AC Hotel by Marriott Phoenix Tempe/Downtown

Location and proximity to Tempe downtown, clean hotel and rooms and comfort.

Parking ticket did not work and had to pay out of pocket although its supposed to be complimentary. Breakfast choices aren't good.

The hotel is in a good location, general the interior is good. But already when I checked in, the person didn't like his job too much. While friendly but not warm and welcoming. I don't like the fact that Marriott is starting not to provide daily room service. I am sorry, this is a hotel, and I can go to a VBRO if I want to do my bed on my own. I had two rooms and spend over 1K. So I asked for daily service, and they noted it, and I guess being a Titanium member helps. The room was so loud. The AC was just like an old car muffler all night long. I figured out quickly why they gave you one of those ear plugs for free. Next room were two dogs, barking all night. Not their fault but when you allow animals you have to think about it a bit. For example when you check in, asking me if that is an issue for me?

Chandler is a fantastic sever! If you are staying at the AC Hotel in Tempe definitely swing by for the breakfast. Great atmosphere and he makes a great iced cappuccino.

Loved the location and the hotel room was perfect size super clean will definitely stay here again!

Rooms are beautiful, simple, and cozy! The rooftop pool is stunning, and the workout room is amazing. The front desk was super friendly and helpful. Chandler helped us every morning with our coffees and a yummy breakfast — he was very funny and personable and always made us laugh! The staff all over the hotel are wonderful and so attentive. Highly recommend — we had a fantastic stay at the AC Hotel in Tempe!

Chandler was amazing this week! He learned not only my name but the names of every person that came into the breakfast/bar area. He was friendly and already knew what you wanted and had it started for you. He made the mornings very easy and smooth to get in and out for breakfast.

The stay at AC hotel Tempe was great. We had a 4 night stay at the hotel and the staff made it very comfortable and pleasant. The restaurant staff, Logan and Chandler I believe were awesome. They are very empathetic and make sure everyone is taken care of. 10 on 10 to both.

Fantastic experience with notably exceptional hospitality from Chandler. Just one example, I mentioned I liked an oat milk latte my first morning, but they didn’t have oat milk. The next morning he had gotten some just for me. He remembered everyone’s names and went above and beyond to accompdate.

Great location and amazing staff in the kitchen with Logan and Chandler, and at the bar with Lexi and Carlota. I had an amazing prosciutto and egg breakfast before heading off to my work meeting and a good old fashioned at night

Superb service from all staff. Shout out to both Jack and Carlo on front desk, and Chandler and Victoria serving breakfast. Great facilities (pool, gym). Very pleasant lobby lounge/bar to chill in. We were travelling as family of 4 adults (perfect). Would also be great business trip accomodation (there were plenty of obvious business trippers around).

Struggled to keep room cool with A/C on lowest setting with max fan (room 501). Admittedly it was 110 degree day. Return air also quite noisy, but hotel does provide ear plugs.

I had an emergency stay because I was in between apartments literally by 1 day. I was distraught by how my old apartment complex was treating me so, i just had to go ahead and book a hotel. I was very stressed by the situation and when i got to this hotel, the smiles, quick chit chat and helpfulness of the staff made the weight of the world disappear for just a moment. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious to relax. House keeping was also sweet to me when i made a mess in the hallway. Being treated nicely when the world has got on your last nerve is so much appreciated. You never know what people are going through. Thank you to the staff for providing a safe, friendly and clean atmosphere for customers like me😌

The parking, its inconvenient but not enough to take stars away.

We should've looked at more reviews before booking, including Yelp! We prepaid our reservation with Marriott.Check-in was great, simple, and staff were very helpful welcoming! It was in a great location. However, the elevator and the room, ugh! DIRTY! There was a large brown stain on the bed. The bathroom had white splat on the mirror, the wall, and near the toilet. Also, the toilet would continuously run. It wasn't an issue until the last day when it OVERFLOWED! The shower was old, you could see scum, and it leaked everywhere! I reported it to the front office and went to change rooms. The second room seemed worse. We decided to book a different hotel, but due to our reservation being prepaid, it was a hassle because the front desk staff was new. Our trip was already packed with a full schedule, so changing hotels in the middle of our stay was extremely difficult. On checkout day, we went to our vehicle, and a note was left saying, "Only registered guests are allowed for loading and unloading or be towed." It caught us off guard because our vehicle was registered the entire time. The funny thing is, there was no posted sign anywhere in sight.Won't be returning. Very disappointed.

AC Hotel in Tempe was a pleasant surprise. The staff was lovely and really helped accommodate us. We travel a lot, and we recognize the efforts people make. Daniel was really helpful in helping us. The corner units are very nice. However, the traffic along Rio Salado Pkwy is extremely noisy, so if you're a light sleeper, avoid these rooms. There is also a lot of airplane traffic directly overhead. However, the rooms are lovely and appointed nicely. The floor-to-ceiling windows are fantastic for views. Location is great for ASU or Marquee theater events. Rooftop pool is super-cool with great views of the mountains and surrounding town. Note to Marriott in general...stop installing glass bathroom entry doors. Was there left-over shower supplies? So annoying not only being woken up in the middle of the night with bright bathroom lights shining directly into the bedroom, but there's also zero privacy. Springhill Suites also does this and I avoid them now when not traveling alone. Negatives: Room rates are decent here, but add in the $20 for parking, which is across the street.

Breakfast was great when it was cooked to order. The breakfast bar wasn't bad at all.

Never reserve food from the next day. Some breakfast items ( egg bites) were reheated.

I’ve stayed at this hotel every time I visit Tempe for work and I am always impressed by the service and how personable everyone is from the front desk staff and the daily interactions I have with other staff members. I particularly want to call out Chandler who is such an amazing staff member at the AC hotel. He is attentive to your needs, friendly and professional. He remembered my name even with a brief encounter and when he found out my flight was delayed he wanted to make sure I would not be hungry during the wait. He thought about my needs even before I did. Thank you chandler and the AC team.

Chandler and Ronnie made my stay incredible. With the amount of traveling my colleagues and I do, we all agreed we’ve never ran into a staff that was as attentive, kind, and fun as the one here.

Truly an exceptional experience from check-in to check-out. Design is contemporary and chic with great luxury touches. Hotel location is close to the hustle and bustle but in a quiet area right next to the water. Great for walks, running, sunsets, or even boat rentals. Special mention to the breakfast pastries and the two gentleman, Chandler and Logan, who greeted you by name every morning taking the experience to the next level. Absolutely would recommend.

We had a great experience staying at the AC Marriott in Tempe, and I especially want to recognize one of the breakfast staff members who truly stood out. LOGAN From the moment we walked into the breakfast area, he was welcoming, friendly, and incredibly attentive. He kept everything clean and well-stocked, but what really made the difference was his positive attitude and the way he interacted with guests. He went out of his way to make sure everyone was taken care of, always with a smile. It’s not often you come across someone who clearly takes pride in their work and genuinely enjoys helping people start their day off right. He made our mornings more enjoyable and set the tone for a great stay. The hotel itself was excellent, but employees like him are what make the experience memorable. I hope management recognizes the great job he’s doing—he’s a real asset to the team!

Stayed at the AC Hotel Tempe for the annual Pat's Run. The mobile check in app is not very helpful. Was expecting a text when room was ready but it never came. Upon arrival, Carlos was excellent at the front desk. He was friendly and provided a warm welcome. He was able to accomodate my request for a room on an upper floor and honored my request for a late checkout of 1 PM. That was convenient so we did not need to rush after the run. Parking is in a garage across from the hotel but it was not crowded and not too far of a walk. The room was clean and comfortable. Check out was smooth and overall it was an excellent stay that removed a lot of the stress of attending Pat's Run.

Exceptional hotel! The first thing that caught my eye was the amazing bathroom. Great atmosphere and the service personnel were excellent.

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel’s restaurant for breakfast, and I want to specifically recognize Chandler for his outstanding service. The breakfast itself was delicious, featuring a small buffet with simple items such as oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, pastries, toast bread, croissants, quality cheeses, and charcuterie, along with made-to-order items that were fresh and satisfying each morning such as cooked eggs and avocado toast. Also, I especially loved the vanilla latte which is the perfect way to start the day. From the very first day, Chandler made the effort to remember my name, which immediately made me feel welcomed and valued. Even more impressive is that he makes the effort to remember guest's favorite go to breakfast orders. Chandler consistently went above and beyond with his attentiveness, professionalism, and warm personality. It’s rare to come across someone so genuinely dedicated to great customer service. He is truly a special member of the staff and a big part of why my stay was a fantastic experience. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves!

Close to the places I wanted to go visit

I travel a lot, so when someone stands out it means something. Ronnie at the front desk is outstanding! Professional, positive, and attentive. He makes the simple act of check in feel very personal, always coming out from behind the desk to hand each guest their key in person and provide final individual instructions. A real bright spot at the end of the day when returning to the hotel. Then there is Grant at the bar. The man knew my name the next evening and greeted me personally by name. It is such a special thing to be greeted by your name when away from home. It make you feel like a VIP. THANKS GUYS!! I really appreciate you attention to detail and your focus on your profession. Located right next to Arizona State University and the downtown area of Tempe, the hotel is close to restaurants and a short drive to golf courses. Our room was very clean and well turned out. I appreciate the wood flooring verses having carpet. It makes everything seem cleaner. Despite being across the hall from the ice machine, our room was quiet. The beds were comfortable with nice linens. Loved Ronnie at the front desk who was very helpful and fun to chat with. We will be returning!

We had a great experience at this hotel! It was a business trip that we decided to turn into a family trip and the hotel was perfect for both situations! The kids were obsessed with the pool and in there every single day. The hotel did definitely have more of a business vibe and I think mine were the only kids that I saw there the entire time. But everyone was gracious and very sweet to us all. Everything was clean and the staff were so kind making sure to greet us every time we came in. You can't beat the view of the mountain from the pool. Overall a great experience!

This hotel was clean and comfortable. It sits between buildings and tucked away. The front desk greeted us with enthusiasm and were friendly. My favorite employee was Chandler. Every morning he greeted me and my coworker by name, memorized our breakfast orders, and was incredibly attentive. I was in awe of his service!

My Trip to AC Hotel in Tempe, Arizona was marvelous. I really enjoyed the greeting when I from the front desk Employee "Issyss" who had taken great care of me at check-in. Please make sure that Issyss is recognized for being a " Marriott Champion" and I will definitely be back in the near future

They comped us breakfast, which was very good. A nice buffet and they also make food to order. Had a late light dinner there, which was also good. Parking is close but not in the building, which is fine given it is not cold there.

This hotel is over priced for how nasty it is..Stayed in their "suite" for new years. I was so disappointed. The guy who checked me in was so rude treated me like I was stupid because I didn't hear him,he didn't give me any information on the breakfast I paid for,the parking garage YOU PAY FOR didn't work I had to call for help everytime to leave,the room has no drawers,no closet we lived out of suitcases,there was mold and soap scum in the shower,food on the silverware, someone else's crumbs in the room, looks like someone ejaculated on the curtains. NASTY for $300 a night. Get an Airbnb for that price. The hotel doesnt care when you bring this to their attention they lied and dismissed me. Carlos and Faye are terrible.. Dishonest and don't care. They also have bed bugs.

What I liked about this hotel is that is was close to my daughter’s university. Didn’t have the chance to try the breakfast, but it was a great, clean , and affordable place.

The rooms are spotlessly clean and offer amazing views, and the suites even include a lovely balcony. The common areas, gym, and heated pool provide everything you need to relax any time of the year. The hotel was great and the staff upon checkin. The hotel was nice and clean with great toiletries. At the end of the trip I dropped my phone in the shaft of the elevator. The staff was beyond helpful and advised that they would call the elevator company. Less than 2 hours later I had my phone back and without an additional charge. Thanks to Carlos and his staff.
