Loved it all- I will be back and will stay longer next time!

I was only there one night

The location on the water was superb. The service provided by all staff was excellent . The room was clean.

For a 5 star hotel, the following were shortcomings : no soap in the toilet room, instant coffee in the room, paint peeling on exterior walls, laundry in hallway 24 hours, all food facilities closed until 5 pm even though check in was at 3:00. Restaurant had limited choice of dinner mains other than beef

We could not stay because our dog was not booked in, but the lady at the front was very accommodating and helped us.

The booking did not get thd message about the dog.

bathroom and shower room floors were strangely slippery, baseboards in toilet room need to be cleaned properly

I wish the breakfast hours started earlier as we had to head out before it was available at 0900.

We stayed in an ocean-view King Suite, which exceeded our expectations. Tons of room and fantastic view, not to mention an amazing wood fireplace.

Everything was great. I especially liked the pro-level Nespresso coffee maker and pods.

The property is gorgeous. Plenty of amenities in the room, and the most comfortable trees I’ve ever slept on! Staff were attentive and helpful.

It took some time to get seated for dinner, however staff were limited, and I would have expected more attentiveness since the were not many diners.

Lighting controls were overly complicated.

A non-working fireplace when it is one of the main features is not acceptable. No adjustment to the room rate. No offer whatsoever even though we expressed our disappointment twice. Pet rate of $60 per night is excessive. Most places are $15-30 per night maximum. We arrived early and requested an early check in if possible. Not only was this not provided but in fact our room was not ready on time and the hotel was much less than busy from what we saw. Definitely room for a lot of improvement especially when charging your rates.

This is a spectacular place to stay. The rooms have an upscale resort feel. Views are great. Little bakery downstairs has delectable pastries! Restaurant is pricey but excellent food! Definitely recommend this place!

Great place we will be back.

The room was very comfortable, clean, cozy and had a great view. The dining room was freezing and the food was just okay. However, the dessert was OUTSTANDING. Cudos to the Pastry Chef. Suggestion: Renovate the dining room, paint the doors going in and out of the kitchen, the dirt on them is very off putting.

Such an amazing, quiet place to stay! We only stayed one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. Antoine was great to chat with and eager to make our stay a great one! Would recommend!

Our time at Sooke Harbour House was amazing. The location is second to none. The whole property has been newly renovated and the rooms have gorgeous front on ocean views. The restaurants also have great views and the food was extraordinary.. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The view from the room was excellent. The onsite restaurant, bar, and coffee “grab and go” were great. Excellent property. The only surprising thing was that the room doesn’t have air conditioning. They may not need it most of the time, however, it would have been nice to know ahead of time. We opened the small windows and used the fan provided. The windiest had screens. The sliding door did not. Leaving the sliding door open resulted in mosquitos in the room. I’m not sure if there is enough airflow with just the two small windows. Perhaps put a screen on the sliding door? It is easy to walk the Whiffin Spit from the hotel. Parking is easy.

This is a beautiful hotel. The service was awesome. Our room was spacious and the food was excellent.

I loved every single thing about this hotel. I was supposed to stay one night but fell in love with my room that had a balcony with the beautiful ocean view and the calmness of the property so I extended my trip by another night, which the staff was super helpful with. The hotel is newly renovated and everything is pretty much brand new. It's nestled away in a calm neighborhood and a walking distance from Whiffin Spit. I was amazed by my hotel room. The bed was big and comfy with fluffy pillows and sheets but it was the ocean view that took my breath away. Every morning, I would just sit on the balcony and relax with my coffee and watch the ocean. It's definitely the place to go if you want calm and quiet environment.

Our check in was a breeze.The first thing I said when we entered our room was WOW! Our room was amazing. The view of the water made me feel like I was on a cruise ship. The bed was one of the best I have ever slept in. It enveloped me, I could have stayed in bed the whole time. The staff was very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay memorable. We will be back.

We stayed the night. Our room was fantastic and the views were gorgeous. The room was very spacious. I would definitely go back. You can see the hotel is trying and so is the staff. They need to get their maintenance in order on their landscaping, and I would update the flooring in all the hallways so that they don't have to use those diffusers. The restaurant staff try hard, but they are not professional waiters and could use some guidance from professionals.

Guest service was awesome, such a beautiful place! a little pricey for one day stay, but worth it! it's beautiful to just relax, enjoy the view, the walk, clean!

What a view. Always wonderful when you can see the ocean from your bed. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared with touches like tomato coral and delicious sauces. We tried elk tartare and it was delicious. Couple areas of concern included: being out of many menu items, the fridge in our room was noisy and they struggled with the thin the lounge on our second night so we were unable to watch the hockey game. Overall we had a fantastic, relaxing stay. Just appreciate the hotel for what it is now and do not compare it to the former era

Beautiful ocean views and location is great with a lovely walk along the spit. We had a fabulous dinner at the restaurant, and the soaker tub was a great reward at the end of the day. Close to town for amenities and there’s a great drive up to Port Renfrew and stunning beaches along the way.

Could be a bit more clothing storage, a few drawers would be useful. And a fire log included would also be a nice touch, rather than having to purchase it separately.

Superbly comfy bed and beautifully appointed room with lovely view over the ocean. Plenty of room, sitting area, minifridge, kettle as well as coffee pod machine, huge shower, separate toilet, locally made eco high end toiletries, towelling robes and slippers. Outside sitting area, open onto shared patio above the sea. Friendly and professional staff. Great brunch, and useful albeit expensive onsite bakery selling croissant, bread, coffee etc.

Had some fun and games with the room lighting controls which are principally voice-controlled. Also, small point but would have appreciated some crockery and cutlery basics in addition to the mugs and glasses, since I don't think the hotel does room service and it's not our preference to eat all meals in house during a multi night stay. Some guests may not like the shared patio feature although we didn't see another person there during our stay.

The hotel is extremely quiet and the views are fantastic. A great place for a getaway weekend. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

We were delighted to see that Sooke Harbour House had reopened. The current owners are working very hard to provide top service to their clientel. The location is superb, nice walking, beautiful scenery and comfortable accommodation. Most importantly all the staff are friendly and welcoming. We look forward to enjoying another stay.

We had dined at the old Sooke Harbour House quite a few times a few years back thus we have been waiting for it to re-open. This time we stayed for one night during the week and had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. We really enjoyed the food (especially the Scallops/Risotto dish and the Mont Blanc dessert). We will go back again!
