Riad - Dar Al Andalous

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce riad, idéalement situé pour découvrir la ville. La personne qui nous donnait accès au lieu a été très professionnelle, gentille et toujours d’une grande politesse. La chambre était vraiment spacieuse et confortable, avec une décoration choisie avec beaucoup de soin. Le riad en lui-même est majestueux, aussi bien par sa grandeur que par sa beauté, et offre un cadre vraiment remarquable. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié l’accueil du gérant, qui a pris le temps de venir nous rencontrer, de nous donner de précieux conseils et même de nous proposer un parcours pour découvrir les principaux points d’intérêt de la ville. Une attention particulièrement appréciable ! Enfin, le matin de notre excursion, un petit déjeuner à emporter nous a été préparé, ce qui a été une très belle attention et a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. Une très belle adresse que nous recommandons sans hésiter !

Lovely historic, spacious and gracious hotel, both room and public spaces. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the cool bright internal courtyard was delicious and abundant. I had dinner one nite and it was also delicious. Not often one's expectations are exceeded, but they were here. Highly recommend.

Schöne Unterkunft, kostenloses Upgrade auf größeres Zimmer (fast schon eine ganze Wohnung!), gute Lage, tolles Team. Sehr gutes Frühstück, und als wir am letzten Tag abreisen mussten um zum Flughafen zu fahren, bekamen wir früh morgens ein Frühstückspaket zum Mitnehmen und ein Mitarbeiter hat noch Koffer nach draußen getragen. Es war alles prima!

The old world charm! I loved that the original tiles and furniture was all there, had not been modernized and destroyed like so many other Riads. It was authentic and exactly what I wanted.

The wifi in our room on the second floor, just did not work - ever. It was only available in the courtyard downstairs. And there were alot of mosquitos in the courtyard without any coils or netting. They bite and this can be easily prevented.

The staff was amazing!! Everyone from the owner, who took over for his parents, to the porter to the kitchen staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. They helped with every question we had, and even helped us get our train tickets to Marrakech.

The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and everything was perfectly clean. I had a wonderful holiday and will definitely be staying there again on my next trip to Morocco.

Although everything is absolutely lovely, if you look closely you’ll notice that in a few places some small tiles on the floor are missing or are no longer in the best condition. I’d also prefer a shower to a bath with shower facilities. Perhaps this could be addressed during the next renovation. That would make the place absolutely perfect for me.

La ubicación del Riad es buena y dispone de un patio fabuloso. La atención del personal es muy buena y el desayuno bueno.

La habitación (dos camas con terraza) no era la mejor opción. Se encuentra en una tercera planta y se accede a ella por una escalera estrecha. El baño aunque de uso privado, se encuentra fuera de la habitación en la segunda planta. Parece que el Riad tiene mejores habitaciones sin estos inconvenientes. La terraza no tiene interés ni vistas que anime a su uso.

The booking staff were very kind, friendly and supportive. Zahra is a very nice Moroccan lady who not only speaks multi languages but also she is very knowledgable and open-minded. We had great time at Riad Dar Al Andalous and we had a comfortable stay in Fes. Highly recommended.

The environment and design is superb, staff is friendly and the manager speaks good English and French. Location is perfect, value is great, breakfast is good quality with freshly made egg omelette which we liked.

It's a traditional Riad. Cleanliness is generally good but not a 5-star hotel level. Sound insulation.

What I liked most was the excellent hospitality. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and Otman and his team were extremely helpful, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay. They made us feel very well taken care of and helped make our time in Fez even more enjoyable.

Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like about our stay. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and the staff was incredibly attentive throughout our visit. We had a great experience overall.

Nos sentimos como en casa desde que nos recibieron, el Riad es espectacular muy limpio y la ubicación es perfecta esta muy cerca de la Medina, pero no dentro por lo que el dejar las maletas en el Riad es muy sencillo. La comida está buenísima y el desayuno no le falta de nada. Sin duda volveríamos a repetir.

No hay mucha presión en el agua para ducharte.

Ich hatte einen hervorragenden Aufenthalt im Riadh Diar Alandalous. Von Anfang an fühlt man sich wie zu Hause – die Atmosphäre ist unglaublich familiär und herzlich. Das gesamte Personal ist äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und stets bemüht, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Man merkt sofort, dass hier Gastfreundschaft wirklich gelebt wird. Ein besonderes Highlight ist die Küche: Das Essen ist einfach köstlich! Es vermittelt das Gefühl, als wäre man zu Gast bei einer traditionellen marokkanischen Familie – authentisch, liebevoll zubereitet und voller Geschmack. Ich kann dieses Riad uneingeschränkt empfehlen und komme sehr gerne wieder

表の通りまでタクシーで来ることができ、表の通りからは歩いて50mくらい奥に入りました。 素敵な女性のご主人に中庭のスペースでチェックインしてもらいました。良いお天気の日でしたが、中庭には開閉式の透明な屋根がありましたので、雨でも大丈夫だと思います。素敵な素敵な建物。築130年くらいだそうですが、フェズの街にくらべれば新しいとおっしゃられて、そりゃそうだ（笑） お部屋をアップグレードしてくださり、素晴らしい中庭の景色を部屋からも眺めることができました。 お部屋まで、荷物を上げるのを手伝ってくださり、とても助かりました。スタッフのみなさま、みんな優しいです。 お部屋はとても広くて、その後に泊まった場所で、思わず狭いなぁと思ってしまうくらい！ インテリアはクラシックなのですが、お風呂やトイレの水回りはすごくモダンでした。こんな素敵なところに泊まれるんだと感激しました。 その日の夕食をホテルでいただきました。ボトルのワインをいただくことができます。フェズの伝統料理、おいしかったです。朝食もふわふわのオムレツ付きで、満足です。 出発時に、スタッフの方がタクシーを拾える場所まで一緒に来てくださりました。運転手さんにお話ししてくださったおかげで、初めてメーターを使ってもらえて、我々観光客が払う価格との差を知ることができました。 フェズで素敵な滞在ができました。ありがとうございました。

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this riad in Fes, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such genuine warmth and kindness that we immediately felt at home. The riad itself is beautifully designed, full of authentic Moroccan charm and elegant details that make the whole space feel special and inviting. Our room was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the medina. Nous avons été admirablement reçues par Zara - l’établissement est très agréable cosy propre et très bien situé. Une parenthèse enchantée dans la Médina de Fez .

The most beautiful place i have lived in. The riad was a perfect blend of culture and modern facilities. The staff was veryy accommodating especially Zahra, and super passionate about the medina and what it offers They arranged tours for us and the hammam experience was top notch

Really great location and easy to navigate the rest of Fes. Place itself is really pretty and very clean - staff lovely and very helpful. They made really great recommendations for things to do and places to eat/see. Breakfast was really good too.

We are super sensitive sleepers so staying in a room next to the main hall was perhaps not our best decision. I also shower in the evening and the hot water was not fantastic, but my husband showered in the morning and said hot water was fine so perhaps that was just me!

Il riad mi ha davvero colpito per la sua atmosfera raffinata: la hall è splendida, curata nei minimi dettagli e trasmette un’eleganza autentica. La colazione era semplicemente deliziosa, con prodotti freschi e sapori tipici davvero apprezzabili. Un ringraziamento speciale va allo staff, sempre disponibile, gentile e professionale, capace di rendere il soggiorno ancora più piacevole.

Per quanto riguarda gli aspetti meno positivi, la camera non era, a mio avviso, all’altezza del livello generale del riad. In particolare, la qualità delle lenzuola mi è sembrata piuttosto modesta, leggermente ruvide e non in linea con l’eleganza degli spazi comuni. Ho comunque apprezzato la presenza della terrazza, che rappresenta un piacevole valore aggiunto.

There are many new riads and some under construction that simulate the older riads but Dar Al Andalous is beautifully maintained authentic Riad over 100 years old.

L’accès en voiture est un peu compliqué. Des coordonnées gps seraient utiles.

Le riad est tout simplement magnifique ainsi que l'équipe qui le dirige. La cuisine est succulente. Situé dans la médina à 5 minutes à pieds de la célèbre porte bleue, il est accessible en voiture. Le quartier est tranquille.

Rien à dire de négatif. L'hôtel, tel que nous l'avons découvert et pratiqué pendant une semaine, nous a donné entière satisfaction. Nous ne nous attendions pas à une telle qualité.

De Ryad is prachtig, rustgevend, schoon en netjes en ruikt heerlijk naar rozewater. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en maakt graag een praatje. Je voelt jezelf erg thuis. Ook het avondeten en het ontbijt, beiden gevuld met traditionele opties, waren uitgebreid en lekker.

We stayed 5 nights at this beautiful riad and enjoyed every moment of it. It is located in a quiet alley but still very close to medina. The interior space and the rooms are mesmorizing (excatly like the photos). The staff (Zahra, Otman, Rashid and the ladies in the kitchen) are super friendly and always ready to help. The wifi was strong and reliable. The bed was big and comfortable. They can provide lunch/dinner for the guests upon request (an excellent 3 course meal for 220 MAD per person). The breakfast was very good.

I hope they replace the packed fruit yogurt in the breakfast with natural-no-sugar yogurt.

I and my family stayed here for second time, this time for three nights in January, as in previous visit, everything was perfect, extremely friendly people, and high class service, great spacious rooms and excellent food. We highly recommend and will definitely stay there again next time in Fez.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel/riad! It is beautiful, the staff was very accommodating and kind, and the room was huge! We only spent two nights here and truly didn't want to leave. We felt welcome, warm, cozy and at home. The location was perfectly just outside of the Medina on a quiet alley that made for easy to sleep nights and very easy to find our way into the mix of the Medina. Please stay here!

La struttura è molto bella, ci ha accolto una signora molto gentile e abbiamo cenato davvero molto bene. Inoltre il manager ci ha dato consigli utili ed è stato attento, gentile e simpatico. All I can say is Wow what an experience. The staff is just exceptional, extremely kind, supported, helpful, and very hospitable you feel right at home. The rooms are well equipped and maintained, very spacious, super clean. Every thing was well organized. The food was top notch. Homemade authentic and quality food. I used to only stay in hotel brands like Marriott and Hilton , but after this experience my perspective changed. If you visit Fez, do yourself a favor and book this one. You will be taken care off, you will feel at home, safe, and enjoy your time.

To be precise, we loved everything. We've been consistently impressed by the level of hospitality in Morocco, but Andalous took it to a whole new level. We felt warmth and welcomed at every step of our Fes stay, thanks to the crew at Andalous led by Otman. Otman himself is incredibly industrious, paying careful attention to every detail and juggling billing, taking care of all his guests, and overseeing a grand New Year's party on his own. Our room was princely, and I had half a mind to spend the entire time in the giant rainfall shower. Thank you Dar Andalous - we promise to spend the majority of our time with you guys next time we're in Morocco.

Great and convenient location. The manager (Osmante) was really good with helping us, so was the rest of the staff. They worked hard to make our stay pleasant and comfortable.

This is one of my go-to hotels in Fes. I always stay here because I love the location, I appreciate the level of care and courtesy of the staff (Rachid goes above and beyond!) and owners (Othmane is communicative, attentive, caring). The riad is one of the oldest riads in Fes and as soon as you walk in, you can feel the history of the space. It's beautifully designed, with lots of intricate details in the architecture, tilework, and carved cedar. It's an impressive place to stay, but it's also quiet, comfortable, and secure.

Sans connaître Fès et sa médina, nous avions choisi le Riad Dar Al Andalous en premier lieu pour son emplacement.Effectivement il est très bien situé,que ce soit pour déambuler dans la médina, partir en balade en taxi ou encore dîner dans des petits restos tout proche. Maintenant, après y avoir séjourné quelques nuits, si nous devions y revenir, nous y reviendrons pour la gentillesse des personnes qui font vivre ce Riad . Ils sont tous charmants ,aux petits soins .. et petite mention spéciale pour le staff «cuisine » ,les petits-déjeuners et dîner sont très bons👌 Merci à vous tous.

War sehr zufrieden mit dem Aufenthalt vor Ort und war bei meinen Buchungen die schönste in den 8 Tagen. Hatte ziemlich sicher eine Art upgrade - Zimmer war sehr ansprechend und wie man es sich eben vorstellt (jedenfalls ich). Worüber man sich aber im klaren sein muss: Es liegt nahe der Medina und ist daher schwer mit dem eigenen PKW anzusteuern (Google Maps führte mich in die Irre) und parken ist bei solch schönen zentralen Unterkünften schwerer als auf dem Land (ist eigentlich selbstverständlich aber ich erwähne es).

Im Prinzip nichts von de Unterkunft; vielleicht davor anrufen bei der Unterkunft und nach einer anderen Richtung fragen wenn man Google maps benutzt um nicht wie ich rückwärts aus den Gassen rausfahren zu müssen (aber ohne Unfall!!!!)

I really loved the atmosphere of the accommodation, especially the unique and beautifully designed courtyard. It gave the entire place a very special and relaxing charm. The dinner offered at the property was excellent and truly exceeded my expectations. If possible, I would highly recommend experiencing it at least once during your stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful traditional house in Fes. The carved wooden doors, walls, and details make it feel like a small palace—full of character and history. The staff, especially Otmane, Zahra, and Rashid, were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food (both dinner and breakfast) was delicious. The location is excellent, on the edge of the Medina with easy road access, which makes it both great to arrive at and explore the city, much simpler than in many other riads. A comfortable, authentic and memorable stay.

Othman et son équipe sont d'une hospitalité et d'une sollicitude incroyables. L'accueil est personnalisé, le service est impeccable. Le cadre de ce riad est authentique et magnifique. A recommander sans réserve.

El alojamiento es una preciosidad, es un palacio impresionante, parece un museo. El personal es muy atento, amable y dan un servicio increíble, lo hacen muy acogedor. El servicio de cena y desayuno es de una calidad excepcional. La ubicación es perfecta, muy cerca de la puerta azul pero sin ser muy enrevesado. Si volvemos a Fez, sin duda nos volveremos a alojar aquí. Gracias por todo.

We stayed three nights at this beautiful riad, and everything was simply excellent — the hospitality, the room, and the food. We had dinner at the riad on all three evenings, and every meal was wonderful and full of flavor. The entire team was incredibly kind and welcoming; we truly felt at home. Special thanks to Othman, Zahra, and Rachid — all of them were amazing! We also loved the calm atmosphere and the perfect location, just a short walk from the heart of the old city. This property is an extremely gorgeous riad ! Zahra checked us in and was so friendly and helpful. She offered dinner service so we had three nights of the very best of Moroccan cooking. Each night and morning Otmane was there to check in to help with any planning we needed for the next days. His help was indispensable and much appreciated. We wouldn’t have enjoyed our visit without his lovely smile and follow through with or plans. We left early and insisted we take breakfast for our 7 hour train ride to Marrakech. It’s was very inexpensive for the location and beauty of the interiors.

Está ubicado a apenas 5' a pie de la Medina en una zona muy tranquila. El Ryad está muy bien decorado y conserva la esencia original. Nos alojamos en una suite que era enorme. El desayuno es abundante y variado. El personal muy atento y amable. Otmane es encantador, siempre en disposición de ayudar a que la estancia sea agradable

La proprietaria voleva farmi pagare la camera per la seconda volta insistendo che non avevo ancora pagato.Abbiamo 'dormito' rispettivamente: io in un letto e mio fratello in un divano durissimo adibito a letto all'ultimo momento. Al nostro arrivo la camera non era ancora pronta ed il divano è stato trasformato in letto dopo il nostro arrivo.Mancava la coperta chiesta più volte. Il bagno era situato al piano superiore e collegato alla camera tramite una scala ripida e senza corrimano. Il bidet barcollava. Non vi era doccia ma una vasca da bagno obsoleta adibita a doccia senza tenda né niente altro

El riad es precioso, con una arquitectura tradicional llena de detalles cuidados y una decoración encantadora. Está muy bien ubicado, justo a la entrada de la medina, lo que permite explorar los principales puntos turísticos a pie, pero sin perder la tranquilidad de una zona relajada. Lo mejor, sin duda, fue el equipo: Otmane, Zahra y Rachid estuvieron siempre atentos a todo lo que necesitábamos. Amables, respetuosos y siempre dispuestos a ayudar con recomendaciones de restaurantes, excursiones, guías y todo lo necesario para hacer la experiencia aún mejor. Muy, muy recomendable.

The building (Riad) was amazing. This is probably the most beautiful hotel I have ever been in. The staff were very kind and helpful especially Zahra. I also like the location. I specifically didn't want to stay in the Medina because I was afraid of feeling claustrophobic. This was less than 5 minutes walk away.

The breakfast was very basic and leaning strongly towards carbs / sweet stuff. I need to eat a savory breakfast and this wasn't available. I ended up eating outdoors.

Beautiful property and a truly lovely family and staff that run it. They must us feel welcome and were very accommodating. The wood work and tile work in this Riad is magnificently beautiful; the room we stayed in was a great size (although the bathroom was small) and was well appointed. It was a great escape after exploring Fes all day. The area is safe and easily walkable to restaurants and shops but a guide is recommended beyond that. We enjoyed breakfast everyday and even had dinner one night at the Riad. The hosts organized a hammam at the hotel as well, which was a cool experience.

Unfortunately the rooftop wasn't opened when we were there because of a renovation project but we still enjoyed the Riad.

What a gorgeous riad! The staff upgraded our room at no cost and were so helpful and attentive. They even got us a last minute reservation at a restaurant and started breakfast early for us so we could get to an excursion we had planned. Everything was very clean and just overall so beautiful. Would definitely stay here again!
