It was awesome

Great host and very friendly and helpful. Cute cozy cottage with great views iof the harbour.

This cottage B&B was cozy with amazing views and the host was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant at the hotel at the top of the hill which is owned by them was great for breakfast and dinners. Highly recommend this place!

Love the attention

Absolutey stunning property with a gorgeous view of Uïg, the breakfast included was delicious and served by a very attentive and kind staff. If staying on the Isle of Skye I could not recommend a better place.

Beautiful property

I have nothing but positive things to say about our 3-night stay at the Old Pier Cottage. This was hands down the highlight of our trip. The cottage is spacious and comfortable. It is impeccably clean. The HUGE bathroom with heated floor and tiled shower was a nice surprise (we’re American so we love a spacious bathroom!) Billy and Anne are your hosts. They live on site and also manage the Uig hotel, where we had our delicious breakfast each morning. The staff there is lovely and accommodating. Obviously you don’t come to Skye to sit in your room but we found sitting at our table and watching the Caledeon MacBrayne ferry boat pull in and out of the pier a very relaxing way to pass the time. We found Old Pier’s location good for the things we wanted to see on Skye. The Fairy Glenn is an 8 minute drive from the cottage and when you go at sunset, you have the place to yourself. We are grateful for our stay here. Thank you Billy for being so welcoming and accommodating!

Spent a comfortable 2 nights at this beautiful cottage overlooking the bay outside Uig. Easy to find (marked on Google Maps) and spacious layout. Self check in was a very simple process. Breakfast is at the Uig Hotel on the main road (5 min drive, 20 min walk) with its friendly staff and tasty hot options alongside standard cold buffet items.

The room within the cottage was clean, comfortable and provided all that was needed. There was ample storage for belongings and the view was amazing. It was good to watch the Ferry arriving and departing from the pier. All in all excellent and would certainly recommend this accommodation.

Lovely owners and a great breakfast!

The property is right by the ocean, and it's breathtakingly beautiful. The staff is prompt and friendly. They provide free breakfast which was one of the best we had in Scotland. Dinner at the hotel, is something I would highly recommend. Recommending this place to all of my friends and family who want to go to Skye.

A great base to explore the north of Skye

Beautiful place to stay. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and quiet, the location is beautiful, with a stunning view in the bay Breakfast is at the nearby hotel, a 10 mins refreshing walk, which is totally worth it, as the hotel serves a very good breakfast cooked to order. The facility is self check in, the indications provided were clear and easy to follow. We had no issues. We really enjoyed our stay and would totally recommend it.

Stayed at the Old Pier B&B, Uig, for 4 nights whilst touring the island with a pal. Uig Hotel provided a fantastic breakfast every morning, and a pack-breakfast for our final morning, due to red-eye departure. Room was perfect for our needs, and a great base for our stay. Landlord was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful whenever required. View over the bay was gorgeous, assisted by the great weather during our stay. I’d recommend staying there to anyone looking for accommodation, and will return again when the time is right.

An absolutely amazing property. You can’t get a better location with uninterrupted views across Uig. The hosts are very helpful and happy to provide ideas for day trips for your stay, and available to answer any questions you may have. The room was amazing, very cleaning, functional, and spacious. The large bathroom was beautiful and clean and had a great shower. Parking is available on site and there is a a beautiful area to sit outside and view the harbour and watch the sunset. It was so quiet and peaceful. We had the included breakfast at the hotel each morning where a great selection was provided and the food was amazing, the staff were helpful, service was great and they were always friendly. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend The Old Pier Cottage. We hope to return again one day. Thank you for a great stay.

The old pier cottage was perfect for us.The hosts billy and anne could not do enough for us.The breakfasts were great,I cannot praise this place enough

This was a LOVELY property and the owners are so kind. The view alone is worth booking for. Their restaurant (at the hotel) serves delicious dinner as well and is a short walk away.

This property was one of the highlights of a wonderful two week driving trip around Scotland. It is located on a beautiful bay that faces west with otters and herons. The sunsets were spectacular. The town of Uig is well-located for highlights of sky like the Fairy Glen, the Quiriang, and Old Man of Storr. Comfortable bed, nice shower, delicious breakfasts at the nearby Uig Hotel.

This was a beautiful spot with a beautiful view of the lake. Awesome breakfast included. We would absolutely stay again. If I had only one complaint is that the walls are thin with the other room next door otherwise it was perfect!

What a fantastic place, right on the waterfront looking out to Uig harbour. Very quiet, lovely spotless room with fantastic views, fridge in the room was a bonus. The cottage owners also own the Uig hotel where excellent choice of breakfast was included. We also had dinner in the hotel which was exceptional, they must have a great chef. So lucky to have found this place. Great location to explore Skye.

Lovely view from our window, modern bathroom/toilet, full hot breakfast included from the hotel up the road, very close to the Fairy Glen which meant we visited at twilight which was magical - we were the only ones there, other than the sheep, which was a completely different experience than when it is covered in tourists. Close to the ferry to Lewis and Harris

Great view! Nice two bedroom with lounge area with bathroom in each room. Breakfast was huge and delicious! I

This was a great location! Thank you for all the help!

Perfect two day stay. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. The view from our room was amazing. Breakfast and dinner at the Uig Hotel was a bit of a walk but achievable.

A lovely little cottage on Uig Bay owned by the hoteliers of the Uig Hotel. A wonderful breakfast was included at the hotel a 10-15 minute walk away. Our room had an ensuite and a beautiful view of the bay. Parking was easily accessible. Information on dining, historic places, hikes, pubs, etc. was readily available from the hotel staff. Service & staff were exceptional. If there was ever a place to get lost & press the reset button, the Isle of Skye was it for us! Enchanting.

This property is right on water so there is beautiful view, comfortable beds, and breakfast is awesome at the Uig Hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful and shared information about fun local places to visit.

Everything was wonderful!!!

Great view of the harbour and very easy self check in. Great breakfast. Loved having a fridge in the room.

The Old Pier Cottage is beautifully located right on the water. Stunning views from your windows. Breakfast included at the Uig hotel was delicious. We ate our dinners here as well. Our room was very clean and comfortable. A perfect place to stay for a few days in Skye.

Old Pier Cottage with Billy and Anne was the perfect stay! A warm and welcoming space located in the heart of Uig. A beautiful 5 star location. Views were incredible at all times. Accommodations far exceeded expectations! Great stay at an even better price. Can't recommend Old Pier Cottage enough. And the Uig area!! We'll definitely be back. Thank you so much!

Liked everything. It was handy that the owners also owned the hotel, so meals were no problem.

The only thing was we had to go for food to the hotel which we had to take the car other than that it was very good.

Beautiful area, friendly owner , totally enchanting. Uig is just a few minutes from the Fairy Glen- don'tmiss it! If you enjoy exploring there are waterfalls and lovely woods.

Excellent location. Clean and spacious room. Very helpful staff. Superb breakfast (and dinner at the Uig Hotel). Very close in proximity to attractions. Highly recommended for couples.

Lovely 3 days at Old Pier Cottage. It was great to be down by the water's edge and so quiet. Our accommodation was very clean and comfortable. A fridge was a bonus for keeping drinks cool. The meals in the Uig Hotel were very good and we dined there each evening as well. The pleasant walk to it is half a mile uphill, so you'll need a car if it is very wet.

Delightful location - very comfortable room - delicious breakfast in the nearby hotel. Altogether a lovely place to stay. Ideal for boarding the ferry to Tarbert.

Exceptional view! If you want to feel you are in The Isle of Skye then this the place. A 20 minute drive to Portree.

This was such an amazing surprise. We loved it. Would absolutely recommend this place and stay again.

Lovely room in a small cottage overlooking the Uig Harbour. Short drive or walk up to the Uig Hotel for breakfast. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice and all freshly cooked to order.

The couple who run it also run the UIG Hotel too, which is where you have the breakfast. The lady was lovely and very helpful! We ate at the hotel the evening too and the food was great. Views from the room are beautiful, overlooking the water. Lovely and quiet, and very convenient if you are getting the ferry from Uig. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely location. Breakfast is included but it is up at the hotel about a half-mile away. Excellent breakfast. Downside is that the B&B is a bit expensive but maybe that is Skye as a whole, but it was more than we paid at any other place at which we stayed.

Superb cottage in a great location. Food at the associated hotel excellent. Service first class.

The Old Pier Cottage is lovely! The views from the room are fantastic and plenty of walking can be done nearby. Billy, the host, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast was up at the hotel but was well worth it. Really couldn't fault this place at all. Great for watching the sunset! We will be back

Old Pier Cottage was our favorite stop in our trip through Scotland. The view from the cottage is absolutely beautiful and you are so close to all of the best hikes in the Isle of Sky. We also were able to go to the Uig Hotel for free breakfast (the owner of the cottage also owns the Uig Hotel) and went there for dinner which was the best dining experience in the Isle of Sky. Lastly and most importantly, our host is such a kind, personable, and hospitable person who made the experience very unique (added bonus of seeing his two beautiful dogs roam around the property with him and you can say hi to them if you're a dog person).

The room was clean and comfortable. The views from the room are fabulous. Our only regret was that the ferry to the Hebrides was cancelled and the cottage was fully booked, otherwise we would have stayed on.

Location was perfect. Breakfast was so delicious every time. The loch views couldn’t be beat.

We absolutely loved our stay at Old Pier Cottage. We loved the location, the room, the linen, the quietness, the cleanliness - everything in fact! and will certainly be looking to book again in the future.

Great place! Very clean. They communication was amazing!!

Lovely cottage facing the bay.

Lovely stay, great view from room. Breakfast included at local hotel which was excellent. List of places to visit and directions on how to get there was very helpful

Simply a great experience. Hosts are amazing; all services first class. Isle of Skye remains a hidden gem. Anne and Billy are great hosts. I would visit again!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Old Pier Cottage. The staff up at the hotel was wonderful, the meals were delicious. Our room was spacious, the bathroom was modern and clean. We wish we could have spent our whole week vacation there, but our adventures took us elsewhere. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful place! Clean rooms, friendly hosts would highly recommend!

The property was clean, warm with adequate facilities. The sounds travelled through the walls readily. The breakfasts and staff were amazing but it was at least a 10 minute walk uphill in the morning or a not very eco friendly drive!

What an amazing find ! Billy, the owner, got in touch to offer dinner reservations as the choice is limited in Uig and then called us during the night to let us know there was an Aurora display outside. As for the accommodation, it’s a very high standard and also includes a communal sitting room, which after a week of hotel room jumping, is a welcome addition, no more sitting on the bed to watch tv ! Loved it !

Amazing views from the Old Pier Cottage towards the harbour at Uig. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is at the Uig Hotel, a short drive away. We also had two dinners up at the hotel, great food and attentive and friendly service. We will definitely be back.

All round fabulous place to stay. Wish we were still there!

Beautiful view of the sea snd excellent location to hiked and shops. Our suite was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. A perfect way to start a touring/hiking day. Loved our stay here.

Fantastic Location . views are outstanding , service first class . The food at the Uig Hotel is equally first class and you should book in advance as it is very busy

The accommodation was excellent and extremely clean. The views over the bay were fantastic. One evening Billy (the owner) called us late evening to let us know the northern lights were visible which we would have missed otherwise.

Beautiful cottage with a sea view. A perfect location to witness the splendid sunset. Comfy bed, en-suite homely settings. Warm inside. Breakfast is provided at the nearby hotel, very tasty.

We liked everything about this stay, the location, the scenery & the links to the hotel. Everyone on hand to help and assist if required and the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Big thank you to the owners Billy & Anne

Nice place to stay and wind down

Old Pier cottage looks directly out to the bay at Uig. Thanks to Billy and his staff we had an exceptional stay eating breakfast and two evening meals at the hotel. We will be back next year to this stunning location to once again spend a little more time on the island.

A lovely warm clean room with amazing views

Fantastic place to stay. Very clean and tidy with parking right outside. The view was just fantastic. Breakfast and evening meals were taken just up the road in the Uig Hotel which were also very good. We will return.

Great stay in an amazing location in the Skye!

The guest entrance and entrance to the owner's house are next to each other to the left of the house as you approach it, the guest entrance being the first one you come to. The room was immaculate and had a lovely view. There is no breakfast at the property which you can order from the hotel across the bay (same owner as Old Pier Cottage), as also dinner.

Fantastic room in a fantastic area . Superb view . Room was very clean and spacious . Breakfast and dinner at nearby Uig hotel is highly recommended !

Really comfortable and peaceful. The food at the associated Uig Hotel was very good.

A great location with uninterrupted views. An exclusive property with just two rooms in the building. Food was served to a good standard in the nearby hotel (same proprietors) at reasonable prices.

Just a stunning location and a fantastic room. Breakfast and evening meals a short walk away to the Uig hotel staff were great and food was excellent. We were lucky to have great weather and some lovely walks will be back that’s for sure

Beautiful location, clean and spacious, liked the fact it had a fridge

Just back from our stay in Old Pier Cottage in Uig in the Isle of Skye and I cant speak highly enough about it.The cottage itself was spottless and situated lookin over the sea, breathtaking views especially the sunset. The room was immaculate, very comfy beds and wonderful bathroom. The added bonus was the link this propertyhas with the nearby Uig Hotel, just a few hundred yards away. The hotel was wonderfully clean and with the current situation with Covid 19 their cleaning regime was exemplary with hand sanitizers readilly avaliable ,social distancing ,and each booth in the restaurant seperated with a tastefully done barrier so as being extremely hygenic it was never obtrusive. As for the food in the Hotel it was out of this world and very reasonably priced, breakfast and dinnerwas was so tasty and the portions were more than ample. But the stars of the show were definately the staff, who made you feel so welcome and couldnt do enough for you even with the added burden of face coverings I applaud them.It really is the perfect place to stay to discover this magical island and if you want to tour more the ferry port is a few hundred yards away to take you over to Lewis.but I would have no hesitation in reccommending these cottages to anyone who wishes to come to Skye and I hope to return one day myself.P.S.the petrol prices here are much cheaper than the nearby mainland.

We knew there were 2 rooms at the property. BUT we did not think they would be adjoining rooms. This needs to be explained better.

Great view and very clean. We had a wonderful stay.

Comfy beds, delicious water, gorgeous view of the sea, the food at the hotel is exceptional.

Great view on the bay and fishing port. Room clean and comfortable. Easy to park. Just the main hotel staff in the evening was not particularly welcoming. Morning staff for breakfast was great.

Fantastic hosts and unreal views of uig terminal. Highly recommended

This property is in an absolutely beautiful location. William the operator is personable and made us feel very welcome. I wish we could have stayed longer! I would definitely stay at this property again and would highly recommend it to others.

Great view and spacious. Not in Portree, but was easy to find.

Wonderful place to stay! Comfortable, clean, quiet, great view. Very helpful hosts. Delicious breakfasts & dinners available at the UIg Hotel.

The views and location were stunning, and the staff all really friendly and helpful

The owners went above and beyond. They were very accommodating and friendly. Their restaurant was wonderful! A real gem!!

There is only one word - 'Exceptional'. We would definitely love to stay again!!!

The room was spacious and I liked having a mini refrigerator. It was very quiet. I loved it. There are only 2 restaurants and a cafe in Uig. So, just make sure you eat before you get back to the cottage.

Friendly staff up at the hotel where we checked in. We ate in their restaurant, very nice meal, plenty of choice, food lovely and hot, great views. Also had breakfast which was excellent and very good value. Staff very helpful with directions and recommendations of places to visit, nothing was too much trouble. We only stayed one night as we were catching the 2pm ferry to Harris, perfect location. Would definitely stay her again.
