We enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again. Special thanks to the really helpful staff on reception. A travel cot was supplied when requested. I found an iron and hairdryer in the drawers on the day I left. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, with 2 pillows per person. This hotel doesn't have food on site, however we were told there was a local hotel where breakfast was available. There is a large room with sofas and tables and chairs on a patio outside. We used these to socialise - bringing your own food or drink is fine. We enjoyed using the indoor pool and facilities (closes at 7pm). The sauna and steam room have to be requested at reception and take a while to heat up. There are no showers by the pool so I would take a towel robe on my next stay to walk back to my room. The reception staff do offer additional towels to use at the pool (although they are fluffy microfibre towels that don't dry well). Our room was not cleaned during our 3 night stay but cleaners were around to ask for milk, teabags, toilet roll etc. There is free parking on site however it is a small free (non managed) space for about 7 cars. We were able to get a space providing we were back by 5/5.30pm each evening. The road outside had free parking but was busy the whole of our stay. Location wise it is a short walk into the town centre and cost about £8 to get a taxi back.

No shower in the pool area - even a small cold water shower would allow people to wash off after using the sauna before getting into the pool. Parking was a concern for us - I would rather have pre-bookable spaces that are paid for. I booked an additional room for our group via the Central hotel booking line (BHL hotels) - their communication was very poor with key payment details not passed on to the hotel itself . Sadly using booking.com was much smoother and well organised.

The hotel was clean and great value for money it just needs a little tidying up modernising a little but apart from that we had a brilliant time the pool and jacuzzi was amazing staff was brilliant especially the young gentlemen sat at checking in desk

Room could have had a small fridge, charging a couple of £ extra per night would soon recover the cost

Hassan was an incredible host, I extended my stay twice both due to his and the teams hospitality and for the incredible facilities which have been wonderful as I have been working from the hotel and recovering from a back injury so its helped enourmously to have staff willing to assist like he has been, helping me with things like a chair for my back and the housekeeping staff refreshed my room when I done the first extention - it was spotless and they carefully respected my things. I switched from the appartment to a suite but both are fantastic! He even went out his way to wake up early to allow me use of the pool due to my packed work schedule not fitting with the normal facility times. AMAZING STAY. Would highly recommend! 🫶

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Staff were incredibly polite and friendly, room was spotless. We entered our room to the fan on and window open, so the room was fresh. Beautiful swimming pools, garden and balcony, all very well kept. We will defiently be returning in the future!

Bed was slightly hard, however we slept very well on them! Unsure why the reviews are so negative- the price paid was more than fair for what you get in return and it's a beautiful place to stay at! Do not allow the negative reviews to put you off!

Very basic and decor tired. Toilet seat was so loose it was hazardous. The digital access is problematic for those with visual impairments.

The hotel was in a nice place centrally located for me. The room was large, clean and decently equipped

The toilet reservoir kept dripping all the time, some furniture in the room was damaged and the telly was on its last legs.

It didn’t represent the pictures advertised on booking.com. Whole place completely run down. In need of refurbishment. Unsafe and unclean. Do not stay here. Book elsewhere.

Apart from the staff, the entire hotel is dilapidated, stinky, damp, peelings on the walls, dirty worn out rugs and facilities begging for renovation.

I did not like anything there. Looks like booking .com scammed me. My family had to leave way before the due check out date. No food aound, expensive restaurants and choky hotel.

Everywhere was clean, the staff member excellent, setting lovely and street parking available. Fan in the room was much appreciated.

Accessing reception initially difficult but staff member excellent. For an apartment we expected utensils, crockery etc. We had 1 mug, minimal cutlery and no plates, bowls etc. If that was intentional then please make it clearer.

Did not look like what pictures showed. Decor needs up dating, painting, carpets need cleaning, rust on beams on ceiling of indoor pool. Didnt wish to you use indoor or outdoor pool after seeing them. Would i stay there again…. No sorry!

The location was great and the facilities were excellent for me and my friends. I wasn't actually expecting to have all the facilities. The stuff were very helpful and accommodating to any of our requirements and we've had a great time. Shame we were there for just one night, but we are already planning to go back for a longer weekend.

Could do with a a bit refurb as is a bit outdated, but has it's own charm and character.

The pools (indoor and outdoor) were superb. When relaxing by the outside pool, we felt like we were in the south of France. Being an adult only hotel was fantastic as it was quiet. The manager was so lovely, helpful and worked so hard. The room, although described as a small double and being the cheapest available, was in fact very spacious and comfortable. The security was excellent, with codes to get into the hotel and rooms. Although the car park was small, we managed to get a space every time we came back from a day out.

The room could have been decorated a bit better (just needed a lick of paint), as could the stairway and landing.

We were told the day before travel that the outdoor pool was closed. We therefore cancelled as their cancellation policy states that a refund would be offered. 6 weeks later they have refused to honour the refund and Booking.com have raised an official complaint but said there is no guarantee a refund would be forthcoming. We have stayed at the Crofton a few times over the last 2or3 years but rest assured we will not be staying there again!!

Looking a bit tired but that isn’t important to me

Unfortunately I did not have opportunity to do anything other than look at the facilities, sit in the lounge and sit on the end of the bed and lay back for 10 minutes as I received a call that forced a channge of plan and immediate departure! However, it seemed a great place, staff were lovely, the 10 minutes on the bed was comfortable and the pools looked inviting and I was very disappointed I did not get to use them. 10minute stroll to the beach. Excellent value. Limited parking but I had no issues as I arrived early.

Perfect location for me all the time we need for summer vacation are all nearby and walking distance. The staff most especially the front desk man at the reception is very friendly and helpful and easy to talk to. If we need something he easily responsed and always helping us. Highly recommended for vacation. Try it guys.

Requested refund and have had nothing back due to the room booked looking nothing like the pictures on the advert.. disgusting, had sink unblocked in the room and the bathroom stunk, view was none existing..

It was a dump, beautiful building, very tired and unkempt. Strong distinctive smell off weed. We did not stay and chose to cut our journey short. Not a place I would recommend at all Note - photos online do not represent the real hotel or maybe they do when it was renovated many years ago

We did not stay here as was not as described and didnt accommodate us well or listen to our request. Unable to get direct contact with hotel. When we got there we was told the hot tub is not working for 2 years.

The location is was only 15 min walk to the front. Room was fine.

I thought I booked B&B. Turns out no breakfast available at this hotel. Also touch key Pad front & bedroom door. I could just about see the numbers on the pad.

They had nobody at reception you had to ring a number and wait, there was no bar or breakfast which we thought there was, the room was small to hot, and very noisy early hours of the morning with people fighting outside, the pool area inside was not as clean with all leaves as you walked in, and the tiles on the bottom of the pool where coming off, the outside pool was not able to be used and the hottube had all green in it and hadn't been cleaned for years, the grass had been cut but not properly, fag butt's everywhere and the only food was pot noodle and crisps, radiators falling of the wall to our room and a light hanging all in all needs totally revamping then you can call it a hotel, also the smell of we think it was a staff member smoking weed as the smell was always strong going passed one room.

Very comfortable room, lovely friendly staff (especially the reception gent), nothing was any trouble. Hotel could have been amazing, of which im guessing i would have had to pay a lot more than I did. This was due mainly to the hotel being a little tired. Great value for money and location wasn't too bad.

It's not great if you have mobility issues as there is no lift in the hotel and the walk to the beach and local shop is very up and down hills. Limited parking is also an issue as you have only 1 side of the road in which you can park without getting a ticket, if no space is available in the car park.

Przytulny ogród z kolejnym basenem i bardzo pomocna i przyjazna obsługa w cenie pokoju gdzie indziej. Brak kluczy i wszystko na kody nie musisz się martwić gdzie zostawić klucz, nie zapomnieć itd.

Brak opcji śniadań. Tylko dlatego nie ma 10/10 poza tym super. Widać że ma potencjał rozwoju

Guy on reception was very friendly and helpful.

Other than the guy on reception in the evening there appeared to be no staff at all. No bar, no dining options. It feels like attempts have been made to refurbish the place, doors are new, electronic codes to get in and out, but in other areas it’s run down; we opened the curtains to find the glass window pane was completely cracked which was dangerous. Carpet stained, shower broken and taped together. Didn’t risk using the pool area.

We had a wonderful stay! The host was very friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room exceeded our expectations it was so beautiful and comfortable that we decided to extend our stay by two more nights. Everything was peaceful, and no one disturbed us during our stay. We also appreciated being able to come and go at any time, which gave us a lot of flexibility. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There were only a couple of very minor things worth mentioning, and they didn’t affect our stay. One of the windows couldn’t be opened, and we found an old, full bag of chips behind the curtain, which was probably just overlooked by the housekeeping staff. It wasn’t a big issue at all. As a small suggestion, it would be great if the outdoor pool could stay open until around 10 PM, and if a few pool toys, such as inflatables or a ball, were available for guests. Overall, these are just small suggestions, and they did not take away from our great experience.

The location was fantastic you walked 10mins and you was at the beach and the bars, the staff was lovely polite and would do anything to make you happy.

There was a few stains on the carpet a cracked window not a fantastic view as I payed for a suite. The shower head was in tape but come very loose when using there was a large crack in the ceiling too. The outdoor pool was out of order and when asked it would be done tomorrow when clearly he had no idea but the indoor pool was lovely but still needed some tlc as there was a lot of rust. There was a lot of ants in the garden area. We did book this hotel for the outdoor pool for this reason but there was no update on the website that this was out of order.

Wonderful stay again. I will continue to keep going back to crofton house. Beautifully clean and comfortable rooms and the manager Hassan always has the most wonderful welcome, nothing is too much and he is so accommodating and thoughtful and it makes such a difference. Would recommend for a simple. Peaceful stay.

The carpets were abysmal. Dirty and strong odour, we simply could not stay! Reception eventually offered elsewhere, but we had already booked the Hilton for the exact same price. No comparison otherwise. The grounds were overgrown. Whilst the room and reception appeared clean, the strong odour near same in bedroom was enough to put us off permanently.
