The property felt very homely but maybe a touch tired at the end of the season. Information on the property was sparse including arriving information, but this didn’t affect our holiday.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026wir halten uns derzeit mit unserer Familie in einem Ferienhaus auf der Isle of Lewis and Harris auf, das wir über Booking.com gebucht haben. Leider ist der Zustand der Immobilie völlig inakzeptabel und weicht erheblich von dem Eindruck ab, der durch die Beschreibung und die Fotos auf Booking.com vermittelt wurde. Wir haben wiederholt versucht, den Eigentümer der Unterkunft über die auf Booking.com angegebene Telefonnummer zu kontaktieren. Wir haben auch E-Mails und SMS gesendet. Trotz dieser Versuche haben wir keinerlei Antwort erhalten. Wir bitten Booking.com daher um dringende Intervention in unserem Namen. ## 1. Schwerwiegende Sauberkeits- und Hygienemängel Der allgemeine Sauberkeitsstandard im gesamten Haus ist extrem mangelhaft. * Böden: Die Teppichböden im Erdgeschoss, im Treppenhaus und im Obergeschoss sind sehr alt, stark fleckig und unzureichend gereinigt. * Küche: Die Küchenschränke und -oberflächen sind klebrig und mit Fett, Kaffeeflecken und anderen Rückständen bedeckt. * Geschirr: Ein Teil des Geschirrs und der Küchenutensilien ist nicht richtig sauber. * Stauraum: Zahlreiche Schubladen und Schränke enthalten alte, schmutzige und offenbar ausrangierte Haushaltsgegenstände und Papiere. * Geräte: Die Küchengeräte ist extrem alt, schmutzig sowie klebrig und befindet sich aus unserer Sicht in keinem akzeptablen Zustand für eine Ferienunterkunft. * Wände & Türen: Wände, Türen und Schränke im ganzen Haus weisen zahlreiche Flecken, Fingerabdrücke, beschädigte Lackierungen und Anzeichen von jahrelangem Mangel an gründlicher Reinigung und Wartung auf. ## 2. Motten, Insekten und unbrauchbare Schränke Besonders besorgniserregend ist das Vorkommen von Motten und anderen Insekten im gesamten Gebäude. Beim Öffnen von Schränken und Schubladen sind Motten zu sehen. Mehrere Schränke enthalten alte, unangenehm riechende Textilien und persönliche Gegenstände der Eigentümer. Die Schränke selbst sind schmutzig und klebrig.

Reviewed May 20, 2025Airebroc is in a stunning location at the beaches of Uig. The house is spacious, comfortable, very well equipped, perfect for a convivial group. We enjoyed our morning coffee and evening drinks in the airy, bright, and warm sunroom. I am so happy we found Airebroc and am certain we will stay there when we return to Lewis.
