublime as this, the toiletries could be elevated to match—something richer, creamier, and more luxurious in both scent and texture. A classic soap bar would also be a great addition for guests who prefer it. Small touches like these would take an already exceptional stay to the next level.

Absolutely great customer service and rooms are spacious with great attention to detail, spa facilities were excellent. Highly recommend for some quiet bliss.

The room was incredible, but the AC unit was very noisy and bothersome.

At breakfast, all the available tables had been used and not been reset. We had to sit outside to find a table. Our breakfast took very long to arrive and was cold by the time it did. The coffee (americano) was very weak and cold. The breakfast staff were not well trained and not very helpful.

Unique and nice place. Would stay again. Great food. Friendly staff. Some things a little outdated although you could say that’s part of the vibe. Biggest complaint: room door has a light directly in front of it that does not turn off. And no blind to cover the window. Was extremely bright at night. Second night a staff member removed the bulbs which was appreciated
