Clean rooms,
Pleasant friendly staff. Reasonably priced bar tariff (for a hotel). Undergoing refurbishment.

Breakfast was good
Rooms old, musty and moldy. Changed rooms and second room slightly better but still unacceptable. We were woken up at 3am with someone trying to access room, fortunately we had the door locked. Will never stay here again!
Everything.
No WC cleaning brush.
Fabulous staff
Rooms basic
Close to where I needed to be
Price of drinks
Reception staff was very friendly and helpful
Just looks a bit tired in the rooms but they are spotlessly clean
Great location and hosts

Room 220. Lovely size bed. Helpful staff.
No microwave, like they have for guests at the holiday inn.
Handy location just off the motorway staff helpful and friendly
Very good
Clean and moderately furnished

Breakfast taste is good but not much choice. Got some issues with the room, but the staff Oni listened to me and resolved the issue.
I have changed room 3 times during my stay. Air-con, hairdryer, lighting were broken, the shower was multi-direction. TV doesn’t have connection. The staff came at 11pm tried help me to fix the hairdryer and he said he would get someone to fix it in the next morning, but it didn’t happen.
Location
Showers are very poor , leaked and no water pressure
Location is good
“Chef” on holiday so had to drive out to a restaurant AC extremely noisy
Unhelpful arrogant and lazy staff
It was functional for us, if it was for a special occasion I would have been disappointed. Staff were very nice
The room had a musty smell on arrival, shower cubicle could have done with a better clean. Only one pillow per person, but requested more. Never been for breakfast with you have porridge pots you have to make yourself. Hot Drinks in machine were very strong they all tasted the same. Reception smelled of weed when we were checking out.
Toilet or Bathroom its a rubbish orr water leakege problem orr tooo much bad smell...... inside the bathroom
Very comfortable and served the purpose
Difficult to find using the postcode
Easy to find and convenient
Every time I check in they first give a room which is not pleasant with so many damages and then when you tell them the staff said they wasn’t aware. Like how does the hotel do Inspections and don’t get the room fixed but then say that room is available.
Location
[ ] Sensor light kept going on and off [ ] Wifi was terrible [ ] Bed was the worst ever slept in [ ] Mould in bathroom and marks everywhere [ ] Very limited Vegetarian options for breakfast [ ] No ironing facilities in room

Bathroom was very small
A very basic room for a quick overnight stopover. It was clean and the staff were welcoming.
The hotel is very run down. Furniture is cheap, old and mismatched. The lighting is very poor. The mattresses are old and need replacing. The breakfast was passable but the drinks machine is unacceptable and needs cleaning or replacing. It’s sad that this hotel has been allowed to decline so badly.
Breakfast and room
Clean and convenient.
Beds not very comfortable
Hotel itself is somewhat tired but the great staff (all) more than made up for it
Clean and spacious room.
There is no sign visible from the road with the name of the hotel. It has another sign which was little confusing to know if you are at the right place.
Location and price and cleanliness
Shower water wasn’t not coming enough
Good breakfast and good location
Bed was hard
Staff very helpful.. great selection for breakfast. Would stay again when we return to Birmingham.
Convenient location to drive in/out of Birmingham and to Alexander Stadium
Toilet flush in bedroom 312 was a bit temperamental
Lovely decor really clean and comfortable
Nothing!
I liked just about everything. The bar, the restaurant, the massive bed, the location, the friendly & helpful staff - but don't let that make you put up your prices!
If I'm being picky then the rooms and corridors are a bit tired and need renovating- my dressing table had along cigarette burn on it. But for the price I can't really complain. It's great value for money and you'll probably put your prices up after it's had a makeover then I won't be able to afford to stay there anymore..
Nice clean and helpful staff
Location good
No access to order or purchase drinks after 9pm
Good location. Clean rooms that were quiet.
Restaurant not open, but room was comfortable, clean and tidy
The restaurant could of been open and available bar snacks would of been great. The pillows were a bit soft
Still waiting for answering about my booking
My sat NAV had an issue finding it but we managed in the end after several "do a u turns" The hotel was nice and clean and welcoming. Check in was fast with no problems. The room was a decent size and the bed was surprisingly very comfortable. Small bathroom but for the time you spend in there it didn't matter. Adequate tv channels and ample tea and coffee. Breakfast was pretty good. Basic full English with toast and condiments etc., serial, fruit and yoghurts. It was all very good and nice and hot, though we did have to wait for eggs and bacon to be cooked, it wasn't long. The staff were very polite and pleasant. I enjoyed my stay at Redwings lodge.
The floor as you walk in the door is torn and worn, not giving a good first impression as was the bathroom floor. The shower and cubicle were old looking and stained. A bit of a bathroom refurb is needed and floor replacement.
Convenient position very comfortable Clean and staff very welcoming

Quick response from the staff.
No sir conditioning
Friendly staff. Air conditioning in double room. Nice food in restaurant and great breakfast considering the price.
Guests clearly smoking in downstairs twin rooms. Possible these rooms are being used for longer term tenancies but the smell was incredibly strong and very difficult to imagine staff couldn't smell it too. I had my young son with me and did not want him subjected to that. Thankfully the staff were very kind and accommodating in moving us upstairs away from the smell.
The food and the price is ok, however the service is not great.
This hotel falls far short of a 3-star standard. The traffic noise is constant due to the hotel's location right next to the busy M5 motorway viaduct and Wolverhampton Road. Internally, the soundproofing is practically non-existent. The walls are so thin that you can hear people shouting in the hallways and slamming doors long after midnight. On top of that, the room is filled with a barrage of plumbing noises, a loud AC unit, and a constant, annoying electric humming sound that persists even when everything in the room is switched off. To make matters worse, the interiors are completely worn out. The furnishings look shabby, the carpets are noticeably stained and dirty, and there is a persistent, unpleasant drain odor lingering in the corridors. I would not recommend staying here until major updates and repairs are made.
Nothing really
Got given a key to a room that was occupied by another guest at 11pm at night and so did some else who walked into a room where there was a naked female. The partner was fuming and when trying to tell the staff member at reception, his response was ‘can I get you a free drink’. Very bizarre and will never go back again.
The public area was bright and airy. Staff were friendly and professional. There was plenty of parking.
The carpets on the ground floor corridor were dirty.
Location good, good breakfast staff very friendly
Our door was difficult to close and couldn't be locked. Found open when we returned one evening.
Catered to changing rooms
Some rooms don’t have smart tv
Cleanliness and comfort
Nothing
Welcome staff was good and breakfast staff was even better.
I had to ho to receprion twice asking for a iron and iron board. By the 3rd time the reception staff admitted she forgot and would bring it up straight away. I explained that I would stay down stairs for a bit, so don't bring it up until I'm leaving to go back to the room as my partner was asleep in bed. When I then decided after 10 minutes to go up to my room I told the receptionist. She said she'll bring it up. I stayed up until 11.30 and still no receprionist with items. In the morning after my partner and I had our shower, my partner got ready to go down stairs to complain. Behold when he opened the door there was an iron and ironning board outside our room. To make things worse the ironning board had a very thin cover on it and when opened bits of the foam was all over the fall. Also once I started to iron my dress the iron board metal lines came out on my dress. I had to place a towel on the board to iron.
