Cambria Hotel Raleigh-Durham Airport

I flew into the RDU airport after 10:00 pm. After getting my checked bag, I called for a shuttle to the Cambria Hotel. I was there in about 8 minutes. I was greeted and was in the room in 5 minutes. The room was very spacious with a sitting area, bedroom, fridge, microwave and a Keurig. I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend the Cambria in Morrisville, NC for a comfortable stay near the airport and the Research Triangle Park.

Despite the under 90% sanitation grade and a few necessary upgrades or repairs that need to be made it was not a bad stay. The pool and Bar were clothes and I'm guessing that has something to do with the sanitation grade. Breakfast was average for Hotel chain. They did have hot items like omelettes and different types of meats.

I stayed here only to catch an early morning flight. Plusses: Price was very reasonable. The property was clean and room was up-to-date. I had a quiet, comfortable nights rest. Free airport shuttle was prompt and efficient. Minuses: I arrived at 4 pm, had no transportation and on-site food was very limited. Many of the microwavable meals were out of stock, and there were no healthy snacks to speak of. Also the coffee maker in my room was defective and it's essential for me to jump-start an early rising. Luckily the lobby coffee was already available and it was very good. I didn't have time to sample their breakfast.

This review is for the shuttle service they offer. We paid to park at Cambria and shuttle to RDU and after the trip to be shuttled from RDU to their hotel where we parked. JUST DON’T, after waiting 45 minutes we paid an uber to take us to the hotel to get our car. NEVER again! To my knowledge they never showed up after telling us they would be there in 5-10 minutes.

Very good front guest services and the bar food was actually good - I recommend the salad with a protein.

Old. Needs serious updating. Ac not working in most of the hotel. No coffee maker in my room. Breakfast was a disaster. Employees did not show up for work. I got food. Coffe was old and cold. Ceiling was leaking. Terrible experience. Will never go back to Cambria.

Great location very close to the airport. Good price that includes breakfast! The room was spacious.

Furniture and fixtures looked dated. I couldn't get a toothbrush anywhere. Staff offered me toothpaste but no toothbrush, even for purchase. The vending machine on the 3rd floor seemed to be broken so I couldn't get a drink. And no bottled water was provided in the room.

By the airport

Unfortunately, the hotel did not match the photos advertised on Booking.com. The pool has reportedly been closed for years despite being shown in the listing, and the bar shown online was not in operation. Both our original room and the upgraded suite were outdated and poorly maintained. The upgraded room was still dirty, missing a coffee maker, had lifted carpet creating a tripping hazard, and the shower did not function properly. Overall, the property felt neglected and was not what we expected based on the listing. When we requested compensation due to the condition of the hotel and the inaccurate amenities, management declined to offer any refund or credit.

This is the worst place I ever stayed at, refrigerator not working, and smelling like mole when first entering the room transfer to another room refrigerator not working, will never again consider this place

It is old and run down. The breakfast had limited options. It was exactly what I was expecting for the price.

Showed up late at night after flight cancellation with no toiletries. The hotel had everything but a toothbrush. Dominique at the front desk went the extra mile to find me a toothbrush. It was a nice end to abad day. I will stay again.

This hotel was disgusting. The elevator was unsafe. The outlets did not have covers. Things were broken, scuffed.

Room was clean, though we were there for ONE night and up very early to catch a 6 a.m. flight, left hotel at 4:15 a.m. so very few services were available.

The hotel rooms are very nice -comfortable beds. The staff were okay. Our room was missing its coffee pot. Not a big deal because there was 24/7 coffee downstairs. I did not get my 5am wake up call. Good thing that I set my phone alarm or I would have missed my shuttle to the airport. I have stayed at Cambria before and this was disappointing. Its location near the airport is excellent.

### What didn't you like? Unfortunately, the location's convenience was misrepresented to me, as I had specifically chosen this hotel based on an employee’s claim that it was close to the VA Durham, which proved to be inaccurate. My experience was hindered by the front desk staff, who seemed consistently distracted and not attentive, making it difficult to receive efficient assistance during my stay.

Stayed two nights scheduled around flights at RDU airport. Room was spacious with a business desk area and airport shuttle was very convenient. Breakfast included was generous with a great selection. Unfortunately, their pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance. It could use some updating but was clean and comfortable. As with most hotels lately they could use more electrical outlets near bedside.

Location was good. There was a good variety for breakfast which we enjoyed. It was clean the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was good for an ensuite having all we needed, clean towels etc..

This was definitely a mid range hotel, I thought it would be a bit more up to date. I asked to buy a bottle of water it was almost $4 for a 500ml bottle. Coffee tray in room was a minimal provision. Generally it was ok. Staff were ok, pleasant enough. It was a bit of an impersonal service. Ok for an overnight stop near the airport before moving on to elsewhere.

Did not specify pool in inoperable, said they did not have enough bedding for the couch bed (which was the only reason we booked this room and had to go purchase some) hot water doesn't exist (just warm), front staff was rude when asking for the bedding and didn't even come around the corner to talk just stayed in her chair with phone off to the side, for the price they charge you would expect more, not a cheap hotel experience.

Yo! This building is beautiful outside and in the lobby, very modern and esthetically pleasing. The breakfast was very good. But what makes the hotel special are the staff. The 3 staff I interacted with during my stay on 5/9-5/10 were phenomenal: Dominique, the guy that is from my home area Enfield/Medoc, and the woman on breakfast bar were all respectful, cordial, helpful and great to talk to. They made my stay enjoyable and worthwhile.

This building is beautiful outside and in the lobby, very modern and esthetically pleasing. But in our room?!? No. It was dark, the wallpaper was peeling from the walls and held up with clear tape (no lie), had mold spots on the wall, and the bed springs kept making a loud popping noise each time you get on/off as well as being sunk in. I've got pictures! All for $293!

Let me first start with the only positive and that is that the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. We booked 3 rooms and one smelled of smoke. They moved us to another room and that one had mold running down the wall as well as one of the other rooms. There were roaches crawling on the floor. One room had only one tv, and no phone. We pulled the covers back on a bed and saw a disgusting stain that was from who knows what. We were told the pool was under maintenance just to find out the same story has been told since 2023. They sent us to use the pool at the hotel next door only to find out theirs was also under maintenance. I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel. Half of my guests left and I couldn’t wait for the morning so that I could check out as well.

It was very clean very nice inside. The breakfast was a welcome edition. Our room was absolutely spectacular.

The rooms were excellent. The bed was super comfortable. And the shower was amazing…the shower head produced the perfect stream of water. The breakfast selection was quite good also.

Nothing really. You are super close to the airport which means it can get loud when a plane is taking off or landing. But you expect that when you book the place. Didn’t particularly like the pillows though. But that is personal preference.

The reason my survey seems off is that their website claims to have a bar and restaurant, which it had neither. I chose Cambria for location, price and restaurant. This forced me to find somewhere to eat in a unfamiliar area.

It us located near the airport. They allow pay for parking while you travel from RDU. $12 per night.

The hotel desperately needs updating. They did not do a good job cleaning the rooms. Was told it was a non smoking facility. You could smell smoking in the hallways. Curtains were falling off the rods.

Recently went to hotel not a very good experience customer service was mid first room 310 the door room wasn’t open then after going to front desk 2 twice finally got another room which wasn’t the cleanest the lights by the couch wasn’t working to top it all over the bed has bed bugs

I checked in with my kids and it was fine until we went out to the mall and returned back to the room there was roaches coming out of the wall tv and the tv stand by the beds. At first there was one or two but later we saw many in the room. It was infested with roaches. My kids were not able to sleep the night. I was only there for a night as we were headed to the airport in the early morning. It was disgusting. I let them know at the front desk and they said the manager would call me back but never did. When I called the manager the next day they said they will let pest control know. I would appreciate my refund and until now have not received one.

The beds are softer than I prefer. Elevator made a bang as doors were closing. There was some carpet that was coming up and some paint on the walls that was coming apart. The room was a bit cold.

Almost missed our flight. Put in for a wake up call but never received it.

Check in was easy and the clerk was super friendly and helpful. I had never stayed at Cambria and was a little hesitant. Could not have been happier with the experience. Room was clean and bathroom was stocked with amenities. Breakfast was a nice bonus - hot and cold options. I will definitely stay here when flying in/out of Raleigh.

Dark rooms. They need more lighting. The pillows were very stiff. The carpet even in the hallway needs to be replaced. Close to airport.

This hotel is darkly lit and out of date. They advertise a bar, however, there was nothing in the bar. Our room was very dark. Our door looked as if someone/something was scratching trying to get in. Only one bed was wrapped in a full mattress cover. The heat smelled awful when it was turned on. There were so many water spots on the ceiling. The wallpaper was peeling from the wall. We were in this room for approximately 5 hrs total before we saw a roach crawl from around the microwave and fridge area so we left.

I've stayed in Motel 6 that were in better condition than this facility. I'm a Diamond Elite Choice member and this is my first and last experience with a Cambria location. A property is in need of major maintenance ..nothing works. Likes of burnt out and almost every room ice machine doesn't work and the HVAC system makes blowing noise then a broken refrigerator.

It is old and in need of great update!!! At 11:30 pm very young people were fighting and banging on the room doors only feet from my room ! Trying to break into maybe girlfriend room?? It was a domestic fight!! On the 4th floor ! I didn’t feel safe

Great location for flying out of airport. Easy access no traffic room was clean stay was very nice. Breakfast was like most hotels but hot and ready at 0600

Room temeperature was high. AC console not working to adjust the heat , neither AC device have options to adjust the temp.

Their airport shuttle started too late in the morning and finished too early at night for me to use. Negating the main reason I selected the hotel.

Based on other reviews, I expected better. Curtains were ripped, phone had no cord connecting to outlet(making it useless), tv was not a smart TV, juice dispenser was out of order for breakfast, waffle maker was out of order and no regular coffee kcups were available ( asked at desk, they were out). Felt like a business that was experiencing cash flow issues or just poor management. Would not recommend and will be looking elsewhere for our next stay.

Very wonderful staff. Rooms are nice and spacious. Great rates. Always clean towels when you need them and rooms always smell great every time I stayed. Close to everywhere just a hop on the highway either way.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It had a beautiful lobby/sitting area/breakfast area/ bar and I loved the roomy suite. I had an early morning flight so I was unable to have the included breakfast and the pool was closed for maintenance which was disappointing but I would definitely rebook here if I were in the area.
