The room was nice, the view and food spectacular
Fabulous. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Excellent place to stay
The hotel room was spacious and clean. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant offered a great selection of food and the breakfast gave us a great start to the day! The hotel is ideally situated for catching the ferry to the islands or visiting the Fairy Glen or Old Man of Storr. Enjoyed a fantastic break.
Fantastic location, large rooms and great hotel restaurant serving up excellent dishes.
We loved staying here. Great jumping off point for Skye, lovely staff who were warm, friendly and solicitous. Meals were wonderful as well, so kudos to the chef.
Comfortable hotel just out of town though quite a walk up a hill. Room was large and comfortable. Meals were slow in coming after ordering. The second morning we had a days travel ahead of us and thought we’d get to breakfast 10 minutes early but were not allowed to order until 8.00. We were told there was only 1 cook on but could see things were VERY slow so ended up only ordering scrambled eggs thinking it would be quick - still very slow.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious.
The view from this hotel is postcard perfect!!
My partner and I had a great night at the Uig hotel on our tour of Scotland. They called ahead to make sure we were set for dinner, offered tons of great suggestions for exploring the area and was the best host I've interacted with in a while. Marie was great to work with! Would love to come here again and spend more time.
Staff,location and meals excellent
We really liked the hotel. Our room was very cozy and the beds were comfortable.
We had a lovely stay at the Uig Hotel! The rooms were clean, cozy, comfortable and had amazing views! The staff were all kind and courteous. The food was incredible!!! As good as any Michelin star restaurant! Well done Uig Hotel!! You made our stay on Skye the highlight of our long journey.
I read good things about this excellent hotel, and I'm glad we stayed there, the receptionist / manager is Elena, and she is very friendly, smart, and enjoyable to talk with. Location is very nice, and it's quiet. Beautiful views over the ocean, so be sure to spend a bit extra and get a room with an ocean view. The nearby golf course is really a pretty and challenging but fun course, so check that out too. Thank you ! J and D
The hotel is overpriced for the condition of the room. The bed was comfortable, but some pieces of the furniture were covered with paper that was peeling off. The side panel of the tub was loose and caving in. The view from my room window was of the hotel dumpster which was not hidden from sight. The hotel decor was basic and outdated. The highlight of my stay was the food at the hotel restaurant. I highly recommend the mussels which were cooked perfectly and excellent. The fish and chips was also very good.
This property is in a stunning location on the Trotternish Peninsula. The restaurant is excellent, and the staff are great.
Very nice hotel. Perfect for the location
Wonderful location. Great views of the water and mountains. Very peaceful. Enjoyed the healthy and hearty breakfast.
Stayed 2 nights in a double room in Uig lodge. Very nice room, spacious with a large window and fantastic view. However the room did not have a fridge which I expected for the price. On site parking was very convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included a freshly cooked meal. Dinner in the restaurant was good quality. This hotel is in a convenient location for visiting Isle of Skye and we enjoyed our stay here. I do think it is a little over priced though.
We had a beautiful sea view and it was close to the fairy glen. It was very hot there in July.
The Uig hotel is perfect for an Isle of Skye stay. The dinner and breakfast were lovely and the hotel in a picturesque location. Beds and room comfortable.
Clean room, comfortable bed and excellent location. The food and staff was fantastic and would highly recommend
Very welcoming, staff very attentive. Dinner was good and breakfast excellent. Dog friendly.
Lovely hotel. Rooms really nice but very warm. Excellent breakfast but portions were a bit small.
Lovely staff both at reception and in restaurant; room had a comfy bed, best shower I’ve come across, beautiful view across to the village, ample parking. Food is very good both in the evening & at breakfast.
Lovely, friendly hotel in a great setting. Great breakfast and restaurant meals during stay. Highly recommend
Great service, great food and drink, nice quiet room. Very close to the fairy Glenn, well worth a visit.
What an incredibly beautiful setting! Very comfortable room, very friendly staff. I would stay again
A perfect place to stay in every respect. Beautiful rooms, attentive and caring staff and the food!!!- spectacular!! Will be back
The staff was wonderful. Thank you for all you did while we were there.
The Uig Hotel was such a treat! Great view from its perch above the harbor, you could watch the ferry come and go from port. The meal in the dining room was wonderful as was the hearty breakfast in the morning. Staff were fantastic communicators from Isle of Skye to the U.S. when I had questions they emailed immediately back with responses. So friendly. Really great stay!
Sorry.
All good for single occupant
Food was excellent and good choices. Staff friendly and rooms comfortable. Close to ferry and lovely area to visiy.
The Hotel was really nice, with the staff really making you feel at home and welcome. The food in the restaurant was great. I would recommend the hotel to my friends
We had a very nice stay. Comfortable room, friendly staff, good location. The food at dinner was excellent!
A rather remote location, which is both a plus and a minus. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly and the restaurant was excellent, including a complimentary breakfast.
Excellent location and view, very good breakfast, lunch and dinner options, extremely friendly staff, spacious rooms
The Hotel is in a great location near the sites on Skye and the restaurant food is amazing.
Beautiful location with a lovely view of the bay from our room. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. The food was fantastic. Wonderful gluten-free dairy free items and so flavorful! Great location to Fairy Glen and Rha Falls. Highly recommend +
All was excellent
The place is so convenient the uig ferry port is close by but not to close its a very picturesque place and our room was large enough and the bed was just awesome a good nights sleep and a great breakfast menu
Not too many restaurants in the area so I was glad that the hotel has a restaurant.
The Uig had comfortable, clean rooms with great views! The food was amazing! Get the venison with haggis and beets, and finish off with Scottish Tablet ice cream. You won’t be disappointed!
Very nice stay at the Uig hotel, hotel is faultless ,very nice meals and the staff make you very welcome, we'll come back and stay again in the very near future
Convenient location. Comfortable beds. Good food.
Ideal location to roll into and roll out for the Ferry and explore the top of Skye - we’ve stayed many times before and always received a warm welcome and enjoyed a comfortable stay.
5 min drive to UIG ferry for Tarbert. Single rooms quite spacious. Bathroom immaculate. Toiletries available.
Lovely charming hotel with view of bay. Had dinner and breakfast and the food was Very good
This was the best hotel of our trip. Everything was perfect: room, staff, views. The food in their restaurant was wonderful. Keep up the good work!
Staff was wonderful. The rooms were clean and spacious.
Great stay in a lovely comfortable and very clean room, wonderful evening meal and ideal breakfast. Shame the weather decided to be typical Scottish summer rain and windy, then super sunshine !
Lovely staff and great view. Food in restaurant was amazing
Room adequate for solo traveller - breakfast was really good
This is a friendly hotel managed by locals. Dinner is superb and worthy of any location in world. rooms are large and with sea view. Bar nice and cosy. Carpets in the extension building need replacing as smelly, but otherwise rooms are lovely
Lovely hotel we had a room in the lodge at the rear of the hotel with our 2 dogs, lovely roomy comfortable room. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Dogs were not allowed into the restaurant but were made very welcome in the bar area where our table was all ready for us in the morning for breakfast
Quiet location in a beautiful town . Hotel was nice and more spacious than others we have stayed at .
This is a very nice property. The staff was extremely nice and helpful.
Fantastic stay..make sure you walk up the road behind the hotel for a great view of the bay and hills. Thank you for a great stay.
The rooms were comfortable, spacious and have a beautiful view! The wait staff in the dining room actively avoid eye contact with you to avoid giving you any service. It happened in the morning as well as night. We decided not to eat dinner there, other than the first night, because we literally could not get anybody to come to our table. Really too bad.
Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff
Lovely hotel on the beautiful Isle of Skye!
Beautiful
Very nice hotel. Close to mini wonderful hikes and walks. Hotel offers a wonderful restaurant and the staff are all great. Looking forward to coming again.
Great stop while in on Skye… but not much to do around the hotel, Make a dinner reservation at the hotel the food was phenomenal, the staff were amazing - packed us a breakfast to go since we were headed out Early.
Comfortable hotel, large room. Lovely views and good food
We stayed in The Lodge portion behind the main hotel building. Food was GREAT, as were the bar selections. Staff are all very nice, super helpful. Easy checkin, easy parking. Great for Quiraing. Downsides: room was very hot and while windows opened, no screens, floor creaked/snapped/popped loudly in bathroom (on 2nd floor), and other guests coming and going at night kept us awake until quite late. Great views from room.
We love the location of this property because it’s close to the port of Uig , ready for our sail.We think that the property is extremely well looked after and the staff are professional yet so friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and we would recommend guests eat here.We have stayed in the main building before and it was great, lovely and peaceful. The only downside this visit was that in the suite we had the pipes for the water etc and heating were expanding and it was really annoying to hear these creak all night, other than that it was a great stay as usual.
Nice location for exploring western Skye, room was comfortable, nice breakfast.
A quick overnight trip while on the Isle of Skye, lovely accommodation and beautiful views.
Beautiful location! The single rooms are really tiny - about the size of a single college dorm room. Single bed, with very little room around it. Biggest problem - there is no elevator, so you have to haul your luggage up the stairs to the 2nd or 3rd floor. Helped one set of women with their luggage. When I offered to the same for another, she wisely determined that, at age 67, I might keel over and decided to struggle though herself! Excellent food at the hotel. Any other restaurants are a fair drive away.
Nice small hotel, no complaints on the hotel itself but a bit expensive at 300 pounds for a 3 star but Skye is what it is, very popular and very few accommodation available.
Really nice , peaceful and quiet.
Great room, great views and excellent food.
Lovely hotel really convenient for catching ferry Nice comfortable rooms we had a great view and dog friendly
Staff were wonderful! Marie was very informative of sights to see! Collun was very helpful and such a delight!
Lovely stay at Uig with great views. Right on the main road with nice, clean, updated rooms. Plenty of parking although hills and stairs are likely depending on your room. The restaurant was great and it was nice that our included breakfast was there with options. Be sure to book your reservations in advance if possible. Staff was very nice and friendly and overall a great experience!
Very super the water supply are very well, I can take a very nice shower when I stay. The breakfast with various choose and delicious, well done.
Well staffed and attentive. Menu reflecting local produce eg venison and sea trout. Breakfast had full menu and generous. 'Outside lodges' clean warm and looking out over Uig bay...beautiful. Thought price was a little elevated but am guessing its a captive audience. You get what you pay for. No negatives at all
Excellent stay, staff very friendly, room spotless and comfortable, food amazing. Already booked to return.
Ideal location. Good views. Clean accommodation.
It is a comfortable hotel with a friendly staff. Dinner was gteat!
We booked a Seaview room which had a lovely view. I think for older folk, dealing with the stairs and luggage would be an issue. They ask you to book times for dinner, but seem a bit inflexible if you come a little early even though the restaurant was not full both times we arrived, they were happy to seat us and for us to order a drink. Uig is a picturesque town, there is a local store, post office nearby and in the main town, a petrol station and brewery.
Nice clean hotel with great view of the ocean. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was included and was good. A typical Scottish breakfast was offered. Great location for visiting the surrounding area.
This was an affordable option in a touristy area. The hotel is old, but the rooms have been renovated with new carpets and bathrooms. The single room was small, but I had room to open my large suitcase on the floor when I moved the chair. I had a very nice seaside view from my window. The breakfast was fantastic. I added breakfast to my booking, and they had great menu options. One morning I had the full Scottish breakfast, and the next day I had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. I had supper there both nights, and the meals were good. The dining room and breakfast area both gave seaside views. I would definitely go back to the Uig Hotel.
Absolutely breathtaking view. Hosts and servers were very kind and helpful
We had a fantastic stay at Uig Inn. The staff was wonderful and we had one of the most memorable dinners of our whole trip! The food was exquisite!
Restaurant onsite and it was excellent
Absolutely loved our stay here while on Skye. Charming hotel in a beautiful location. Would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a jumping off point while exploring the isle.
Very helpful staff, clean rooms, amazing food in their restaurant, great views from the property.
Good view, comfort and cleanliness. Very good restaurant for dinner. Includes breakfast with many choices and tasty food. Highly recommend 👍👍👍👍
The staff were very welcoming, made you feel like family
We loved our stay at the Uig Hotel. The restaurant was amazing! The room was decent and worked well for what we needed.
Lovely stay at the Uig, great staff great food everything nice ;)
Definitely more bed and breakfast vibes vs hotel but it was super cute, wonderful area convienent to most of the popular spots in Uig/ Isle of Skye. The food was what won me over, was and still is the best food I’ve had all while in Scotland.
Comfortable, clean, friendly.
We enjoyed our stay in Uig Hotel. Staffs were accommodating and friendly. We also dined at the restaurant and meals are tasty! Definitely will be back.
Wfi poor no transport to anywhere 1mile walk to Uig and 9miles to nearest village bus service poor and stops at 7-30 and taxis are hard to get
Another fantastic stay at my favourite Highland hotel. Warmest of welcome, delicious food, stunning landscape and comfartable bedroom.
Staff was very friendly and restaurant was superb. Great good quality!
