Рияд находится буквально в одной минуте от довольно большой дороги, откуда, во-первых, можно уехать практически в любую сторону, а во-вторых, очень легко и близко добраться до ЖД-вокзала. И в целом это был очень важный пункт для меня — не тащить свои чемоданы по неудобным узким улочкам. Но больше всего меня поразил персонал. Я в целом читала в разных отзывах об отелях, что персонал очень дружелюбный и отзывчивый, но здесь все мои ожидания были просто превзойдены. Я даже не могла представить, что люди могут быть настолько дружелюбными, внимательными и искренними. Так как я была в Марокко одна, здесь меня буквально окутали вниманием. За это я особенно благодарна Мариям, которая приняла меня как родную дочь. Она мне подсказывала всё: как лучше сделать, куда сходить, что можно купить, куда поехать и вообще всегда была рядом, если мне что-то было нужно. Хочу отметить каждого сотрудника, с которым взаимодействовала. Ребята знали, что я люблю чай, поэтому мне постоянно приносили чай, могли поддержать любую беседу, поговорить со мной, что-то подсказать. И даже помогли провести фотосессию. Сам рияд просто шикарный. Если вы любите детали, архитектуру и вообще такие места, где хочется рассматривать каждый уголок, то вам сюда. Здесь очень красиво, фотографии точно получатся невероятными. И самое главное, вы действительно почувствуете эту традиционную марокканскую атмосферу. А ещё он огромный, здесь есть несколько террас. Оттуда весь город видно как на ладони. Отдельная любовь — это еда. Она просто выше всех похвал! Мне здесь очень-очень понравилось. Всё настолько вкусно и сытно, что после завтрака можно спокойно полдня больше ничего не есть. В общем, я осталась очень довольна этим местом и очень рада, что выбрала именно этот рияд. Потому что здесь совпало всё: расположение, атмосфера, красота самого места, еда и, самое главное, люди.

What a beautiful, grand riad! It’s so easy to find from the main road, if getting dropped at Batha square it’s only about a 2 min walk. It was fairly quiet while we were there, so were upgraded to a bigger room - was really lovely to have so much space and the rooms were a cool break from the heat outside! Breakfast was good, and they organised a takeaway breakfast for our early departure. We also used their laundry service (which was great - removed stains from my clothes I hadn’t been able to remove 😅), and the hammam which was a great experience.

Good location near Blue Gate. Stuff is nice and breakfast is one of the best we had in Morocco! Riad is soo beautiful. That handwork they do is amazing! They are good and hospitality is on level!

From beginning to end, the hospitality displayed was amazing. Every tour detail was well thought and supported with zone map to ensure a smooth travel. The breakfast was outstanding, opens at 08:00 am. The transport mode (on foot) to the main sight-seeing site(s) is @ 10-15 minutes. The bus service "CTM" from Chefchaoen to Fes was interesting to say the least (motion sickness medication highly recommended for the weak - bring your own disposal bag) and taxi distance from the hotel - @ 30 to 40 Dirhams. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Riad Al Makan Fes and Spa for their kind time and consideration!

Miglior Riad in cui sia mai stata. Bellissima location, raffinata, pulita. Camera straordinaria. Colazione ottima (anche glutenfree). Terrazza carina. I ragazzi che gestiscono il riad sono professionali, gentili e amichevoli, sempre pronti a soddisfare qualsiasi tua esigenza. La posizione è ottima perché nella medina, ma a pochissimi passi dall’uscita. Sicuramente ci mancherà tutto

The Riad is beautiful and clean. So much bigger than it appears and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and large and the aircon works great.

Absolutely loved every detail, color, and design in the hotel, and attention of care from the staff. To helping me with things I needed throughout the day preparing meals booking events. This was a friendly place to come back to after each day of exploring.

Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. They made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. It was quite close to the main fountain and roundabout. Breakfast was good! The staff was friendly. The rooftop is amazing!!

It can be a bit noisy in the morning. I stayed at the annex so its a bit disconnected from everything.

The property is nicely maintained and decorated in a traditional style.

Shower soap/shampoo were in small , difficult to open packets. Although the staff provided more when asked, for the price, soap & shampoo dispensers should have been provided.

Muy buen desayuno. Trabajadores muy amables, incluso llegamos y salimos de madrugada y nos esperaron en el taxi y nos llevaron hasta él ya que el Riad está en una calle muy estrecha. Tiene una terraza muy cómoda con buenas vistas y donde puedes cenar llevándote tú la comida o de su restaurante.

The place is stunning! The bedroom is spacious, comfortable, clean and having a mini fridge is a great bonus. The breakfast was amazing, with delicious food. Special mention to the staff who were incredibly kind, welcoming, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location is also excellent. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Fes!

Our stay at Riad Al Makan exceeded our expectations. We got upgraded to a really beautiful room with fantastic high wooden ceilings and beautiful details. The staff was ver attentive, kind and sharing helpful informations on the city. The rooftop terrace is really beautiful (nice sunsets!) and the breakfast, as well as thei restaurant is delicious! An additional plus is the location in the middle of the medina.

There is really nothing to complain about.

One of the best places to stay in Fes! The riad was exceptionally clean—you could literally smell the cleanliness throughout the property. Everything was well maintained and spotless. The staff were the best I met during my trip to Morocco: incredibly friendly, always smiling, welcoming, and eager to help with anything. I also had a massage at the riad, and it was excellent—very relaxing and professionally done. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Fes. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is easy to find — just a short walk from the Batha taxi stop, a big deal than it sounds when you are arriving tired with luggage. My room and facilities are clean, and they let me pay in advance with online payment (something that often does not possible in many Riads in Morroco as you often need to pay with cash and end up with paying more in dirham due to FX). The staff goes out of their way to make me feels welcomed: A warm welcome mint tea, and when I needed an early start for a day trip, they arranged breakfast ahead and even offered a takeaway option. They also held my luggage for several days after checkout when I needed to leave Fez temporarily and return later

The room is a bit at a smaller side, but they already informed me about this

The hotel is located in a great spot, and the interior design is very lovely. The property consists of two buildings facing each other, and I stayed in the secondary building. The rooms are quite spacious and have such a wonderful atmosphere. Overall, it is a very clean and comfortable place to stay. I had a great experience.

It might be helpful to ask which building you will be staying in during the booking process. I found that the second building has a slightly different vibe and feels a bit further removed from the traditional Riad atmosphere compared to the main one.

It is a master piece not just a simple riad. You can touch and smell the scent of the identity and the great history of Morocco!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast and ambience were nice, and I liked the place because it was quiet. Meryem, the receptionist, gave us rooms next to each other in the Annexe building, which has an elevator very convenient for my 3-year-old son and our large luggage.

I hope the housekeeping staff changes her attitude. She knows what she did to us during our stay. We were fortunate that Meryem, the receptionist, helped us sort out the problem.

The hotel is strategically located within the medina: it offers the charm of staying inside the old city while remaining easily accessible, with taxis able to drop you off just a short walk away. The area is full of convenience stores, cafés, and restaurants, which was very convenient during our stay. We stayed on the third floor of the annex and slept wonderfully every night. The bed and pillows were large and very comfortable. The room was equipped with a kettle and a fridge, and it was spacious enough for our needs, although the door could not be opened fully because it hit the bed.

We arrived at the hotel after a five-hour bus journey and were looking forward to nothing more than some rest. Instead, during check-in, we found ourselves being quizzed by the hotel manager, who pulled out a map of the city and started asking us questions such as why the university had a particular name, where we were located on the map, and other similar trivia. Perhaps Meryem missed her calling as an elementary school teacher rather than a hotel receptionist. We were then assigned a room in the annex. The annex itself is not necessarily bad, but it feels completely abandoned. There is no reception desk, no security staff, and no employees on site whatsoever. It is essentially just a building with rooms and no services. If you are placed there, you quickly realize that you are treated as a second-class guest. Everything is located in the main building: reception, breakfast, the hammam, and any other facilities. Breakfast was acceptable, but highly inconsistent from one day to the next. One morning there were jams, the next there were none; one day there were cakes, the next day they had disappeared. There was very little variety overall, no fruit at all, and the service was slow and somewhat chaotic. Whatever appears in the promotional photos should not be assumed to be what you will actually receive. Finally, the bathroom looked extremely dated and, more importantly, was not properly clean when we checked in. For a property that presents itself so well online, the overall experience was disappointing and fell well short of expectations.

Little noisy from the street

Breakfasts were good. The first dinner was excellent but the second one was cold and not flavorful. The staff, especially Moha, were terrific and very attentive. Had a wonderful Hammam experience. All in all a good time.

We didn't feel safe going out at night as two women.

Maryam was very welcoming on arrival. She made us feel right at home. Also Walid went above and beyond one evening when the kitchen was closed and made sure we got fed. Only problem was that we booked through booking.com which had a different price to what it originally was. That was not the Riads fault but booking.com. Location was great, close to everything.

Fin dal nostro arrivo siamo rimasti colpiti dall'incredibile gentilezza e attenzione dello staff ( hanno gestito egregiamente i transfer da e per l'aeroporto) Le stanze sono incredibilmente spaziose e i letti comodissimi, perfetti per rigenerarsi dopo una giornata in giro. Nota di merito per la colazione, e per la splendida terrazza ( aperta dal pomeriggio fino alla sera tardi). Inoltre, la posizione è assolutamente strategica. Lo raccomando a occhi chiusi!

Nel bagno la porta della doccia non chiudere per bene e si rischia di allagare il bagno. Inoltre il doccino della doccia non sta attacco e cade continuamente. Wi-Fi in camera prende poco e male .

設備はそこまで新しくないが、部屋は広くてシャワーの水圧、排水共に問題なく使えた。ランドリーサービスを使って靴下などの下着類も含めお願いしたら想像以上にキレイに帰ってきたのでとても助かりました。おすすめです。一点10MAD〜 中庭が素敵で朝食がとても優雅に感じた。 部屋の窓から外の音がかなり聞こえるので耳栓を持っておくとより快適に過ごせると思う。

Due to the fact it is in the Medina you must get help with luggage from car. But we knew this going in!

Favolosa accoglienza da parte di tutto lo staff ed in particolare Marianne per il mio compleanno. Mi è stato offerta upgrade della stanza come regalo di compleanno. Colazione super e stanza grande e comodissimo letto. Menzione particolare a Marianne che è stata gentile e disponibile per tutto il soggiorno.

Staff was so friendly and they explained every detail. Riad is general , well - designed and clean.

Just one thing I do not like was hamam . We were excited for this experience because Riad called itself as “spa “ otel . Unfortunately, Spa staff wasn’t professional and hamam itself wasn’t clean . They use everything for everyone . We believe this kind of experiences have to be personalized so I think hamam was the only negative thing in Riad in general.
