The hotel was halfway up a steep hill, and didnt have much in the way of a view. Our room was up some steep stairs on the first floor, which could have been worse as there was a second floor.

The host was friendly and approachable. Great place to stay. The location was excellent for a short stroll into Paignton. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. All the facilities you need. Great breakfast (also homemade jam and marmalade).

The hosts Vicky and Scott are exceptional nothing is to much trouble and the rooms are so comfortable and spotless. The breakfast is amazing such good quality produce and piping hot. Scott's homemade jam is amazing and I enjoyed his new addition of rhubarb jam

The best place we stayed in for a long time… friendy, homely, great breakfast, nice room with large bed, close to town and beach. just perfect!

Nicky greeted us with excellent customer service. She took time to talk to us and immediately made us feel as if we were part of her family. The room was very clean and bright. The breakfast was totally amazing with a huge choice. She even had a honesty box for you to help yourself to alcohol and soft drinks. Thank you Beecroft for a lovely time. 😍

If I am totally honest the bed was a bit hard for me.

Great location close to Paignton seafront and harbour, rail and bus stations. Friendly host with excellent comms and local knowledge. Room clean and had mini fridge/tea and coffee making facilities. Fan provided as very hot weather. Excellent breakfasts.

Absolutely everything was simply wonderful. The best welcome we gave ever had. So warm and friendly. The breakfast was superb. They went out of their way to provide an amazing gluten free breakfast for my wife who is coeliac. Fantastic location near the beach, town, road and rail. We loved every minute of our stay. The owners were very pleasant and friendly. The location was within easy access of restaurants. There was on site parking.

The room facilities were fairly basic. Tea and coffee was provided, but without any decaf or options. No biscuits. Although there was a fridge with fresh milk which was appreciated. The shower cubicle was very small, the doors didn't close fully and the shower itself was difficult to regulate the temperature. The shower head was really impractical to use. The hairdryer provided was broken. There was q good range of options for breakfast, which were cooked well, however better quality eggs would have enhanced the flavour.

Location was on quite a steep hill so if you are walking you need to be quite fit. There was a really good selection for breakfast and the cooked options were absolutely superb again with plenty to choose from and the portions were plentiful . there was also a choice of delicious home made jams and marmalade

The room was large well decorated, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom especially the shower was fabulous. The added touch of a desk fan left in the wardrobe for guests use was a great touch as we needed it in the hot weather we had at the time. The breakfast was fabulous with great selection, the eggs were to die for. My husband so enjoyed the eggs benedict. Such a friendly couple the ownets, nothing was too much for them. The seating area outside was very comfortable, we sat outside for a couple of hours having a drink from the honesty bar. They recommended the thai restaurant, meal was lovely, just down the road.

There was nothing we didn’t like. The climb up the hill to get to it was a bit of a challenge but that’s just our age and taxi’s are very reasonable so not really a problem.

Location was really good and walking distance to the harbour, beach, the train and bus stations. Parking available to front and rear. Property was very clean and tidy. lovely outdoor space where you can sit and relax.

The location is perfect, short walking distance to restaurants and short drive to some really good beaches. Very good breakfast, the place is very well looked after, clean, Vicky the host is an absolute legend.

Arriived too early for check-in, but lovely hosts invited us into the lounge until the room was ready. Very comfortable beds and impeccably clean room, as was the entire hotel. Breakfast was first class with great choices. Scot and Vicky are very friendly hosts with a wealth of knowledge of the local area.

Owners keep dogs although not allowed in the bedrooms,heating wasn't working first night however they did manage to sort this out for us on the second night and additionally give us an electric heater.

Room was fair-sized and comfortable. Nice view from the top floor where it was. Didn't rent a car, bus and train station are within a short walking distance. Warm, home like feeling, owners are very friendly. A choice of delicious, hot breakfasts, and continental available (if that's what you want). Good coffee and homemade jams.

breakfast room was light and airy breakfast variety was great staff friendly and chatty, happy to help with any questions asked, knowledgeable about the local area bonus that two lovely dogs lived in the property, which we met twice, on arrival and when leaving.

Owners Scott & Vicki are just lovely, very welcoming and friendly, gave us great information for a hidden gem to visit that despite many visits to the area we knew nothing about! Breakfast's were perfect, absolutely delicious and plenty of choice. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again.

I liked everything. The room was large, clean with all the expected extras including fresh milk for tea and coffee and a small fridge, which is an appreciated bonus. The breakfasts were amazing, freshly cooked and delicious food. The hostess Vicky was lovely, nothing was too much trouble for her and she and Scott made us so welcome, it felt like a home from home.

We were made to feel welcome from start to finish. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and the cute little bottle of milk in the fridge was lovely. The breakfast was amazing freshly cooked piping hot and top quality produce. The homemade jam was absolutely beautiful. Vic gave us a good tip on getting a day rider for our trip to Brixham and Torquay which made our day stress free nothing was to much trouble and we will definitely be returning again and recommending to friends and family.

There was nothing we didn't like about the beecroft Lodge everything was great.

Loved every minute

Booked this accommodation at fairly short notice, but WOW! did I fall on my feet! The room was super clean, comfortable and lots of wardrobe and drawer space plus sockets for phone charger and laptop. En suite shower room was great (looked like brand new) . 1200 wide shower (standard is 900 wide) nice powerful flow and easy to regulate. Hostess Vicky is amazing, nothing too much trouble and very friendly. Breakfast was second to none, and I've stayed in some very good hotels. Tried the full English, and eggs benedict. Both simply delicious. Scott makes home made jams... TRY THEM! They are "next level" quality. Guess where I would stay next time I'm in Paignton...

We stayed for 4 nights from august 8th to the 12th and the service attention to detail and warmth from the owners vicky and scott goes above and beyond! Nothing was to much trouble and you can tell that they both take pride in running a little gem! In the current financial climate they have got the balance just right! Keep doing things the way they are and you will always be busy!

Brilliant location, 5 minutes from the seafront. Vicki and Scott are incredible hosts, really friendly and they make a fantastic breakfast. Price is very reasonable for what you get in return. Would highly recommend.
