La Flora Resort Patong

A Stay Defined by Disappointment My recent stay at this property was a frustrating series of room changes and technical failures. What should have been a relaxing vacation turned into a stressful ordeal that ruined our honeymoon. Our issues began on day one when our air conditioning unit started leaking water, forcing us to move rooms. Unfortunately, our new room's phone and internet stopped working shortly after. Despite notifying the staff before noon, the problems were still unresolved by 4:30 p.m. With no working phone, I had to walk to the office to request help, only to be asked to move rooms for a second time. It is unacceptable to be unable to stay in one room for more than 12 hours. Beyond the room troubles, the property's general upkeep was poor. Despite the hotel being nearly empty, the pool was noticeably dirty and covered in leaves, as if it hadn't been skimmed in days. This lack of basic maintenance was quite surprising for a "5 star" . The final insult came as we decided to check out a day early. The manager, seeing our frustration, offered a meager $30 discount off our room service bill. This token gesture was insulting given the more than $600 we paid for a stay filled with broken amenities. To top it off, he offered the hopeful, but in this context, laughable, parting phrase: "I hope you come back." I cannot recommend this hotel. The constant interruptions, lack of maintenance, and insulting attempt at compensation made for an incredibly poor experience.

This is in the heart of the shenanigans but secure and safe. Good beds and the staff is amazing. Restaurant on site was good too!

Definitely one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed at and staff were very accommodating location is amazing. If your booking get one of the walk out pool side rooms. Breakfast buffet was so plentiful only neg is the food didn’t stay super hot But 5* is easy to give

All good but location in the middle of the crazy streets.. Staff very nice rooms clean .. all good other than location

Amazing service and staff and they prioritize safety more than anything. The pool access room wasn’t really worth it. The beach access was amazing! I will definitely be coming back to stay here on my next trip.

best

Wonderful hotel in the middle of busy Patong beach. Quite the oasis from all the noise outside. The staff were extremely friendly, especially the restaurant and bar teams. John the bartender in particular was very attentive. The room was clean and bright. The location of the hotel is convenient to everything you want to see in Patong.

Great hotel, exceptional hotel staff. Hot needs some upgrades.

Fantastic hotel and team working here! The staff made for a warm and welcoming experience from beginning to end. They remembered me by name and said hello everytime I came through! The hotel is modern and sooo quiet despite being in the heart of everything. And so many food choices at breakfast each day. Highly recommend staying here. A true 5-star oasis in the heart of Patong Beach!

All the staff always went above and beyond, the rooms were super clean, the breakfast buffet is tremendous, sharp hotel very near all the action and right on the beach. A bit pricey, but you’ll get what you paid for. Special shout out to Kan/Gan (sp) in hospitality who helped in so many different ways. Highly recommended, especially if you’ve never visited the area before. We were visiting from the USA just an fyi

The La Flora Resort was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful about everything. The keep the property clean and safe. They foresee tourist questions and have answers ready and suggestions. The staff was accommodating, helped plan excursions, suggested restaurants, provided safety tips, and scheduled transportation. The menus were great with a blend of Thai, Seafood and modern western dishes.

Nice room, friendly staff, but I have 20 mosquito bites on my legs because there were mosquitoes in the room. Unacceptable given the room cost

The hotel is absolutely amazing it’s perfectly located the food is good and the staff are super nice and friendly definitely a great place to stay

Great service by and big thank you to Jami (manager) and Paul for looking after us. Beautiful rooms and facilities. Super clean and mini bar refilled everyday & buffet brekky was tops.

Luxurious

It was clean, comfortable, well located and the staff were amazing. Not much else you can ask for. A lot of people say it isn’t a true 5 star but I feel I got good value for the money. You get what you pay for.

Oasis in Patong Beach

Your staff made the entire visit an event

Absolutely beautiful, the customer service was impeccable. The room was very comfortable with direct access to the pool and very close to the beach. Breakfast was great with a good selection. I will definitely stay here again. One thing I’d like to advise is the hot water for shower could be a little warmer. But truely I stay in many hotels around the world and La Flora has quickly jumped to the highest ranks on my list.

Lived our 4 night stay. Great location, very nice rooms and the staff was beyond wonderful. They went out of their way to assist and made us feel at home. Patong is a very lively area sand it is packed. I would recommend booking day trips by boat to Phi Phi and/ or James Bond Island

Very nice hotel in the best location. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Have stayed at this location twice. Both stays were very pleasant.

Staff is very friendly and good in customer service.

Our overall experiences of the hotel were great. Although there was active construction going on inside the hotel. The staff made it their effort to make our stay more comfortable. The hotel is connected to the local beach. Free mini bar was a plus. The hotel also has a connected massage parlor which I found it very interesting. Although there are many other massage business down on the avenue. The hotel has a rooftop dinner restaurant as well. Our free breakfast buffet was great. They served local Thailand food but questionable for breakfast. They also have the typical international breakfast such as yogurt, egg station, bread station and salad bar. Alcohol is on surcharge basis. The hotel also is very close to fast food chains like Mcds and BK.

This place is located minutes away from famous Patong Beach street, and less than a min to bunch of high end restaurants, Also behind the otel is zero to beach, view is amazing. It is aplace from the movies. Patong area is little far from the airport, but well worthed to visit. Otel stuff are very respectful and friendly, and helpful to any of your need. They well deserve the tip.

it was a pleasurable stay even after some discomfort at 1 day but the hotel manager acted fast and made our stay extra ordinary. la flora is the place to stay. no doubt about it.

Beach is very dirty… traffic to get to the hotel and from there…

I had a really nice stay here was my second time choosing here and will be coming again in the future very polite staff and great location

I had a very nice stay here and will be coming back again the location is perfect and the staff were extremely polite and helpful

A very nice hotel in the middle of Patong, if you are looking for the Patong commotion it is great also value for money, if you looking to be a bit away… not for you All in all taken into consideration the above it is a very nice hotel

Convenient for whatever you needed from Beach, Food and Entertainment

Staff amazing, clean, minibar free, gym facilities, keep in mind that is at front of the most visit street in Patong , is almost free of noise but still noisy. Breakfasts is included and is complete. Very delicious

Staff was outstanding

From the time we arrived and were greeted by Jamie we experienced the best Thai hospitality. Wonderful 8 day experience.

Room with king sized bed and own pool. Comfortable and picture accurate. Right on the beach. Steps to Bangla road but still quiet in the room. Great location.

Service was phenomenal, rooms themselves are closer to 4 star quality but staff and service and location are well worth the price.

The bathroom/toilets are not "private". This could be a problem if you are not a solo traveler. Otherwise the hotel is fine, close to everything and the staff is very good.

Was one of the best, clean, modern, safest, friendly, close and most convenient hotel closest to Bangla Road and right at the beach. Excellent customer service and very friendly staff. Many room options and all very organized and clean. A easy to extend stay. Definitely will book again.

Was good place to stay look for special rates little pricey

AWESOME HOTEL, Close to Everything! Service 5*

Lovely beach front property in the heart of Patong. Staff are really good and very helpful. As we wanted a property in a quiet area, La Flora is in a very busy area…La Flora is a small boutique hotel, but definitely not 5 resort… the one disappointing thing was the sewer smell just at the entrance of the hotel.

The concierge was AMAZING

We enjoyed the location on Patong Beach. It was central on that beautiful powder-white sand immaculately clean beach! The staff were always helpful. The rooms are large and have all the amenities. The lighting in the washroom is not the best, but there is a magnifying mirror. There is a shortage of sun loungers, so the early birds win! The breakfasts cater to all nationalities, and are very good. The SURFACE restaurant on the rooftop is the best-kept secret. Dining under the stars there makes you totally unaware of the craziness of Batong Street. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Flora Hotel in Patong Beach, Phuket. The location is very good as it is right on Patong beach but it has its own private lounge chairs for hotel guests only. It is like an oasis from the madness of the streets in Patong! We had a balcony suite overlooking one of the two pools which were also very nice. The staff were excellent and very accommodating. The property itself is very well maintained. The breakfast was very good with many options. Overall, we would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to be in Patong but would also like to be right at the beach and not have to deal with the crowds. It is not cheap but worth every penny!

Great hotel. Had everything I need and in the perfect location. I will be staying there again.

Always amazing stay at la Flora, perfect location, staff friendly and great welcoming. My fourth time staying here,

We spent 10 amazing days ,the hotel charged us (3 of us) £500 for New Year’s Eve party that didn’t happened due to rain and had been cancelled. They refused to refund the money !!!!

Great Location, right next to Bangla Rd and beachfront on a good part of beach. Lovely Staff. Well designed comfortable rooms

Vehicle traffic is little slow around the Patong beach. It takes long to reach the otel or the leaving the area for other places.

I like its zero distance accessibility to the beach with private sun-chairs, i like the shower facility in room, the breakfast was good too. However, if the room lighting could be brighter a bit that would be much better, or at least there's a control button to tune the light brighter especially for ladies to wear make-up.

Excellent just one word

I stayed in one of the pool and Beach front villas. It was amazing. I got a private pool and direct access to Patong Beach. It was located centrally to everything from shopping, restaurants and outdoors activities. The staff were so nice. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful staff and pleasant breakfast buffet. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay on beach front property in Patong.

Expedia said this hotel was a 5 star rated hotel but the staff claims they don't have have any star rating since it is a "resort". I would rate this a 2 STAR MOTEL USA STANDARDS. My room had mold on the roof and in the closet where water was leaking down. The entire room had a mold / wet towel / dirty laundry smell. It was so unbearable that I left a day early from my booking and the staff did not even offer a refund.

Fronts the beach

We stayed at La Flora for a compony retreat. There were 20 of us in total. The staff, the facilities, everything was top notch!! I would highly recommend this hotel is the best hotel ON THE BEACH in Patong.

The place to be if you want to enjoy the luxury of direct beach access from the hotel as well as being only steps away from the infamous Patong nightlife. The hotel rooms are facing each other, with a pool in between that can be a bit noisy.

Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Centrally located to Bangla Road which is the nightlife area in Pa Tong. The price was a little high though for a basic room. Will not stay again due to the price rates. Paid $230.00 for a standard deluxe room. This was more expensive than the Marriott.

"Excellent hotel amazing service from check-in to check-out given wonderful room that was very spacious, clean, snacks and drinks were restocked daily. The staff was one of the nicest staff we have ever encountered in Phuket and Thailand. They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the lobby. They also were able to recommend the good tourist spot to visit. Not to mention a fantastic location for a 5star luxury hotel, definitely our hotel when we visit again. Again Kudos to the outstanding staff especially: La feetah

Beautiful property. Room opened right out to the pool. Steps away from the beach and very close to Bengali night market. The service was incredible.

A beautifully located in maintained Hotel. Exemplary service and hospitality.

Staff very friendly and attentive trying keep property in a excellent condition. Breakfast very good and served before 11am.Beach amazing and walkable. I would recommend to everyone!

The property is great and in a great location. All the staff are amazing.

La Flora is one of the few beach front hotels in town on Patong beach. All other hotels require you to cross the busy street to access the beach. It us also within short walking distance to many town attractions including Bangla Rd. You are not trapped at some remote resort requiring car access to the town.

Nice location and quiet. Breakfast could be better options.. Overall just feels a bit outdated the hotel for the price. 3.5/5 I would stay again however I think the prices need to come down comparing to other hotels.

Our 2nd visit after 2yrs pandemic. All is fine except for the pillow which needs to be requested for hard ones. Friendly staffs, awesome breakfast buffets and amenities nearby. Great location too. Will be back again for the future stays.

Very close to beach!

Wonderful staff! Smile after smile! Right on the beach!! Took care of us all the time.

Great location on the beach. Great staff. My only complaint is the extremely loud wake up call at 8:00 every morning......Thai national anthem

The location and facilities are excellent. The staff were awesome. The extra help provided to the four of us was above and beyond what we expected when we booked. Would stay again.

Great place, great location, great staff

great location aircon very week

Great staff and beautiful property.

Great central location on the beach. Easy to walk to everything. right in the heart of Patong. one of the few hotels right on the beach. Direct beach access, most hotels on the other side of the road.

Surprisingly quiet considering it's location. Location couldn't be better.

Incredible location. It's on the beach. Nice rooms. Variety of rooms too. Two pools. Great breakfast. I love this hotel. Staff is one of the best around. The location is amazing. Can walk to everything and anything that you would want. Can be a bit pricey. I look for deals on internet sites and when I can get a sensible price. I take it. I highly recommend this Hotel

Wonderful staff, very fast room service, great breakfast, lovely pool, great beach - nice clean room with fast maid service.

Absolutely the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I started to cry when I had to leave. The staff was like family and the hotel was like a home to us. I couldn’t of wished for a better place to be. The Manager Rathipat (Lateefah) is absolutely amazing.

Attention to detail. Extremely good and friendly service from ALL staff. Ocean front location. Unhappy with junior suite accomodation where bathroom had no doors and no privacy while in the commode. Should have been advertised as such in your website

On the beach! Unfortunately right in the midst of a busy area. Beach is Not private.

Nice room but no view. No parking available because less than 10 car parking for the hotel.

Room good. My AC in my room died in the middle of the night, but we were offered a suite to tide thorough the night.. nice. Thanks.. but a little troublesome.. but they also let me keep the suite cos the AC still was down in the am. But kudos to service recovery!! Kop Khun Kap!

the staffs were very kind and it's location was wonderful!

If you want to explore the Patong beach and the town, it is the perfect location.

Its great location, friendly staff, only thing keeping I feel from getting a 5 star rating from me is there are some maintenance issues on and in the building.

The location is amazing. The staff is very attentive. Property is a little dated. Could use some up grades. I realize being on the ocean can be difficult to maintain. Bathrooms need a makeover. Loose the tub and improve overall look.

Great stay

The staff service are amazing and the food was good Good location on the beach

Amazing hotel amazing staff definitely recommend!

The resort is absolutely beautiful, it’s right on the beach couldn’t ask for more! The suite was beautiful and a beautiful view of the sea, all of the employees were absolutely fabulous and accommodating! Totally awesome resort!

Excellent location straight on to the beach. Excellent staff.

This place use to be nice

I don't like Bangla road. There is very horrible and This area is not at all for the family.

Overpriced!!!I've been to better 5-Star hotels.

Amazing service! Very friendly, excellent buffet, 2 pools, in the beach and right in the middle of Patong. Everything you could possibly want.

This hotel was nice and clean, professional staff and the complimentary mini bar was a nice touch

When we arrived at the villa we were greeted by an amazing staff from the security , front desk, maids and every staff in the hotel. Everyone was super helpful in helping us get acquainted with Patong Beach. Great hotel, great location steps from the beach and close to everything in the city to walk most places. Great hotel and the private pool was awesome too. Will definelty be back.

All the staffs are very polite and friendly. I loved the room, amenities and breakfast - especially Thai dishes were tasty. I only stayed one night in Patong at La Flora so it was a perfect location to walk around the town. Just so that some future guests will know, there is a beach club close by so it’s a little noisy till midnight; and if you like to enjoy the beach, it’s better to walk up south for the cleaner part of the beach. The beach in front of the hotel is kind of crowded.

This hotel is a quiet, upscale oasis in the midst of it all. Staff was great and very accommodating. Loved the amazing breakfast. Great property!

Great location right on Patong Beach with poolside chairs that look out onto the beach. There are two pools in the hotel and they were both relatively empty all three days that we were there which was nice. The rooms are decent, but I did expect a bit more luxury from a five-star hotel, especially for the price compared to other properties in the area. There was also a lot of construction going on around the hotel, making it pretty noisy and not very relaxing.

The location was a mixed bag—perfect for beach access (the beach itself is very crowded) but also right in the thick of things at Patong Beach (hordes of tourists and lots of street noise). I wasn’t ready for that. Still, it provided a nice respite from the intensity of the city. The staff was great, and the breakfast was terrific. My main complaint is that the hotel is starting to show wear and tear on the furnishings, the pool, etc. so I wasn’t thrilled with paying five star prices at a property that really doesn’t deliver a five star feel anymore. The fitness room was also small and rather sparse, but I was the only one in it so not a big deal. Overall our stay was fine, but if I go back to Pating Beach I will stay in a less expensive place—and one in a quieter location. Saw many options nearby.
