I was in many luxury hotels & resorts including various Ritz Carlton's and other top brands. This one is by far the best of them. It is a very special luxurious hotel with a very unique style. I was amazed with its beautiful design, everything is so magical and big. By far the best rooms - huge beds, very high floor to ceiling and huge doors, showers, pools and it makes it so cool! The view from the resort is stunning as well and the service was great too. I came to this resort as I got some hot recommendations and I can say it was above my high expectations! It is a must visit for those who like luxury/unique experiences or even just to properly relax!

There are a lot of beautiful places in Asia with breathtaking natural landscapes and excellent infrastructure, but only at the Phulay Bay Hotel, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, the management managed to add a truly rare component to these essential attributes of a luxurious holiday - an extraordinary warmth of the heart, which the hotel staff generously shares with their guests. And they do it so sincerely and naturally that you simply have no choice but to respond in kind. This is a true retreat not only for the body but also for the soul, which becomes filled with light, harmony, and love. Absolutely incredible experience at this reserve. I visited here in August 2026 with my family and we had a wonderful time. It's located in a peaceful area which was extremely secure. The rooms were incredibly spacious - I shared a room with my two younger sisters and not once dis we feel claustrophobic. The reserve itself is beautiful, the pool area is lovely and the staff are incredible. Unfortunately don't remember the name of the gentleman who dealt with baggage but he was so cheery and lovely. Also the guys at sunset bar - namely George - were amazing and great to chat to. There were so many classes to get involved in or excursions to Hong Island that were throughly planned out. The spa was also one of the best I have ever been to (and I have been to many!) - the Indian head massage specifically was well worth the money (treatments were all a very good price). Also the breakfast was amazing (especially the french toast !!!) and the staff at breakfast were great and incredibly accommodating to allergies. But most of all what really made the experience at the reserve so incredible and comfortable was our wonderful butler Habib! I habe no words to describe how amazing Habib was - he was incredibly attentive and always there to help us with anything we need. My sister had managed to graze her knee and he was super helpful with arranging first aid. And he always seemed to be there with his buggy when we needed him. His attention to detail was incredible! I was talking to him by the pool while reading my book and when I saw him later on he brought me some bookmarks! Habib was just great! Very kind and personable and lovely to chat to. Habib really made our stay ten times better than it already was! I will be staying here again in the future!

We like the staff and the treatment we get from them, the weather in August was good, the luxury of the room was rememberable., and that we can watch the sunset at the beach.

The beach area was also quite inconvenient, as the beach loungers were located on a higher level over large rocks, and we had to walk down to reach the actual beach. We also found the resort too large and difficult to navigate, as we needed a buggy every time we wanted to leave our villa. The whole resort felt like a maze, which was not very convenient.

Our stay at Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, was nothing short of spectacular. We stayed in two Beach Villas with private pools, and from the moment we arrived, we were amazed by the beauty and scale of the property. The villas are enormous and decorated with exceptional style and attention to detail, while remaining completely true to the local architecture, Thai culture, and surrounding nature. It is luxurious without ever losing its sense of place. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, were the people. Anna and Jazzy were absolutely impeccable. They looked after us amazingly throughout our stay, anticipating every need and making us feel genuinely cared for. A very special mention must go to Jos at the Beach Bar, who gave me that rare feeling of having a home away from home. He spoiled us with wonderful drinks and cocktails and even saved the same spot for me at the bar every day so I could sit, relax, enjoy my cigar, and take in the incredible surroundings. These small, personal touches are what transform a great hotel into an unforgettable experience. The restaurants are fantastic, with excellent food and service, and the gym and spa are on another level. Everything throughout the resort feels thoughtfully designed, beautifully maintained, and delivered with genuine warmth. Phulay Bay manages to combine extraordinary luxury with intimacy, authenticity, and truly personal service. We have stayed in many beautiful hotels around the world, but this is one of those rare places that stays with you long after you leave. I had been wondering what all the hype was about—until we arrived. We’ve stayed at many Ritz-Carlton properties, including Singapore and Koh Samui, but Phulay Bay is in a league of its own when it comes to service and the overall guest experience. The architecture immediately reminded me of The Barai in Hua Hin. Later, our butler, Khun Sun, explained that both properties were designed by the same architect, which made perfect sense. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Khun Tanya, Khun Bon, Khun Sunny, and our butler, Khun Sun. Their genuine hospitality set the tone for the rest of our stay. The grounds are simply stunning, with a small creek, waterfalls, lush gardens, mature trees, abundant birdlife, and a beautiful beachfront. Many reviews mention that the sea isn’t suitable for swimming, but I have to disagree. As long as you wear a pair of beach shoes, it’s absolutely enjoyable. We visited Koh Hong twice during our stay. Although it can get quite crowded during peak hours, we still spotted schools of squid, a sea snake, a tiny red sea fan, sea anemone, and plenty of giant clams—an unforgettable experience. One highlight was being invited to the management cocktail party. I truly appreciated the opportunity, as it showed that guest feedback is genuinely valued. It was a pleasure meeting Khun Ian and many other members of the team. We already miss Phulay Bay and can’t wait to return.

Probably our favorite family trip to date! Our villa was beautiful with daily personal touches left in the evenings. The breakfast options were wide and onsite Thai restaurant was fabulous! Cocktails at the Sunset Bar watching the sun disappear on the horizon was a treat. Our assigned butler, Na, was incredibly helpful and readily available. She seamlessly coordinated all of our excursions with options, clear instructions and matched us with professional drivers and guides. If not for the fact that it takes over 24 hrs. to travel back to Thailand - we would go back next year!

I happened to go in Krabi to meet a really good friends of mine who works there. She booked me for Chomtawan Sunset Bar, the most beautiful sunset view I ever have in Thailand! After traveling to luxury hotels all over the world—including many Ritz-Carltons, Oberoi, Taj, Four Seasons, and other iconic properties—I can honestly say that Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is one of the finest hotel experiences we have ever had. Beautiful hotels are easy to find. Genuine hospitality at this level is extraordinarily rare. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this property operates differently. The General Manager personally greeted us, making us feel less like guests and more like friends returning home. We were generously upgraded to an incredible villa, but what truly made the stay unforgettable was not just the room—it was the people. Our Ton Hong (personal butler), Nani, was simply exceptional. Every request was anticipated before we even thought to ask. Every interaction was warm, sincere, and effortless. Nothing ever felt scripted or transactional. It felt deeply personal, as though the entire team genuinely cared that our stay would become a lifelong memory. That is a very rare gift. Kids loved it. The service throughout the resort was up to or beyond. There always was someone nearby when you needed assistance, yet never in an intrusive way, remembering your tastes, events, names, etc. Every employee knew our names, remembered our preferences, and greeted us. Even our departure reflected that philosophy. Rather than simply arranging transportation, one of the resort attendants accompanied us all the way to the airport, ensuring every detail of our journey home was seamless. That level of care says everything about the culture of this remarkable resort. The property itself is spectacular. The villas seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor living with traditional Thai craftsmanship, private pools, lush gardens, and breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea. This was my 3rd trip to the property. Always thought going there again and again would dilute the experience but it wasn't the case. Love every second. The personal touch to everything was just too good. My kids enjoyed the most

For the first time ever, I wish I could give 10 stars out of 5. The RC Reserve at Phulay Bay is literally the definition of world class service. Although we encountered a small snafu with our booking, the staff made up for it 10 fold. From the minute of our arrival in Krabi, we were treated like royalty. Berm

Massive thank you to Sagarr Vidya the GM for creating something really special here, to Khun Yid for everything you’ve done for us, to Giovanni for cooking the best breakfast every single morning and to Kwan and Bua who are there for us every breakfast without fail - you’ve all set the standard! Too many names to mention but every single person here has been incredible. This resort is something else. We’ll be back. Amazing.

Me and my boyfriend recently stayed at Phulay Bay and this place was absolutely stunning! One of the best things about our stay was the location. It felt incredibly secluded and private, away from the busy tourist areas of Krabi, which made the whole experience feel peaceful and luxurious. Despite being tucked away, it was still very convenient. The markets, restaurants, and more touristy spots were only around a 20-minute Grab ride away, so it was easy to explore while still coming back to a quiet retreat. The rooms were so extravagant and luxurious, and the bed was MASSIVE! Honestly, even if the weather was horrible, it wouldn’t have mattered because you could happily stay in the room for hours and still enjoy yourself. The all-day breakfast was also such a nice touch, especially for anyone wanting a bit of a sleep in while on holiday. There was so much variety and everything we had was delicious. Lastly, a huge thank you to our butler, Habib. He truly made our stay everything and more. He went above and beyond for us throughout the entire trip and was always so thoughtful and attentive. At one point I simply asked for some ice for our room drinks and he brought us an entire eski full of ice! We loved him so much and genuinely looked forward to seeing him every day. If you stay here, we definitely recommend Habib!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and the resort and Habib, made our trip a truly unforgettable experience! I don't want to ruin the surprises that future honeymooners may find during their stay, but I will say they were constantly spoiling and surprising us with treatments that really made our trip feel one-of-a-kind! Habib did a wonderful job taking care of us and accommodated every request. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was always perfect, in fact, his attention to detail wowed us multiple times! We specifically traveled to Phulay Bay to experience the Ritz-Carlton Reserve brand. Knowing that this was the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve property, my expectations were extraordinarily high. We literally spent nearly 24 hours traveling by air to get there. Despite those expectations, the resort still managed to exceed them. Before we even arrived, the experience had already begun. The resort arranged a car service from Krabi Airport, and from the moment we were greeted at the airport, everything felt polished and effortless. Water, snacks, and thoughtful service during the roughly 45-minute drive immediately set the tone for the trip. When we arrived at the resort, we were welcomed with a short but lovely arrival ceremony that allowed us to relax and settle in rather than simply standing at a front desk checking in. We were then introduced to our butler, Habib, who escorted us to our villa while our luggage was quietly taken ahead and unpacked into the closet. We stayed in a Garden View Reserve Villa with an extra-long king bed, and the villa itself was extraordinary. The bedroom was exceptionally large and featured what can only be described as an oversized “super king” style bed that was incredibly comfortable. The layout of the villa was expansive and thoughtfully designed. Behind the bedroom was a separate bathing area with a very large soaking tub, along with separate shower and toilet rooms, a spacious walk-in closet, and a separate sink area overlooking the private courtyard. The outdoor spaces were equally impressive. The rear courtyard contained a second outdoor soaking tub, while the front area featured a long private pool large enough to actually swim laps in rather than simply lounge beside. Despite the extensive windows and open feeling of the villa, it remained remarkably private. The air conditioning worked exceptionally well, which was appreciated given the tropical heat and humidity outside. We also had no issues with insects or mosquitoes during our stay, though the resort thoughtfully provided bug spray and encouraged us to use it during excursions such as our trip to Hong Island. Habib did an outstanding job throughout the stay. He established communication with us via WhatsApp shortly after arrival and seemed to effortlessly anticipate our needs before we even asked. Whether arranging meals, transportation, excursions, or simply checking in to ensure we were enjoying ourselves, the service always felt genuine and never intrusive. Our first evening perfectly captured the experience at Phulay Bay. After settling into the villa, we decided to order room service rather than venture out after the long journey. Within about 30 minutes, staff had beautifully arranged dinner for us on the outdoor terrace while the villa was quietly turned down for the evening. Even after only a few hours at the resort, it was clear we were experiencing something special. Breakfast each morning was among the best hotel breakfasts I have experienced anywhere in the world. The buffet offered an exceptional combination of local Thai dishes alongside traditional Western breakfast options. Whether you wanted tropical fruit, noodles, pastries, or a full English breakfast, the selection was extensive. In addition, guests could order freely from the menu, and everything was included. I especially enjoyed trying both local dishes and the wonderfully fresh tropical fruits each morning. Service at breakfast was flawless, with staff consistently greeting guests by name and remembering preferences. One of the highlights of our stay was a longtail boat excursion to Hong Island arranged directly through the resort. The experience was seamless from beginning to end. We were escorted to the beach, provided towels and water, and guided through the experience at a relaxed pace. Our guide even escorted us on the hike to the viewpoint at the top of the island. Afterward, while relaxing on the beach, the guide unexpectedly found us and brought fresh fruit kebabs as a snack. It was a small but incredibly thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflected the resort’s overall approach to hospitality. When we returned from the excursion, Habib was already waiting at shore to greet us and discuss plans for the remainder of the day. Back in the villa, we discovered another unexpected touch: a framed photograph from our welcome ceremony had been placed in the room as a gift. These kinds of personalized details consistently elevated the experience. Throughout the resort, service was exceptional in ways that often felt almost effortless. My wife has both shellfish and carrot allergies, and every restaurant and staff member seemed fully aware of them before we even mentioned them. On multiple occasions, we began explaining the allergies only to be told that the staff already knew and had taken them into account. It was genuinely reassuring and impressive. Dining across the resort was outstanding. We particularly enjoyed dinner at the Thai restaurant as well as the international restaurant on our final evening. Every meal throughout the stay was excellent. We also attended one of the sunset receptions at the resort, which provided an opportunity to enjoy drinks and small bites while meeting some of the other guests. Despite this, the resort never once felt crowded. In fact, there were many moments where it genuinely felt like we had the entire property to ourselves. The resort itself feels deeply connected to its natural surroundings. Rather than feeling artificially manicured, it feels embedded within the tropical landscape and jungle environment. There are pathways, gardens, and quiet corners throughout the property that invite exploration. Even on our final day, while riding by golf cart toward the front entrance for our airport transfer, we noticed gardens and areas we had somehow not yet discovered. We also visited the spa during our stay and had a wonderful experience there. As with every other aspect of the resort, the service was polished, calm, and attentive. One final moment perfectly summarized the overall experience. Because we needed to leave relatively early for the airport on our departure morning, the resort quietly opened breakfast 15 minutes early so we would have enough time to eat before our transfer arrived. It was such a simple gesture, yet it perfectly reflected the level of care and attention that defined the entire stay. We were only at Phulay Bay for three nights, and honestly, I wish we had stayed much longer. I cannot say enough positive things about the resort, the setting, the dining, or the extraordinary service. Most importantly, a heartfelt thank you to Habib, whose attentiveness and professionalism made an already exceptional resort experience even more memorable.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Phulay Bay, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. While the property is beautiful and the amenities are top-notch, what truly elevated our vacation was the phenomenal service from our butler, Habib. Habib was incredibly attentive throughout our entire stay, ensuring that every single detail ran smoothly. He had excellent suggestions for activities that perfectly matched what we were looking to do. However, his dedication really shone through when he went completely out of his way for us: when we unexpectedly needed some medication, Habib personally went outside the hotel to get it so we wouldn't have to interrupt our vacation. That level of personalized, genuine care is rare. Habib truly made our trip memorable and stress-free. If you are booking a stay at Phulay Bay, do yourself a favor and hope you get to work with him! From the moment we arrived, we knew it was a different kind of hotel. The welcome ceremony was moving. We were accommodated in a beautiful villa with every comfort. The unique design is based on local inspiration. The paintings on wood are exquisite. The hotel has three restaurants: Mediterranean, Thai, and fine dining. We tried them all, and all three were truly excellent. The breakfast was comprehensive. The service we received as guests deserves special mention. Our butler, Habib, was always available and attentive to our needs. He organized all our activities for us without us having to worry. The staff who cleaned our room were meticulous in every detail. If you left a phone cord, they would wrap it up. If you left anything behind, they would tidy it up and place a white cloth underneath it. Truly thoughtful. The infinity pool is stunning. The view from the beach is beautiful. The Thai dance they perform at sunset is delightful. The thoughtful touches they added each time they cleaned the room demonstrate their constant effort to personalize their services and ensure customer satisfaction. It's truly worthwhile, and I highly recommend visiting.

What an absolute lovely experience. My wife and I came here on our honeymoon and were treated so well by Yid, our butler. We can’t recommend him enough! The villas are incredible, secluded and feel like a home away from home. We found ourselves wanting to stay there as much as we could despite the activities and things to do outside. We did both Hong island and the jungle tour, both of which were fun and designed to make you feel cared for during the adventure. I recommend just booking through your butler as it was a pleasant experience. The resort restaurants are great. We did both the Thai and Mediterranean restaurants, the Thai being our favorite as we went back multiple times. The chefs are phenomenal. Definitely do the sunset bar! It’s so nice! We’re very fortunate we’ve been able to stay at some amazing places and this place by far is at the top. What a treat, honestly. Thanks!

6 stars. Yes, I’d genuinely give it 6. The extra star is for the incredible staff. Never before have I experienced such a genuine willingness to go out of their way to help. Countless little acts of kindness made us feel almost “like celebrities” — not in an over-the-top way, but in a warm, thoughtful, and completely sincere way. Our beach villa with private pool was phenomenal. We also loved the main pool, especially as it was low season, so at times it felt as though we had the whole area almost to ourselves. The food ranged from very good to genuinely sublime. Seriously, we ate like kings and enjoyed every second of it. We ate in all three restaurants, including the fine dining restaurant, and menus were adapted to our needs and requests without hesitation. The staff have an almost uncanny ability to know where you’ll be, what you’ll want to eat, and what you’ll want to drink — not in a stalking sense! More in a wonderfully understated, flawless, and non-intrusive way. The level of service was exceptional. We are dedicated gym-goers — yes, even on holiday — and I think the hotel undersells its gym. Usually “holiday gyms” are small and under-equipped. Not this one. It was beautifully presented, had excellent equipment, and was run by a fantastic gym manager. My only issue was smoking around the pool area. I did mention this to our amazing butler, and I also had to confront another guest about it, while trying very hard not to lose my temper! Some simple signage such as “Smoking only permitted in this area” would be helpful. Enjoyment around the pool should be for everyone, and unfortunately some guests can be inconsiderate. We are already planning a return visit once our bank balances recover. I would list all the staff who made everything 110%, but I’d be terrified of accidentally missing someone out. They were all outstanding. This is the standard other hotels should aspire to. “Perfection” almost doesn’t do justice to the sense of quality, beauty, and care this resort delivers.

The resort itself is breathtaking, with serene architecture, lush tropical grounds, and unforgettable views of the sea. It feels peaceful, private, and deeply connected to the beauty of southern Thailand. What made the experience most memorable, however, was the warmth and kindness of the staff. Every person we encountered made us feel genuinely cared for. Our butler, Sandy, was outstanding and anticipated every detail of our stay. Sunny, the Guest Service Manager, was incredibly gracious and attentive. Lif at the pool made our days there even more enjoyable, and Zee, the pastry chef, gave us wonderful food recommendations, including the Thai pizza at the pool, which became a favorite. The spa staff were also excellent and made the experience feel deeply relaxing and personal. Our villa was a major highlight. Having our own private pool made the stay feel especially luxurious, and the in-room refrigerator stocked with our favorite drinks was such a thoughtful touch. We tried every restaurant during our stay, and each one was outstanding. Sri Trang was especially memorable, with dishes that felt unique to southern Thailand and impossible to experience anywhere else. Phulay Bay is a rare place where the setting, service, food, and atmosphere all come together beautifully. It was one of the most special resort stays we have ever had, and we would return in a heartbeat.

It is impressive that the hotel arranges regular closed-door renovations to maintain high-quality facilities and service. Additionally, the hotel’s Thai cuisine is absolutely delicious and authentic. It is one of those rare places that leaves you speechless. We were escorted to our Reserve Pool Villa, and the experience became even more extraordinary. The villa itself was a masterpiece of design, effortlessly elegant and in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings. We were fortunate to be assigned a villa with the longest private pool, which made it feel like our own secluded oasis. It truly felt like a sanctuary within a sanctuary. It was there that we met the true star of our stay, our butler, Khun Jake. I had chosen Phulay Bay to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and Jake made it one of the best decisions I could have made. He orchestrated every detail with such ease, warmth, and professionalism that he exceeded our expectations in every possible way. Calling him the star of our stay feels like an understatement. One of the most unforgettable moments was the birthday dinner he arranged on the rooftop of Lae Lay. It was beautiful, romantic, and truly dreamy. There, we met Khun Blute, whose warmth and genuine spirit made the evening even more special. Talking to her felt so easy and natural, as though we were spending time with an old friend. She is a wonderful person, and we wish her all the very best. The culinary experience was equally exceptional. Khun Zee at Jampoon served food that was absolutely delicious, and we were deeply grateful for the thoughtful suggestions and the way our requests were accommodated so graciously. We came to Phulay Bay to celebrate my birthday! We booked a romantic package with ocean view room for three nights. Our bulter, khun Anna, took care of us days and nights. The breakfast staffs were amazing and remembered where we liked to seat. They always checked on us. Dinner at the Thai restaurant for two times, we met the chef on one occasion, the food was delicious, there was no need to leave the resort. We have a couple massage and was greeted with beautiful decor on the floor arranged with beautiful flowers with my name on it. The relaxation room has an unforgetable to die for garden view. I also has a facial on the next day, I did notice some difference in my skin right away. Our package included a long tail private speed boat to Hong Island (highly recommend) that served pinic by the water. The next day, Khun Anna booked for us a seven hours trip to different islands including the famous James Bond island. The private speed boat consisted of a captain, a bulter and another person whom helped with docking the boat. The seven hours trip was perfect, we can stop a bit long or short, the captain even drove the boat closer for us to feed the hungry monkeys, the trip was well worth it. On one early morning, we walked by the sea to catch some morning breeze, some of the workers saw us while they were sweeping the sands, they all stopped and greeted us. Somehow, I found tears in my eyes for feeling that I have never encountered in my life. These hard working people deserve much better life. It made me feel how fortune I am to be able to enjoy such a beautiful place on earth with the gratiude of these kind and well train workers. To summarize, this resort has provided me excellent services, a great memorable stay and of course, they have exceeded my expectation.

Even my wife, who is not easily impressed and loves the “wow factor” of places like Atlantis The Royal and Marina Bay Sands, said unprompted that this ranks as one of the very best. What sets this resort apart is the perfect balance between beautiful surroundings and exceptional service. The property itself is stunning, and more importantly, everything just works. From the moment we arrived, the service was seamless, personal, and genuinely thoughtful. We were greeted by name, our preferences were remembered, and every interaction felt connected. The team knew we don’t eat beef and ensured this was communicated across restaurants without us needing to repeat ourselves. Small touches like remembering our daughter enjoyed blueberries at breakfast and including them again later in the day made a huge difference. Traveling with young children, the experience for them is everything—and this is where Phulay Bay truly excelled. Our daughters were not just accommodated, they were made to feel special at every moment. Whether it was preparing off-menu meals, bringing endless servings of simple things like cucumber and carrots without hesitation, or setting up beautifully decorated tables with colouring activities, everything was designed to make them happy. The result? A noticeable “bounce in their step” every single day. One evening, the team surprised us with a thoughtful personalised dessert to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and quietly chose not to charge for it—a small but meaningful gesture that perfectly reflected their approach to hospitality. Another night, we returned to our villa to find a handwritten card, from our butler, addressed to both our daughters, along with two beautifully presented elephant keepsakes. It was personal, thoughtful, and something they will remember long after the trip. What impressed us most was the level of anticipation and coordination. Housekeeping was perfectly timed while we were out—never once did we experience interruptions. Our butler, Fah, was exceptional throughout: warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our stay special. Her communication was thoughtful and transparent, even offering us lower-cost transport options (unprompted) rather than pushing hotel services. The leadership presence was also remarkable. Seeing senior team members actively engaging with guests, and even having the General Manager personally come to thank us and wish us well on departure, speaks volumes about the culture here. Our stay ended with a beautiful farewell ceremony, where traditional bracelets were tied on our wrists along with personalised blessings for each member of our family rather than a pre-written, scripted farewell. It was a deeply touching and meaningful way to end what had already been an unforgettable experience. Even our final breakfast included a personalised “Bon Voyage” message—an example of the consistency shown from start to finish. Perhaps the biggest testament to this resort is how our children felt. They are usually quite sensitive to small things like insects, yet here they were completely relaxed—because the overall environment made them feel comfortable and happy. They looked forward to every part of the day, from breakfast to the sunset bar, and were genuinely disappointed when they missed moments due to being out on tours or other activities. For us, that is everything. A hotel can look beautiful, but if it doesn’t deliver on experience, it falls short. Phulay Bay achieves both—and that is what makes it so special. Would we return? Absolutely, without hesitation. Would we recommend it? Wholeheartedly. This is a place we will talk about for years to come. The only problem? Phulay Bay has now set the benchmark for every hotel we stay at in the future - and I suspect very few will come close.

One of the most peaceful and beautiful places in the world. We felt really close to paradise. The resort is gorgeous: the gardens, the views, the lake, the river… everything is stunning. The three restaurants are also very good. From my room, I had a direct view of my private swimming pool and then the sea beyond. The southern orientation of the resort makes it a perfect place to enjoy the sunset, with a gorgeous view. Moreover, thanks to Habib, our personal host, this became one of the best holidays I have ever had. Everything is taken care of before you even have to ask. Whenever Habib noticed that I liked something, he always gave me great advice or more information about it. His kindness, professionalism, and discretion were truly touching.

We’ve just returned from Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. It’s an exceptional property and, in several respects, one of the most impressive resorts we’ve visited. The setting and design are particularly well executed. The architecture, villas, and landscaping feel deliberate and cohesive, with a strong sense of place rather than something overly manufactured. Service is where the property distinguishes itself. Consistently attentive without being intrusive, and notably well managed. Habib our room concierges deserves specific mention—thoughtful, responsive, and clearly operating at a higher standard. Food was strong across the board. The all-day breakfast concept is especially well judged—simple in idea, but genuinely valuable in practice and done at a high level. The spa is calm, well designed, and delivers. Treatments were among the better ones we’ve had, without unnecessary theatrics. Evenings are a highlight. The views over Phang Nga Bay, particularly at sunset, are remarkable and never feel repetitive. Overall, this is a property that gets the luxury fundamentals right—design, service, and atmosphere—without overreaching. We would definitely return.

I last visited Phulay with my wife, Louise, in March 2024 and I finished my Trip Advisor review with a promise to ourselves that we would return to Paradise in 2026 to celebrate our 60th birthday year and our 35 year wedding anniversary. We also encouraged 2 of our best friends, Nick and Lisa, to join us who were also celebrating their wedding anniversary. We were all counting down the days to our stay in Phulay like children waiting to open their presents on Christmas day. When the day came our present was paradise second time round. You really cannot have too much paradise! The fact that our friends enjoyed the stay as much as us made a our experience even more enjoyable showing that even perfection can be surpassed. The rooms are stunning, the hotel surroundings and views from the pool are beautiful. As for the food, the quality is both exceptional and consistent in all the dining options from breakfast, to the outstanding Thai restaurant ( Sri Tang) and the fine dining restaurant ( Lae Lay) where chef Christian delivers a Michelin star dining experience. Even the in room dining options offer a dining experience that restaurants should aspire to. And it’s not just the food, the cocktails both in the outside bar ( which marries fantastic cocktails with spectacular sunsets) and the new internal gin bar which combines premium drinks with quality live music set the bar at the highest level. The same high standards applies to the spa; Thailand is famous for the quality of massages and it is difficult to imagine that a spa experience gets any better than this. There is one more element that makes Phulay stand out from all other hotels and is the reason so many guests say it is the best hotel they have stayed in…the level of service. We were lucky enough to have the wonderful Yid as our butler as we did 2 years ago. Nothing is too much trouble for Yid and the word “ no “ simply does not seem to exist in his vocabulary. The world could do with a lot more Yids. We miss him! Habib also stepped in for a few days when Yid took a well deserved break to celebrate his birthday and was also fantastic. On the day of our departure Yid put a bracelet on the wrists of myself and Louise and gave us his personal blessing to send us safely on our way back home. I have kept the bracelet and will wear it when we return to Phulay whenever that will be.That is my new promise which I am determine to keep…you cannot have too much Paradise.

We stayed 4 nights at the resort. The room are large and very nice. The staff at the hotel are great and the restaurants are pretty good. There’s no beach but a big pool with good seating. Overall a nice experience but I don’t think it’s worth the price we paid

A really incredible and relaxing stay in Krabi. The service and personal attention was really appreciated. Zul and the rest of the staff made us feel welcomed and all of our needs were met and exceeded. Villa was spacious and a welcomed upgrade. We will definitely be back.

Johnny and I were incredibly happy with our stay at Phulay Bay. The hotel is beautiful, yes. But what really made it really stand out was the warmth and care of the team. Khun Fah was absolutely delightful. We were delighted daily by her, both by her energy and by the thoughtful, creative, and AWESOME things she did for us. The housekeeping team also left us sweet notes and very fun decorations that delighted us. The breakfasts were some of our best in Thailand - the daily rotating menu was fire (the lobster omelette... I want another one now!) A really memorable stay, and a place we’ll look back on very fondly. And even, revisit when we're back in that neck of the woods!

From the moment we arrived to our leaving after 7 wonderful days is was a truly exceptional experience that I would recommend to everyone. We were introduced to Habib and Zul as we arrived at the welcome ceremony and they looked after our every request for the next 7 days. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They seem to be telepathic, able to guess just what we were going to ask. A score of 10/10 is not high enough. They are exceptional staff. I hope that the senior hotel mangers understand just how lucky they are to have such dedicated and committed staff. Our suite was fantastic with the biggest bed I have ever seen. Special treats delivered every evening were part of the wonderful care by the personal assistants Habib and Zul. The Hong Island trip was fantastic. Our own tail boat and guide to ensure that it was a tailored experience. The Elephant Sanctuary was truly one of my best ever experiences. Feeding and then taking a mud bath and swim with 2 elephants will forever stay in my heart. The couple massage at the Spa was a memorable relaxing experience as well. The breakfast had a very wide array of world food and the lobster omelette was a must. (Must mention Rahul) As with ALL the hotel staff the service was outstanding. After mornings offsite on excursions the ALL day breakfast available for brunch was a fantastic option. There were activities each evening by the beach bar area or pool lawn. My wife and I enjoyed dining in the evening at Sri Trang as we thoroughly enjoy authentic Thai cuisine. I believe that the Phulay Bay Reserve is an experience not to be missed. An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Definitely one of the best hotels in Asia, which means in the world.

Phulay Bay went beyond our expectations. The property is simply gorgeous with meticulous grounds that face the beautiful limestone mountains in the Andaman Sea. Our beach villa was massive. I specially loved bathroom/walk in closet area. The villa’s private pool and garden felt like a sanctuary. It faces the beach but felt private and I loved to hear the birds in the morning. We even had a large monitor lizard visit us. But the main reason for the 5 stars was the Staff. Wow. Thats all I need to say. We were sad to say our goodbyes. Sabai and Tanya …❤️

In dieser Region sonst empfehlenswert und absolut ein Erlebnis: Das Dschungelparadies Rayavadee im der netten „Fressgasse“ im Städtchen und auf Phuket das Keemala. This was an unforgettable experience that really blew my mind. It is a beautiful property and I can’t emphasize enough how attentive and thoughtful the staff are. We felt that our butler, Habib, went above and beyond to make it a once in a lifetime experience.

Wunderschöne, in die Natur integrierte und extrem gepflegte Anlage. Wir sind gerne gelaufen, um alles anzuschauen, anstatt uns mit dem Buggy fahren zu lassen. Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Mitarbeiter, insbesondere die Butlerin war ein Schatz. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, Blick auf das Meer sowohl vom Zimmer als auch vom Poolbereich ein Traum, der leider irgendwann zu Ende ging... Tolles Spa. Wegen der fehlenden Möglichkeit, im Meer zu schwimmen wurde täglich ein Bootstransfer nach Koh Hong angeboten - Traumstrand aber extrem überfüllt. Großzügig großes Zimmer mit Bad im Hamam Stil ... passte - für uns - irgendwie nicht wirklich zu Thailand.

Es gibt so gut wie keinen Strand (Steine, Felsbrocken), Schwimmen im Meer unmöglich. Nur Pool mit leider teilweise vielen lauten Kindern. Keine "Quiet Area". Liegen am Pool fast zu wenig, stehen sehr eng "Liege an Liege" zu anderen Gästen.. da wäre etwas mehr Privatsphäre wünschenswert gewesen. Der nahegelegene schöne Strand Tubkaek ist sehr schwierig zu erreichen, da das Resort wie ein goldener Käfig abgeschirmt ist. Obwohl das Gelände direkt an den Strand angrenzt gibt es keine Möglichkeit, es zum Tubkaek Beach zu verlassen oder von dort zu betreten. Höchstpreise für Getränke / Essen - aufgrund der abgeschirmten Lage keine Alternativen möglich. Keine Abendunterhaltung.

The accommodations, the grounds, the service, the people, the food, the sheer sense of zen that you feel the moment you arrive! Every element of this resort is nothing short of extraordinary. This was quite possibly the best resort I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. Every detail was thoughtfully considered and flawlessly executed. From the beautifully designed rooms to the meticulously maintained grounds, it’s clear that excellence is a standard. There is a perfect balance between luxury and tranquility. We especially loved the welcome (and departure) pavilion and ceremony! What truly sets this resort apart is its exceptional staff. They go far beyond simply providing service; the team consistently went out of their way to ensure our stay was not only comfortable, but very memorable. Furthermore, the food and dining options were excellent. I have a severe food allergy, and never once felt at risk. In fact, meals were specially prepared to allow me to enjoy the local cuisine without any fear of an incident. Highly recommend the resort trip to Hong Islands, which is a quick excursion to a beautiful location! There aren’t enough words to fully capture what you experience at this hotel – you have to experience it for yourself! I hope to have the opportunity to visit again!

Stayed here with my husband and we had a fantastic time. Everything at the hotel is so intentional and catered to you. Our favorite part was our butler Habib who made our stay extra special. He made sure that we got a special treat everyday and organized wonderful itineraries for us. The food was also fantastic, especially at Sri Trang.

Just returned from Phulay Bay and I can say it was between our favorite holidays. Starting arrival till the end all people make you feeling special in the good way. Jake, Habibi, Bluth, Jan and not in the end Vidya ( GM) are just a part of the team which make everything happen. Big respect and thanks for all! I didn’t see before a beach resort opened close to 20 years before, so well maintained. The rooms looks new, very clean, so spacious and comfortable. Restaurants great with extensive menu and great food. Spa, must to go. Not one time! Infinity pool with postcards view and big enough to held private all people. Gym for all type of sport session, cardio, weight, Pilates, etc. But my favorite part was their garden. Just to walk around and enjoy the view, the sound and smell. Congratulations! Off course you can enjoy just the resort, but they offer at decent prices ( compared with other places in the world) a lot of activities around. Boat trips ( even one to Hong Island, complementary), land discovery ( temples, lakes, forests, etc), mangroves canoes, elephants sanctuary, etc. We tried all and all were great. Just to understand, we were a total a 7 people, 3 generations and is the place where everyone was happy. Again Congrats guys!

We stayed there 6 nights and wish we had a longer stay . Definitely coming back !! This is definitely one of the best resorts we stay in Thailand . They are very attention to details . Rooms are immaculate and definitely look’s more stunning in person . The grounds and architecture of this resort is simply stunning. But what makes this stay memorable is the very attentive and proactive service . We were first greeted by Seen , the direction of rooms. He was so kind and genuine. We were then introduced to our personal butler Fah. If you can please ask for her she is very professional, warm and caring . She gave us very honest opinions on excursions. She made lots of arrangements for us inside and outside of of the resort and essentially our stay very stress free . Another highlight to this stay is the breakfast !! I really really enjoyed their breakfast. We had the best crab and lobster omelette!!

I can’t say enough about our experience here. The resort is truly the best of the best. We had an amazing time here. The food was delicious. The staff always remembers I was gluten free. The gluten free bread that they bake there is so yummy! We had our own butler Habib who was so helpful with anything we needed. He took care of everything for us and I can’t thank him enough for all of his help and attention to detail! I highly recommend Phulay Bay a Ritz Carlton Reserve property. The grounds are stunning, the sunset’s are gorgeous, and our villa was like being in heaven!

I strongly believe this bar deserves to take part in international and world bar competitions. The collection of drinks is exceptional, and the cocktail selection is so unique that it can easily stand alongside the Top 25 Bars in Asia. During my visit, I had the pleasure of meeting the mixologist, Varian. He kindly shared that many of the signature cocktails and the overall bar concept were created by the Director of Food & Beverage. The creativity, balance, and presentation clearly reflect deep passion and expertise. I have visited many great bars, including Bar Leone in Hong Kong, which I truly loved. And I can confidently say that Pirom Bar has the potential to rise to that level and even beyond. It has everything needed to become a talking point across Asia. My sincere thanks to the management of Phulay Bay, especially the General Manager, for bringing such an exclusive and refined experience to guests. Special thanks as well to the Director of Food & Beverage, Varian, and the entire team for their dedication. As someone working in this industry, if I ever get the opportunity to set up a bar in the UK in the future, I would be honored to invite this talented team to be part of that journey. We had an incredible stay at Phulay Bay. Our room was stunning, with a bed so large and comfortable it easily accommodated our family. A major highlight was the massive swimming pool; it never felt crowded, providing a peaceful escape. My children spent hours there and loved visiting the pool bar. A special shout-out to Nut the bartender, who was incredibly kind and crafted delicious creative drinks for the kids to try. What truly sets this resort apart is the leadership. The GM, Mr. Sagar, is very present and frequently chats with guests. We were amazed that on our very first day, while being escorted to our room, Mr. Sagar already knew our children by name and greeted them personally. That level of attention to detail is rare and made us feel truly welcome. The exceptional service continued in the restaurants; the staff are incredibly passionate about their craft. The Thai restaurant, Sri Trang, in particular, served super yummy food that was a highlight of our dining experiences. A major, unmissable highlight of our entire Krabi trip was the complimentary Hong Island boat excursion offered by the resort. The stunning scenery and crystal-clear waters made for unforgettable memories. Spa is also the highlight as the environment is so peaceful. We were also lucky enough to be staying during the Thai New Year celebration, which the resort hosted with vibrant, enjoyable activities that truly enhanced our 5-night stay.

We booked 6 days at Phulay Bay for our wedding anniversary without really knowing what to expect as we don't usually stay at Resorts, we were just looking for a luxury hotel to stay at in the Krabi area. We were totally blown away by the whole experience. From the minute you arrive at the property the service and attention to detail are exceptional. You are assigned a Butler or 'Ton Hong' as they call it (which I later found out is a royal Thai phrase that means 'devoted support', which is entirely accurate!) who takes care of anything you need - a kind of combo personal concierge, resort guide, trip planner/ booker, who also ferries you around the resort on demand(!). Our Ton Hong was Habib, and he was absolutely amazing, taking great care of us every day. Friendly, knowledgeable, and always cheerful. I don't think he ever took more than 60 seconds to respond to WhatsApp messages in the group chat he started with us. He made the trip next-level for us. We were mostly there to relax but did find time to do a few activities outside of just hanging out by the huge infinity pool. One morning we took a trip to Hong Island and beach. Our favorite trip was a visit that Habib arranged to the 80 acre Following Giants ethical Elephant Sanctuary which rescues Elephants from various shows, tourist attractions and the logging industry. Our favorite daily activity was having a cocktail at their sunset bar around 5:30 and watching the sky slowly change color and silhouette the Hong islands. Stunning and different every day. Everything was so smooth and well organized, the staff were so friendly and I think it might have been the most relaxing, fun stay we've ever had. It's a definite 10/10 and we'll be returning for sure next year. Thanks Khun Habib!

We had an extraordinary stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Phulay Bay during our honeymoon. The property is exceptionally private and serene, with immaculate landscaping, thoughtful care throughout the grounds, and a peaceful setting that immediately allows you to relax and disconnect. The rooms are enormous with soaring ceilings, (some with) private pools, and gorgeous ocean and sunset views. The bed was incredibly comfortable and genuinely felt like sleeping on a cloud. The private spa retreat was breathtaking and the treatments were top-both. Luzy, in particular, completely transformed my physical state into deep presence and relaxation. The resort’s enormous infinity-edge pool overlooking the islands is a true highlight. The food was consistently excellent, the service seamless, and the people genuinely among the friendliest we have encountered anywhere. What truly set this stay apart were the personal touches throughout our time there. We were welcomed with beautiful in-room gifts and continued to experience thoughtful surprises on our outings. The team consistently anticipated what would make our stay feel meaningful and memorable. One of the most important moments of our trip was a private boat experience where the team supported us in honoring the release of our father’s ashes. Their care, sensitivity, and respect made this deeply personal moment feel beautiful rather than heavy, and we will always be grateful for how thoughtfully it was handled. We are also fans of The White Lotus, and the team leaned into that theme in playful and creative ways that added a layer of fun to the experience without ever feeling forced. Our butler, Sandy, and property manager, Tanya, were both exceptional. Together they were behind many of the personalized, creative, and genuinely heartwarming touches that made every day feel special and unforgettable. Their care, attention to detail, and thoughtfulness truly elevated the entire experience. This resort delivers both world-class luxury and sincere hospitality. We left feeling relaxed, grateful, and already looking forward to returning.

We spent 5 nights at this hotel and enjoyed every moment of it - in particular: - the friendly and attentive service from all staff members and in particular from our personal butler Yid who recommended and arranged great activities and experiences such as a private dinner on the beach - the beautiful hotel, landscape and luxurious villas. We stayed in a reserve villa with sea view and it was a truly unique experience - the great food across all restaurants and in particular the breakfast as well - the massive pool overlooking the ocean - the appreciation of Marriott bonvoy program members across all dimensions (benefits at hotel, room upgrade etc) I can truly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and luxurious stay jn Krabi and will definitely visit again Many thanks to all staff members for making this a unique experience.

My wife and I visited several areas in Thailand to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, and one of the hotels we chose was Ritz-Carlton Reserve Krabi. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. We were welcomed at the main entrance by the manager and the staff who would be personally responsible for our stay. They escorted us to a tranquil setting for a beautiful welcome ceremony, after which we were introduced to the support team who would be taking care of us during our visit. Among them was our personal butler, Habib. From the time we arrived until our departure, Habib ensured that every aspect of our stay was exceptional. Anything we needed, he was there—always attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. His dedication truly elevated our experience. We love visiting new places, but the next time we return to Thailand, the first call we will make is to see if Habib is still at this property. If he is, we will absolutely be coming back. The hotel itself is outstanding, but the combination of this beautiful property and Habib’s exceptional service created an experience we will cherish for a lifetime. It is an expensive hotel in comparison with others in the area but I really think it is value for money. Butler yid and ann responded timely to everything, sincere, very caring towards my kids too. staff at restaurants helped with every little request of ours. buggies were prompt. Hotel is generous with free activities. You can enjoy a lot already without paying for more. Food is pricey but really taste. I enjoyed every bit of this hotel. Should have stayed longer.

Sharing 1 long super long comforter was funny. My kids kept pulling the comforter from us while sleeping. Next day I requested 4 separate ones, much better slp then.
