A really comfortable hotel, not just the room but the public places including the bar/bistro and reception area too. Staff were genuinely friendly and very helpful. Bed was comfortable, and the bedroom including bathroom was spotlessly clean. Although no cooked breakfast is served, the cold buffet breakfast food selection was fantastic and included cereals, juices, cheeses, cold meats, fruits, boiled eggs, toast, breads, yoghurts, croissants and an assortment of pastries. Car parking access and availability was not an issue.
Everything was great. No dislikes.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026The breakfast if good. It suits me but lots of people probably would prefer a cooked breakfast. The hotel is very convenient for me and also being in the center of the town is brilliant.
I do find the cost can be a bit excessive at times. We have got some good deals sometimes as we have stayed there quite a bit.

The breakfast buffet was lovely, fruit salad, all sorts of cereal, the best home made bread and raspberry jam...Our bedroom was spotless and the cuppa and biscuit a welcome extra.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Das Zimmer war gross und schön. Es hat auch genügend Parkplätze hinter dem Hotel. Obwohl das Hotel direkt an der Strasse liegt, war es Nachts sehr ruhig. Wir wurden an der Rezeption gut beraten wo wir Fahrräder mieten können. Da wir früh abgereist sind, haben wir nur eine Frühstücksbox mitgenommen. Das Frühstück bietet jedoch eine grosse Auswahl. Das Essen in der Bar nebenan war gut. Wir würden hier wieder buchen.

Breakfast was a let down. Only a cold buffet offering, and a few flies in the warm weather joined us as unwelcome guests. It's an easy fix to provide food coverings to keep flies off the food, but one that was lacking.

The room was too hot. We had to leave the window open all the time, even all night every night. It really does need air conditioning. Also shower over bath is not ideal ... very dangerous as was very slippy and no bath mat provided.

I think we struggled a bit to get the room temperature right (but it was unseasonably warm, so I'm not sure there's much to be done on that). The breakfast was good -- I am always wishing for more fresh fruit than whole apples, though.
