Fantastic breakfast, very welcoming hosts friendly and made you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay.

Room 5 door next to our room needed looking at as kept sticking so made a loud noise when closing

Everything was amazing, Gary and Philip and Poppy were friendly; and seeing it was our first time in Torquay they gave us idea's about where to visit. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.. Food and facilities was excellent.

Biggest plus are the host Gary and Phillip who made us feel so welcome. Comfortable, clean rooms. The hotel has been renovated to an authentic high standard. Superb breakfast with plenty of choice and a well stocked bar

I was travelling with my younger brother, we were looking for a sea side accommodation in the area as we were visiting a friend. It was last minute so I was concerned about reduced options. Thankfully, we found this place! We booked the compact room which felt super cosy and clean. The towels were soft and we loved the skylight in the bathroom too. Breakfast was generous and tasty - served at the table with lovely service. All staff were kind, helpful and happy to share their love for the region and recommendations. This boutique hotel felt intimate and the location is ideal. We will be back, thank you again!

The breakfast was really good, they got the orders right and went above & beyond. The Location was OK. I got really lost, as the name of the Air B & B had the same name as some apartments on the other side of town - But hey it added to my step count for the day :)

Theres not really anything we didn’t like. If I was to be really picky it would be. Coffee pods not refreshed and bed making wasn’t really made properly. The duvet wad just pulled back on the bed.

We checked in to the Torcroft last week and all I can say is - wow! It's absolutely perfect! We loved every second of it! Phil the host (Gary wasn't there but would love to meet him next time) greeted us so warmly and he is just the coolest, nicest, most genuine guy who made us feel so welcome. He even went out of his way to get me some plasters after I hurt my foot on a walk - he is just super-cool and lovely! The location is perfect, the hotel is gorgeous, the breakfast is amazing, and I cannot recommend it enough! It has a magical touch to it - we will definitely be staying here again! xxx

I booked a weekend stay at the Torcroft with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was our first trip here and our first trip to Torquay. We absolutely loved it. Gary and Philip were so friendly, so welcoming and so helpful. As it was our first time in Torquay they gave us so much helpful advice on places to visit and eat. The place was clean and beautifully decorated as was our room. Brilliant location, just a short walk to the beach. It felt like home from home and we were properly able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The cooked breakfast was superb. So Gary and Philip and the other people helping out in the dining room, not forgetting Patti and Punkie, THANK YOU, we will definitely be booking a return visit.

It’s stunning, full of character and quirky with beautiful original features so beautifully preserved. Gary and Philip are wonderful hosts who make sure you feel comfortable and have everything you need. The garden is spectacular, and inviting. With the banana leafs and palm trees it feels like the Mediterranean rather than the uk. The room was super comfortable, and beautifully decorated. I love everything about it. Thank you!

Fantastic location. Amazing kindness and generosity from friendly hosts. They have two lovely dogs if you have the chance to meet them. Very clean. Decorations and style are cool and modern, lots of attention to detail.

I don't know where to start because everything was perfect. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful; they recommended the best beaches and places to visit. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was equally beautiful. A huge plus was having a fan in the room during those hot days. The breakfasts were something I’d love to have every day—delicious with a huge selection, plus unlimited water. The garden was beautiful and lush; I didn't want to leave. There was even a bar serving alcohol 24/7! I regret only booking one night there.

My husband and I had a last minute date night offer from the grandparents. We decided to have an impromptu night away. Wow, we felt like we'd been on holiday. After being welcomed by Gary, the loveliest man who clearly loves his business and takes huge pride in it. We walked to the beach, sat in the stunning gardens in the sun and had a glass of wine aging cards, walked into the town and went and had a meal and listened to some live music. Had a lie in(in the most comfortable beds!) And then woke up and was served the most incredible breakfast by really friendly staff. It felt like we'd had a week away rather than a night, and it felt like we'd stayed with friends. Can not recommend this boutique find and more highly! Book it, you won't regret it!

Have stayed at The Torcroft before and as usual it was a lovely stay, great hosts and a lovely breakfast. Great to have parking and location is really good for getting around on foot, car or bus. Will definitely recommend a stay here.

From the get go, this hotel (B&B) completely exceeded expectations. We were met at the door by the amazing Phillipa - who was in charge of management during our stay - and we were instantly made to feel welcome. Phillipa asked if we had any questions or queries and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay, then we headed up to our room. We stayed in room 9, extremely spacious, the beds comfortable for a restful nights sleep, choice of rainfall and normal shower, smart TV with all the applications you could need. No notes, the room was perfect. Clean, modern, tidy. 10/10! As for location, you are a 10 minute walk along the promenade and before you know it you’re in Torquay marina. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from when you’re there. The hotel itself is off the main road, minimal noise from passing traffic, location is spot on. Parking is spot on. There is a parking space available for the number of rooms in the hotel… 11 spaces for 11 rooms, we had no trouble with this at all. Of a morning, you go down for breakfast and take a seat and instantly the staff catered to your every need offering hot and cold drinks. For the breakfast options, you can have anything from the cold menu including a choice of fruit, yoghurts, toast with various toppings, granola and much more. And then you have your hot food that you order the night before including a full English (vegetarian and vegan options available too), poached eggs, eggs benedict/florentine etc - need I say more? It felt like being at an all inclusive! The staff are so friendly and welcoming and make you feel like you’re at home, away from home. We have said that should we find the time to do another staycation that Torquay is the place for us… and the Torcroft is the first place we will look at staying. We want to say thank you for having us… myself and my partner both have very fast paced jobs and it’s nice to slow down and appreciate the little things and the things around us. You’ve made this a fantastic start to our staycation. Thank you and we will hopefully see you soon. Oh and just as an added extra for you dog lovers. They have two beautiful Vizsla’s that freely roam around happily taking loves of everyone staying at the Torcroft. Definitely an added bonus for my stay. Thank you, Ben and Katie x

Die beiden Gastgeber waren sehr höflich und hilfsbereit! Großes Frühstück kann man am Vortag schon vorbestellen. Den Rest, wie Toast Marmelade usw. am selben Tag. Alles super gut!Das Haus im viktorianischen Stil war super schön. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß, schön und hatte tw. Aussicht auf das Meer. Restaurants, Pub‘s, der Hafen, Öffis waren fußläufig sehr gut erreichbar.

Das Team und die Gastfreundschaft waren wirklich super. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen! Die Räume sind sehr aufmerksam mit vielen Details gestalten! Das Frühstück war sehr gut und tolle Auswahl!

Leider kamen wir an einem sehr heißen Tag und unser Zimmer war Richtung Westen unterm Dach und es war sehr heiß. Ich denke eine Belüftung oder irgendetwas zur Minderung der Temperaturen wäre hilfreich, da die Sommern ja tendenziell wärmer werden… Das Bett war für unseren Geschmack deutlich zu weich. Evt. könnte man hier die Matratze prüfen. Für den tollen Garten und die schönen Pflanzen in den Räumen wünsche ich ihnen einen grüne Fee die hilft sie schön hu halten und zu pflegen.

The Breakfast and the special service choosing the breakfast items was outstanding. A warm welcome and connection to the owners made it sure, that we will be longtime visitors whenever its possible.

Torcroft really is a beautiful place to stay, Gary and Phillip are extremely sociable and welcoming .Nothing is too much trouble .We had a balcony room which was beautiful with a bonus of being able to see the sea lovely to relax on after a day of visiting the area. The breakfast was absolutely superb all being freshly cooked to order and Phillip your mums home made jam and yogurt were delicious. We would certainly choose Torcroft to stay again such a beautiful find Thankyou Gary and Phillip

Exceptional hosts, amazing property with beautiful period features. The location couldn’t be more perfect. The room had everything you could wish for. Sadly, our stay was cut short due to circumstances back at home, however, we look forward to returning for a longer period of time.

We stayed here for a week. Gary , Philip and the girls were lovely. They worked really hard to make everyone welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was amazing with good quality locally sourced food. The hotel decor was lovely too. We had a suite which was really large with a large bath and walk in shower. Everything was clean and well maintained. We loved the garden too , just relaxing with a book or glass of wine and the company of the beautifully well behaved dogs Patti and Punkii. We shall definitely return

Great hosts very friendly introduced them selfs then left us to it. Liked the honesty bar. Breakfast and produce was extremely tasty and cooked perfectly overall really good value for money the breakfast alone would set you back at least £30 and we only had the cooked breakfast. And there was so much more on offer. Also loved the dogs we will definitely would stay again.

We had a fabulous long weekend at the Torcroft B&B. It coincided with the Torbay air show which made it extra special. Phil and Gary were the perfect hosts. The room was exceptional and the hotel facilities were second to none. The breakfast was superb and no request was too much. The ‘honesty bar’ was well stocked. We stayed in room 6 and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The weather was very good and the final plus were the two very well behaved Hungarian viszla twin dogs. They were such fun. Thank you both for everything . We would love to come back again and stay at your lovely hotel. Thank you.

Gary and Philip were so attentive, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt so welcomed and comfortable and will definitely stay there for our future visits to Torquay. It is beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable in all areas. The honesty bar is a great idea, and we had a great evening chatting with other residents. Carafes of water and fresh milk in flasks for your morning cup of tea to take to your room at bedtime. Breakfast was very tasty. My husband had the full English and enjoyed it every morning. I thoroughly enjoyed the porridge with fruit and honey, and then the blueberry pancakes with honey with yoghurt on my other days. Lovely patio to sit out in the sun overlooking the garden was so relaxing in a peaceful area of town. It was also a lovely 10-minute stroll downhill and a long the promenade to the marina, The Torcroft is situated in a fabulous location.

The ease and comfort in all aspects of our stay, Gary was very helpful, making us feel very much at home, we will definitely stay there again when we go to Torquay, a easy to find, a short walk to the seafront. Excellent breakfast, could not be faulted in any way.
