We stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The room was a great size, very clean, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. There was an excellent choice at breakfast, with both full English and continental options, plus plenty of tea and coffee. The staff were wonderful—friendly, helpful, and great ambassadors for the hotel.

It was clean. Simple with regards the stay for one night, booking in and checking out.

The TV did not work in the room. The breakfast was constantly short of items which resulted in people standing waiting and the food going quickly again. This resulted in not being able to have a hot breakfast with all items together. Thee food itself was OK, bacon had been cooked to the point it was too hard to cut.

Room and location was great. Landing at Heathrow it wasnt that far to drive to get there. Breakfast was a typical breakfast and was fine.

Everything dated and often faulty. Coffee disgusting. Bar has no corkscrew!! Requested and agreed a double bed - but got twin. TV is an antique.

Brilliant Stay at Holiday Inn Express Epsom Downs We had a brilliant stay at Holiday Inn Express Epsom Downs and honestly couldn’t fault it. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome, and everything was clean, comfortable and exactly what we needed for a relaxing stay. A special mention has to go to Matt Taverner, the General Manager. We had the pleasure of meeting Matt during our stay, and he genuinely couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and welcoming. It was lovely to see a General Manager who takes the time to speak to guests and make sure they are having a great experience. The whole stay was fantastic, and Matt’s approach really made it feel that little bit more personal. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend Holiday Inn Express Epsom Downs to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

Staff were lovely and our room was very clean.

Unfortunately the pull out bed for our girls (13 & 11) was terrible to sleep on. It was quite small and a very thin mattress so they could feel the wooden bars through the mattress and had a terrible sleep. So our room was not suitable for a family of 4. I love a strong coffee to start the day but the coffee at breakfast was so awful I couldn't drink it. By the time we got down to breakfast at 9ish, the eating area felt very dirty.

The staff are so helpful friendly, the hotel is really nice and clean, the reception/bar area was so nice and relaxed, room was very comfortable and clean we slept great!

Although the room overall was super clean, behind the net curtains on the window frame needs some attention but didn’t affect our stay we had a great experience

Breakfast included which is always good with children/families. Good location for us, we were staying to go to Chessington which was within half hour from this hotel. 24 hour pizza was good, we had this in the evening after returning from our day trip.

The sofa bed that was in our room wasn't very comfortable, children complained that it was uncomfortable. Would have been nice to have a small park possibly outside.

Family room is small, with the fold down bed apparently having only a single plank as support and not anticipating any guest over 5ft 10. Breakfast was good, though, and the staff are very pleasant and professional - liked them a lot. Location excellent for the Downs, the local pubs, and fast access to Epsom and the M25.

Oh wow, where do I start… Firstly reception were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, the bathroom & shower etc were extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable. The room had air con, which worked perfectly. The room met our needs nicely. And then the next morning, the breakfast was brilliant. An exceptional hot & cold buffet with an array of food & drink. All to an excellent standard. The staff that were to hand: topping up buffet foods and keeping tables clean were excellent. The price for what we paid: for one night, with breakfast the next day, was truly great value. We were a family of four. I expressed my gratitude and praised the staff before leaving. Top marks - thank you!

Pleasant staff, decent-sized rooms, a quiet section that does what it says, spacious lobby area. Great location, right next to the main stand of the racecourse. Reasonably priced too. Only quibble related to breakfast: limited non-meat hot options at & distinctly average coffee from the machine. Would have been a 5* review if it wasn't for that. Would definitely return.

The photo of the two double beds shows two double beds. It is in fact one double bed and the most uncomfortable sofa bed I have ever experienced. Both my wife and I had to pay for a massage after sleeping in the sofa bed.

Air conditioning unit was quite loud, extractor fan in bathroom wouldn’t turn off and again was quite loud throughout the night. Breakfast, on the “value” end. No matter where you stay, no matter how much you pay, there is no excuse for powdered scrambled eggs.

2 adults and two children staying in room and had to ask for extra towels for children to have showers as they only provided 2. The main bed was so soft that it caused us both problems sleeping and we both had backache in the morning.

Was very disappointed when I arrived and the staff was very hostile. We arrived at 1 am after attending a party, the receptionist was treating us very rudely and gave us the bare minimum in terms of information about breakfast, the wifi password, where to find the restaurant and was very disappointed. When we got in the room l, the room was full of ants, there were no complimentary bottles of water like any other hotel ive been at, nor was there tea or coffee. There room seemed to have justbeen organised but not clean and was full of dust. Horrible stay. The breakfast was horrendous, one of the waiters was kind enough to get us veggie sausages but honestly the taste of it was really bad, we only had 2 hashbrowns to eat for breakfast. When checking out, we went to buy a bottle of water and although there were staff in the restaurant and saw us, they continued to ignore us while chatting with eachother, leaving us stranded for about 5 to 10 mins before we decided to approach someone to ask them to charge us for the bottle. Never again, very bad experience.

Quiet place

Very disappointed. I was charged 36€ deposit, but from my bank account was taken 66€!!! Very poor communication with the receptionist, wasn’t any helpful with some changes in our reservation. We were 3 adults, booked 2 separate rooms but got one which was far too small. Pull-out bed was totally inconvenient for sleeping. We left one night earlier, found something else.
