Reviewed Sep 14, 2026I went just after monsoon second week of September, no crowds very quiet and empty, which means perfect. The beach was close and super great, waters quite calm, pool was good, room was quiet and gym had enough free weights for basics. Good car park, and shoutout to Rafiq at dollar car rental, super awesome guy that gave good route tips. Waterfalls still had water. Salalah has everything from desert to greenery to waterfalls and rolling hills and beautiful beaches. One of my favourite places I've ever visited. And not many loud drunk Europeans haha
I mean I think the property needs a facelift, by the sea properties take a beating from the sea, salt and probably rains, so a bit rust here and there, but overall I thought it was a peaceful experience. I didn't think the on-site restaurants were that great.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026A Peaceful Stay with Exceptional Service! We had a wonderfully comfortable and peaceful stay at Hilton Salalah. The hotel’s strategic location, combined with our clean and comfortable room, made our vacation truly enjoyable. A big commendation goes to the fantastic team—starting from the welcoming luggage porters upon arrival, to the front desk, housekeepers, and pool staff. I would especially like to warmly praise the waitstaff in the buffet and restaurants, particularly the ladies who were incredibly kind, polite, and attentive to my son and baby daughter. Their exceptional hospitality made a huge difference to our family.
Our only minor feedback is the lack of evening entertainment for children, which is usually nice to have after dinner. Overall, a great experience, and we would love to return!

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026للأسف، كانت هذه أسوأ تجربة لي مع فنادق هيلتون، وأقول ذلك بعد تجارب سابقة عديدة وممتازة مع فنادق تابعة لنفس المجموعة، بالبدايه انتظار ما يقارب 50 دقيقة لاستلام الغرفة، وهو وقت طويل وغير مبرر المفاجأة أن الغرفة لم تكن نظيفة بالشكل المطلوب وهالشي مو مقبول من فندق 5 نجوم أما المطعم كان مليئًا بالحشرات ، ومنطقة احواض السباحه لم تكون مثل ما شهادته بالموقع ومكان الالعاب المائية كان مغلق سبق أن أقمت في عدة فنادق هيلتون وكانت تجاربي مختلفة تمامًا، ولهذا أستطيع القول بكل أسف إن هذه كانت أسوأ تجربة لي مع هيلتون حتى الآن … Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I have ever had with a Hilton hotel. I say this after having many excellent experiences with other Hilton properties in the past. To begin with, I had to wait nearly 50 minutes to receive my room, which was an unreasonable and unacceptable delay. To make matters worse, when I finally received the room, it was not properly cleaned. This is simply unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. The restaurant was another major disappointment, as the breakfast area was full of insects, which is completely unacceptable, especially in a place where food is being served. I have stayed at several Hilton hotels before and my experiences have always been very different. Unfortunately, I can confidently say that this was by far the worst Hilton experience I have had so far.

Hilton’s policy on the room type is ridiculous. We booked a Sea View room expecting to see the Sea through the room windows, that didn’t happen. Our room was facing a wall. We had to go out to the balcony and lean over to see the Sea. Their response was that we should have booked a “Direct Sea View” room - but that category doesn’t exist….. Be careful on these room semantics, because Hilton seems to work based on those and falling short of your basic expectations ruins your trip. We stayed for 4 nights and after complaining non-stop, they finally moved us to the correct room. However, the way they handled us in the beginning, started the stay very poorly and on a bad footing. Their ridiculous room identifying policy is why they get a low rating. Do better Hilton on your client experience and stop being so corporate!

Otherwise reception staff was extremely helpful and they were doing kind of multi tasking when we arrived early morning at the hotel.

Unfortunately, the beach area was under renovation during our stay, which significantly affected the experience and defeated one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel. In addition, we did not receive the key to our second room until after 5:00 PM, which was very late and inconvenient.
Considering the high price we paid, the overall experience did not meet our expectations. The value for money simply wasn’t there, and based on our experience, I don’t believe the hotel was worth the premium price we paid.

Check in was quick and easy and reception staff tried very hard to give me an upgrade. I was upgraded to a sea view room. Our room had two queen beds and we were given a roll out bed free of charge. Despite my reservations of sharing with my children, there was ample space. There was an issue with the first room and within 24 hours, the hotel had sourced a new like for like room for us. The bathrooms look as though they had been recently renovated and the shower was possibly the best shower we have experienced at a hotel. The hotel provides an iron and ironing board. Breakfast was not included for us but I was told that they could include it for 7OMR per person per day. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. One thing that’s very good about this hotel is that they have a WhatsApp service through which you can communicate with the reception team. One day I had left the laundry out on the balcony and I was able to message and ask someone to bring it inside. One night the room next to us had the tv volume set to extremely high. As soon as I’d messaged, they dealt with it straightaway. The hotel is in a good location. About 20 minutes from the airport at peak times. It is also close to malls and other sights. Staff are lovely and do go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. We really did enjoy ourselves here.

Beach is useless, smells very bad, and due to monsoon season not allowed to walk around. Even it was allowed i have doubt anybody will swim in that sea. It is also located nearby bit Salalah port, not sure if it is the reason of bad smell.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026The rooms were comfortable, clean and well maintained, and overall the hotel has a pleasant atmosphere. However, I felt the dining options were quite limited, especially for a longer stay. There is also no private beach, which was a disappointment, and the hotel does not offer particularly impressive views. Overall, the rooms are a positive, but the limited food choices, lack of a private beach and lack of good views mean there are better options to consider in Salalah, particularly if you are looking for a more scenic or beach-focused

While we were on our way home after checking out, the hotel called us—before we had even realized that we had left a large amount of money in the room safe. After confirming the details, we returned and received the full amount. We were deeply impressed by the exceptional honesty and integrity of the hotel staff. Their remarkable trustworthiness saved us from a major financial loss, and we are truly grateful.

The restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our 10-year-old had meals she enjoyed, even preparing food that wasn't available on the buffet. To make our daughter's 17th birthday even more special, the team surprised her with a beautiful birthday cake at no extra cost. A special thank you to Yeasin, who coordinated everything so thoughtfully and made our stay one of the most memorable hotel experiences we've ever had. We truly appreciated the exceptional hospitality and can't wait to come back again!

The food was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was equally outstanding, with staff who were consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful. A special mention goes to Yeasin, Chamika, and Shadith, whose warm hospitality and genuine care made the experience even more memorable. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, adding a personal touch that elevated my stay. I would highly recommend the restaurant to fellow guests — it perfectly complements the comfort and quality of Hilton Resort Salalah.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026Quiet and largely traffic free, lots of parking, big rooms and large open spaces. Nice friendly staff, and good enough food.
There is a very damp smell and feeling in all the spaces around the hotel, especially the rooms, everything feels wet. There are bugs that bite in the rooms and pest control might help the space. Parking and entry way have a lot of speed breakers, sorta pointless and a bit annoying after the dealing with the rough roads around Salalah. The place was empty, the bar and restaurant might as well been closed. Horrible WiFi, like at the rates we were being charged, that is an insanely pathetic WiFi connectivity.
