The hotel is situated on Babbacombe Road and it is within walking distance of the town centre. Easy walking downhill (but uphill going back.) There is a small carpark at the back - great for a small car such as a mini. We had the superking room. The bed was very comfortable and you could see the sea from the balcony. The en suite was compact, but acceptable. There was a comfortable seating area in the room. Breakfast was good. The choice was not extensive, but certainly there was enough to eat and the full English was great. The owner Raj was very friendly and welcoming and I will certainly go back there again.

The room was lovely, a lovely size, really bright and made up every day The breakfast was cooked to order, nothing was to much trouble. Raj was extremely friendly and always willing to suggest places to explore and how to get to them.

We really enjoyed our one night stay. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. It had a lovely bay window and an outside balcony with table and chairs and a lovely view. The breakfast was very good! The owner was very helpful and friendly. We really appreciated the free car parking permit he gave us. We would definitely like to stay again when visiting the area 😊

Location was close to town. All amenities were new. Room was bright. New lights, comfy bed, nice mini fridge and very clean throughout. Very kind and considerate hosts.

We had no issues and would happily stay again.

It is an authentic old house, cosy of itself, enhanced by the lovely personality of the owner. He is a warm and nice personality who knows how to make you feel at home. He helps you to a parking place and has perfect suggestions about where to eat.

Excellent facilities and service

We only stayed for one night so didn't really get to experience the full facilities. The room was small but comfortable. It was very clean and the bed was really comfy so we had a good nights sleep. The bathroom in our room was small but functional and served us ok. There were coffee making facilities and a small cabinet-top fridge although this was not switched on and there were no bottles of water which seem to be indicated in the welcome pack. The chap that greeted us was very friendly and helpful but didn't see anyone else. The location for Torquay town centre and all the bars and restaurants was fantastic. You could easily walk or if you were less mobile it is on a bus route or short taxi ride. Also on the main road to Babbacombe. The room had windows that opened and a good fan that helped keep the room at a reasonable temperature during the hot weather.

Lack of parking - The description about the parking on Booking.com was misleading. We didn't see any on-site parking which was indicated in the hotel description and if there was, we weren't directed to or offered any. If there was any, then this would have been very limited and should say so in the description. There is on road parking out the front of the hotel which is chargeable from 8am to 6pm. Alternatively, the hotel can give you a free parking permit for a public car park which is some distance away and has loads of steps so not really practical for carrying baggage or for anyone who is elderly or less mobile. Couldn't see a lift in there either. The car park is open and unsecure with loads of graffiti. This made me feel on edge during the whole stay as to whether I would have have a whole car to come back to in the morning. This somewhat spoiled the stay but it was that or get up early to move the car from the bay at the front before 8am or pay for it. If we had known about this issue before booking, we would not have chosen this hotel. Our room did not come with breakfast as part of the package and we booked it that way so that we could decide at the time but we were not asked if we wanted it when we checked in. To be fair we didn't ask, probably due to trying to sort out where to park the car.

Always stay here when we go Torquay especially the room with the balcony. It's close to the harbour, shops and eating places , the room is spacious and the bed is exceptionally large and comfy. The owner is lovely and nothing is too much trouble for my help that's needed , the tower fan was an added bonus as it was a ridiculously hot week we were there and also the little fridge was amazing . Parking is behind the property or a permit is given for a main carpark.

Nothing at all , to be picky the sink is little small to use to have a wash in but manageable.

Very accommodating owner/manager. We booked late in the evening and arrived around 10pm. The manager helped us carry our luggage to the room. As the house carpark was already full, he escorted us to a nearby carpark and provided us a parking permit for the night. The breakfast was also good, full english, toast, tea coffee and cereal. More than enough to get us started for the day.

A neat, clean b&b in a great location. Raj is a great host, accommodating and patient. Well done Raj!

Hard not to like.

Room was spotlessly clean and cool on a hot day. Small fridge in room was a welcome bonus. Hotel very close to town centre or harbour. Unbeatable value for money.

Free private parking was a tight squeeze for a big car, and the exit was via a potholed lane.

We booked a small double room for the night and it had everything we could need. I loved that every thing was labelled in the room such as the draw that had the hair dryer, wifi password next to bed. The bed was super comfy and even had spare pillows in the draw. The tv worked and the little mini fridge was excellent for a night stay. The bathroom was great and the shower was very powerful! Our room number was 8 and was spotlessly clean. We also had parking around the back of the hotel which was free of charge. The man who greated us was warm and friendly / Would definitely stay again

This was our third time staying so that speaks for it's self. Very clean and comfortable. Great location and Raj and his family are lovely people, they go behond and above to make you stay a good one. Looking forward to going back in September.

Just got home from a lovely stay at Coastal Waters. From the moment we arrived we were met by our friendly host who helped with our bags. Breakfast was a good selection of cereal, toast, yoghurt and fruit, with a full English breakfast cooked from the kitchen. Tea and coffee available as well as a few herbal options. The location was perfect, just a 5 min stroll to the harbour. We will definitely book again next time we visit Torquay.

Everything about my stay was exerlant, and would recommend to everyone, really quiet, really clean,and really welcoming.

I haven't any complaints, everything was up to a fantastic standard.

Didnt have breakfast. Location was OK and near a very good Amici restaurant. Was up a hill so a bit wearing for an elderly person, but fine for normal folk.

The location of Coastal Waters is very close to Torquay centre, short stroll down the hill will have you at the waterfront and access to restaurants, bars, shops, etc. Also has a few bars and restaurants within a 100m. The hotel was spotless and had all the amenities you need for a short break. Our host was extremely helpful and generous with his time. There's on road parking outside and access to a car park a bit further up the hill. Breakfast was a bargain and had a good choice from cereal, yoghurt and fruit to a fantastic cooked breakfast. Could not fault Coastal Waters at all and if I was visiting Torquay again, would definitely stay there.

There were a lot of stairs to get the attic room. I don't think this would be a problem to most people but I would think anyone with a mobility issues may have had a problem.

Superb breakfast and nothing any trouble. Raj was helpful at all times. This was our first bed and breakfast break and we were so impressed we will be returning.

Coastal waters is located a short walk from the town and harbour. The owner was incredibly helpful. He upgraded our room for us the day before our stay. We arrived in Torquay 5 hours before check in time and he allowed us to collect the parking permit for a carpark around the corner as soon as we arrived, held our luggage and messaged us when our room was ready a couple of hours before check in. The room, and the whole hotel was incredibly clean, we were very impressed. The room was a good size with a comfortable double bed, a tv, mini fridge-stocked with water, plenty of hangars and drawers for our things, and the bathroom was also spotless. The price was very very reasonable! We were really pleased with our stay and have already booked a room for a 3 night stay in the summer.

Fantastic location, coastal waters is a beautifully run b+b by Raj . Lovely welcome nothing was too much trouble . Raj served us a gorgeous breakfast . Recommend his full breakfast . Absolutley brilliant guesthouse,perfect location. Very clean,raj was very friendly,but gutted we didnt wake for breakfast. Would definatley recommend,and will most defintely will be visiting again.

On arrival we was greeted by lovely gentleman that helped us in with all are suitcases and took them to are room then he help my husband with the free parking and went out of hes way to show my husband were to park i did realise that when thay got back from parking the car it was the owner of the B&B are room was so lovely very clean bed was so comfortable we had many pillows to choose from as thay had spare ones in the room we also had a hairdryer in are room big screen TV mini fridge tea & coffee in the room shower was lovely .Now on to breakfast WOW full English it was the best and im very fussy but it was one of the best that I had when staying in a B&B nothing was to much trouble all ways there if you need anything only 10 minutes walk in to town .once again to Raj and family we will most definitely be back from maria & mark
