We arrived as guests, we left as valued friends. The owners, Paula & Ray made us so welcome. The room was spacious, immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable. The en suite was lovely with a powerful shower. Everything you can think you need has been provided by the team. The area is close to Torre Abbey, the gardens and the seafront yet is situated in a quiet and peaceful area, with bus stops situated nearby if you dont feel like a short walk. Car parking is possible at the front of Grosvenor House Breakfast was scrumptious with local produce to the fore, and includes a full English or continental breakfast, and you can have alternatives like avocado on sourdough with poached eggs, kippers and omelettes all included in the room rate. The small team are attentive and so accommodating. If you are looking for 5 star service and comfort without the huge price tag you won't go wrong booking Grosvenor House.

Myself ,my wife and boy been staying at the Grosvenor House for over 4 years , and really can’t compliment Paula and Ray enough for their professionalism, kindness and overall great vibe at the B@B .It’s location from the Seafront and train station, is also very handy . Highly recommended and we will return very very soon

We would thoroughly recommend The Grosvenor House in Torquay. We have stayed here several times and hope to come back again. Paula and Ray make you feel extremely welcome and can't do enough for you. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. They have every amenity that you need. The breakfast is excellent!!

Parking is a little tight.

Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with well presented rooms which were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was freshly prepared with good quality ingredients, nothing seemed too much trouble. The hotel is located a short way up a steep hill, but very close to local bus services. It is located behind Torre Abbey, within easy walking distance of Torre Abbey Sands and BR Station. It is only a short walk to Torquay and we managed tte walk right into Paignton (Both if us in our 60's). At £95 per night B&B this proved excellent value fie money.

Traditional B&B well positioned in Torquay. Short walk to sea front, harbour area is about 15 minutes walk. Rooms were spacious, very clean and serviced daily - with a large double bed and a great en-suite shower. Paula and Ray were very welcoming and served a lovely cooked breakfast. Parking was available but was a little on the tight side. We were there in the heatwave, a fan provided in the room helped slightly with the heat. Would recommend ad we would use again.

The hotel is in a perfect location. We enjoyed our stay very much. Ray, Paula and the team were very helpful, especially with great advice of places to visit. The room was an excellent size and was very clean. My wife and I strongly recommend.

I booked this hotel for a friend and he was very,very pleased with his stay..They were very welcoming, Super helpful. The Room was spotlessly clean, with a lovely comfy bed. Breakfast was Spot on. Would definitely recommend a stay and he said he'd not stay anywhere else, if he was in the area again.. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ray and Paula offer a fantastic, warm and friendly classic B&B experience. We had a great few days, each beginning with a lovely cooked breakfast, with a satisfying amount of customisation available. The B&B is perfectly positioned for all the delights of Torquay, the beach and town a short stroll away, with the railway station handily at the end of the street. The bedrooms were clean and spacious and I had a great, quiet, night's sleep. Ray's bar was well stocked with great local ales and we even enjoyed some pleasant evening drinks out on the patio. Convenient parking also available at the front of the B&B. Don't look elsewhere if considering a trip to Torquay.

Truly warm welcome-with a much needed “cuppa”! A very friendly place, we always feel welcome. Close enough to attractions, far enough away to be quiet. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Paula and Ray and their team look after their guests very well. They are always ready with up to date advice on what is going on, and how to get there. Stay here and you will be very glad you did.

A lovely Guest house, making you feel like you are visiting and staying with friends. Great breakfast with a choice of the full works or lighter options. Lovely clean en-suite room. The owners knowledge is second to none with tips and suggestions on where to visit whatever the weather. I would recommend staying here near the railway station and a bus route and within walking distance of the main town and seafront.

A clean and comfortable B&B in a quieter area of Torquay, close to the sea front and Torre Abbey. We enjoyed our four night stay in room one which was large, well-furnished, with a comfy bed and sitting area in the window with a table and two chairs, perfect for planning your days in Torquay. Breakfast was nicely presented and well cooked with some items available for pre-order the night before. Paula and Ray our hosts, were friendly and always happy to provide guidance on where to go or what to do in Torquay. Parking was an added bonus.

On arrival we were met by paula and ray they were a very warm friendly couple nothing was to much trouble for them we were shown to our room which was very spacious and very clean we also had a good size unsuite there is also a fully licenced bar however we went out into town so didnt use it however we did have breakfast which was cerial and a full english which was very clean and of good quality and good value for money i wish paula and ray all the best and hopefully we will see them next time we are staying that way

What we liked was the location not to far from the town and seafront ,everything was in a short walking distance. Public transport was frequently and very cheap to any destination within reason to torquay so plenty of scope to explore Devon itself.

This was the first time in years that I had been to a cosy guest house, The Grosvenor, in Torquay as I normally stay in bigger hotels out of habit rather than for any other reason. I was therefore amazed at what a wonderful welcome I received with also such useful attention to detail from Paula and Ray. I feel that the personal touch from these owners is very special as their dedication to helping the guests shone through. It felt like home from home! The staff I came across were also welcoming and helpful. My room was tastefully decorated and had everything I needed. The establishment is handy for the town and is on two bus routes if you don’t want to walk down to the seafront. The buses go to the town and harbour as well as places like Teignmouth. Paula produces amazing copious breakfasts and is a mine of information about Torquay attractions. I would definitely return to stay there!

This place is immaculate and the owners Ray and Paula are fantastic hosts. The breakfast was fabulous. It has our highest recommendation if you are staying in Torquay do yourself a favour and book here!

Third visit to Grosvenor House, a warm welcome from Paula and Ray. I cannot recommend the place more highly. Nice clean airy rooms, with complimentary tea & coffee, replaced every day. Good breakfast served with a smile. Handy carpark in front of B&B, but no need to use your car, Torquay station close by, and bus stop just up the road for a trip to Babbacombe, or down on the front for the bus to Paignton or Brixham. A short stroll down the road from the B&b through the grounds of Tore Abbey takes you to the sea front.

Outstanding breakfast, private parking with EV charging. Quiet location, but on a bus route & less than a 10 minute walk to Torquay Railway Station.

Excellent situation next to a bus stop which goes into centre of torquay. Rooms were spotless and breakfast delicious. Fresh fruit every day as well as cereals and great choice for cooked breakfast. Paula and Ray were wonderful hosts and were a mine of useful information. Can't wait to come back

Like the stuff .very friendly and helpful.lots of information and guidance . location was good as it gives you the opportunity to see the surroundings while you going to the beach side. Good bonus is they have parking and cameras outside and in.is quiet area.no music or train or traffic noise.big bonus .definitely will come again.

...Would do with a good dusting for next time hopefully and cleaning more the bathroom.we didn't make a shower as it was a spider living in there and a hair.the sink drain was pink around the edges so for me is a big 👎🏼👎🏼.also no soap in the bathroom.

The flexibility in breakfast was much appreciated

We had a lovely stay 😊 the beds were comfortable, the room was decorated lovely. We had a twin room which can also be a double which had views to the front of the property and side. The room was perfect for my mum and me 😊 There is a carpark attached to the property and if this is full, there is parking on the road adjacent to the Guest House. The breakfast was lovely loads to chose from. Paula and Ray were lovely hosts to us and made us feel very welcome 😊 We will definitely be back to the property that's for sure. Beats some of the places we've stayed in before. Definitely would recommend to everyone whether a business trip or leisure trip 😊

Our second visit (to work at the Riviera Centre for the weekend) and we shall be back next year for this annual event. Glad we have found such a comfortable and friendly guest house, very reasonable rates and great service. The perfect place to stay in Torquay. The hotel is very clean and comfortable with great beds and good facilities. The rooms are large and include family rooms, if you have children. There's a small bar if you need an evening drink and a comfy lounge if you want to relax with TV and board games available. Breakfasts are great with plenty of choices including full English, omelettes, cereals, fruit and yogurts. The hosts Paula and Ray are wonderful, so welcoming and friendly. If you don't know the area they will help you with where to go and what to do. Nothing is too much trouble. The location is great, being just 5/10 minutes to the seafront and just behind Torre Abbey area. Walking distance to the harbour and town centre and many restaurants and bars. Easy access to everywhere by car and buses available across the road or on the sea front. Would highly recommend and have booked our return trips for next year already.

The hotel is very comfortable, beautifully decorated and well maintained, on arrival at Grosvenor House guests are always warmly greeted by the owners Ray and Paula, they are both an invaluable source of information for visitors to Torquay and the surrounding area. The rooms are serviced daily at Grosvenor House by a dedicated team who support Ray and Paula to provide guests with immaculately clean rooms. What attracts us back to Grosvenor House is the homely ambiance, it really does feel like a home from home.

Easy location to find and only a short pleasant walk to the seafront. They say it’s the people who make a break away feel like home, Paula and Ray make you feel welcome and treat you like old freinds from the moment you walk through the door. Taking the time to give you loads of advice about places to eat/drink/visit during our stay so we could make the most of our time.

Received a warm and friendly welcome from hosts. Rooms clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast. Waitress with blonde hair was extremely pleasant and sociable. Shower takes a bit of getting used to. Parking could be an issue when busy. Cuppa on arrival was welcomed

Paula and Ray could not of been better hosts. Upon arrival welcomed up with a cuppa tea. Could not do enough to make our stay as good as it could be. Clean and comfortable too. Will definitely be going back 😁

An excellent hotel with wonderful hosts Paula and Ray. We were made to feel welcome immediately and enjoyed finding out about the area and days out from Paula. Our room was clean, tidy and pleasant. We had the three people family room. It was a good size. Bathroom had an amazing power shower. Breakfast was truly delicious. Husband stuck with full English every day, daughter and I explored the alternatives and had delicious pastries and waffles. There is a communal lounge area which we used to play games from the well stocked cupboard. Highly recommend this hotel.
