Great location on the beach, large room, lovely staff, bath and shower. Could accommodate a late checkout.

Located next to a bar so you can hear the music even in the room during the day. Music stops at 10pm.

I had booked a stay at Layalina because I was genuinely excited about bringing my 67-year-old mother to Phuket for her birthday. We booked the 90 sqm Duplex Private Ocean View with Rooftop and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a very special mother-son trip. This is just a boutique hotel, yet the attitude from reception was as though they were operating at the level of a major international luxury brand such as Pullman, Hyatt or Marriott except the basic customer service I experienced was nowhere close to what I would expect from those brands. For me, the problem is not whether the hotel is big or small; it is the attitude towards the guest. I am travelling with an elderly mother but again, Thats the problem

Des travaux dans l’immeuble à côté provoquait quelques nuisances sonores. Mais l’hôtel n’y peut rien. Il manque un parasol sur le rooftop, car en l’état, en plein soleil; nous n’avons pas pu faire en profiter.

Layalina is the best place in Khamala. Lovely staff, safe, clean and its right on the beach. We stayed there maybe 5 times, its highly recommended.

The entrance area (alley). Maybe add a glass panel between the bath room and the actual room. There was no socket next to the vanity or the mirror for the hair dryer.

We had a wonderful stay at Layalina and would gladly return. The beachfront location is fantastic, with Kamala Beach right outside and plenty of restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores within a few steps of the hotel. One of our favorite parts of the stay was enjoying breakfast on our private balcony overlooking the sea each morning. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the jacuzzi bathtub with its powerful jets was perfect for relaxing after a day out. What truly stood out, however, was the kindness and professionalism of the staff. Joy and the team went above and beyond to help us with an important personal matter after our departure, and their assistance was greatly appreciated. Their genuine care and willingness to help left a lasting impression on us. A beautiful beachfront hotel with exceptional service. Highly recommended.

L’emplacement devant la mer, la vue est juste incroyable. Chambre très confortable avec tout le nécessaire (grande TV, baignoire jacuzzi, mini bar, grand balcon). Le personnel est accueillant, le petit déjeuner à choix sur la terrasse ou dans la chambre. Le roof top était condamné mais nous l’avons fait ouvrir et avons pu en profiter (il manquerait juste un parasol pour que ce soit parfait sur le roof top). Les alentours sont parfaits (restaurants, massages, seven eleven, vendeurs de souvenirs etc) Hôtel super bien placé, je recommande vivement.

La plage (comme beaucoup de plages en Thaïlande) ne sont pas entretenues et divers objets encombrent le sable.

Deluxe room/ suite Bed linen changed daily Room service Direct beach access with uninterrupted view with horse riding at sunset and other activities on the beach. All rooms face the sea. Only a footpath between the property and beach. Sunsets from private balcony. Hammock provided was a fabulous bonus. Property is between beach and shops/ restaurants. Perfectly convenient in every way to all of what Kamala has to offer.

Nonchalant personal som inte lyssnade på oss. Hänvisade hela tiden till managern som skulle komma nästa dag när vi ville ha hjälp. Vi skulle ju bara vara 1 dag. Aircondition gick sönder med vatten över golvet och som rann ned för väggen och droppade från taket. Det fixades iallafall utan managern.

Loved this part of our Holiday. Only 25mins by Tuk Tuk into Patong if you want busy/lively. Taxis are cheap in Thailand. Kamala beach has everything you need/want all by hotel or beach. Perfect. Quieter at night to get plenty of rest. Layalina hotel is located perfectly in my opinion. Out one door and you are on the main street the other door is onto pool/beach. Pool is small but there is only 11 rooms so ok for us. Peaceful. No bar in hotel. Didn't eat at hotel but located so well not a problem. Room was big, smart TV, fridge, big king bed, huge bathroom with jacuzzi bath, separate shower, toilet, waah hand basin. Big wardrobe, free safe. We had ground floor room and basically open huge patio door straight onto pool. Amazing... As all over Thailand the staff are wonderful.

The beach directly outside hotel is no swimming. But only 50m across cute green bridge and all good.

Auf der privaten Dachterasse Fehlender Schatten. Die Marquise war nicht angebracht/defekt. Fernseher war defekt und blieb defekt trotz mehrfacher Nachfrage. Frühstueck ist mit 400/Person zu teuer. Jammern auf hohem Niveau, aber Fruehstueck kam eine Stunde zu früh auf das Zimmer gebracht.

Location is great, right near everything and against the beach, so easy to get anywhere! Only problem is you can hear all the people outside and the windows/doors aren't that sound proof.

Not hugely sound proof, so can hear a lot of outside noise and people. The fan on the ceiling was loud so was the air con.

Great location on the beach, and direct access to shops & cafes on other side. Rooms were good size, shower decent, roof top private balcony to sunbathe. Pool was not big but perfect for a cool down.

Bed was quite hard!

Locatie was erg druk, direct aan een heel druk pad en strand, klein zwembad met weinig plekken om te liggen. Personeel kwam ongeïnteresseerd over.

When we returned to the room it stank of dampness and dirty drains. We had another two couples in our group. Their rooms were the same.

Location to beach, towels changed daily, heaven rooms perfect for sunbathing on the roof, fresh bottled water daily provided, staff super friendly and very accommodating. Hammock included on balcony was lovely added touch! Stunning views of beach etc from balcony. Lots of restaurants nearby had beach front access also which went straight through to main road. Highly recommend Mamma Mia restaurant.

Strange operating system for all lights via one control panel next to bed (which also controls aircon & ceiling fan). Bathroom light therefore couldn’t be turned on/off independently. No bar but very close to bars outside anyway so not an issue.

De kamer is royaal en netjes. Er stonden lekkere muffins voor ons klaar op de kamer. Er is nagedacht over luxe, maar dit komt niet altijd uit de verf. De foto's die je ziet komen niet overeen met de werkelijkheid. Het hotel ligt in een zeer druk gebied met erg veel reuring.

Er zijn uitsluitend mannen in de personele bezetting. Het feit dat de kamer en de badkamer gescheiden worden door jaloezieën sprak ons niet zo aan. En beetje meer privacy in de badkamer is wel fijn. Het bedieningspaneel van de verlichting en de airco is snachts een storende licht-factor. En de airconditioning maakt best veel lawaai. Het ontbijt op de kamer is niet helemaal wat je ervan verwacht: piepkleine croissants, yoghurt in een supermarktbekertje en keiharde eieren. En dit was het enige hotel waar we moesten betalen voor de flesjes water. Wij sloten onze vakantie hier af. Betaalden veel meer dan elders en kregen veel minder.

Stora fina rum. Läget är oslagbart med havet som utsikt och på andra sidan butiker och restauranger. Fin pool. Trevlig och vänlig personal. Frukosten var enkel men smakade bra. Och att få den serverad till sin egen altan var toppen. Kan varmt rekommendera Layalina.

The location was great with access to everything locally and centrally in Phuket, the room was clean with enough space, the rooftop access was a nice bonus, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The bathroom layout was a bit odd, but minor compared to all the positives.

Der var ikke en egentlig restaurant på hotellet som beskrevet. Man kunne få morgenmad og frokost som tilsyneladende blev leveret fra en naborestaurant. Og der var ingen alkohol på hotelmenuer eller i minibaren. Vi købte selv og lagde i minibaren. Vores tv og en natbordslampe fungerede ikke, hvilket vi gjorde opmærksom på 1 dag, men der blev intet gjort under vores ophold.

The safe didn't work neither did the Tv the member of staff said he would get manager next day but never came asked again same reply never got fixed . The breakfast was never hotwhen arrived eggs were stone cold

Myself and my friend stayed at Layalina for a week in January. We arrived to find that we had a double room, on the ground floor, rather than a twin, but we spoke to reception and they assured us that they would be able to change rooms the next day. And that is exactly what happened. We were moved from room 4 to room 1. The rooms were huge, with lots of space and storage. We really liked the little coffee area with the sink. The beds were super comfy with really good pillows. And the bathroom was amazing, nice powerful shower and a gorgeous big bath that had jacuzzi jets. And the view, I mean! Straight over the pool to the beach, absolutely beautiful. We were on a bed and breakfast tariff, which we chose the day before to be served on our room terrace each morning. Which again was just perfect, being able to look out over the beach while enjoying lovely omelettes, fresh fruit and toast. The hotel is accessed down a small alleyway, off the main strip in Kamala. But it was clean and tidy, and honestly like finding a hidden gem, the contrast from the busy street to the calm and serenity of the hotel was just lovely. And the staff of course were amazing! Nothing was too much trouble, the rooms were cleaned regularly and we even used the laundry service at the hotel. And it came back beautifully folded and smelling fabulous. Honestly I have nothing bad to say about this gorgeous, little boutique hotel.

I felt it was almost a scam, how this one can be a 4 stars hotel? 1. The hotel is very old and outdated see few example attached 2. Not that one needs a fancy lobby but 4 stars hotel with table and 2 chairs as “lobby” says it all…. 3. The pool is a joke, don’t believe the hotel formal picture it is 10 meters long and 2 meters wide top 4. There is no window or wall separation between the restroom and shower to the bedroom, just a wooden curtain. My wife and I needed ask the other to go out to the balcony each time one of us needed to use the toilet, ridiculous. 5. You must pre-order your breakfast and worse decide in advance when you wake up and what time you want your breakfast to be served. Who wants this on vacation?.,, 6. We needed another blanket, guess what not only they don’t have one the guy at the “front desk” (evening shift)doesn’t speak or read English. 7. The entrance from the main street was like going into a very shady place. See picture attached from google street, you won’t believe it. I can go on in my list but I think this is enough. My reviews are usually good but I had to set others expectations (BTW our friends paid the same rate in other hotel 200 meters from us and you can’t even compare. Eventually we spend the whole day with them…)

We were unsure when the taxi brought us here because it does not look much from main street. Once you enter it’s a pleasant surprise. You walk into a large simple reception area with stunning views of the ocean. Oh yeah this is on the beach. Not 50 meters not 20 meters but on the beach. Rooms are super spacious and very beautiful. You have your private balcony and we had our private roof top space as well with sun chairs and shower. Staff is very sweet as well.

Il est vrai que l’entrée côté n’est pas visible et peu accueillante mais franchement c’est un détail !

Cant give this beautiful hotel any less than 5/5.It was our last stay in Thailand and just got to say the most relaxing.We had a pool access room that looked right over the beach and we could sit on our verandah and watch the world go by and watch people taking notice of where we were staying.Walking distance to all the markets and restaurants.The room is lovely and clean.The bed unfortunately was very hard but we got by.Great fridge and mini bar.Spa bath in the room which we didnt use but it was the best shower we had in 23 days being hot and good strength.Breakfast was included and you could either eat at the lobby or on your balcony.You made your choices the night before and what time you wanted it and it was there.Good range of foods but no bacon as it is a muslim owned hotel but there was chicken bacon and sausages for an option.Pool was a good temperature and never busy.Plenty of sun lounges at all times of the day.Wish we had more than the 3 nights there as I could have stayed a lot longer
