Absolutely stunning hotel and location! We left our bags at reception as we hot there early. When we came back later they had our bags in our room which was wonderful! Great staff!

I have been a regular Summer visitor for the past 3-4 years , with weekly booking for the month of July & August , sometimes in September as well ; usually for 2 -3 rooms . the cost has increased every year . I used to stay at the Sooke Harbour Marina rental ( 2 bedroom unit ) for roughly $350 per night for 3 -4 of us ; now 2 rooms at the Prestige almost doubled the price ; and you don't have a fridge and kitchen facility .

The amenities were great but the ones I wanted to access were only open on the weekend. I thought the price should have reflected that. We didn't know that the firepits and the bar were Open on the weekends only when we booked.

That everything wasn't open and available. No robes in the room for going to the pool. However everything that was open the pool and restaurant were fantastic. And the rooms were nice with the view but the furniture slightly scratched up

It was very difficult to find a single positive to this hotel after such a bad first impression at the front desk. I would never stay here again after how rudely I was treated. This hotel needs to get a handle on their staff.

The staff person at the front desk when I arrived was the rudest person I have ever encountered in the hospitality sector in all of my travels and years of experience working in hotels. I had been approved for a 1pm check-in in the app but when I arrived at 1:15pm he treated me dismissively and with complete DISDAIN and told me there was no way anyone had granted me an early check-in and to come back at 4pm. He was argumentative and arrogant, instead of helpful. I understand that miscommunications and mistakes happen, but not only did he not apologize, he doubled down and blamed the fault on me. He didn't believe me that I had talked to someone from the Prestige, even when I showed him the message from Elizabeth! Worse still, he refused to try to help me find any sort of solution (e.g. switching to a different room type, asking me to wait til 2pm, contacting housekeeping to ask for the room to be prioritized, etc). His only suggestion was that he could just cancel my reservation and I could go elsewhere. Unbelievable. The least service oriented individual I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. If it wasn't for his friendly and problem-solving coworker swooping in and finding me another room easily (which was the same type of room I had booked, so why did he say nothing was available?) this hotel would not have gotten a cent from me.

The rooms were tiny and dark and eerie.

A gem in the wilderness. The hotel was built to the highest quality of finishing and materials. The rooms are limited as to those with views, and if you desire a view it will cost you significantly more. The room was new and well decorated. Excellent Sony TV, but very soft bed (mattresses). The bathroom had no ventilation/fan. The staff were totally unfriendly and not professionally trained.

The common places are beautiful. We found some nice spots to sit and enjoy the sun and scenery. We really enjoyed our balcony overlooking the courtyard with views of the ocean. The guitarist in the courtyard on Friday was just fabulous! We also enjoyed our dinners on the outdoor patio overlooking the ocean.

The whirlpool jets didn't work. There was a sign where the fire tables were situated that said private event, but there wasn't any event going on, so we didn't seek having a fire table turned on to enjoy. This was a disappointment. Also, there should have been daily entertainment to make this a true resort experience.

Amazing views, comfy bed, spacious rooms, on-site cafe and restaurant were both great.

A little pricy, hot tub jets weren't functional so would have liked that to be working

The hotel was beautiful, and the room was spacious and comfortable. We even saw a few seals swimming in the water, which was a wonderful surprise. We especially loved visiting the Sooke Potholes—they were absolutely stunning.

They have nice chairs to relex outside so we really missed a FREE coffee and tea to take when you are in the lobby. Its not a cheap place so breakfast incl would be nive too but we really missed to just grab a coffee to enjoy the nice view. I rather stay somewhere else.....not really my place...sorry.....something smaller and more inviting is my place

Fabulous hotel. Lovely location. Great view from our room over the ocean. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Very clean. Good amount of space to lay out toiletries in the bathroom. Excellent restaurant. Just wish we'd had longer here and used it as our base to visit the east of Vancouver Island instead of moving about as we did. The hotel seems very popular with families, and I can see why with its pool, lovely sandy beach and activities nearby.

Because the hotel is popular with families we suffered alot of noise from neighbours with noisy children in the corridor in the evening, knocking on and banging doors, and a loud tv next door. Fortunately the hotel has a quiet policy from 23h00 to 07h00 so we did finally get some peace!

I'll have to say the manager was quite disrepectful here on Monday June 29th at noon. We book here every year and because they closed their marina on this day they won't give us the same access for the paddle boards tomorrow. Kind of disrespectful and she wasn't polite, and rude if you ask me. This will be our last stay here. Even though we stayed more than 10 times here in the last.

Das sehr große Zimmer war ansprechend, aber nicht super modern ausgestattet. Die Sauberkeit angemessen gut. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Besonders Janina und Stefanie im Restaurant. Das Hotel hat ein tolle Lage am Inlet.

Manche Zimmer haben die Nähe zur Strasse mit durchgängigem Verkehr. Leider ist die Gestaltung der Anlage durch Wendeflächen für Autos am Ufer verschandelt. Die Bar liegt ungünstig im Foyer: ohne Aussicht!. Die Möbel im Foyer müssten gereinigt oder ausgewechselt werden. Leider war die Klimaanlage sehr laut!

There was a wedding on one of the nights we stayed at the hotel and there was partying going on until 230 am in a room very close to ours which made it difficult to sleep. We also were provided with breakfast vouchers however could not use them in the restaurant on Father’s Day as the buffet had a standard more expensive breakfast. I advised I would pay the difference however the seating hostess said they could not accept my vouchers. She then recommended we go to the coffee bar as they would accept them as an exception and one time only. Also due to the wedding there was no parking at the hotel available for us and we had to park down the road from the hotel and walk along a very busy road.

Wunderschönes Hotel direkt am Wasser, sehr große Zimmer mit tollem Ausblick aufs Meer. Wir haben abends im Hotel sehr gut gegessen!

Disappointing experience. The shower/tub had extremely poor water pressure, making it largely unusable. The checkout follow-up was also unnecessary and rude—two calls within 10 minutes after a late fee had already been applied. We were delayed due to an injury, yet neither the front desk nor room service showed any empathy to understand. Overall, in 20 years of travel, we have not encountered such disappointing lack of customer focus and care.

Staff - at both front desk and in the West Coast Restaurant were unhelpful and seemed to just not like to accommodate guests.

Very comfortable and spacious room. Convenient restaurant and bar right downstairs, which was appreciated since I traveled by bike and would have had to bike further into town for food. View from the resort is excellent and, with agreeable weather, would be a great place to hang out outside. I wanted to also give a word of appreciation to the resort staff. I forgot my reading tablet in the hotel room. They patiently worked with me through multiple phone calls and emails to get the tablet back to me in the US. Thank you for going above and beyond what was just a one night stay in the resort.

The food in the restaurant is slightly overpriced for what it is, but you get the location convenience.

Rooms and facilities (when open) were great. 1 member of staff stood out by far..

I paid a lot of money for this hotel and it appears to me that it wants clients who will head out through the day and just go to bed at night. There is no food, entertainment or even a bar available after 9pm. No bar at all Monday or Tuesday.

It's a very nice hotel, in a beautiful location but it's a bit remote. The back side of the hotel has a lovely water view.

I booked a king suite with a nice bath for our 25th anniversary. We brought our 2 kids with us, but the layout was not what we expected! The kids had the room with the privacy (the room with the sofa bed), our king bed was out in the common area. Furthermore the bathroom was not attached to the private room, but it was off to the side of the hallway when you first walk in. Above the tub, there were wooden shutters, so odd. So if you shut them for privacy, you can still hear everything since it was not just a solid wall. We had a little balcony which was nice, but it overlooked somebody's lot that had a bunch of boats parked on it (we were on the side of the building). We could still see the water which was nice, but also this messy looking lot. For the money we paid, we felt disappointed. ALSO, the only place to plug in the coffee maker was on the floor of the hallway when you walk in!! We also felt the sofa bed was super small, it was supposed to be full but seemed smaller than a full and only really sleeps 1 bigger kid comfortably. We made our daughter a makeshift bed with couch cushions and blankets, since they said they had no extra cots or anything like that. I wanted to come here for a long time and just expected more. Next time I'll go to Oak Bay Beach Hotel in Victoria. Also we weren't that impressed with the pool.

I was able to stay in Sooke over the weekend (May 9) and was amazed on how beautiful the hotel is. The staff were welcoming upon check in explained the hotel amenities. When I got into the room I was amazed by the size of the room. Riley was pleasant and very welcoming (Good fit in the front desk Team )

I loved everything about the property.

It would be so even better if there was a little place to purchase things we may have forgotten to pack (like toiletries) and it would also be nice to be able to purchase snacks or local treats/souvenirs for those of us from the states.

This is a great resort. It was quiet and our King Room with Sofa Bed and Partial Water View had what it looked more like a full view of thew water and boats. Very peaceful! The staff was very friendly and the room service was great. The restaurant (West Coast Grill) had great food and service and the Island Tarts Cafe too. We highly recommend this resort and hope to stay there again!

I was told in my booking I can get complimentary bikes there were three bikes outside all the time but I was told by the staff not available

The building is absolutely gorgeous, the food even better. My husband was heading out on a fishing charter in the morning(hotel right on the marina), so I decided to make a date night out of it. Sunrise was breath taking.

I really cant complain about anything, other than there wasnt any water in the room. The is a vending machine but when I woke up I was super lazy and was enjoying the most amazing sunrise. no negatives here

The gym was great, the staff were friendly, the restaurant food was good. Room was comfortable with a good view (king premium balcony view)

Bed was a little sunken in/too soft. Water pressure was too low. A friend staying in an accessible suite was very far from the lobby/entrance. Those rooms should be closer to the front desk. TVs are not smart TVs (no Netflix/streaming).

I had high hopes for my stay but so many small details let the whole place down. Poor inexperienced staff at check in, locals seemed to take priority over staying guests for dinner reservations and small details and quality were poor. Laminated menus, cheap plastic jam containers, having to give way to staff in lifts cleaning the hotel. Rooms were limited for bathroom toiletries, no mini bar or water in the room

A very good looking property with lovely interior decor. Nice bedrooms although very noisy fridge and air con machines (although very effective air con). Lovely location on the waterfront and I expect very busy in the summer. Pool area was nice. Gym very well stocked with machines and weights/cross trainers/bikes/treadmills.

Beds were too soft; sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable- only suitable for a small child. Loud venting/fans as our room was next to the elevator. Balcony half faced a crappy looking boatyard and was over the long driveway where deliveries happened and garbage was picked up. Loud!

Location and view are outstanding. Staff in hotel and restaurants were helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated.

Water pressure got low when you turned up the hot water. The shower got hot enough but if you wanted more pressure you had to turn it to cooler water.

We had an awesome three night stay at the Prestige in Sooke. Some of the things that impressed us most: A beautiful spacious, dog friendly ocean front room with balcony. Of course, we paid extra for the ocean view but it was completely worth it. With an off season promotion, we got three nights for the price of two, and with mild sunny January weather, we were able to take advantage of the balcony all three days we were there. I’m not one to typically buy an upgraded room, but in this case I’m very glad we did. We drive an EV and we appreciated the complementary charger in the underground parking. The “kitchen” facilities in the room were an unexpected bonus. In addition to the standard bar sized fridge was a kettle, toaster, microwave and a supply of plates and cutlery. Since the unit wasn’t advertised as a kitchen unit, these amenities came as a pleasant surprise. Pleasant, accommodating staff; half an hour after check in we got a call from the front desk asking if our room was satisfactory, a little touch you seldom see these days. One item of note is that their TV’s aren’t currently “smart” TV’s that allow streaming from your devices. They come with a large selection of cable channels, including the major Canadian sports channels, but if you want to stream, bring your laptop and an HDMI cord.

The room was nice and comfortable. We didn't use the restaurant and our view was only a walkway but with lots of greenery.

I am diabetic and had a "low" at 3:30 am. When my husband went down to the lobby to see if he could get something for me there was no one at the front desk! Fortunately he found a vending machine with regular pop. It surprised us that the front desk wasn't staffed overnight.

Our party booked a total of 6 rooms in your hotel, and we were wanting to have a small area where we could run a tab and offer our guests a drink and/or appies on the Friday night. We were told at the front desk that this would not be a problem holding this at the fire pit but to speak with the restaurant. We spoke with the restaurant upon entering and she said it was not a problem. When we finally got everyone organized and settled at the fire pit, we were told by the bar tender that we were unable to run a tab. This was very embarrassing. My husband had to take a couple of guests up to the restaurant, order each round and pay as we went. We had already paid for a number of rooms and we were not going to pay another large fee for one of your private rooms. Also, when coming back late and the hotel is full, there was nowhere to park. We did manage to get a spot in the EV parking after speaking with the front desk.

I think it was too expensive for what we got. The bed wasn't comfortable. I called ahead to arrange a pack n play in my room, and that wasn't done. The pool was kinda dingey. There isn't enough signage.

Felt it was a bit sparse - the pool area and shower room very sparse, cramped - had to call for pool towels - these looked worn and ready for a fresh batch to be bought - no toiletries in shower room .
