The hosts john and nikki were fantastic and couldn't do enough to make our stay a superb experience hotel 10/10 food10/10 room 10/10 a very good holiday

Die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber und ihr Bemühen, den Gästen alles so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Das mit viel Liebe angerichtete Frühstück.

Schade fanden wir es persönlich, dass es eben nur Möglichkeiten des englischen Frühstücks gab und eben kein gutes Brot oder etwas Schinken, Käse oder auch mal Lachs. Etwas Käse haben wir auf unsere Bitte dann aber bekommen. Das Wasser im Schwimmbad war ziemlich frisch, das war schade. Leider bekamen wir immer nur ein Gesichtshandtuch trotz Doppelbelegung, da mussten wir nachhaken. In den 9 Tagen haben wir auch keine frischen Gläser bekommen. Das Zimmer war etwas klein, das Bad auch, die Tür vom Bad ließ sich nur etwas mühsam schließen. In zwei Nächten war es nachts sehr laut durch Nachbarn bis weit in die Nacht.

Yndislegt fjölskyldurekið hótel, þar sem ró og afslöppun er í forgangi. Nutum þess að vera þarna og mælum eindregið með þessari staðsetningu og kyrrð. Herbergið frábært og morgunmaturinn fullkominn, sundlaugasvæðið gat ekki verið betra. Sátum úti morgna sem og kvölds í kyrrð og ró.

Location was great, the hotel was spotless and the staff were both helpful and friendly.

The hotel is handily located for the seafront and the rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is tasty. The pool is clean and everything appears well maintained. The staff are pleasant and helpful.

Quite a walk from restaurants etc so we kept fit. We chose a compact room which was compact 🤣

The bed was a tad to small for myself and husband

John and Nicki were the most perfect hosts to this fantastic hotel. Everything was perfect from booking in, cleanliness, hospitality, location. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean! I quite liked the booking form for breakfast which made a refreshing change from the usual steamed soggy buffet style breakfast you get at other hotels.

There wasn't anything to dislike.

As always John and Nicki were very Friendly, Suportive and all the staff very Friendly, the hotel is a very good stay in for a good relaxing days 🙂 thank you John and Nicki for sure we will go back

The hospitality from Nicki, John and the staff were amazing and so helpful. The Hotel was spotless, the Breakfast was very good and plenty of choice. The Hotel itself is lovely and would definitely come back.

The bed was a bit too hard for my liking, that's all.

Cannot fault this hotel, our stay was absolutely lovely and a brilliant alternative to going abroad. Lovely pool area with really comfortable loungers and great location, 5 minute walk to the beach.

Genuinely the only thing that annoyed me was the door lock as it took several attempts to lock it when leaving the room.

Parking was tight particularly if your car is on the large side. However we did easily park on the road very close by

EVERYTHING……..😊From the moment we arrived, the welcome was outstanding. Lovely comfy bed, exceptionally clean. The facilities are stylish and lux. The swim pool was refreshing, nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel welcome and everyone was friendly… even the other guests were good company. A short walk to the harbour front, a little steep hill to and from hotel but nothing toooo strenuous. We will definitely stay again.

Absolutely nothing at all

Hotel is in a quiet location but still close to the beach. It has everything you need for a comfortable relaxing break, including a beautiful garden with a pool and sunloungers. Breakfast is excellent and there's a lounge/bar area with a pool table, plus a lovely conservatory overlooking the pool. Parking is another bonus to this highly recommended hotel.

Nothing to dislike

The staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful. It's better that it is family run instead of a big business. They make you feel a lot more welcomed and truly value each guest. Honestly I'd go there yearly, was perfect for mine and the wife's honeymoon. Next time I will book a larger room though.

Wished I had booked a larger room, not the hotels fault. That fault is mine. And also wish there was a bigger TV other than that nothing at all bad.

We had a great weekend at this lovely hotel. The hosts really made us feel welcome and bent over backwards to help in any way they could.. We arrived early in the morning and we were able to use the facilities until our room was ready which was a huge bonus and very thoughtful.. Our room was clean and comfortable and provided us with everything we needed for our stay.. Breakfast was delicious (especially the eggs!) and we were even provided with a portable breakfast for my husband who left early on one of the mornings. We loved the pool and garden area and the great location. We definitely hope to visit again next year! A hidden gem!

The owners made you feel so welcome & we're so pleasant, lovely hotel & very clean, came in to your room daily if needed anything. Booked for next year. Have been staying in Torquay many years staying at different hotels but never found one to go back to each year apart from Riviera Lodge Hotel deffently a 10.

There was nothing we didn't like

The property was very clean and comfortable. It was in a good location up a hill, with free parking available. The staff were lovely and brought food and drinks out to us around the pool. The breakfast and snack options were perfect. The drinks were also lovely. The room was a compact twin room, it had all the little extras that make a stay perfect. Water bottles by the bed, biscuits replenished, towels changed daily if needed, clean bedding and comfortable beds. We loved the hand wash and lotion. Even a shoe rack in the wardrobe and plenty of hangers. Plenty of storage. We really liked the two breakfast sittings and the options available. As a coeliac eating out it can be tricky but they catered for this really well. We will return.

What can I say Nikki & John have such a wonderful place they are so attractive & nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is spotless to a high standard inside & out & there is car parking too. Breakfast was outstanding with lots of options so the kept us going 😋 The property is on a hill but we didn’t mind that & about 10-20 minute walk to the main restaurants, theatre & Harbour. If you’re staying try visit a place called Elberry Cove it stunning you won’t regret it 😃

The only thing we did like was our leaving wish we could have stayed longer, we will definitely visit again 😃

Everything.... its a lovely hotel and Nicki and John are amazing hosts. So helpfull always there if you need anything but not intrusive. Nicki have me some good tips on places to walk to and things to do. It's exceptionally clean without being clinical , in a good location. The pool was very clean and a pleasure to swim in. All of the staff were very friendly. A wonderful choice at breakfast and your every need catered for.

Not the hotel, - the shedden hill road even if you're fit kills your legs walking back. That is the only 1 thing. The hotel was fantastic 👌

Room was a good size, beds were really comfortable Ive never slept as well even at home, hosts were really attentive, 👌 Pool and loungers were fabulous

If you ordered a cooked breakfast which was lovely it wasn't served until fruit & cereals, yoghurts ect were served so it was 25mins wait if you only wanted the cooked breakfast & toast, you did get your drinks straight away though. Even though on the first day a do not disturb sign was put on the handle the bedroom was still entered and windows were shut. Would have been really embarrassing considering my husband is deaf and has sleep apnea if he'd actually been in bed!

Fantastisk pärla, som vi ger 10/10! John och Nicky gjorde verkligen allt för att vi skulle trivas, små detaljer och omsorg i detaljer gav oss alla i familjen ett härligt avslut på semestern. Stora härliga sociala ytor att umgås på, medans rummen var lite mindre. Bra mindre lunchutbud om man ville stanna kvar på hotellet. Vi var tvungna att lämna hotellet redan kl 07 för att hinna med flyget och då väntade en varsin frukostpåse på oss i receptionen, så otroligt omtänksamt. Vi kommer gladeligen tillbaka igen!

A fan in the room would have been nice given the temperatures during our stay and there was a humming noise coming from some ductwork or an air con unit for the last couple of days which was slightly annoying but overall a really nice establishment.

Świetna lokalizacja, blisko na plażę jak i do miasta. Uprzejmy personel. Odpowiednio dużo miejsc parkingowych. Duża dbałość o czystość w pokoju jak i w całym hotelu.

Pokój, bez klimatyzacji i małym, starym tv bez YouTube czy Netflix.

C’est un hôtel tenu par une famille et cela rend l’endroit très chaleureux. La piscine est belle et agréable, les chambres sont très fonctionnelles et bien décorées. L’emplacement est paraît et on est au calme. Je le recommande sans hésitation!

All the surrounding were of the highest standard me and my partner were very comfortable

We didn't like the walking up and down the stairs because we're both in poor health

It's so quiet and peaceful, the staff go above and beyond all very friendly e.g our room was a little hot due to the heatwave and Nikki was able to secure me a big fan which was brought to my room, they have a good selection of dvds to choose from, the pool area is really nice and you can reserve the hot tub which was very nice the bar selection was great too, the breakfast was really nice good choice of food, me and my girlfriend were both really happy with our stay and will definitely be coming back again

The staff were lovely, when we arrived my husband was suffering with Sciatica and they were really great.

The size of the room was quite small, but had everything we needed.

Family run hotel, the hosts were excellent. Very clean throughout, beautiful décor. The breakfast was amazing with a good choice of fruit, cereals, soft boiled eggs to start and delicious full English to set you up for the day. The bar was reasonably priced for a hotel.

No Air conditioning which would be really benefitting

Really welcoming, couldn't do enough for us... I arrived very late Friday evening and they waited for me... Such a lovely. Warm environment. Beautiful room, comfortable bed. The breakfast set up was amazing, mark off what we wanted and they cooked it free. If I could give them a 1000% I would. Definitely going back xx

Lovely staff, they all went out of their way for us, really nice pool and the breakfast was amazing, we felt very welcomed, the hotel was extremely clean and well maintained.

The room was quite small for the two of us, and with a heatwave present in the uk we felt that, however we were provided a fan on arrival and we weren’t in the room a lot.

Owners and staff very efficient and friendly, lovely room, bar and pool. Breakfast was superb. We will be returning very soon.

The only thing that we didn't like was the too soft mattress on the bed. Also the room should've had at least a fan to cool out the air. Otherwise everything was fine.

Throughout our stay from start to finish was amazing rooms were immaculate and cosy the pool and hot tub were amazing and breakfast was nice the staff were nice especially nicky who went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met Throughout she was on the go constantly

There was no evening meals we had to go out every evening it was quite a walk to the restaurants and it was a steep hill to climb on the way back especially for elderly people with health problems.

Me and my mother couldn’t be any happier, the owners Nicky and John are amazing people, very helpful , they try to make you feel comfortable from the beginning. Hotel is amazing with all the facilities you need , we really enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor swimming pool which was heated , made our experience eventful. Cleanliness is also great, good size rooms. Breakfast is lovely too. I extremely recommend this hotel .

We were a party of 14 ladies staying for a 60th birthday weekend. John and Nicky (the landlord and landlady) go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and work extremely hard to make sure everything about your stay is perfect. The cleanliness of the whole hotel was amazing. The hotel has a beautiful heated outdoor pool and a separate freestanding hot tub. The grounds and the garden are immaculate and well maintained. The hotel even has its own well priced bar which is adjacent to the pool and very welcome on a hot sunny day whilst relaxing by the pool. Breakfast had an amazing choice and all freshly prepared and cooked individually - not buffet style. Bedrooms whilst on the small side had everything you could wish for, including tea making facilities and bottled water. Also one of our party got sunburnt and had nothing to put on it, so Nicky cut some leaves off her Aloe Vera plant and left them in the room for her to use - amazing.

For me our room was a little on the small size (comfy double) but it was not an issue for me as you don't spend your break in your bedroom.

Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast options were good and the food excellent. Bar and pool area both very nice.

Car park could be viewed as a bit tight for some less confident drivers who may struggle with parking.

Ein traumhaftes Hotel, geführt von einer Familie die unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend ist. Alles war sehr gepflegt und sauber. Der Garten schön und grün mit einem Warmwasser Pool und Whirlpool. Das Frühstück sehr vielseitig und mit Bedienung, freundlich wie auch sonst immer. So kann man den Tag gut starten. Die Lage nahe zum Zentrum, sehr gut zu Fuss erreichbar.
