Location had lovely views but was blocked by new apartments. Well equipped and was clean.

It was a building site which was disappointing found not good for the price paid .Very steep steps to the apartment .We could not take our main luggage up&down the steps with fear of falling . The equipment was up to date but needed a degree to work it.No instructions on how to work them all.You would need a car.

Die Couch war für unsere Kinder nicht aufgebettet, obwohl wir sie sls Zusatzbett gebucht hatten. Wir mussten spät abends selbst das Bett aufbauen

We loved everything about our room. Nothing was missing.

The only thing we did not like was the construction and the fact that it was not mentioned to us until right before check in. While we had a nice time, the construction could have made a big difference had we been there on a weekday. It really is not a good practice to not give a full description.

I couldn't have asked for more. This place is so peaceful, and relaxing 😌. The view is magnificent 👌 😍. Absolutely loved staying here and definitely coming back. Thank you!

Die Aussicht ist wunderschön, die Einrichtung ist modern und sehr großzügig. Natur pur, Meerblick, Adler und Seelöwen sind inklusive.

Einziger Kritikpunkt: sehr abgelegen, was die Lage in der Natur bekräftigt, aber vorher sollte man das Einkaufen zum Kochen mit einplanen. Restaurants sind auch außerhalb verfügbar, aber mit Fahrzeit verbunden. Wobei wir bei der Kulisse eh selbst kochen wollten, um das Panorama zu genießen.

The property was great, the only thing I didn't like was the carpets in the bedrooms. They show their age and they were dirty in general.

A lot of construction should be a discounted rate while that’s on going . And you are paying for the view yet our balcony glass wasn’t even clean, I’d suggest cleaning those every stay would go a long way, and no AC, the sliding doors should have a big screen option so you can open at night.

Amazing view, lovely and peaceful, very remote which helped you to switch off. Spotlessly clean with everything you would need in the kitchen and bathroom. They provided salt and pepper (we took cooking oil with us), coffee pods, sugar, dishwasher tablets, washing tablets, toilet roll, shower gel, shampoo etc. Well equipped kitchen with everything you’d need including a huge fridge freezer. Comfy sofa bed for the kids. Main bed was huge! Work is ongoing on the site but this didn’t bother us at all, once inside the properly it was very peaceful. Nice and well equipped gym with a lovely view.

The bed was a little too soft for my liking, though this might really suit others.

They have cleared the trees. The point is deforested and under construction, and the only trees standing are the new ones they planted. The mature trees that were already here did not need to come down. The now owners wanted this land for years before they got it, and then took it down. It matters where this is. East Sooke sits in the Coastal Douglas-fir zone, the smallest and rarest of BC's 16 ecological zones, with less than 5% remaining in natural condition and more species at risk than any other zone in the province. East Sooke Regional Park next door is cited as one of the best surviving examples of that forest. East Sooke is also known for taking conservation more seriously than the west side of Sooke. This site is the exception. The construction is loud, every day. If you want a peaceful stay, this is not it right now. And the harder part is what you do with your own attention. You will stand on a deck with a beautiful view and find yourself picturing the trees that used to be there, none of which were left standing, and picturing how little it would have cost to leave some of them. Keeping that out of your head takes real effort. That effort is part of what you are paying for here.

The layout of the condo. The ocean view was beautiful and the condo. was clean and comfortable.

The stairs down to the condo, the tight parking, and the distance to town.

The location is amazing! We got the compact one and for 2 parents and a toddler, it was perfect. everything new and clean. right next to the East Sooke regional park. will definitely come back.

The construction is still ongoing in the complex, however, this is only a visual problem. we haven't heard the construction noises from inside at all and the crew didn't start at unreasonable hours.

What a fantastic place, the view was nothing less than amazing - just as the apartment. And direct access to the trail was an added bonus. we enjoyed it to the full extent.

Top Lage auf der Klippe, sehr gute Küchenausstattung, freundliches hilfsbereites Personal. Weißkopfseeadler kreisen über der Terrasse!

Zu wenig Terrassenmöbel, nur zwei Stühle bei Vermietung für vier Personen. Zwei Personen schliefen auf Ausziehcoach, allerdings konnte das Zimmer (große Glasfronten) nicht abgedunkelt werden. Klimaanlage fehlt, die Wohnung heizt aufgrund der großen Glasfläche schnell auf. Reinigung der Fliegengitter und Fensterrahmen steht an.

A few maintenance issues like the sliding door being broken on one side and not able to open fully. It is a long drive from Sooke

Sorry unfortunately they couldn’t even get the door to our room open and we had to stay somewhere else. We have travelled the world with booking.com and I would have to say this was my first bad experience. We were very disappointed after booking we received an email from the property advising that they had construction work going on not before we booked but after the booking so we had no choice. There was a lot of construction going on reception was in a demountable building. The property should be upfront and have it on at time of booking.

The apartment is awesome, not just the view which is extremely beautiful, but the appliances, the furniture, the bathroom, everything is amazing. The most perfect place to feel like home and in touch with nature at the same time.

The views are absolutely stunning. Loved the quality of the furnishings, electric blinds, kitchenware. Comfortable beds and well thought-out layout.

Drainage in bedroom shower was slow and almost clogged- but two bathrooms so not a big deal.

Die Aussicht war atemberaubend und es hat einem bei der Ausstattung an nichts gefehlt. Appartment gehört definitiv zur gehobenen Klasse.

Sooke point was an amazing place to stay. We have stayed in some exceptional places all over the world however Sooke point is probably the best place we have stayed in, for just the wow factor. We stayed in the 2 Bed Ocean View apartment and the view was just stunning and watching the seals & otters from the balcony was just amazing. Also when you factor in the quality of the apartment with massive comfortable beds super clean everywhere and every detail taken care of we were only disappointed they we didn’t stay longer. If you want to switch off from the world and just relax bring your provisions (food & drink) and just soak up the luxurious apartment & view. Definitely coming back in the future.

Nothing however Sooke Point would benefit from somewhere to eat when the resort is finished. Or maybe somewhere to buy groceries.

Be aware that this property will charge guests for even minor damage after checkout, so expect close inspection and possible extra charges. The hotel is also an active construction site, which was not clearly disclosed at booking and negatively affected the stay. Although the room had a bathtub, the hot water supply was insufficient to fill it, making the bath unusable. Finally, the bed is extremely uncomfortable, and the pillows offer very poor neck support, making it hard to sleep comfortably. Overall, between the strict damage charging policy, undisclosed construction, and comfort issues, I would advise others to be cautious when booking.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but my experience at SookePoint Ocean Cottage Resort was very disappointing. We booked two separate rooms and clearly informed the hotel that these were separate reservations with different credit cards, yet charges were applied to my card without consent. After a child’s accidental nosebleed, we responsibly brought the stained bedding to the office to be washed. No one informed us that any charges would apply. Later, I was billed over $40 for a pillow, treated as replacement rather than normal cleaning. Although this charge was eventually refunded, other charges (a broken glass and undisclosed taxes) were still taken from my card — even though they related to the other room. Unprofessional handling and poor customer service. I would not return.

The cottage was beautiful and well apportioned. The location was absolutely gorgeous and although everything was at least 30 minutes away, it was worth it!

There were a lot of stairs, which I wasn't expecting, but that's relatively minor. The road to the site was a bit windy and felt unsafe at times, but that's hardly the fault of the resort.

The room was clean and WOW, what a view. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook a fabulous meal. It was a great getaway for just the two of us. We loved every minute of it.

Location is perfect, right on the water. Quiet and peaceful. The 2 bedroom condo was very comfortable and had everything you needed. the glass sliding doors are spectacular and hanging out on the balcony is amazing.

Hard to believe but there was nothing that we didnt like, Even the construction did not produce any noise and there is a big disclaimer on the website, but it did not impact us at all. Maybe we got lucky.

Beautiful remote location. Close to nature and abundant hiking trails.

We hired two great apartments with wonderful views, one facing the Pacific and the other with coastal views, both warm and comfortable for a six-night visit, great beds, plenty of hot water, decently equipped for cooking.

Bath towels need to be bigger, and a sharper vegetable knife would be good.

Peace and quiet. Felt as if I was part of nature. Outstanding. Will try to go again.

Liked everything.

We loved the location—SookePoint’s ocean view is incredible. We booked a Pacific View and were given Room 48C (top floor of the three). From the balcony you can watch seabirds feeding on the big rocks below, and most mornings seals swim right along the shoreline. The suite was spotless, tidy, and fully equipped.

Sadly got the smallest unit with limited views but lovely location for hiking. Bring what you need, it’s a long drive back to Sooke for supplies. Still under construction some noise in the am and lots of construction workers and equipment.

Absolutely amazing location overlooking the ocean full of sea life. Beautiful sunrises, and sunsets. The layout of the accommodation was excellent with beautiful full-size windows to maximize the view.

very beautiful views, nice trail near the property. Nowhere to eat, everything was 30-45 mins away on a very windy road. The place is heavily under construction which was not posted. The TV did not work properly and the fireplace gave off zero heat...just for show. Fridge leaked and the bedroom and bathroom doors squeaked alot, which woke up people

This place is as beautiful as it is remote. It was amazing views, beautiful cottage, it had everything except the food that you bring yourselves. I can't think of a place that a pair of binoculars should be in each cottage. They had a beautiful knife set...not one sharp knife. A nonstick frying pan wouldn't hurt either. You are inundated with emails before during and after you leave. Their online check in is atrocious, and the kicker is that they're building Phase 2, and when you're trying to have a lazy morning in paradise, it sounds like a war zone outside! Also you're immediately inundated upon entering your cottage you're assaulted with a giant list of DON'TS! Don't do this,don't do that,and the finale of your stay after paying several hundreds of dollars a night, they want you to haul your garbage and recycling up the hill to their garbage site!!!??? IN WHAT WORLD????!!! Absolutely ludicrous!

Neat little cottage apartment. Beautiful view as you walk in through the front door, was stunning. Well equipped. It may be a little ways away from town, but you can easily prepare yourself to stay for several days, everything you need in the cottage.

The resort is undergoing heavy construction of additional cottages. So much so, that during one of the days we were napping in the beautiful bed, when we heard pounding at the door and when I went to answer it, one of the construction workers asked us to move our vehicle from our designated parking space so they could move some machinery past it. I’m sure once the construction is done, it will all be fantastic.

Die Unterkunft war traumhaft, sehr sauber und komfortabel mit einem herrlichen Ausblick auf den Pazifik.

Das wir erst nach Buchung von der Unterkunft selbst eine Mitteilung über noch laufende Bauarbeiten bekommen haben, da das Resort aktuell noch im Aufbau / in der Erweiterung ist. Bei Buchung über Booking.com erhielten wir keinen Hinweis auf laufende Bauarbeiten. Zum Glück waren die Bauarbeiten zum Zeitpunkt unseres Aufenthaltes nicht sehr laut und damit nicht störend.

We booked a compact 1 bdr suite for 3 adults and a 16 year old. There is one bed and a sofa bed in the living room. If it is expected to use the sofa bed as advertised (4 people), then the living room needs a window covering so you get some privacy sleeping right by the floor to ceiling glass windows and you are not forced to wake up at 5 am in the morning because its t9 bright!
