MOXY Phoenix Tempe/ASU Area

Location. The staff was so nice. The lobby was clean and I like the decor.

the smell in the women's bathroom - gaseous. The hallway - Sewery and hideous. There was construction. The carpet felt sticky. The room smell was moldy and chemically from cleaning supplies. I felt like they were trying to mask the smell. I stayed here a year ago and loved it! The arcarde was so fun..this time there was one machine out of the five working. Sad.

There was a roach in the bathroom , and the drain was clogged I had to unclog it. But other than those few hiccups and not getting the balcony room which we wanted so badly it was a good experience. The staff at the Moxy exceeded my expectations that’s for sure!

The showers could be cleaned a little more. Make sure room doors work.

There was no breakfast included

Place was ran down carpets stained hallways smelled so bad elevator was out of service the first room put us in smelled horrible of mildew second room smelled a little better.

The convenience, friendly staff, complimentary drink. The staff was very helpful, parking was good and the location was perfect, lots of food choices and right down the street from ASU, which was the reason for the stay.

It was a little warm in the room with the ac at max capacity and we got locked out of our room due to the battery going out on the door. The staff did their best to get us back in the room quickly, it just took some time.

Friendly staff but this place is clearly more of a party hotel. Great location to ASU but someplace for your older brother to stay when he visits, not necessarily parents.

Really enjoyed my stay here! The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a great size and really comfortable. Loved that there was free parking, made things so easy. The pool area was awesome, with nice cabanas to relax in. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the ASU Tempe campus. I wish I had more time to enjoy all the amenities. I’d definitely stay here again.

Room was neat with a cool vibe. Unfortunately when we arrived an alarm was going off in the room next door. They moved us but surprised they couldn’t just disable it. The next evening all the alarms went off for a few seconds and stopped but the alarm lights blinked all night long (hallway not our room). So that was weird but overall we liked the stay. Not the newest or fanciest hotel but quirky and fun.

Run down hotel nothing working nothing fixed in the days we were there from Tuesday to Friday morning . The flashing lights from the emergency lights were flashing the entire time of the stay, some rooms were flashing like a strobe light so if anybody had epilepsy that would’ve not worked out well. With zero warning or any signs of them trying to fix anything. The carpets walking down the hall to get to your rooms look like they have never been vacuumed the entire time the place has been open. it smelled like mold and wet walls and dirty water. Coming out of the elevator the morning we were leaving to fly home. There was vomit in the elevator that was not cleaned up and then coming out of the elevator on the first floor. There was vomit everywhere in the hall on the carpet we told them and they seemed shocked, which is alarming for the fact that how many hours has that vomit been sitting there. Every time we walked into the lobby every single employee was sitting at the bar in the chairs doing absolutely nothing. No dusting no cleaning. The pool is filthy. It didn’t look like it had been cleaned with pieces of palm tree leaves floating in the bottom of it. The only time we saw any kind of cleaning was room service and that was questionable. All in all I strongly recommend you not staying at this hotel and the department of whoever is in charge of making sure things are up-to-date really needs to look into this place because I guarantee they would be shut down immediately.

Meet expectations

Room was aesthetically nice. Bed was comfortable overall enjoyed my . Hallways and in elevator entrances. Stairwells needed upgraded.

Nice clean room but hallway smelled moldy, says they serve food at the bar on website but when checked in was told they dont serve food which was a let down since we could have stopped on the way there and ate. No where in room to sit and eat (no coffee table, desk only had 1 chair), no trash can in room or mini fridge to keep drinks cold. Room was really cool retro vide and shower is amazing (room for 2) All in all was a good room for the price.

Been here a couple of times now and for a hotel that isn’t one of the expensive show off ones it has been nothing short of exceptional, staff are Great and it’s such a good location for someone who needs somewhere to stay whilst he’s in town!

The pool needed cleaning. The pullout bed had some dirt on it and had to ask for sheets. No fridge.

Run down property

Love the lobby area and location. The halls, elevators and stairs don’t seem to clean. The rooms are clean but I don’t like the bean bag in the room..

The couch in room was stained and dirty Bring ear plugs, Police and fire sirens all night.

I had to move twice in two days. The toilet didn’t work and was disfusring, there was a nasty huge leak from the ceiling leaving puddles of sticky stuff on the floor. The whole property was dirty

I like the overall vibe and everything is super clean. Main issue was the elevator by the main entrance is very shaky. Housekeeping tried to get into the room before check out time even though we had the window set to Do Not Disturb. Someone was trying to get into our room at around 3 a.m. a couple tries and woke us up. There’s no shelving in the shower for toiletries. Trash can in the restroom looked like someone threw up in it and it was tossed out, but not cleaned. I loved the AC! Very efficient.

Such a cute hotel! The aesthetic once you walk in was much better than anticipated and was incredibly inviting and fun!

Shower, very poor pressure plus the hotel in general is beaten up and while the lobby area is fun and quaint you need a total overhaul

The fact it was so different from most hotels.

No refrigerator in the room. No real food options at all in hotel. The smell and temp. Of halls elevators everything not the room stank and the air conditioning was sub par.

The Moxy is getting very run down. It’s evident they are not keeping up on maintenance at all. Toilet paper holder broken, shower handle broke off when turning on-among many other broken or just run down issues. The air conditioner was very squeaky and also turned on and off all night very loud despite running the “constant fan”. I literally got no sleep here. Also, traffic from rural road is very loud all night. And hallways dirty with dead cockroaches. The only positive was that staff were very nice and competent.

Needs complete remodeling. Room was damp with mold in the bathroom. Pool was not in good shape with missing tiles and broken umbrella.

Bar tender not friendly at all did not know how to make mixed drinks could not open a bottle of wine. Our key to our room stopped working and room and hallways had a bad smell like an old cigarette smell

Location is great. Close to ASU. Comfortable bed.

Poorly managed. Fun concept of industrial, communal, minimalistic design. However, this property is dirty, no basic supplies, maid cleaning is limited to change of towels and taking away trash. No hand soap, no shampoo, no body wash, dirty shower. Note is the bathroom says „if you need any supplies grab what you need from the supply room in the hallway.” It would be OK but the supply room is not stocked. TV has options to connect your device but nothing works. TV channels are very limited.

Great place to stay if dropping you child off at ASU.

The property was extremely rundown. I was electrocuted by a lamp. The room was not clean. The pool was not working.

Zimmer inklusive Frühstück buchen lohnt sich nicht. Sinnvoller vor Ort zu ordern. Pool war vorübergehend kaputt, das wurde bei Buchung nicht mitgeteilt, wäre bei der Sommerhitze Entscheidungskriterium.

Nice Hotel to stay with the family

Property has a great atmosphere and staff is incredibly helpful and friendly.

Watch out for dead cockroaches in the hallway! Not the hotel’s fault, but the neighbors across the hall screamed at each other for at least thirty minutes around midnight our first night there. Not a good experience overall.
